Freedom of speech demo at Parliament Hill in Ottawa today!

Lots and lots more to come on this. Fortunately, all opposition to the message was made fully within the very thing being demanded by the demo. by people using their right of free speech. Here is a couple of photos from the event but much more detailed video, photos and descriptions to come.

This seems like it might be the right time to remind people, that the first and foremost reason for a legal right to freedom of speech, is to mock, ridicule, and in any and every way, challenge the power of political and religious authority.

If we lose that right for any reason, the rest will fall like dominos in a windstorm.

The call to prayer in Germany, a little pushback, and why we should not allow mosques at all

From the Fortress Europe Facebook page on this event.

Minister of Internal Affairs of Federal Republic of Germany Thomas De Maizière doesn’t see any problem with Muezzin in Germany. 60 decibels, 3 minutes, all conform to the immission law. We played the music in front of his regional office in Saxony – still no problem, Mr. De Maizière?

The signs read: “WE DEMAND that the 60 Db. 3 minute call to prayer STOP

But why do this?

Gladbeck. “Allahu Akbar” resounds daily from the minaret of a mosque in Gladbeck. The council welcomes this, but residents feel bypassed.

For 19 long years it was quiet around the DITIB mosque in the Gladbeck district Butendorf. Until then, there was what is now often called the gentlemen’s agreement between the city and the Muslim community: mosque yes, muezzin no!

But now loudspeakers from the minaret call to prayer once a day, at noon: “Allahu Akbar” – “Allah is the greatest thing.” Around, in Butendorf, there are some who find it anything but great

Butendorf, situated in southern Gladbeck has indeed seen better days. The times of the mining industry, as it were still Graf Moltke colliery. But the district has long left the bad times behind it, where it was considered a stigma to live on many of its streets.

It has been invested, newly built. And so, a few months ago, the city administration a few months ago was well aware that it was a controversial desire with which the Butendorfer mosque community approached them. “We have made ourselves knowledgeable and found that the community just exercises their fundamental right” explains social department Rainer Weichelt.

They spoke to each other, negotiated, and finally convinced the community, not to do the call to prayer five times seven days a week, but only once per day on five days. To back up the Muslims, the City Council expressedly welcomed at its last meeting before Easter the muezzin call. Only the CDU grumbled that the call to Friday prayers should have been enough.

The reactions followed promptly: Apart from “hundred ugly emails from the right-wing scene”, says Weichelt, the muezzin call has become city topic. “We are irritated, feel bypassed,” says Werner Bugzel, spokesman for the Evangelical Church Circle Gladbeck-Bottrop-Dorsten.

They would have liked a conversation with the Muslim community and the municipality. “Instead, we learned it from the press,” says Bugzel.

The Catholic neighboring community is “disappointed” too by the proceeding. In order not to let fuel the fire, Christa Schniering, the Commissioner for Christian-Islamic dialogue of St. Lamberti Community, strives to find forthcoming words.

“We will now wait and see how it sounds in the long run if it remains at the prescribed fifty-five decibels,” says Schniering. The emotions need to “calm down”

There are a lot of Mosques in Germany, but not many Muezzin calls.
We know of exactly nineteen mosques that do call to prayer. But we estimate in fact it is 30 to 35″, says Bekir Alboga, the manager of the Turkish-Islamic Union for Religious e.V. (DITIB) in Cologne.

In most mosques it was common practice to explicitly renounce the prayer call when applying for the building permit. Many municipalities have let themselves in on this compromise.

“There, where it is called, we haven’t heard any complaints” says the Islam Scientist Alboga.

The new Mosque in Cologne, located in the town center, refrains to do the call to prayer, as well as the great Merkez Mosque in Duisburg-Marxloh. “There is the need for it,” said their spokesman Sinan Celik, “most people work during the week and have no time to pray. I live ten kilometers away. How loud should the call should be?”

Anyway, in the Wielandstraße in Gladbeck on Friday the Muezzin call started as a surprise. Ahead of schedule, sooner than forecast.

This too causes irritation in Gladbeck, and criticism of the communication style of the community. The Gladbecker CDU has expressed their understanding of “fears of foreign infiltration”.

