X files makes odd symbolic conflation

As a person with a stunning lack of religious understanding and background, there is a lot that is lost to me when I observe pop-culture or read a lot of classical and even much modern literature. Huge aspects of European history and art are inexorably intertwined with aspects of religious thought and iconography most of which, I miss absolutely, even when its put right in my face.

This is my loss.

But it does help to explain why I missed something rather jaw dropping in the newest episode of the X-Files. The show that never misses an opportunity to show its progressive values and its culturally Marxist agenda, even in the old series, as entertaining as it often was, and even more in the new one.

The episode was about muslim suicide bombers. So far, not very PC. The guys who did the attack at the start did all the right prayers and looked the part of the muslim terrorist although not as much as their coreligionists in the connected cell later in the show.

Many died in the attack but one of the bombers survived. Now I don’t want to spoil this episode for anyone who wishes to see it, so I won’t give away much more than that except to the extent needed to show something which was brought to my attention by someone considerably more scholarly than I am, and much better versed in Christian symbolism.

At one point, the surviving bomber’s mother comes to the hospital to visit her son. She has a head cloth on but not one I had ever seen on a muslim whatsoever. (She also spoke about his act in a decidedly un-islamic way)

mary like head cloth

Is this an islamic head-cloth?

During a sort of dream sequence, Mulder sees the suicide bomber, one who had survived a mass murder and mass destruction of property in order to destroy infidels, in this way:

ead terrrist as Jesus 2

Suicide bomber in his mother’s arms

I found this somewhat uncomfortable imagery but wasn’t sure exactly why. Disturbing though. It was clearly a loving image of a mother with a martyred son.

And then my scholarly friend pointed this out to me. This is Just one example of a powerful part of Christian iconography, The Pieta.

One of many examples of The Pieta

Yep. The X files had found a way to conflate a mass murder for the purpose of killing unbelievers and implementing the sharia on all survivors, with Jesus Christ, the Christian avatar of God and prince of peace. They tried to make people feel like those who believe in “koran 9:5

And when the sacred months have passed, then kill the polytheists wherever you find them and capture them and besiege them and sit in wait for them at every place of ambush. But if they should repent, establish prayer, and give zakah, let them [go] on their way. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.

are the same as those who believe Matthew 5:44-45

44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.

And once again, the aggressor becomes the victim. The killer of the innocent is seen in Islamic terms. as a ‘martyr’, (which frankly is the most disgusting possible application of that word) The Islamic world view is spread to an audience of millions with a revival of one of the hippest shows of the 90s. Is this the CVE in action? Or is it the kind of accidental cultural Marxism as Bill Whittle explains, is the new-normal thanks to a generation or two of university inculcation.

Thank you very much SC. and GoV. for your insights on this.

1. Hashim Hanif Ibn Abdul-Rasheed shot dead outside Ohio airport after ‘attempting to stab’ police officer: cops

A 41-year-old Ohio man armed with several knives tried to buy a plane ticket with a fake ID before being gunned down by police after lunging at an officer with a blade outside the Columbus airport, police said.

Hashim Hanif Ibn Abdul-Rasheed had parked illegally outside the ticketing terminal and was acting bizarrely as he tried to buy a ticket to an undisclosed location Wednesday afternoon. He showed off a woman’s ID to try and make the buy at one point before he was rebuffed, cops said.

Airport police called a tow truck to remove the illegally parked vehicle from the departures lane just before 1 p.m. Wednesday when Abdul-Rasheed returned

2. Jewish leaders call for Europe-wide legislation outlawing antisemitism

(Once again, professional Jews get it catastrophically wrong. They may as well build the camps themselves if they are going to do this. There is no such thing as collective rights and if we are going to start inventing them, muslims will have a legal basis to destroy all of us, Jews, secular liberals etc.)

Proposal would criminalise activities such as banning the burqa, forced marriage, female genital mutilation and Holocaust denial

European Jewish leaders, backed by a host of former EU heads of state and government, are to call for pan-European legislation outlawing antisemitism amid a sense of siege and emergency feeding talk of a mass exodus of Europe’s oldest ethnic minority.

