Sweden goes to polls in a week, and the Sweden Democrats — opponents of mass immigration who publicly decry the Islamization of Sweden — are expected to enter parliament for the first time. The Swedish political elites are obviously terrified by the prospect of SD, and have ramped up the demonization and repression as the election approaches.
Needless to say, the official organs of the state are never involved in any of the suppression, intimidation, and violence. The establishment keeps its hands fastidiously clean, and sub-contracts the thuggery to non-state actors such as Anti-Fascist Action.
Reinhard of ICLA has a report about the sickening extremity of pre-election oppression in Sweden, and most egregiously what occurred late yesterday in Malmö.

It is hardly an exaggeration to say that Sweden, while promoting its self-image of being the most tolerant and liberal country in the world, at the same time ruthlessly suppresses dissent, either by loud and persistent condemnations of everything that is considered to be even remotely racist, or by ignoring or downplaying physical attacks on people who are accused of being racists.
These condemnations and attacks are never more apparent than during election year, and never more so than this year, when Sverigedemokraterna (the Sweden Democrats) are poised to enter Swedish parliament for the first time. The Sweden Democrats are unique in that they are openly critical of immigration, multiculturalism and Islam, and have consistently garnered enough support in recent polls to indicate that they will indeed enter parliament in the elections next Sunday.
Their opponents are therefore out in force, and doing what they can do sabotage the Sweden Democrats’ chances of entering parliament — by any means possible.
These attacks can be divided into five different categories: attempts at election sabotage by tampering with their ballots; disruptions of meetings (which coincidentally is a crime against the principle of freedom of assembly, which is guaranteed by the Swedish constitution); threats directed at party officials; attacks on houses and property; and even attempted murder.
While these attacks are perpetrated by activists of the extreme Left, they are rarely, if ever, condemned by the same pundits and self-proclaimed guardians of Swedish morality who fill the pages of practically every newspaper in Sweden with reasons why all decent Swedes should vote for immigration-friendly parties, instead of the Sweden Democrats with their, as one pundit put it, “illegal opinions”.*
The following are examples of these attacks, and demonstrate that while Sweden may be the most tolerant society imaginable when it comes to immigrants, it is an absolute dictatorship when it comes to political dissidents.
1. Election sabotage
SD set up a dedicated e-mail address which they asked voters to use if they saw evidence of tampering with ballots. After two days of advance voting, 34 complaints had already been filed.
The 34 most serious acts of sabotage include cases where election officials refused to display SD’s ballots, where SD’s ballots were completely absent from the election locale despite the fact that blank ballots with the party name marked in must be present in all locales. [Since SD have previously garnered more than 1 % of the vote in national elections, their ballots are distributed free of charge and must be present in all election locales.] Besides this there are reports of cases where all ballots have been stolen.
Besides the 34 most serious cases there are roughly a hundred reports of other parties’ ballots being placed in front of those of the Sweden Democrats, cases where the Social Democrats’ ballots have been mixed in with those of the Sweden Democrats or where SD’s ballots have been placed in a separate container beside those of the other parties, which threatens the election secrecy. [Swedish voters bring ballots with them into the polling booth. Having SD’s ballots in a separate location violates the principle of not being able to see what others vote for.]
The following video shows how election sabotage works. SD’s ballots have been placed behind those of the Social Democrats. The election official’s exclamation (at 1:24), “All the time!”, sums up the situation: this form of tampering is persistent. The video itself is self-explanatory.
2. Disruptions of meetings
There are many examples of this, but the most recent one was in Malmö, which is well-known as being both Sweden’s most multicultural city and a hotbed of leftist/pro-Palestinian extremism