In the Mosque Club they are still convinced that “the polemic will stop soon”. A volume of 55 decibels is not worth mentioning. “You can not even hear much. It’s more of a symbolic act, but it means much to the parishioners. The community is very happy. We are hopeful, “says Figen Güdül-Turpçu, deputy Mosque Association chairman. However, it is sad that people would be so afraid of the reputation confesses Güdül-Turpçu.

Emotions are so charged that even small enough events can fire them. Out of all dates, on Good Friday a couple married in the mosque and celebrated with much honking, gun shots and a motorcade. Word made it that Christian neighbors felt harassed, “their feelings had been trampled.”

[Note from Translator: Actually in German she says “shut down” the emotions, like shut down a computer or a machine, which is extremely flippant, but I don’t know the equivalent English expression]

[Ed: I believe the Arabs have a saying for this. Something about the nose of a camel inside a tent. Once you allow mosques, you will get all that follows. Its only a matter of time till you have minarets and sharia law enforced. This is how it works. The people who warn about the towers and speakers on mosques are always called bigots and alarmists. But this is how it always goes.]

Thank you Egri Nok and Brunhilde as well as Tania Groth for the help on all this.

John Counsell of CFRA talk radio fame, broadcasting again!

LateNightCounsellBanner

Many readers of this site may remember John Counsell’s show on CFRA 580 AM. He, along with Nick Vandergraagt, were the only two hosts that allowed criticism of cultural Marxism as well as scrutiny of Islam and things which are in contradiction to the narrative coming out of Washington, Ottawa, Berlin and Riyadh.

I have posted many calls to his show on this site when they were interesting and on topic. Here is an example below:

That call was actually to his last show before CFRA cut pretty much all the actual conservatives who had programs at that station. What makes it interesting is that Counsell’s show allegedly had the highest ratings for that market at that time slot.

Curiouser and curiouser.

Fortunately John and his crew have decided to bring his voice back to the public via Webcast and can be heard Monday to Friday 10:00 PM to midnight,

The inaugural show was last night and there are a few minor technical bugs to work out but it was a great show, and an amazing one considering it was the first show with this new technology.

Click this link http://www.latenightcounsell.com/ and then the Listen Live button. Make sure its the Listen Live with the exclamation mark, the other one brings down a test show. But the Listen Live with the ! gives you the live show after 10:00PM.

This post will be a sticky post till around the time the show starts broadcasting.

It must suck to be you, Merkell

Thanks for the tips and translation Egri Nok:

Its also great how the German actual people handled the pernicious and fascist self-titled, ANTI-FACISTS

The pompous hubris of the people on the podium is bone chilling. I bet I know what they are imaging for the indigenous people of Germany right then

I hope she gets this treatment every-time she sticks her head out the door the genocidal psycho.

Germany’s Alternative for Deutschland (AfD) proposes ban on Islam

Tank you Agri Nok for this translation and explanation.

The AfD (anti immigration party) had their congress this weekend, and put an anti Islam manifesto into their programme. Not just against “political Islam” but against all public displays of Islam. (The “moderate” Muslims are sulking apparently)
There is a lot of violence (by “antifascists”) surrounding the congress, but what is worse is that a left extreme website hacked the AfD and published the personal adresses of 2,000 AfD supporters on the internet. This means, in Germany, that your house will be vandalised, and the police will do nothing about it.

Meanwhile, Germans appear to be getting a little impatient with the current crop of far left wing extremists in power now.

Austria: “State of Emergency” Act

An original translation by Egri Nök

From Die Welt News Site

Austria resolves tough asylum law

The Austrian parliament has tightened asylum rules drastically. On Wednesday, the parliament in Vienna adopted an amendment that allows emergency regulations. Austria may proclaim a “state of emergency” in the refugee crisis in the future. As a result, protection seekers might get little chance at all of seeking asylum.

This is the consequence of an amendment to the asylum law, which a large majority of the Austrian Parliament voted for on Wednesday.

