Israel: Iran’s Qom Nuke Facility Not For Civilian Use – Yadlin
November 3, 2009
Israeli military intelligence chief Maj.-Gen. Amos Yadlin said Iran’s nuclear facility near Qom has “no possible civilian use,” The Jerusalem Post reported Nov. 3. Yadlin said Iran is “competent in enrichment technology,” and he added that Israel wants to prevent any of Iran’s 3,000 centrifuges from being installed at the uranium enrichment facility near Qom. He also said Iran wants to be able to advance to nuclear weapons capability in the shortest possible period of time, once it decides to do so.

Report on Gaza war set to ignite fierce debate

UNITED NATIONS — Up to 40 Arab, Muslim and other countries critical of Israel plan to turn a routine United Nations meeting on the Middle East on Wednesday into a war crimes debate focused on Israel’s assault on Gaza last winter.
The gathering at the UN Security Council in New York will serve as a curtain raiser to a parallel debate on Thursday and Friday in the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva, where 18 of the 47 member states have successfully pushed for that body’s sixth “special session” on Israel in just three years.
Both meetings will see countries address results of a probe led by Judge Richard Goldstone of South Africa that says Israeli forces and Hamas gunmen in Gaza committed possible war crimes in the 22-day war that ended Jan. 18.
But Arab, Muslim and other countries that are heavily supportive of the Palestinian cause have made clear they are most keen on seeing implementation of recommendations in the report that could lead to war crimes prosecutions against members of the Israeli armed forces and political community. UNHRC: Reopen the Goldstone Report Because it Isn’t Critical Enough of Israel
This is why the Arabs do what they do. Hamas launches rockets, mortars and missiles discriminately into Israeli civilian centers, while the UNSC or the UNHRC fails to issue any resolutions specifically condemning the unprovoked attacks, let alone condeming them as acts or war and aggression and war crimes.
Every Kassem missile launched towards Israel is a war crime, because the weapon has no other use than to sow fear into the general population, due to its capacity to kill any person standing in the wrong place at the wrong time. Designing, funding, manufacturing and the launching of them consititute a war crime, but as of yet, no one at the UN seems bothered to press the point.
That is why the Arabs insist on using them, they know that the UN will not hold them accountable, thus making the UN an accomplice to the crime. The Arabs fire off their missiles knowing full well that they will at some point, cause an Israeli reaction, and then when that happens, they’ll try to maximize the carnage on their side in order to drag Isael before the world and point an accusing finger. “Look what the Jews have done”.
“The poor Palestinians” boo hoo hooo. It’s a scheme played over and over with a more than willing international community ready to stand “in moral judgement of the Jews”. It’s another reaon why the UN should be dismantled and a league of democratic states rise from its ashes, effectively rejecting every Arab Muslim regime in the world, while blocking any future Non-alligned movement from ever taking control of its branches. SCREW THE UN
The UN Human Rights Council will reopen the debate about alleged war crimes in Gaza later this week after Palestinians succeeded in gathering enough support to call a special meeting, officials said Tuesday.
The debate will start Thursday, a day after the UN Security Council in New York discusses the Goldstone report, which accuses Israel and Hamas of war crimes and possible crimes against humanity during their December 27-January 18 war.
Israel has rejected the report, claiming the investigators led by former South African judge Richard Goldstone were biased against the Jewish state and misled by Palestinian propaganda.
UN officials say 18 of the council’s 47 members signed a motion calling for the debate. The backers are: Bahrain, Bangladesh, Bolivia, China, Cuba, Djibouti, Egypt, Gabon, Indonesia, Jordan, Mauritius, Nicaragua, Nigeria, Pakistan, Philippines, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Senegal.
The fabricated history of the “ancient” palestinian
Original Article
In 1948, five Arab armies attacked the newborn legitimate and sovereign State of Israel. Transjordan annexed the area intended for an Arab state, and renamed itself the Kingdom of Jordan, calling the annexed area the “West Bank”. At the same time, Egypt took over Gaza.
No Arab suggested making the West Bank and/or Gaza into an Arab state until 1967, when Israel was again attacked by the Arabs and in defense, took those areas.
From 1948-67 when all of the “West Bank” (including Jerusalem) ended up under Arab [Jordanian] control, no effort was ever made to create a palestinian state for the Arabs living there, nor were their attempts by the “poor palestinian people” to wrangle their “homeland” back from Jordan.
It is curious how Arafat and his PLO (formed in 1964, three years BEFORE Israel was attacked by Arabs and therefore makes Israel incapable of “occupying” any “palestinian” land) discovered their fabricated “ancient” identity and a need for “self-determination” and “human dignity” on this very same “West Bank” only AFTER Israel regained this territory (three years later in 1967) following Jordan’s attempt to destroy Israel.
Why was no request ever made upon King Hussein of Jordan who “occupied” the West Bank for all those years?
Is it logical that the PLO was formed in 1964 to regain the lands they would lose three years later in 1967?
This sort of logic makes sense only to those who who have not learned that the PLO was formed to DESTROY Israel.
The destruction of Israel was Arafat’s goal. He failed. Arafat, the Egyptian, failed to destroy Israel and now his diseased body is rotting in a cement tomb, along with his mildewing soul.
Arafat was born in Cairo, folks.
His father, Abd al Ra’uf Arafat Al-Qadwa, was the son of a well-known family from Gaza and nearby Khan-Yunis, who had married Zahava Abu-Sa’ud from Jerusalem. In 1927, the couple had emigrated from Jewish Palestine and settled in Egypt. Two years later their son Yasser was born. When Yasser was three, his mother died and his father sent him to spend some time with his mother’s family in Jerusalem. During the 1930s, Yasser lived alternately in Jerusalem and in Gaza, and after his father remarried, his family sent him back to Cairo, where he spent the rest of his youth.
Many arabs who volunteered to serve the pLO immediately after the Six-Day War noted that their barbaric leader, Arafat, spoke Arabic with an Egyptian accent.
Arabs from Middle Eastern countries can easily recognize the country of origin of any other arab they meet by his accent – and here the man who claimed to be a warrior representing and leading the “palestinian people” spoke with an Egyptian accent.
That’s right, folks. Everything you’ve read about the palestinians is fabricated, embellished, tricked up, falsified and exaggerated.
There is no “palestinian land.” It is only the constant repetition that makes people believe that the “West Bank” belongs to the “Palestinians.” Judea/Samaria (the “West Bank”) is part of the Jewish homeland. Any land that Israel might eventually yield to the Arabs to establish some kind of autonomy would be an act of generosity and accommodation unprecedented in world history.
Because unlike the political Arabian Nation, the Zionist movement to Palestine/the Land of Israel represents a return, not an invasion.
But let’s face it, folks, it’s all academic: Israel is not going anywhere, so get used to it: Israel is here to stay.