3. Threats against party officials

The Sweden Democrats have a long history of being targeted for physical assaults by the extreme left. The first step is usually threatening letters and phone calls. One such threat was recently received by Isak Nygren, a candidate for local council in Katrineholm. The threatening letter was signed by the Revolutionary Front, an organisation dedicated to fighting against what they call racists, fascists, and Nazis by “militant” means.
“This is a warning. We will only give you one warning. So think carefully about your next step. Pull out!”
The Swedish secret police, SÄPO, released a report in 2008, Hot mot förtroendevalda (“Threats against elected officials”), which describes the situation for SD officials:
Elected officials for the Sweden Democrats are subjected to extensive and systematic threats from the autonomous milieu. This includes violent crimes. The threats have led to several elected officials leaving political office.
[…]
Threats against elected officials from organised criminal milieus or other groups are rare. The Sweden Democrats are the exception to this. They are continually subjected to threats and actions from Anti-Fascist Action (AFA), or from persons using AFA’s symbols.
[…]
[Most threats are due to specific issues the politicians are involved in.] The motives are different when it comes to threats against the Sweden Democrats, where the main motive seems to be to make the politician leave political office.
The results of the study indicate that the Sweden Democrats are subjected to more threats than representatives from other parties. The frequency of reporting [threats] is deemed to be low.
4. Attacks on house and property
The next step is direct attacks on the homes, cars and property of SD officials.
The night between Friday and Saturday [September 3rd] a former Sweden Democrat candidate for local council in Mariestad was attacked by the violent leftist organisation AFA (Anti-fascist action). The attack consisted of a smashed car, several fist-sized rocks thrown in through windows and threats sprayed on the side of the house.
Marrlis Lundgren from Mariestad signed up for the Sweden Democrats as a candidate, but later withdrew her candidacy for personal reasons. In spite of this, she and her family were on Friday night subjected to a very serious attack from the democracy-despising violent organisation AFA. Marrlis’ son took the brunt of the attack in that all the windows of his car were smashed and it was through his bedroom window that the stones were thrown. AFA also left behind a threat aimed at the former candidate and her family:
“Think of your family, Marrlis! /AFA”
The threat was sprayed with large letters on the facade of the house.
5. Attempted murder
The last step consists of direct attempts to murder SD officials. One such attack in March of 2010 was aimed at David von Arnold Antoni, who was subject to another attempt on his life yesterday, the 10th of September.
Malmö — A candidate for the Sweden Democrats was attacked Friday night in his apartment in Malmö. The police received an alarm at 20.42.
A man has been beaten in his apartment by two perpetrators. We’re labeling it illegal deprivation of freedom and assault, says the police commander in charge at the time, Lars Karsten. The intruders used a knife during the assault, according to the police. The man is said to be lightly injured.
The Sweden Democrats’ press secretary, Erik Almqvist, confirms that the victim is a representative of the party and that he is a candidate in the elections.
“It is unfortunately true.”
He doesn’t want to say right now which district the man is running in.
“I actually don’t want to go into more detail, first I want to talk to the person so that he’s OK with the situation.”
According to Erik Almqvist there is no doubt that the attack was politically motivated.
“Without a doubt. This will become readily apparent due to what’s happened. It’s definitely the most serious thing I know to have happened to a Sweden Democrat for political reasons.”
Bo Paulsson with the Malmö police reports that the man has been cut in his face with a knife.
“And when they left they took with them money and a computer,” he says.
Earlier that day, von Arnold’s home was plastered with AFA stickers and sprayed with graffiti stating, “David von Arnold is a people-hating racist swine”.
The same evening, he was dragged into his apartment by two assailants who spoke a language “resembling Arabic” and threatened him, in “heavily accented Swedish”, because of his participation in the meeting earlier that day in Malmö. According to the Sweden Democrats’ press release, the perpetrators admitted to taking part in disrupting that meeting.
The police have confirmed that the perpetrators put up stickers from the organisation AFA, Anti-Fascist Action, an organisation which for many years has been known for using violence against those opponents whom AFA defines as being anti-democratic and belonging to racist organisations.
Aside from stealing money and a computer, they also used a knife to carve a swastika in von Arnold’s forehead.
So there we have it: an open meeting in a public square in Malmö was disrupted by the extreme Left and Middle Eastern immigrants, the latter of whom proceeded to track down one of the speakers, drag him into his apartment and carve a swastika in his forehead.
This is what happens to political dissidents in Sweden today. This is the reality behind the rhetoric of tolerance and diversity: if you challenge the multiculturalist orthodoxy, you will be tortured in your home by immigrants and quite possibly killed.
Welcome to Sweden, the most tolerant and progressive society in the world.

