ANDRÉ-CHAVANNE school. “Their teacher evokes an incident that happened in 2009 to justify her decision” say the parents

In 2009 the students of the school, Andre Chavanne were insulted by the mosque congregation.

Gymnastics teacher of Andre Chavanne school, prevented her students last month from participating in a gym course on the athletics area. The reason? The stadium is close to the mosque of Petit-Saconnex and were insulted by many of the congregation. This explanation shocked the parents.

SHOCKED:

“I find it inadmissible that my 16 year old daughter cannot go and run in a work-out dress under the pretext that the mosque is found in proximity of the school” says the father of a  16 year old student and the mother of a family says, “why would you want to pour oil on a fire? Our children did not understand the real motivation of their professor. The incident that she evokes is ancient and since then there has been no problems!”

Precautions:

But lets come back to this Friday, the beginning of Oct. this day of prayer. The girls insisted to run outside like the boys. To justify her refusal the teacher reminds them that 2009 a class of girls out equally to run on Friday was insulted… the result from the dept. of public education and from the mosque, the mosque leaders presented their apologies and promised to put everything to work so that no other incidents would reoccur and on it’s site the dept. of public education renounced their complaint.

THE FEAR OF THE TEACHER:

Now, three years later, it reappears. “It is not a decision of the school but that of an isolated teacher” Patrick Netuschill, wanted to emphasize that fact. “The teacher had planned her course for inside. He details it is true that she argued her refusal by reminding notably what has happened in 2009 and she has the right to do it. Mostly if she estimated that the outdoor activity could put her course in danger. And this at the same title as her refusal to go for example to a museum if her students are rebellious.

WE DISAPPROVE:

On it’s side the direction of the cultural Islamic foundation of Geneva wants to have known “we have not had any knowledge of such events having ever happened. However if that was the case, the position of the mosque and its directors has not changed. We categorically disapprove of the behavior of its congregation including the poor behavior and the incivility that are contrary to the teachings of islam.”

Switzerland: Pupil Bullied Out of School by Classmates Because he Refused to Convert to Islam

Islam V Europe:

Peter is a quiet, unremarkable school pupil. The sixth year pupil enjoys going to school, but for some time a classmate has been making his life in a Winterthur primary school difficult. This is not a matter of the usual teasing, but is, above, a question of religion. Ali (name changed) wants to convince Peter of his religious ideas and convert him to Islam. The teacher’s attempts to intervene remain without success, resulting in the sensitive Peter showing psychosomatic reactions.

In the 1st class Peter and Ali get on very well. It was not important that 14 of the 19 school pupils had a Muslim background. But later Ali, whose father is a Muslim priest, to give Peter religious instruction. If he was a Muslim, they could be friends, said Ali, whose zeal became ever more marked as time went on.

The experiences of the Nigerian police agents:

Nigerian narcotics officers have been looking over the shoulders of their colleagues in Zurich for the past two weeks. The hosts profit more from this than the guests.

They pose with chests swelling with pride in front of the cameras of the press photographers. A passer-by smugly remarks that “This is probably an integration project”. But this is not the case. “We profit more from them that they from us”, says Bruno Gentilesca, a member of the city police in Zürich, who goes to patrol together with Benneth Uche and Kabiru Ibrahim. Controls are relaxed.

Uche and Ibrahim work in Nigeria for the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), an organization formed by 6000 members which fights against drug trafficking. They are two out of 19 agents who have been for the past months on practical training in some Swiss cities in which drug trafficking is mainly in the hands of Nigerians. The project of the national office for immigration goes about the exchange of experiences between colleagues of both lands. These men from Lagos have been accompanying the patrols and investigators of Zürich for 3 weeks.

It soon became evident how useful the Nigerian agents could be when dealing with suspects from their own land. Thanks to Uche and Ibrahim, the controlled subjects acted in a cooperative way, Gentilesca said.  In this way, the situations became more relaxed. And in addition to this, it has a deescalating effect when black people are present among the agents. If not, then passers-by often tell the police agents off as racists when they check Africans.

And it also happens that Nigerian offenders hope to be protected by those with the beige uniform from those with the blue one. But if they are handcuffed, Uche and Ibrahim would be told off by them as traitors.

And there is something more: Uche, whose uniform consists of trousers and a short-sleeve shirt,  stressed that it is incredibly cold in Zürich. This is a mere side issue, but it symbolizes rather well a recognition from this cooperative work: The conditions in Nigeria are so different from those in Switzerland, that the skills of one of the corps can hardly be passed on to the other. The Swiss understanding of the rule of law demands irrefutable proofs from the law enforcement authorities for the conviction. Till that point nobody is a culprit, but at worst a suspect who has the right to a lawyer.

