Gothenburg: Coptic Church closed down due to internet threats

The Coptic Christian church in Agnesberg (Gothenburg) was closed down after receiving an internet threat. The threat was vague, but the Swedish security service was called in .


There are about 400 Coptic families in Sweden, most living in the Stockholm area. The community in Gothenburg has about 200 members.

On Christmas Eve the community’s pastor, Father Shenouda, was visited by four police officers who said that there were calls on the internet for what the police called ‘activities’ against certain Christian churches in Europe.

Father Shenouda contacted his community members and told them that Sunday’s mass was canceled. The church is closed for up to two weeks, to enable the police to look for possible bombs. The Coptic Christmas Eve is on Jan. 6th, and they hope to be able to use the church by then.

    I hope we realise that this New Global Jihad is not going to be settled in a peaceful manner- time for that is long past.

    A war is coming -all it requires is one major incident and a leader of the calibre of Margaret Thatcher or Churchill in the US or the UK.

  3. DP111 I see several leaders of that type in the US, but I don’t know about the UK, what we are going to have to wait for is for Obama to be removed from office. Unless the US or our allies are under massive attack (conventional, chemical, biological or nuclear) that isn’t going to happen before January 2013. What is more likely is massive civil unrest started by the anti-austerity groups in Europe that have the potential of turning into civil wars in most nations. And I am including the possibility of a civil war in the US in the mix, I know this will give the Muzzies a chance make gains in all western nations, but it will also be the start the removal of Islam from the West.

  4. DP111, Richard, I see it coming too. Some holdouts still call the extremists a “tiny minority” among a large peaceful population, however we had all better take the UK’s polls seriously – 37% of UK muslims approve of jihad and 40% of UK muslims want their Sharia law.

    This is no small minority especially when you count the leftist dhimmu apologists who will fight with them, and when the shit hits the fan it’s gonna be really ugly.

  5. A poster to youtube explained the logical fallacy of ‘special pleading’ which was quite enlightening. After looking it up, I realized how so many of us have fallen for it to one degree or another. Check it out, then answer this question..

    Which one of the following is a special pleading logical fallacy?:

    1. Nazis, Irish and Muslims bombed London.

    2. Nazi extremists, Irish extremists and Islamic extremists bombed london

    3. The Nazis, the Irish and Islamic extremists all bombed London.

Number 2 is, the Nazi’s weren’t considered extremists, some of the Irish were and are, but to my way of thinking the Moslem extremists are the ones who are trying to change Islam to a non violent religion. If you use my take on Islamic extremism it is number 3, it all depends on what you mean by Islamic extremists.

    I also see increasing references in Europe to “Heimat”.

    We are heading to a war that was never necessary.

    As for Sweden, if they cant deport Muslims, ie the ones who are going to destroy Sweden, they might as well deport Iraqi Christians back to Iraq.

    What? They are doing that already? Oh well.

DP111 all wars are equally unnecessary and necessary, if people would stop trying to push other people around no war would be necessary, since some people thrive on ordering other people around war is necessary to maintain our freedom. One of the reasons for the problems we are now facing is the development of nuclear weapons, without them the West would have fought communism in a conventional war sometime between 1965 and 1975. During and after the war the evils of the left would have been exposed and their influence destroyed for many decades. Since we didn’t fight that war the left maintained power in many nations and continued to work to destroy democracy and create a one world socialist government. The unforeseen consequence of this was the raise of Islam and their going on the march again, as is usual in the beginning of major wars the west is divided and unsure if we really need to fight. I don’t know how long we have before the fighting is widespread rather then terror attacks but I doubt it will be much longer. The Moslems are moving too fast and I doubt they will wait for much longer before they try to achieve total victory.