On a personal note, I find it repugnant to the point of nausea to listen to leaders of the least tolerant nations lecture the US on how to force tolerance of violent ideas like Islam, to preserve tolerance. A rather typical Muslim word game. Notice the appeal at the end to use ‘sharia principles’ to stop people from doing what Muslims don’t like, while of course forcing Americans to accept what Muslims do like.

(CNN) — A man wearing explosives strapped to his body was arrested after a small explosion at a hotel in Copenhagen, Denmark Friday, police said.
The suspect suffered injuries to his arms and hands from the blast, Copenhagen Police Vice-commissioner Henrik Moeller Jakobsen said.
A second explosion happened when a police robot shot the bag of explosives after it was removed from the suspect , police said.
Guests and workers were evacuated from Hotel Joergensen while explosive experts searched through rooms and bags, Jakobsen said.
Police are checking on the suspect’s nationality since he is not believed to be Danish, police said.

‘Father’ of 55 suspected in benefits scam

PARIS – A Paris man who registered 55 children by 55 different mothers faces up to 10 years in jail and fines for suspected paternity fraud and for helping to obtain residency under false pretences, police said on Friday.
The 54 year-old of African origin, who authorities did not identify, was arrested in his two-room flat in Paris during a police raid which yielded documents showing more than 50 people were registered as living at that address.
Police suspect the man was involved in a social benefits scam which could have been costing the state over 1 million euros ($1.27 million) annually in claims by the mothers.
“At the moment 42 women have been identified and each claim that the man is the biological father of their child,” Paris police said in a statement.
Authorities said the man claimed he met the women at bars, night spots and occasionally during visits to their home countries, including Senegal, Cameroon and Mali.
For a fee of 150 to 200 euros, he registered the children and their mothers with French authorities, enabling them to obtain residency permits and claim social benefits.
Some of the mothers told authorities they had received up to about 7,500 euros on various monthly allowances.
“Investigations are on-going and an investigating magistrate will decide whether DNA tests have to be administered to determine the children’s paternity,” a police spokesman said.

80 child sex cases…in just three months

A staggering 80 cases of suspected child sexual exploitation have been reported to Preston detectives in just three months.
A specialist team, which was set up to deal with grooming and child sexual exploitation, has seen a significant rise in the number of referrals since it was formed 18 months ago.
Last week, Mohammed Moosa, 24, of Holmrook Road, Deepdale, Preston, was given a three-year jail sentence after pleading guilty to abduction and sexual activity with a 13-year-old girl.
Moosa was snared after the Deter Team, made up of a team of experts including police, social workers and charities, was put on the case of two young girls who had been reported missing from home.
The team traced Moosa and a second man, Faisal Ghani, who admitted abduction, to a hotel in Blackpool where the girls were found to have had drank large amounts of alcohol and had taken drugs.
The case preceded a further 79 referrals which were taken to the Deter Team between the start of April and the end of June.
Speaking to the Evening Post, a victim’s mother said she had no idea her daughter was being targeted until it was too late.
But DI Jonathan Holmes, head of the public protection unit at Preston police, said having a specialist team means families are now better equipped to see the warning signs.
He said: “We have recently observed an increase in the reporting of this type of crime, which we have attributed to better scanning methods and increasing work with parents.
“We now have a dedicated team to deal with this kind of sexual exploitation.
“Part of that team’s role is to work with partner agencies and to increase awareness in the community of this type of crime and we have seen an increase in reporting of this type of crime as a result.”
Many of the cases which the team has investigated have followed a pattern which sees the offender form a ‘relationship’ with the young victim by showering them with gifts to give them a sense of independence.
This leads to many of them not realising they are being exploited, believing instead they are in a meaningful relationship.
He said: “This type of crime is likely to be under-reported.
“The nature of the crime is such the victims do not appreciate they are being victimised.
“This is because they are being subject to grooming which will take the form of gifts, alcohol, mobile phones or cash.
“The offender often grooms the victim over a lengthy period of time in order to create a situation where the victim is not necessarily aware of what’s happening to them.
“The effect is they themselves may not report any offences because they feel they are in a close relationship with the offender.”
While the number of cases being referred to the team has increased, DI Holmes claimed it was too early to say whether it is a major issue.
He said: “The Deter Team is still establishing itself but in three or four years’ time we will be able to see where reporting is.