Frustrating work

From the point of view of Uche, the Swiss laws are too soft; these would restrict the scope of action of the police and turn Switzerland into a “paradise for dealers”. The market is good, the prices high and the scope of action of the police is restricted. It must be frustrating to detain a dealer and meet him after a while again in the street.

Ibrahim explains that in his homeland the mere consumption of drugs can be punished with a sentence of 15 years in prison. Dealers are from time to time locked away for the rest of their life. This scares the “small fishes”, Uche says.  And the prospects of getting a mild sentence have already made offenders give tips on where to find those they were working for.

Switzerland strengthens its borders

From Effecten:

(Note: these are the first lines of an article published in the printed version of the “Effecten Spiegel” magazine. The online version publishes only these lines)

Switzerland is predicting bloody unrests in the coming years in Europe due to the Euro crisis. Because of fears that it may spread to their own country, and huge floods of refugees may arrive from Southern Europe, the authorities in Bern are arming their military forces and securing the borders at the four regions of the country. “I cannot rule out that in the coming years we will need the army”, Swiss defense minister Ueli Maurer declared to the Swiss press. Simulations for serious scenarios are already being carried out under the name of maneuver “Stabilo Due”

„Effecten Spiegel“ warned already at the beginning of the crisis 2 years ago that the „Greek burning garbage containers“ are only the beginning of a social conflagration. Nowadays, mass demonstrations and street clashes have turned something usual. In Spain, people go to the streets almost daily since May of the last year demonstrating against the European policies. The job market reform, the raising of the VAT, cuts in health care and education, payment cuts and rising unemployment steadily worsen the mood in the country. Pictures of looting rioters setting cars and garbage containers in fire and of teargas clouds and furious arrive on a regular basis from Italy, Portugal and France…

The Swiss Army is preparing contingency plans for violent unrest across Europe. A nation mostly famous for its banks, watches and chocolate fears it may face a massive influx of European refugees in the near future.

One of the world’s richest nations openly expressed concerns over the possible outcome of Europe’s continuing financial troubles, and is currently conducting army exercises against the possibility of riots along its borders.

In September, the Swiss military conducted exercises dubbed ‘Stabilo Due,’ with scenarios involving violent instability across the EU.

Switzerland has maintained an avowedly neutral stance for decades, and refused to join the eurozone when presented with the opportunity.

Bern’s biggest fear is likely the disorganization of neighboring nations’ armies that would follow general instability; the eurozone crisis and the severe austerity measures in the EU are forcing member-states to significantly slash their military budgets. If protest continues to spread across Europe, police and armed forces may find themselves ill-equipped to manage the unrest.

I will not rule out that we will need the army in the coming years,” Swiss Defense Minister Ueli Maurer said last Sunday.

The Swiss Defense Ministry has pressed ahead to modernize the country’s army despite political opposition. With its multibillion-Franc military budget and an army of around 200,000 soldiers, the country also plans to purchase new ‘Saab Gripen’ jet fighters.

“Minister Maurer, accompanied by whispers from the top uniformed leadership in Switzerland, is trying to raise awareness that Europe’s massive fiscal-cum-political crisis could get very unpleasant,” John R. Schindler, a professor of national security affairs at the US Naval War College wrote in an article for the XX Committee website.

The Chief of the Swiss Armed Forces, Lieutenant General André Blattmann, likewise revealed plans to deploy an additional four battalions of military police (1,600 soldiers) to protect strategic points across the country. Blattmann is expected to present the plan in December.

Protest in Gansbunnen Switzerland over absurd demands to tolerate excessive immigration

An original translation by Michael Laudahn:

A town in Switzerland with a total population of 103 people are expected to host 80 third world immigrants. It seems that some genius Swiss authority wants these immigrants to run the local restaurant and pub. Details are a bit scarce as filming and interviews are all being denied but more should come out as demand to know increases.

This madness must stop. If Europeans did this to an African village it would contravene the UN rules on genocide by population replacement.

In Gänsbrunnen, inhabitants [103, see here ] protest against a potential asylum accomodation holding lanterns on which they painted sad faces. The local council rejects the idea according to which the asylum seekers henceforth were to run the ‘St Joseph’ restaurant.

