Watch this interview by New English Review (NER) Senior Editor Jerry Gordon with Nidra Poller, an American journalist and novelist living in Paris, France. “Why Does the Decline of Islam Have to Fall on Us?–Poller’s contribution to the June 18th-19th, 2010 NER Symposium, “Decline, Fall & Islam–is published in the July edition of NER.
In this interview, Poller discusses–against the background of her reporting of Islamic anti-Semitism in France– her concerns about increasing Islamization of America, abetted by President Barack Hussein Obama. She warns viewers that Americans have elected a tyrannical president who imposes his will and tramples individual freedoms granted under our Constitution. She notes that Europeans who had looked to America as a bastion of resistance to jihad are now in a quandary about where they might seek refuge from ominous developments in Europe.
Nidra Poller is an American novelist and journalist living in Paris. She has written extensively on the growing problem of anti-Zionism / antisemitism in Europe and has published in the Wall Street Journal Europe, Standpoint, Commentary, New English Review, City Journal, Jerusalem Post, AtlasShrugs, Washington Times, Jewish Quarterly, NY Sun, National Review Online, Pajamas Media and other outlets in the U.S., Europe, and Israel. Her translation of Emmanuel Levinas’ Humanism of the Other and Unforseen History are in the catalogue of the U. of Illinois Press. Poller is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin and Johns Hopkins University.

Arizona law enforcement fights back.
What can I say, this is a great clip.
To the best friends and neighbors anyone could ever ask for. Happy July 4
What a pleasure it is just to have the chance to express publicly my gratitude and appreciation to live so close to the country that is simply the greatest nation for individual rights and freedoms the world has ever known. A nation which beats itself up over perceptions of racism for example, and real racism among some of its people in the past, while everywhere else racism is simply unalterable policy. Where people who fundamentally disagree with each other, will fight with all they have to defend the others right to express their views. To list even a fraction of the attributes and examples of same that make the USA the greatest nation of all time on earth would fill volumes. So I will simply say: Happy Independence day my American friends.
Below, a version of your anthem which has one of my all time historical heroes, Ronald Reagan:
And below, from Larwyn, a fascinating story by Isaac Asimov about your anthem and how important it is to your history:
By Isaac Asimov
Introductory Note. Unless you’re already well acquainted with our “national anthem,” this interesting piece by the late Isaac Asimov will be an eye-opener. It was for me. It’s especially appropriate at a time when there is much talk of tossing out this difficult-to-sing and difficult-to-comprehend old song in favour of something that better suits Ray Charles’ voice. You’ll understand the song much better after you read Mr. Asimov’s explanation.–Hardly Waite, Gazette Senior Editor.
I have a weakness–I am crazy, absolutely nuts, about our national anthem.
The words are difficult and the tune is almost impossible, but frequently when I’m taking a shower I sing it with as much power and emotion as I can. It shakes me up every time. Continue Reading →
What’s in a name? Why the mosque at Ground Zero is called the Cordoba House
The Cordoba Initiative, the group that has long campaigned for and spear-headed the building of a mega-mosque near the ruins of Ground Zero in New York City, has yet to acknowledge this place a mosque, instead referring it as a ‘cultural centre’. It boasts according to it’s web site, that the centre (to be guided by Islamic values in their truest form”) will play host to restaurants, a swimming pool, a conference area, art exhibition spaces and a ‘spiritual place’ all attempting to bridge the great divide between Muslims and non-Muslims. Living harmoniously with each other in the name of freedom will be brought about by such an effort and Cordoba House will be perfect testimony to the Islamic ideals of bridge-building, tolerance and dialogue. Muslims have a voice! they proclaim, and what better way of improving relations than to build an “inter-faith” centre at Ground Zero, the very place where “a few of the misguided who hijacked Islam” smashed planes into the Twin Towers on the morning of September 11, 2001. Of course they did not speak for true Islam…..
This is a project intent upon setting the record straight according to the CI, to address the many ‘misconceptions’ non-Muslims have of Islam. It is set to represent the ideal of working together, Imam Feisal AbdulRauf of the Cordoba Initiative says, much in the same way I suspect that his group’s Sharia Index Project will work together to deliver to American Muslims a ‘peaceful parallel to American civil law’. As such, the initiative can successfully claim:
“After two years of work, ‘the Sharia Index Project’s working team of Sunni and Shi’a legal scholars from Morocco to Indonesia achieved consensus on a final structure on philosophy, methodology, and approach to providing the general public, opinion leaders, and state officials in both the Muslim and Western worlds with an Islamic legal benchmark for measuring the “Islamicity” of a state’. More on Dearborn. Police now sharia?
The advocate for the Christian group explains the legal duty of the police excellently. HT TT
Someone please explain how these laws are being applied
Please watch this and comment. Many people are being arrested by large numbers of police for handing out Christian literature within 5 blocks of a Muslim festival in Dearborn Mich. This looks a lot like sharia by the instalment plan.
More here. Please check the details. There is another video there from the ‘other side’ as well.
Human remains are STILL being found at Ground Zero: Nine years on, 72 remains found under debris
From The Daily Mail
A renewed search of debris in and around the World Trade Centre site has recovered 72 human remains, New York City officials have said.
The chilling discovery comes nearly nine years after the horrifying attacks on September 11, 2001.
The sifting of more than 800 cubic yards of debris recovered from Ground Zero and underneath roads around the lower Manhattan site began in April and ended on Friday.
The greatest number of remains – 37 – were found from material underneath West Street, a highway on the west side of Ground Zero.
A renewed search of debris in and around the World Trade Centre site (pictured) has revealed 72 human remains
The new debris was uncovered as construction work made new parts of the site accessible.
The city began a renewed search for human remains in 2006, with more than 1,800 remains recovered so far.
Some have been matched to previously unidentified September 11 victims. Continue Reading →
Intel: Times Square bomber was eager to attack US
By Asif Shazad, Associated Press
ISLAMABAD — The Pakistani-American who pleaded guilty to trying to bomb Times Square was determined to strike the U.S. even before he received training by the Taliban, but his time spent with militants close to the Afghan border steeled his resolve further, alleged accomplices detained in Pakistan have told investigators.
Pakistani intelligence agencies are holding at least five suspects in connection with the attack.
Two of them have allegedly admitted to helping Faisal Shahzad reach Mir Ali town in North Waziristan, according to a Pakistani intelligence official involved in the case who provided details to The Associated Press on Tuesday. Pakistani intelligence does not allow operatives to be identified by name.
The official said American investigators, including those with the CIA, have been involved in interrogating the alleged accomplices, who were arrested in the days and weeks after the May 1 attempted attack in the heart of New York. Continue Reading →
US unions Islamists and communists block access to Israeli commercial ship
An Israeli cargo ship arriving in Oakland today was forced to sit idle and not offload its containers when longshoremen joined forces with a coalition of communist and Islamist groups who picketed the port in protest against the recent violent incident off the coast of Gaza.
The ship, owned by Zim Lines, was not carrying any controversial cargo, nor is Zim involved in politics in any way; it was targeted simply because the shipping company is based in Israel.
The planned protest and blockade were organized by The Free Palestine Movement (one of the same groups which organized the Gaza “flotilla” in the first place) as well as a rogues’ gallery of nearly every communist, anti-Israel and radical Islamist group in the Bay Area:

Disruptions at Israeli ambassador’s talk prompt suspension ruling for UC Irvine Muslim group
Published June 14, 2010, Associated Press
LOS ANGELES (AP) — A University of California, Irvine, disciplinary committee ruled that a Muslim student group should be suspended for at least a year because of a protest that disrupted a talk by Israel’s ambassador and led to the arrest of 11 students, according to documents released Monday.
The letter from a student affairs disciplinary committee to Muslim Student Union leaders said the group was guilty of disorderly conduct, obstructing university activities, furnishing false information and other violations of campus policy.
University spokeswoman Cathy Lawhon said the committee’s decision will be a binding recommendation to the campus’ office of student affairs if a planned appeal by the group does not succeed.
MSU attorney Reem Salahi said the committee relied on evidence relied that was “inadequate and problematic” but declined to outline the group’s challenge in detail. She said the decision, if sustained, would leave Muslim students without an organization representing their interests.
“It really does have very lasting constitutional implications,” she said. “It’s a chilling effect for Muslims on campus and their right to associate.”
Israeli Ambassador Michael Oren was repeatedly interrupted and called “murderer” and “war criminal” by pro-Palestinian students as he was giving a talk on the Middle East peace process in February.
Eleven students were cited on charges of disrupting a public event after they were requested to refrain from heckling but did not.
Orange County district attorney spokeswoman Susan Schroeder said criminal charges have yet to be filed and it was unknown if or when they would be.
The MSU condemned the ambassador’s appearance but insisted it did not organize the protests.
The disciplinary committee, however, said a review of online message group conversations and minutes from an MSU meeting revealed that the group did engineer the protests and instructed participants to lie about its involvement.
The group’s preparations allegedly included scripting statements for protesters to make during the event and instructing participants to cheer at disruptions.
“Be VERY LOUD, firm and strong … but remain composed and under control. Do not let your emotions get the best of you. Remember that this is a planned/calculated response and not a venting session,” the committee quoted organizers as telling participants in meeting minutes.
The committee also ruled that the group should be put on disciplinary probation for a year following its suspension, which ends in August 2011, and that members collectively complete 50 hours of community service.
The letter, dated May 27, was released following a Freedom of Information Act request by the Jewish Federation Orange County.
2nd attempt on US military base
*** UPDATE ***
June 16, 2010 STRATFOR
Anthony Todd Saxon, a civilian arrested while impersonating a master sergeant at Fort Gordon, was in possession of several grenades, night vision devices, a laser targeting device and a land mine, AP reported June 16. A military spokesman said authorities did not consider the case to be a terrorist threat and federal prosecutors filed a criminal complaint stating the Saxon was trying to steal Army-issued laser sights for military rifle
This is the second attempt on a US military base where the person was arrested and identified and they have not released the names. This is infuriating. What kind of a country has the US become where the truth may not be told unless it fits the leftist narrative? I am certain that if the attackers are Jewish, Christian or ‘Right Wing’ we would all know their names by now. But since both cases have not named the attempted attacker, we have to assume they are Muslim.
Once again, Please view the agenda and views of this site.

- Man detained after “possible grenades” were found in vehicle, officials say
- Bomb squads were called to Fort Gordon in Georgia to investigate vehicle
- Base spokesman: Search uncovered other “militarylike” items
(CNN) — Military police at Fort Gordon, near Augusta, Georgia, have arrested a civilian for impersonating a soldier after “possible grenades” were found in his vehicle on base, a base spokesman said early Wednesday.
The Fort Gordon and Richmond County bomb squads were called to a remote location on the base after a search of the vehicle the man had been driving uncovered “several possible grenades” and other “militarylike” items, according to Buz Yarnell, a base spokesman. The FBI is leading the investigation, he said.
Authorities believe the man may have been involved in earlier thefts of military equipment at Fort Gordon, Yarnell said.
A report of a suspicious person on the base Tuesday afternoon led military police to the suspect.