The “state of emergency” is defined as a threat to public order and internal security. Such a decision by the government will have to be approved by Parliament. In this case, applications for asylum seekers will only be accepted from certain refugees. This includes people who have close relatives in Austria, unaccompanied minors, and women with small children. Everyone else would have to return to neighbouring countries.

An “emergency” will initially be limited to six months, but may be extended for up to two years.

With this amendment, Austria gave itself one of the toughest asylum laws in the EU. The possibility of denying the refugees’ applications for asylum at the border exists otherwise only in Hungary.

The Greens sharply criticized the amendment. “The right of asylum is completely undermined,” said Green Party leader Eva Glawischnig. The law would be eroded. Interior Minister Wolfgang Sobotka (ÖVP) justified the step. “The capacity limit is oriented towards Austrians,” said Sobotka. Many organizations, such as the UN refugee agency UNHCR, the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute of Human Rights, and the Catholic Bishops’ Conference, have spoken out against the legislative package. For the right-wing FPÖ on the other hand, the measures do not go far enough.

German citizens place ad against Merkel in Swiss newspaper because German newspapers refused to print it

An original translation by Egri Nök with much thanks.

From the Berlin Journal

Berlin Journal
Bürger schalten Anzeige gegen Merkel in der Schweiz
Michael Müller –
26. April 2016

Citizens place advertisement against Merkel in Switzerland

Page 2 of the Neue Züricher Zeitung of Monday shows a ½ page advertisement with the title “Merkel still cheating on. How long will this continue?” The authors criticise Merkel sharply. The German chancellor is portrayed as a smiling hat player

[translator’s note: This type of play is illegal in Germany].

The advertisement in the Swiss daily cost more than 16,000 Swiss Franks

[16,000 USD/20,000 CAD].

But it is not aimed at a Swiss, but at a German audience. The NZZ is widely read in Germany too. The text of the ad obviously aims at German citizens:

Merkel cheats on!
For how long?
This is how the sham looks:

With the EU-Turkey-Treaty, Chancellor Merkel tries to convince us that she has got the mass immigration into Germany under control. But the facts show: the Turkey-Treaty is a sleight of hand.

1. For every illegal Syrian refugee, who is sent back from EU into Turkey, a recognized Syrian refugee can enter the EU and therefore Germany, as most EU-countries do not accept unlimited quantities of refugees. In other words: the illegal migration is rechristened into a legal migration – the mass immigration into Germany remains constantly high.

2. For this rechristening, EU citizens have to pay 20 million Euros per month!

3. As a “Thank you” for taking them back, Turkey pulled the EU over a barrel and achieved Visa freedom for Turkish citizens at the latest end of this year.

More than 74 million Turks can come to Germany without any Visa at all. The consequences? Bavarian Minister of Finance Söder warns of a Kurdish mass immigration, and the renowned Criminologist Christian Pfeiffer calls this Treaty a “monumental stupidity”, because the freedom of travel could start “a wave of illegal mass immigration”.

4. For this “monumental stupidity” the EU tax payers have to wire 6 billion Euro to Turkey until end 2018, to a country that tramples human rights, freedom of opinion, and freedom of the press under their feet.

Therefore we ask YOU to sign our appeal against the “Merkelian Welcome Culture” at www.rechtundfreiheit.de
[end of ad]

It is the Association for the Preservation of Law and Civil Liberty behind the advertisement. Why did this German group place their advertisement in a Swiss newspaper?

The media businessman Josef Konrad answers an enquiry by Blick:

“Except for the Hannoversche Zeitung, all large newspapers in Germany refused to print this ad.” The NZZ-ad has fully been funded by donations of the supporters. But they do not plan further ads in Swiss media.

About 3,500 people have already signed the ‘No’ to the “Merkelian Welcome Culture”. Now they hope to find more signatures through the NZZ advertisement “Merkel cheats on!”.

The name of those behind the association still remain a mystery. Media businessman Josef Konrad says, his cooperation with the association was only temporary, and he has no connections to the association.

“The founders and members of the association currently do not wish to appear in public or to be named”, says Josef Konrad, who is a member of the AfD Bavaria. It is a “loose association of concerned citizens from Germany”.