‘Guardian’ omits Israeli nobel winners
So much for the Guardian being able to claim they are an impartial news agency.
LONDON – The Guardian was forced to amend an article on past Nobel Peace Prize winners on its Web site on Friday after it omitted the names of Israel’s prize winners.
Following the announcement of US President Barack Obama’s winning the 2009 prize, an article written by the newspaper’s news editor Simon Rogers listed the names of all Nobel Peace prize winners since the awards inception in 1909. However, all of Israel’s prize winners – Menachem Begin, Yizhak Rabin and Shimon Peres – were omitted.
In the 1978 entry, Menachem Begin’s name was missing, with only Egyptian president Anwar Sadat listed. The same error occurred in the 1994 entry with Yasser Arafat the only entry and Yitzhak Rabin and Shimon Peres missing.
The omission led to a number of frenzied entries in the article’s comment section.
In a statement on Friday, the newspaper blamed the mistake on a “technical issue,” saying the names was accidently omitted.
“For the Nobel Peace Prize winners list, we used data from nobelprize.org. However, there was a technical issue during the data transfer from the site, which meant that many of the names of the joint winners of the Nobel Peace Prize were accidentally omitted, although the country of origin of the winners was not. This has now been corrected,” a Guardian spokesperson said.
The article’s author, Simon Rogers, also posted an entry online: “It’s my fault, I’m afraid. I decided where there was more than one winner to put the joint one in the second column. Unfortunately, this caused a few problems, which we’ve now rectified. Please let me know if you spot any other missing names.”

