Jeremy Clarkson and his Top Gear co-stars have sparked religious outrage after dressing up in burkas on the Boxing Day special.

Clarkson and Richard Hammond decided to dress in niqabs, a form of the burka where everything but the eyes are covered, in order to disguise themselves on the road.

They also got James May in on the act when they greeted him from hospital after he fell and hit his head on rocks in the Syrian desert.

Check this article by Weasel Zippers. Infuriating is one word for it. Chasing bad legislation with worse legislation would be close to the mark and why I am against a burka ban. Asking governments to solve problems they created by bad, freedom destroying legislation with more of the same creates a number of possible results none of which, is a solution to the initial problem. In any case, expect this kind of CAIR promoted legislation in a town near you.

Once again, Canada’s media cartel demonstrates it’s commitment to the narrative as opposed to honestly informing the public as to what actually takes place in the world, and reliably informing us as to what real threats we face or dangers exist. Their really is no limit to bandwidth. The CRTC must be un-made as does all the other regulatory bodies for TV and radio. Even CFRA will withhold the name of a suspect if it is Arabic sounding, or withhold a description of a wanted perp if he is black.

This in itself is criminal.

MOGADISHU, Somalia – A leader of Somalia’s Islamist insurgency threatened to attack America during a speech broadcast Monday.

“We tell the American President Barack Obama to embrace Islam before we come to his country,” said Fuad Mohamed “Shongole” Qalaf.

Al-Shabab has not yet launched an attack outside Africa but Western intelligence has long been worried because the group targeted young Somali-Americans for recruitment. About 20 have traveled to Somalia for training and at least three were used as suicide bombers inside Somalia. UK Rundown 2010: Shaken but not Stirred

With an election having taken place in May, 2010 should have been the year in which politics took center stage. Instead, the pressing issues of the day were largely ignored during the campaign period, as they have been for the last decade. Partly as a consequence, 2010 turned into the year in which politics spilled over into the streets.

Welfare cuts were, perhaps inevitably, an issue that the parties somewhat tackled. Still, students – the base of Britain’s third party, the Liberal Democrats – expressed their outrage at the university-fees hike proposed by the coalition government (of which the Lib Dems are the junior partner). The students were also whipped up into rioting throughout November and December by various socialist organizations – a situation that appears to have remained off the radars of both the authorities and the media.

As former University College London student Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab attempted to blow up an airplane over Detroit on Christmas Day 2009, the year also began with perhaps some unfortunately rhetorical questions about radicalization in the UK. Islamist extremism and terrorism, both attempted and actual, were more in evidence in 2010 than ever before, except of course for 2005, the year of the 7/7 London attacks: throughout this year, members of the banned extremist organization Islam4UK were especially visible. Islamist infiltration in the UK is less easy to detect, but the surface was scratched enough – especially by center-Right newspaper The Telegraph – for it to have been periodically exposed.

If the authorities were shaken by Abdulmutallab’s attempt to murder Americans, apparently they were not all stirred to grasp the extent of the problem in the UK. Others were: 2010 saw a rise in the number of anti-Islamist protests, held across the country, largely by the English Defense League movement – described by Prime Minister David Cameron as “terrible people.”

December 2010 brought yet fresh embarrassment, with a virtual repeat of December 2009: Taimour Abdulwahab al-Abdaly, a former student at the British city of Luton, carried out a suicide bombing in Stockholm, killing, however, only himself.

With special attention to radical Islam in Britain, some events are more dramatic than others, although they all tell us much about the broad state of the country. Other important events, such as the general election, occurred, as well as some that are minor, but which may give a more complete and nuanced picture of Great Britain today.

FINNISH DA WANTS TO APPEAL DISMISSAL OF CHARGE IN HALLA-AHO CASE

Here’s a fact. Finland’s assistant district attorney, Jorma Kalske, and the Finnish legal system that employs him are not interested in the truth. They are solely interested in instituting faulty, politically correct government policies and will use any or all means at their disposal to do so. If it means lying, they will, as they did (under Kalske’s tutelage) in their trumped up case against Jussi Halla-aho earlier this year.

