Obama’s Cairo speech, Geert Wilders’ new book, and low volume of posts recently.

Some things take longer than others to do obviously. Making an original video requiring research and proper vetting can take up hours, weeks or months and even years.

I have not been able to post as much material to this site as I would have liked to for the past many weeks as I have been working both on video projects of my own (no fear, all counter-jihad related) as well as assisting other people who have been doing utterly fantastic and important work.

In 2009, when I saw newly-elected president Obama’s speech in Cairo co-sponsored by Al-Azaar, I made a mental note that some day I must do some sort of critical analysis of what I heard as much of it was, to say the least, frightening and possibly outright dishonest. At worst, enemy propaganda, although I suspect it is more likely an insulting attempt to curry favor with the Islamic world. Insulting because anyone knows when they are being lied to even by way of flattery.

I had back-burnered this idea as I knew it would take a lot of research, time and effort. Two of those things I just do not have in abundance.

Then, Geert Wilders excellent book, ‘Marked For Death’, came in the mail.

The introduction is by Mark Steyn, and as one expects from him, is honest, insightful, amusing in a way that tries to hide the raw horror of the subject at hand, and entertaining. The book itself is a combination of autobiography and analysis of Islam and its interaction with the Western world. At least so far. For full disclosure here, I have not finished it all yet, but will within the next couple of days. However I have found it so motivating and thorough, and that Geert had kindly done the exact work I needed for my procrastinated video-project, that I started dog-earing it and doing the analysis.

So I dedicate this video to Geert Wilders. A man I have had the privilege of meeting and speaking with in person, and who has sacrificed a great deal in the long-shot attempt that the rest of us may preserve some of the freedoms we have now, and hope-against-hope, get back some of the ones we have already lost.

I realize that most people who read this site would not find much novelty in any counter-jihad book. But please buy Geert Wilders new release. Not just because it is a way of putting a small amount of cash into the hands of one of the Western World’s potential saviors and who urgently needs, and deserves it, but because it is a really great book and a fantastic read.

Michael Coren interviews the man behind Acts 17 Apologetics

I am a huge fan of both of these fine men. To see Mr. Coren interview him alone was good enough for me. But what is being said I believe is critical information. The state of various municipalities in the US today, how governments with large Islamic influence have abandoned all semblance of American constitutional law, and are run like organized crime with religious justification.

OBAMA GIVES MORE FEED FOR THE TERRORIST TROUGH

The lunacy continues.

Because at this time and juncture in U.S. history, the treasury is just flush with cash, and the Palestinian Authority is such a logical place of investment.  (</sarcasm off>)

Also, don’t miss : Palestinian Authority Foreign Minister Referred to Anti-Corruption Commission, Misused Diplomatic Passports (Fm: Challah Hu Akbar)

US President Barack Obama has lifted a ban on financial aid to the Palestinian Authority.

Obama stated that the aid was “important to the security interests of the United States.”

The US Congress froze a $192 million aid package to the Palestinian Authority after its president, Mahmoud Abbas, defied US pressure and sought to attain UN endorsement of Palestinian statehood last September. The presidential waiver means that aid can now be delivered.

The unilateral statehood gambit was strongly opposed by Israel, which said Abbas was seeking to avoid negotiating the necessary compromises and modalities of statehood with Israel. The US indicated it would veto a resolution in the Security Council seeking unilateral recognition of “Palestine,” but the issue has not come to a vote, because the Palestinians were unable to obtain sufficient support in the Security Council. They may yet seek a non-binding endorsement of statehood in the UN General Assembly.

Judge rules enforcing Muslim law on everyone not establishment of religion

There is so much wrong with what is said in this article that it deserves a whole book rather than the measly few words I will write here. But first and foremost should and indeed, must be,
‘Who gives a crap what Islamic law says?’
If they want the freedom to eat whatever they want, then they should not commit crimes that put them in jail.
And that is just for openers.

Eeyore for Vlad.

A federal judge says an Ohio prison that forces all inmates to adhere to a strict Islamic diet is not an establishment of religion  because everyone eats the same food.