Puppets preach hate on Hamas TV
Michael Higgins, National Post Published: Thursday, October 01, 2009
Palestinian Media Watch A screengrab shows a bear on a Hamas TV show, the bear calls for the slaughter of jews.
A Palestinian children’s program is using a bear puppet that talks about “slaughtering” Jews, according to the Israeli watchdog group Palestinian Media Watch.
The character on Hamas TV is the latest in a series of puppets and cartoons used by the weekly show Tomorrow’s Pioneers to promote anti-Semitism and incite violence, said media watch director Itamar Marcus.
The show, which started in 2007, became popular in the Arab world when it began to feature a Mickey Mouse-type character, he said.
“This Mickey Mouse character was teaching killing and murder and slaughter and destruction of Jews. In fact, he was also teaching conquest of the West as well,” Mr. Marcus said.
When media watch, a pro-Israeli organization that monitors Palestinian media, highlighted the story the subsequent international attention led to the character being killed off.
“They had the Mickey Mouse character killed on TV. They had an Israeli kill him and he became a Shahid [martyr],” Mr. Marcus said.
He said since then there have been three more characters, Nahul the Bee (who also became a martyr) and a bunny character called Assud, who in the show was killed during the Gaza war.
“Every time Israel was responsible,” he said.
The latest character is a giant bear, Nassur.
Mr. Marcus said during the show, which also features a real presenter called Saraa, the bear uses two different words for “slaughter” to describe how to rid Israel of Jews.
During the show a child also phones in and talks about wanting to kill Jews for the death of his father.
The program was shown on Al-Aqsa TV, more commonly called Hamas TV, last week.
“All the adult messages of ‘It’s good to die for Allah; it’s good to fight the West; we are going to conquer the West; it’s important to kill the Jews,’ all these adult messages that often come through religious leaders and political leaders, the kids are getting through these cartoon and gigantic puppet characters,” Mr. Marcus said.
In recent years, Hamas has been using mass media to spread its message. In addition to a satellite TV channel, it owns a radio station and newspapers. A German-trained director also released a feature film produced by Hamas earlier this year; reports said he hoped to enter it in the Cannes Film Festival.
Tomorrow’s Pioneers has been widely criticized by media watchdog groups.
The TV station did not return calls for comment.
When the show launched, the station’s deputy manager told CNN that it was about Palestinian children.”They express their feeling regarding what they witness – if it’s occupation it’s about that, and about the prisoners and how to lead the world,” the deputy manager was quoted as saying.
Media watch was set up in 1996 to “gain an understanding of Palestinian society through the monitoring of the Palestinian Arabic language media and schoolbooks,” its website says.

PM Netanyahu’s Remarks at the Start of the Cabinet Meeting
01/10/2009
Following are Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s remarks at the start of the Cabinet meeting today:
“In the next 24 hours, a vote will take place in Geneva in the framework of the council known as the United Nations Human Rights Council. I remind you that in recent years, this council has made more decisions against Israel than against all other 180 counties in the world.
Today, if it should decide to forward what is known as the Goldstone report, it will strike a severe blow to three things:
First of all, it will strike a severe blow to the war against terrorism since it will afford total legitimization to terrorists who fire upon civilians and who hide behind civilians. To those who – from international platforms, and using international law – attack and condemn the victim who legitimately defends himself, this is a mortal blow to the war on terrorism.
Secondly, it will strike a mortal blow to the stature of the United Nations. It will return it to its darkest days, in which it could make the most absurd decisions, which would empty it of all substance and significance.
Thirdly, and perhaps the most immediate and obvious of all, forwarding the decision of what is known as the Goldstone report, would strike a fatal blow to the peace process. Because Israel will no longer be able to take additional steps and take risks for peace if its right to self-defense is denied.
Now, the decision on whether to forward this report which will impair both the struggle against terrorism and stature of the United Nations, and strike a mortal blow to the peace process, is a decision of those same 50 countries which are now convening in Geneva. I hope that a majority will show equanimity. We have no confidence in this; usually there is an automatic majority against us. But if there is such a majority, this severe blow will be avoided, and if there is no such majority, the responsibility will be on those countries that lacked balance.”