“It is a bit early to say how big a problem it is, but we are certainly getting increasing reports and are keen to take positive action against offenders whenever we get that information.”
While many victims initially may not realise they are being abused, DI Holmes said the offenders should not be regarded in a different light to any other child sex offender.
He said: “These people are sex offenders. In my view, for an adult to have sex with an adolescent is paedophilic behaviour. It is done through a grooming process.
“Typically, they might be in their early teens. Mohammed Moosa is 24 and he was having sex with a 13-year-old.”
Charity Crop (Coalition for the Removal of Pimping) is one of the groups which works with the Deter Team to support the parents of child sex victims and it has dealt with more than 500 cases in the past five years.
Cat Tatman, a parent support worker, said the Deter Team means Preston is in a better position than many parts of the country, but there is a long way to go.
She said: “We are still at the point where we are seeing the tip of the iceberg.
“If you have one focused effort, as in Lancashire, the perpetrators are often one or two steps ahead and often push their operations out of the county boundaries.
“In Derby, they (police) were getting very good at picking kids up in the city centre, so they were moving out to Derbyshire.
“It is certainly not a new problem, but it is something we are just becoming aware of the level and extent of it.”
The Deter Team also includes a detective sergeant, three detective constables, one local intelligence officer, three social workers, members of the Children’s Society and a Group Intervention Panel.
Social workers can refer parents, whose children are suspected of being groomed in the Preston area, to SEEN (Sexual Exploitation Ends Now) which provides advice on what signs to look for and support for the victims.

What do Stephen Harper, Barack Obama, Gen. David Petraeus, Canadian Defence Minister Peter MacKay and U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton have in common?
They each need to get a grip on themselves the next time they want to whack a wacky pastor. Each sacrificed valuable resources to condemn and plead with once-aspiring Koran-griller, Florida Pastor Terry Jones, a bizarre fourth-string in the evangelical band. Congregation size: 50, on an inflationary day.
Yes, by now all agree: a nutty fringe leader was compromising social cohesion, foreign relations and military security with grotesquely silly, gratuitous and hurtful plans for a Koranic cook-off.
But this portrayal missed key considerations. In the extent and scope of their criticism of Jones’ aims, senior U.S. officials, including Clinton and Gen. Petraeus, exceeded their constitutional remit in ways that could undermine future security and liberal-democratic ways. The same can be said of Harper and his defence minister.
Their warnings and beseechings raised immeasurably the stakes in this matter. Politicians risked the possibility that a government failure to apparently force Jones to stop — a constitutional impossibility, in any event — would produce more blowback than ever. Now that this pressure has forced Jones to climb down on his own, liberal-democracy’s enemies at home and abroad will be emboldened. The attitude and approach of these developers are strikingly similar to those of the Ground Zero mega-mosque’s backers: they are demanding sensitivity while showing none, building ostentatiously and acting aggressively, and then gnashing their teeth about “intolerance.”
Suppose these obnoxious structures planned for Dudley were part of a mall or a sports arena. When non-religious developers act like this, community members rightfully demand transparency, and air their concerns about the impact of the project on the character of the area. No one gets called a shopper-phobe, or anti-athletics. Indeed, calling the planned structures “obnoxious” wouldn’t ruffle any feathers.
But Islam’s sense of supremacy, entitlement, and triumphalism demands a free pass, and Islamic groups get that pass all too often through attempts to blackmail critics (and fence-sitters with questions) with accusations of racism, fascism, and “Islamophobia.” That behavior, their agenda, and funding of the building project itself must be questioned, scrutinized, and exposed. It’s the least that would be done for any massive, disruptive development project.