Halla-aho wrote one of the more eloquent essays highlighting the gross inequality and disparency  in how the state treats minorities and majority communities in Finland. Click here for a three part video where he describes his thinking in writing the blog post.

Halla-aho’s blog writing going before the Supreme Court

Assistant district attorney, Jorma Kalske, intends to appeal to the Supreme Court in the case of Jussi Halla-aho’s blog posting. Halla-aho has not yet indicated whether he will seek to appeal the case. Deadline for applying for authorization expires on Tuesday, 28.12.

The assistant district attorney is appealing the Supreme Court of Appeal’s decision to dismiss charges against ethnic agitation.

The Helsinki municipal politician and MP candidate Jussi Halla-aho received at the end of October from the Court of Appeals a fine for violating the sanctity of religion.

According to the Helsinki Court of Appeals, Halla-aho had published an opinion on an Internet site, which was found to have defamed and discredited the sacred institutions of the Islamic communities.

Instead, the charge of inciting against an ethnic group were dismissed, because according to the Court of Appeal the writing as a whole was not considered to have exceeded the allowable exaggeration and provocation threshold.

Syria was behind the attack on the Danish embassy.

At least 38 people were killed in Nigeria and six wounded in the Philippines over the festive period in attacks targeting churches and Christmas shoppers.

Pope Benedict XVI, told pilgrims and tourists in St Peter’s Square that he was saddened by the attacks on Christians and a suicide bomb attack in Peshawar, Pakistan which claimed 40 lives.

“I want to express my heartfelt sorrow for the victims of these absurd acts of violence and repeat an appeal to abandon the path of hate and seek instead peaceful solutions to conflicts, ” he said.

“The earth is once again stained with blood as we have seen in other parts of the world.”

A week ago, he said Christians are now the world’s most persecuted religious group and lamented that some had to risk their lives to practise their faith. Continue Reading →

Gothenburg: Coptic Church closed down due to internet threats

The Coptic Christian church in Agnesberg (Gothenburg) was closed down after receiving an internet threat. The threat was vague, but the Swedish security service was called in .


There are about 400 Coptic families in Sweden, most living in the Stockholm area. The community in Gothenburg has about 200 members.

On Christmas Eve the community’s pastor, Father Shenouda, was visited by four police officers who said that there were calls on the internet for what the police called ‘activities’ against certain Christian churches in Europe.

Father Shenouda contacted his community members and told them that Sunday’s mass was canceled. The church is closed for up to two weeks, to enable the police to look for possible bombs. The Coptic Christmas Eve is on Jan. 6th, and they hope to be able to use the church by then.

European terror attack feared as al-Qaida fighters disappear from base in Lebanon

Intelligence services throughout the Middle East and Europe are scrambling to track down more than two dozen fighters linked to al-Qaida who have recently left their base in southern Lebanon.

The missing men are thought to have gone to Europe by a newly established route through Syria, Turkey and the Balkans, and multiple intelligence sources in Lebanon warn that the group appears to be operational and could be planning attacks in Europe in the holiday season.

“Yes, they have left the camp,” confirmed Munir al-Maqda, a senior Palestine Liberation Organisation official in the Ain el-Hilweh refugee camp, where the fighters had been hiding for the past few years. Because the Lebanese army is not allowed to enter the country’s 13 Palestinian refugee camps, militants have long sought refuge inside them.

Two Lebanese intelligence service officials – who could only discuss the matter off the record – said Lebanon was co-operating with European intelligence organisations to track down the militants, who are described as “extremely dangerous”.

The militants, who based themselves in an area on the outskirts of the Ain el-Hilweh camp – Lebanon’s largest and most densely populated refugee centre, with more than 50,000 people living within one square mile – had been a disparate group of freelance fighters and jihadists thought to have carried out a series of attacks in Lebanon over the last five years that targeted the Lebanese army, Christian districts and UN peacekeepers in southern Lebanon.