UN Watch: Israeli doctor wonders why UN ignores her testimony.
Once again, the UN shows that it is the sock puppet of the OIC, and renders all verdicts against Israel well before any actual investigation gets done. Below the video I will put the text of the testimony and any links I can.
Geneva, September 29, 2009 — The U.N. Human Rights Council plenary witnessed a dramatic face-off today when the head of its controversial “fact-finding” mission on Gaza — in which Israel was declared guilty from the start — was unexpectedly confronted by one of his own witnesses.
In a surprise appearance arranged by the Geneva human rights organization UN Watch, Dr. Mirela Siderer — an Israeli doctor who was brutally disfigured in 2008 by a rocket attack fired from Gaza into her Ashkelon medical clinic — pointedly accused Goldstone of ignoring her July oral testimony in his report, and of failing to disclose material information concerning the prior statements of the Human Rights Council and panel members declaring Israel guilty in advance. Click for video. The speech was published in full today by Canada’s National Post, and covered widely in Switzerland, Israel and worldwide.
Sitting on the dais, Goldstone was visibly shaken by Dr. Siderer’s challenge and scrambled for a copy of her speech. His response to the plenary ignored 7 of her questions, and inadequately responded to the 8th. See full text and video below. For UN Watch’s play-by-play Twitter of today’s heated debate, click here.
UN Watch Plenary Address
U.N. Human Rights Council Debate on Goldstone Report
Agenda Item 7: “Human rights situation in Palestine
and other occupied Arab territories”
Delivered by Dr. Mirela Siderer, Geneva, September 29, 2009
My name is Dr. Mirela Siderer. I am a gynecologist living in Ashkelon, Israel.
Judge Goldstone, in July you invited me to testify. I told you my story. I am known by my patients — including many women from Gaza. For me, every human being is equal.
On May 14, 2008, my life was changed forever. I was working in my clinic. Suddenly, the building was hit by a missile, fired from Gaza. I was terribly wounded. Blood was everywhere. My patient was also wounded, and more than 100 others. Next month will be my eighth operation.
Judge Goldstone, I told you all of this, in detail. I testified in good faith. You sent me this letter, saying, “Your testimony is an essential part of the Mission’s fact-finding activities.”
But now I see your report. I have to tell you: I am shocked.
Judge Goldstone, in a 500-page report, why did you completely ignore my story? My name appears only in passing, in brackets, in a technical context.
I feel humiliated.
Why are there only two pages about Israeli victims like me, who suffered thousands of rockets over eight years?
Why did you choose to focus on the period of my country’s response, but not on that of the attacks that caused it?
Why did you not tell me that this council judged Israel guilty in advance, in its meeting of last January?
Why did you not tell me that members of your panel signed public letters judging Israel guilty in advance?
Judge Goldstone, you, too, signed such a letter, saying you were “shocked” about Gaza.
But where were you when Gaza attacked my medical clinic, in violation of international human rights and humanitarian law?
Where was this council?
Why were you all silent?

Palestinians warn Israel after Jerusalem clash

JERUSALEM – Palestinian leaders warned Israel on Sunday not to stoke tension in Jerusalem in the hope of thwarting peace talks, after clashes at a sacred site in which Palestinians and Israeli police were injured.
“At a time when [U.S.] President [Barack] Obama is trying to bridge the divide between Palestinians and Israelis, and to get negotiations back on track, Israel is deliberately escalating tensions in Jerusalem,” chief peace negotiator Saeb Erakat said.
“We’ve seen this before, and we know what the consequences are,” the Palestinian minister added, in a statement that recalled the visit of then Israeli opposition leader Ariel Sharon to the site in Jerusalem’s Old City in 2000.
Sharon’s presence at al-Aqsa mosque, the third holiest site in Islam, triggered the second Palestinian uprising and dealt the biggest setback to peace efforts in years.
The reasons behind Sunday’s clash were disputed.
According to legislator Hathem Abdel Kader and other Palestinian sources, the clash erupted in the early morning when Palestinians inside the complex — sacred to both Islam and Judaism — saw a group of 15 religious Jews trying to enter. Continue Reading →
