Poland holds another spectacular independence day march

This is what patriotism looks like. A great deal of this is a reaction to years of socialist/communist rule.

Thank you Ava Lon for the translation.

Usually these marches also contain a decent amount of anti-Islam material. This year either it didn’t, unlikely, or the TV station filming these clips we amalgamated, elected to edit those banners out.

These marches take place on 11/11 of each year.

Muslim Cultural Centre in Warsaw offers the Arabic language classes and to learning about the Koran. You can also pray in the huge, new mosque. It is not all! Arab sheikhs announce the construction of Islamic neighborhoods

An original translation by Ava Lon with much thanks

From this Polish language news site:

A Muslim neighborhood in Poland?! It’s a fact already! Media is silent while authorities dont’t ask the public for an opinion!

The center will eventually consist of a number of prayer halls and lecture and teaching rooms. They will hold exhibitions and sporting events. There will be a computer room with internet, Muslim library, and even a kindergarten and a store. There will also be parking.

The whole thing is being financed with money from the sponsors from the Persian Gulf. Who exactly are these people? No answer. In the Fall they’re coming to Warsaw.

The new Arab neighborhood is to be built next to the National Stadium. All buildings will be designed exclusively for Muslims.

There is one essential question: whether anyone asked the Poles about their opinion on the matter?

Concerning the construction of the mosque, Polish people also found out after the fact.

Polish journalist pushes back against fascist EU diktacrats in Germany. Again.

In late January, a Polish journalist took on the usual cabal of journalists and Eurphiles and showed them up for what they are. We translated, titled and posted that video a couple of weeks ago here at Vlad and elsewhere:

Here is the same Polish Journalist exposing the German government/EU totalitarian mindset. ‘We pay you, so you better self destruct like a good little Euro-country’.

Thank you Egri Nok for all the work that went into these clips.

German TV interviews Polish official on that nation’s views on Merkel’s plans for migrants.

Egri Nok, who did the translation, has more information that puts this into a better context and will be added as I get it. For the moment, this video was made in January before the Boemann poem about Erdogan went on air. When it was done, Merkel had no ‘Plan B’. It was that all these migrants would be allowed in and distributed across the EU.

A couple of months later, the deal with Turkey was made, which was in fact Merkel’s plan B.

German treatment of Turkey and Poland. A study in contrasts

There has been quite a lot of attention and activity over Merkel’s supplication to Erdogan over some highly typical media criticism, and well deserved at that, of Turkish policies concerning both internal matters and matters that affect the safety, rights and freedoms of Europeans.

Most of the attention is over a fairly annoying and left leaning TV comic named Böhmermann, who wrote a poem mocking Erdogan’s sexuality, and suggesting he would prefer to share a straw bed with a sheep than a mattress with one of his lady friends.

His poem, which was scrubbed from the internet as much as possible, but managed to find its way on to The Rebel’s servers, was even read out loud the other day by a member of the German Parliament.

The Merkel-party MP did not read it as a show of solidarity with European freedom of speech, especially freedom to mock political authority, the sole purpose of that right along with mocking religious authority, but to show why Erdogan is right to be offended and why this comic should be jailed.

Now lets look at this same TV show that Böhmermann works for, doing a treatment of neighboring Poland:

An excerpt from some media on fashionable views of the Polish leadership.

A parade float in the city of Düsseldorf showing the leader of Poland’s ruling party as a dictator has caused shock in Warsaw. The depiction shows “contempt for Poland,” said the country’s foreign minister.

Germany’s famous Carnival Monday parades may be over on Tuesday, but the controversy many of them were courting was not. While several float makers remained under local police investigation for inciting racial hatred, one parade float from the city of Düsseldorf was causing an international outcry.

The creation in question depicts the leader of Poland’s ruling right-wing Law and Justice Party (PiS), Jaroslaw Kaczynski, as a dictator in military uniform with out booted foot on the head of a woman symbolizing his prostrate nation.

Some rather harsh depictions and illustrations of Poland. A nation that, well I think its safe to say, has some negative history with Germany in the not too distant past.

If one has even a quick look over these cases, there is at least the possibility that what we are seeing can be defined in one word.

Dhimmitude.

Thanks for the help Egri Nok.

