It has been quite a day already for both events, and people speaking frankly about Islam and those events.

The Pat Condell clip in the post below is excellent. Superb. Important even. As is this John Robson clip, Prof. Robson himself a professor of History at Ottawa University, comes out and speaks the obvious and well documented truth about Islamic history and its aggressions.

  4. Superb. And succinct! I can’t think where else I’ve seen the centuries of Islamic aggression compressed so neatly.

  5. He slips at the end, saying ‘the better part of 1000’ years when he means ‘well over 1000 years.’ But any Muslim setting him straight on that only makes Robson’s case for him.

Curious how John Robson manages to survive at a university, holding the views he does, I had a look at U of Ottawa’s ‘Rate My Professors,’ in itself a discouraging reminder what university has become (teachers are rated on ‘Hotness’ and ‘Easiness,’ among other qualities). But Prof. Robson fares well in this popularity contest, 4.7/5.

    To get a higher score, he could model himself on Prof. Habib, for whom “exams are a celebration of your knowledge” and who, according to one student ‘saved me on my midterm bumping my mark up by 25%.’ That’s the path to a good ‘Helpfulness’ rating! Robson is well-enough liked, though. ‘Can get a bit into some overly right-wing rhetoric, but he is always very clear that he wants you to think for yourself.’