A panel of four prestigious international experts on constitutional law backed by the European Council on Tolerance and Reconciliation (ECTR) have spent three years consulting widely and drafting a 12-page document on “tolerance”. They are lobbying to have it converted into law in the 28 countries of the EU.

The proposal would outlaw antisemitism as well as criminalising a host of other activities deemed to be violating fundamental rights on specious religious, cultural, ethnic and gender grounds.

BUENOS AIRES (Reuters) – The first journalist to report on the death of a Argentine state prosecutor, who was investigating the deadly 1994 bombing of a Jewish community center in Buenos Aires, said on Saturday that he had fled Argentina fearing for his life. “I’m leaving because my life is in danger. My phones are tapped,”

4. More than 40 Philippine police officers killed in clash with Muslim rebels

(But wait! didn’t the government there sign not one but two peace deals with various muslim rampaging groups?)

At least 49 Philippine police commandos have been killed in a clash with Muslim rebels in the south, a bloodbath which tested a peace accord signed last March.

An 11-hour gun battle broke out after police entered the remote town of Mamasapano, held by the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) without coordinating with the rebels as required under their ceasefire agreement.

The bodies of 49 police have been recovered from the town on Mindanao island and moved to an army camp, regional police spokeswoman Judith Ambong told AFP.

She did not say whether any MILF members were killed.

Police had been targeting two high-profile terror suspects in the operation.

“This is going to be a big problem,” the MILF’s chief peace negotiator Mohagher Iqbal told AFP when asked how the fighting would affect the peace process.

5. Canadian troops again battle IS group in Iraq

Ottawa (AFP) – Canadian special forces have twice exchanged gunfire with Islamic State fighters in Iraq since the first confirmed ground battle between Western troops and IS earlier this month, a senior officer said Monday.

Recalling the first incident, Captain Paul Forget told a briefing: “Two similar events have occurred over the last week and, in both cases, Canadian special operations forces, again acting in self-defense, effectively returned fire, neutralizing the threat.”

No Canadians were injured, he added

6. ISIS Spokesman Al-Adnani Pledges More Terror Attacks on West

(Video is worth the watch at site)

ISIS has called on its supporters to carry out terror attacks in Western countries, according to an audio recording released Monday that celebrates recent atrocities including the Charlie Hebdo massacre in Paris.

The Islamist extremist group’s spokesman, Abu Muhammad Al-Adnani, urged jihadis to carry out lone wolf atrocities in the message, which was produced its media arm and distributed on Twitter and jihadi forums.

Al-Adnani praised recent attacks in Canada, France, Australia, and Belgium and warned the West that ISIS would continue to inflict terror on its soil and that worse attacks were to come.

7. ‘I’m going to go Jew bashing’: What teenage thug texted friend before Muslim thugs beat up Orthodox Jewish man ‘in protest against conflict in Palestine’

(I wonder how this staggeringly stupid and counter-productive idea from Europe’s professional Jews would have stopped this?)

An Orthodox Jew was beaten up by a gang of teenagers who said the attack was a protest ‘about the Palestinians and the Jewish community’, a court has heard.

Balawal Sultan, 18, Kesa Malik, 19, Hassnain Aliamin, 18, all from Newcastle-upon-Tyne, and a 17-year-old boy have all admitted attacked the 41-year-old victim in nearby Gateshead.

Sultan, who had hours earlier sent a text message saying he was ‘going Jew bashing’, lay in wait with the other three behind a van before pouncing on the victim as he walked home to his family.

The victim screamed in fear as the pack chased him down the street, throwing wood at him, before tripping as he fled and being surrounded by the teenagers while stricken on the ground.

9. LA Times: Under Islamic State, life in Mosul, Iraq, turns grim

Those who disobey Islamic State’s fundamentalist edicts — including banning smoking or doing business during daily prayer times, and requiring women to cover their heads and faces — are whipped. Or worse. Late last month, two doctors were executed, according to ousted officials who continue to communicate by phone with Mosul residents, for having failed to save the life of an Islamic State leader wounded in an airstrike.