Polish PM says no more migrants

I am hoping to subtitle a video of her statement of policy, a decisive, logical and effective step towards solving this problem for Poland anyway, but meanwhile, thanks to Green Infidel, we have a translation of the actual statement:

After the attacks in Brussels, the Polish government is sharpening its stance concerning the acceptance of immigrants from the Middle East – “I do not see a possibility, for immigrants to come to Poland at this moment” – underlined Prime Minister Beata Szydlo, in a conversation with Superstacja TV.

 – “The previous government declared, that it will take part in the acceptance of immigrants. It agreed for several thousand people to be taken in by Poland, on its own free will” – prime minister Beata Szydlo said in a conversation with Grzegorz Jankowski.

– “28 EU member states agreed to tackle this problem using resettlement. However, I will state very clearly: I do not see a possibility, for migrants to come to Poland” – underlined the Prime Minister

Up to 200,000 people march in Poland against Islamic manifest destiny

This is a summary of an article from Polish media with additional information from reliable sources that were present at the march.

The link is here

The article estimates 50,000 people, but one photographer known to the translator estimated the actual turn out at closer to 200,000 people.

In the video at the source link, from the 100,000-strong Independence March** on 11 November, the chant is “Two brothers – a Pole and a Hungarian”.

(this phrase alludes to a saying (in Polish): “Polak, Wegier – dwa bratanki. Do szabli i do szklanki”. In English: “A Pole and a Hungarian – two brothers. To the sword and to the glass.” )

(The two countries have historically a lot of links. The translator has many experiences of traveling and meeting Hungarians who form an instant bond over beer and, the understanding is brothers in arms if needed)

Today friendship, an alliance in the future

Thank you Green Infidel for the translation and advice on this one.

While this content doesn’t specifically show Islam as the issue, this apparently was the point of the march. Against the migration etc. Waiting for more on this.

BREAKING: Police stop speeding car with French plates and thousands of rounds

EU to Poland: artists should be free to ‘shock’

Yet another in the growing list of reasons to scrap the European Union. On the one hand, they are (in my opinion correctly) admonishing Poland for arresting people for blasphemy of the Catholic Church, while on the other, they produce litany after litany of documents on ‘Islamophobia’ and protection for Islam. It is pretty easy to see which way this is going. Either say nothing or apply your standards equally.

It wasn’t long ago that the EU actually buried a documentary they themselves made on abuse of women in Afghanistan because it offended Muslims. Yet they insist Poland adhere to a radically different standard when it comes to their traditional culture and religion.

From EU Observer:

EU to Poland: artists should be free to ‘shock’

  1. By Andrew Rettman

BRUSSELS – The European Commission has said that Poland’s prosecution of a rock group for “blasphemy” is against European values.

  • Behemoth at work: what is art anyway? (Photo: Metal Chris)

It said on Wednesday (31 October) in a written statement for EUobserver that “national blasphemy laws are a matter for the domestic legal order of the member states.”

But it added that EU countries must respect international pacts.

It cited the European Convention of Human Rights, a Poland-signatory treaty attached to the Strasbourg-based rights watchdog, the Council of Europe, on freedom of expression.

OSCE Warsaw: Kamal Fahmi on Freedom of Speech

From Gates of Vienna:

This is the twelfth in a series of posts on this week’s OSCE “Human Dimension Implementation” meeting in Warsaw. More will be coming later this week. See the list of links at the bottom of this post for previous articles.

Kamal Fahmi is a Christian activist from Sudan who is representing an NGO called “Set My People Free” at this week’s meeting. Below is a video of his presentation to the plenary at yesterday’s session in Warsaw.

Many thanks to Europe News for recording this video

Below is the transcribed text of Mr. Fahmi’s words:

A meeting in Poland, an attempt to force anti-blasphemy laws in Europe, and some resistance.

There was a signifiant meeting of a pan European organization discussing the main topic for global forums these days and that is the destruction of Western values and freedoms as the thin edge of the wedge, or dare I say, the camels nose inside the tent, of Islamic supremacism within Europe today and yesterday.

I have spent much of the day editing the videos of various 2 minute segments as they come at me from Warsaw.

Please click over to Gates of Vienna for a cogent description of exactly who these people are and what the significance of this gathering is. Below, a sample of the demands being made.
