That Congressman has every right to ask who his would-be interviewer is. And good for him for getting a little bit physical, that was nothing a twenty-year-old man would even notice. Get that mike out of my face until you tell me who you are. Big important politicians are people too, with rights and everything!
Yes he has every right to ask of course. He has zero right to touch either one of them. He committed an assault. Period. You are grotesquely misrepresenting the very notion of rights Chris. He could have asked politely, he could have ignored them and walked by. He chose instead to shove and grab. I hope he goes to court over it as anyone else would.
This guy is a very poor representative of the political class a’ real’ politician would have said , ‘I’m sorry, I’m running late please call my office for an appointment. In typical fashion he could walk without saying anything, or making a commitment, which is what the best double talking blowhards do.
With untmost affection and respect, you are completely wrong on this one, Eeyore! The Member is under no obligation to be “polite” and what’s more, he was forceful but not overtly hostile in his questioning-and most importantly, he asked the guy his name about twenty times. Ethridge is a member of the US House of Representatives, and as such is subject to various threats from basic embarrassment setups and unfair editing, to kidnapping and assassination-he is correct to be cautious. And why didn’t the kid just shout out his name and then ask his question? I found his refusal to do that suspicious, and so did the Honourable Member. And as for assault? We’ve watered down our definition of assault to the degree that the word is now meaningless. Nobody got hurt here. There was no assault!
Please remove the exclamation mark after “Eeyore”. It’s a bit much.

OK, OK, you guys are right, that poxy Democrat rascal should be turning eighty-one in prison, doin’ life without parole, despite the fact that his Mamma tried, Mamma tried… Now all that’s left is for that poor young man to watch as his precious life is slowly eaten away by the ravages of post traumatic stress disorder. Chris, I just said he should be on trial like anyone else. Of course, if he was a republican he would have to resign just for tapping his feet in a mens room.
The point is not that he grapped his wrist, or was cautious. The point is that this man looks like a drunken fool and if this is the kind of people the democrats employ, then it is clearly a noteworthy event.