A federal judge recently threw out prisoner James Rivers’ lawsuit against Ohio Prison director Gary Mohr’s decision to ban pork from kitchens in all prisons under control of the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction. Mohr made the decision to stop serving pork products after a Muslim on death row filed a lawsuit against the prison system.

Abdul Awkal, an inmate on death row, argued in his lawsuit that the prison’s failure to provide halal meals violated his religious freedoms.

Despite Awkal’s claims, Islamic teaching says it is perfectly acceptable to eat non-halal meat if there is no halal food available.

Islam teaches that meat such as pork is considered unclean and not to be eaten. This would include all pork products including sausage and bacon.

Awkal was later joined by a second Muslim who is not on death row. Prison authorities had argued that they provided non-pork and vegetarian options for Muslims. The Muslims said that was not good enough and still insisted that the food they were given meet halal standards.

Despite Awkal’s claims that eating halal meat is a requirement of his faith, Islamic teaching says it is perfectly acceptable to eat non-halal meat if there is no halal food available.

Rural kids, parents angry about Labor Dept. rule banning farm chores
By Patrick Richardson, Daily Caller

A proposal from the Obama administration to prevent children from doing farm chores has drawn plenty of criticism from rural-district members of Congress. But now it’s attracting barbs from farm kids themselves.

The Department of Labor is poised to put the finishing touches on a rule that would apply child-labor laws to children working on family farms, prohibiting them from performing a list of jobs on their own families’ land.

Under the rules, children under 18 could no longer work “in the storing, marketing and transporting of farm product raw materials.”

“Prohibited places of employment,” a Department press release read, “would include country grain elevators, grain bins, silos, feed lots, stockyards, livestock exchanges and livestock auctions.”

Police in Alabama need help to “catch a mob”

Video is here.

Apparently, the new war cry of, ‘Justice for Trayvon’ allows angry mobs of black people to beat white people to death whenever a single cranky white guy asks kids not to play basketball on the road.

What was that quote about the “whip hand”?

Story at the Blaze

I wonder if Obama had an angry mob, if they would look just like the guys the police are asking for help to arrest.

HUEYTOWN, Alabama – Federal authorities said they have tried to remove a Palestinian man who has been arrested 35 times in 12 years in Alabama, but said other countries have refused to take him.

Sofyan Eldani, 45, was arrested by Hueytown police earlier this week after he was found during a traffic stop to be in possession of crack cocaine. Police Chief Chuck Hagler said he was frustrated to find out that Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials were familiar with the convicted felon, but couldn’t send him to his native country because the U.S. doesn’t recognize Palestine as a country. Eldani said he is a native of Palestine, though he carries an Egyptian passport.

Temple Black, a spokesman for ICE, today released the following statement regarding the predicament with Eldani.

“Sofyan Eldani was previously detained by ICE and ordered removed to Egypt. ICE made a travel document request to Egypt. Mr. Eldani made travel document requests to Egypt, Israel and Kuwait,” the statement read. “When authorities in those countries declined to provide the appropriate travel documents to facilitate Mr. Eldani’s removal, he was released from ICE custody due to the Supreme Court’s ruling in Zadvydas v. Davis.”

Your guide to the story

Twenty-year-old terrorism suspect Mohamed Mohamud appeared in Portland’s federal courthouse Tuesday as his lawyers and government prosecutors argued over a laundry list of evidence sought by his defense team.

Mohamud, wearing standard blue jail scrubs and close-cropped hair, stared at the defense table throughout the roughly two-hour proceeding. It was hard to tell whether he was reading a court document or just listening carefully as lawyers argued before U.S. District Judge Garr M. King.

His appearance marked the first time he had appeared in court since shortly after his Nov. 26, 2010, arrest by the FBI.

The government accuses him of attempting to ignite a weapon of mass destruction next to Portland’s holiday tree lighting ceremony at Pioneer Courthouse Square. But the bomb, as it happens, was a harmless fake presented to Mohamud by undercover FBI operatives posing as terrorists.

Tuesday’s courtroom debate centered evidence that the defense team hopes to obtain about federal agents, informants and operatives that they accuse of entrapping Mohamud in a crime he wouldn’t have committed without them.

His trial is set for Oct. 2.