A few great SUN TV clips. Jihad in Canada by any other name; please and crypto climatology

(with apologies to Yucki. Try the Sun’s page here and see if it works)

1. While SUN TV has the guts to go farther than most in discussing the reasons for the Ecole Polytechnique shooting of 14 women by a Canadian Muslim because he didn’t believe women should be educated, they still avoid the truth. A truth that is so obvious that even the information on Wikipedia about Mr. Lapine, not his real name, he was born,  Gamil Rodrigue Liass Gharbi, and his Algerian jihadi father gives you enough information to work out why he killed all those women being educated about secular matters like engineering and science.

2. The discussion about climatology is no longer about science whatsoever and is now the domain of law fare. No wonder the left likes islam so much. They feel the same way with people who reason and ask questions.

Setting the record straight on Islam. John Robson SUN TV

It has been quite a day already for both events, and people speaking frankly about Islam and those events.

The Pat Condell clip in the post below is excellent. Superb. Important even. As is this John Robson clip, Prof. Robson himself a professor of History at Ottawa University, comes out and speaks the obvious and well documented truth about Islamic history and its aggressions.

Two last links for Oct. 28 2014. USRWA works for Hamas, and an interview with an Islamic State recruiter.

1. UNRWA on SUN News:

2. “Democracy is Something for Unbelievers”

The following fascinating interview with a recruiter for the Islamic State was originally published by Der Spiegel and has been translated by Rembrandt Clancy.

You’ll notice that the interviewer is what is commonly referred to as a “moderate Muslim”. In his eagerness to find acceptable, humane parts of the Koran with which to confront his subject, he seems unaware that the Doctrine of Abrogation has rendered those verses irrelevant. The IS recruiter, in contrast, is fully versed in all the nuances of Islamic law.

“Islamic State” Recruiter Interviewed: “Democracy is something for Unbelievers”

What makes the “Islamic State” tick? How do their followers see the world? An IS-recruiter gives SPIEGEL ONLINE an account of how the extremists imagine the future. A disputatious discussion with an uncompromising radical.

“Most Influential Blogger Award”

Blazing Cat Fur nominated me for most influential blog award. This is a little like Michael Jordan nominating me for best basketball player award. Except that I do have a blog and I don’t play basketball. Nonetheless I am honored to be considered for this and especially by BCF. A site that actually does break a lot of stories that need breaking, and which does influence the legacy media to report on things, either because BCF discovers stories for them or embarrasses them into reporting on things they should have been covering but where afraid to previously.

Here are the rules for nominees, the answers to the 7 questions posed to me, and my nomination and 7 questions for them.

1. I heard you gave up your Accordion band to join the Counter Jihad. Is that true and what makes it so fulfilling a vocation for you?

Well, if it had been accordion band, giving it up would have been reward enough. I did have a career in the arts though and yes, I had to back-burner it a great deal to do this. The reason being, when one becomes aware of the seriousness and nature of the problem of galloping leftism and Islamic transformation on our cultures and societies, it is exceedingly difficult to turn your back on that knowing that there is no one else working on the problem. In fact, those who are well paid to work on the problem seem comfortably on the other side aiding the enemy and anesthetizing those they are elected to represent. That and this gives me the chance to write lots and lots of run-on sentences.

2. Marx predicted England would be the first to experience revolution. Are we wrong as well in assuming it is nearing its tipping point?

What a tragic thing it is to find myself actually hoping they have one. It seems that this is all that can save them at this point and from this perspective. If England harbours any hope of preserving itself as a culture and a people they should prepare for one. Just not a Marxist one. They already had that one and it isn’t working out so well. As Mark Steyn pointed out, the British Health services, the NHS is the third largest employer in the world after the Chinese army and the Indian Railway.

3.What are your worst fears for the future?

Have a look at the Balkans recent past for the last 35 years or so. England for the past 25 or so. India when Tamerlane swept through with Islamic armies. The muslim ‘archeologists’ in Gaza who dig up any artifact showing Jewish ancestral existence for the sole purpose of destroying it as the Saudis do when an ancient church is unearthed in the KSA. Dagestan in the former USSR, and Afghanistan since the hippies left and it renewed its Islamic roots. Then transfer that to Toronto, Ottawa, and Edmonton. One can extrapolate pretty easily as we are making the exact same policy errors that they did.