On book burning and sanctimony
All the bloggers and pundits who write on Islam seem to be weighing in with an opinion on whether or not this US pastor should have his little Koran burning day. For the most part, everyone seems to be against it with a plethora of false equivalence and moral high handedness to justify their opposition. However, I don’t give a damn. I think you should be able to burn any book you want. In fact, if I had my way, everyone would both read Qu’oran and then burn it. I don’t think people would understand why it should be burned till they have read it.
Besides, to paraphrase Alan West:
“When tolerance is a one way street, its actually suicide.”
I say burn the Koran. That seems to get their attention. It isn’t as if not burning it will stop the hundreds of thousands if not millions of Muslims who chant “death to America” every morning before breakfast or ethnically cleanse non-Muslims out of various cities towns and villages across the Islamic world.
Lets compare and contrast a bit shall we? A nobody preacher in Florida who is going to burn a few books compared to this:

These are just three of literally hundreds of Koranic instructions to kill unbelievers and painfully I might add. So if burning a few of them gets the book some of the attention it so richly deserves and for that matter, that we in the west so urgently need to understand, (To quote that BNP manatee, “Islam is not just Christianity with a towel on its head”) then burn them. And those who have been dumping on this nobody pastor in Florida to give themselves a fresh coat of sanctimony, well they should be ashamed of themselves. It is just a book and burning it is a symbolic act and a much needed one. It is not the same as calling for it to be banned, something which really is un-American and does run against the core values of Western liberal democracy.

India says no to Islamic banking
The Union Government today informed the Kerala High Court that it was not legally feasible for banks in India or its branches abroad to undertake Islamic banking activities.
In a counter affidavit, M M Dawla, Under Secretary in the ministry of Finance informed the court that this had been the stand of the Union Government even while giving replies to questions in Parliament as well as in response to various VIP correspondence on the subject.
The counter was filed on a petition by R V Babu of Hindu Aikya Vedi against an Islamic banks proposal .
Earlier, Janata Party leader, Subramaniam Swamy, had also filed a PIL against the establishment of the financial institution to be run on the model of Islamic banks with the support of Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation (KSIDC).
The stand of the government is that Non Banking Financial Companies (NBFC) should should basically commence or carry on the activities in accordance with provisions of RBI and directions issued there under.
Government said that even though the relief sought for by the petitioner is not directly connected with the Union of India, the affidavit is filed for the purpose of clarifying the stand of the central government on the issues involved.
The High court had in April this year directed the state government and its institutions not to participate financially or otherwise in the financial company modelled on the lines of Islamic bank.

Taking action: Liz and Henry Webster launched a High Court challenge claiming his school failed to deal with racial tension that led to the attack
Every playground tiff should be investigated for elements of racism, a report has recommended.
The warning follows a hammer attack by an Asian gang on a 15-year-old white boy on his school’s tennis courts which left the victim with brain damage.
Henry Webster’s skull was fractured when he was punched, kicked and hit with a claw hammer by a group calling themselves the Asian Invaders. They left him for dead.
A serious case review of events surrounding the attack found that his school had failed to tackle escalating racial tensions between Asian and white teenagers – even after a riot on the playing fields.
It warned that schools should record the ethnicity of bullies and victims and act if a pattern of racism arises, including liaising more closely with police.
According to the review, Ridgeway School in Wroughton, Wiltshire, did not prepare for the arrival of a ‘significant number’ of British Asian students in September 2005 – less than two months after the 7/7 Tube and bus bombings in London. Continue Reading →