Maybe we should ask the people who used to live in Marseille if they feel we should do things differently than they did.

4. What brings you hope for the future?

Seeing Canadian couples with babies.

5. If you had the Prime Minister’s ear what would you say to him?

Can you please explain to me why it is that you seem to be the most aware leader in the Western world about Islam and the non-miscablity it has with liberal democracy yet you are importing more orthodox muslims into Canada than anywhere else and ever before? How to you see this working out for anybody? We cannot sustain a civilization on the basis of infiltration and whack-a-mole. A nation is made of the people within it, and their shared values. Law, is nothing more than codified culture in every respect. You cannot have a nation of laws and multiculturalism. That creates balkanization at best.

6. Your blog is called Vlad Tepes, how come you don’t decorate it with cool pictures of Dracula? Or better yet Dracula Babes?

When I started this site, I wanted to pick a historical name for someone who most had forgotten was famous in his day for resisting islamic jihad into the West. Vlad Tepes is famous as Dracula but is a genuine hero to the Romanian people for defending his people against Islamic invasion. Although, like the Crusaders, he eventually lost, he was a great man for what he did accomplish till then. People would do well to know his real history. Even muslims often tell their children that Vlad Tepes was a great enemy of Islam. Something which is a very high honour indeed given the nature of it.

I also don’t know any goth chicks well enough to get those photos but maybe after they see this cool award they will send some in to me (hint hint)

7. Who are your must reads in the Jihadosphere?

I am typing these out in the order they occur to me, not in the order of importance or quality.

Gates of Vienna.

Maj. Stephen Coughlin.

Blazing Cat Fur.

Point De Bascule.

Jihad Watch.

Tundra Tabloids

The EDL sites

Pat Condell

and in 20 minutes I will kick myself for all the people who I speak to and read every week and have forgotten about just at the moment like Front Page and many more. But thankfully the list is growing.

I nominate Point De Bascule.

PDB, Like Blazing Cat Fur, does a ton of original research. Focusing entirely on the jihad on Canada, PDB has files on so many of the nasty characters that inhabit mosques in here, what their backgrounds are, and what their actual connections and activities are. Which typically are at 180 degree odds with what they claim their values are publicly, and PDB busts them. They are what the FBI should be, except they dont get paid and if the government could stop them they probably would. The site is typically bilingual. Again, they do not get paid for this. So they do all that work as volunteers in two languages. Some security personnel in Canada occasionally turn to them to find out details and backgrounds of some of these characters. Just wait a few days and check their site for a brilliant example of exactly what I am talking about. Point De Bascule means ‘The Tipping Point’ and I suspect they may feel Canada is much closer to that then most of us would be comfortable knowing.

My 7 questions for them:

1. Which cities in Canada would you say are the most compromised and penetrated by the Muslim Brotherhood and sharia seeking groups?

2. Can you describe how you got into this and why?

3. Where does Canada stack up in terms of degree of penetration by Islamic orgs. for the purpose of transforming Canada into a more Islamic state as compared to the USA and various European states such as France?

4. What would be your advice to average Canadians to help change the course we are on with respect to Islamification of Canada?

5. How does Quebec differ from English Canada on these issues?

6. To what degree does the legacy media in Canada collude with each other and the government (as it is in England) to cover up Islamic actions in Canada and Quebec?

7. Do we have the same kinds of problems as England and France such as pedophile rape gangs and major areas becoming sharia enforced no-go zones?

Some great SUN TV clips for Wed. Sept 21 2011

Ezra is joined by Ottawa’s David Harris, former chief of strategic planning for CSIS to talk about the security charade that is Canadian security at airports

Day three of Ezra’s expose of the attempt, no the successful bullying via lawfare by the Saudis to silence criticism of their totalitarian misogynist and antisemitic regime. Notice how now other major media are picking up the story that Ezra first caught.