100 asylum seekers? No thank you’

Muslims Complain About Cross Symbol in Swiss Airline Adverts

Islam Vs. Europe

15:15 | Posted by Cheradenine Zakalwe

I posted last year about how some Swiss companies were removing the Swiss flag from their logos in order to appease Muslims. Some Islamic apologists claimed the companies were reacting to a problem that was entirely imaginary and, in reality, Muslims were not so primitive that they would be offended by the mere display of another religion’s symbols. Now we see that, in fact, they are.

The last advertising campaign of the Swiss transporter has not gone unnoticed. On large-format advertising hoards in the German-speaking part of Switzerland, the Swiss flag appears accompanied by the slogan “Kreuz ist Trumpf”. This means literally “The cross is an advantage”, or “clubs are trumps” for aficionados of jass, the traditional card game. A double meaning that not everyone has been able to grasp.

North African prisoners, more difficult than the rest in Switzerland

Also prisons in eastern Switzerland – showing the one at Frauenfeld, Thurgau – have to battle with unruly detainees from northern Africa.

Prisons in eastern Switzerland have huge problems with detainees of north african origin. They threaten and insult the staff – and sometimes even put pressure on fellow detainees who are ready to work.

Detainees from northern Africa are more prone to violence than others, and prison staff are more often being abused and insulted: This cry for help by Thomas Freytag, president of the prison association ‘Freiheitsentzug Schweiz’ [Swiss Imprisonment], broadcast via [state] Radio DRS, made wednesday’s headlines. The problems with inmates from countries like Tunesia, Morocco or Libya keep the staff on the go also in eastern swiss jails.  Continue Reading →

Gipsies: a political affair

Translation by Michael Laudahn:

From Lematin.Ch

Since sunday, numerous caravans have occupied without authorisation a vaste private terrain at Collombey-Muraz (VS).

Society: Eight hundred gipsies are squatting on a terrain at Collombey-Muraz (VS) [Valais canton], to the great regret of the farmers. The population’s incomprehension and anger have led those elected to propose ways-out.

They have landed with some fifty caravans, sunday on a private land close to Collombey-Muraz (VS). Yesterday morning, ‘we have counted 77 of them, and more keep coming’, deplores Simon Turin, the farmer exploiting this field where gens du voyage [travelling people] of french origin have chosen their quarters in complete illegality. The gipsies should be more than 800 this weekend, in order to celebrate a wedding.

Irritated, Simon Turin and Paul Kunz, this land’s proprietor, have appealed to the forces of order, hoping to see the gypsies leave the place. But it won’t be that way. They will stay there until sunday, to the great regret of the farmers and the local population, all of them fearing for their security, and not understanding why these people’s presence is enforced upon them. With regard to police, officers – ‘bereft’ of the option to demand their expulsion – are in a bad position having to negotiate with the gipsies, according to Jean-Marie Bornet, speaker of the Valais canton police.

Contacted yesterday, the Valais security minister Esther Waeber-Kalbermatten is not envisaging an imminent solution. And does not appear to consider the situation’s dimension: ‘Police do their maximum to safeguard the population’s safety. They respond to the orders of the prosecution service.’ A Valais prosecution service whose role it is ‘to stop those infractions which persist’, explains Nicolas Dubuis, procureur général adjoint. ‘But this set of problems with travellers is complex. It is the politicians’ responsibility.’  Continue Reading →

A woman is being treated in hospital for injuries after being attacked by cows while hiking through a pasture above Saint-Gingolph, a Valais town on the south bank of Lake Geneva.

The incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon when the hiker and a female companion, accompanied by a dog, walked through a field near the Lac de Lovenex, Valais cantonal police said.

For a reason not yet explained, a herd of cows moved toward the couple, knocking over and injuring one of the hikers in the head, police said.

A Rega rescue team arrived on the scene by helicopter and treated her on the spot before flying her to Lausanne’s university hospital (CHUV).

Mehdi Ghezali Terrorist said to have been a Swedish citizen with a history of Muslim extremist activities

Mehdi Ghezali (screen capture, Channel 10)

Bulgarian media on Thursday named the suicide bomber who blew up a bus full of Israeli tourists, killing five Israelis and a local bus driver, in the Black Sea resort of Burgas on Wednesday as Mehdi Ghezali.

There was no independent confirmation of the veracity of the information. The reports surfaced soon after Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had publicly accused Hezbollah, directed by Iran, of responsibility for the bombing. The Prime Minister’s Office made no comment on the reports.

The Bulgarian reports, rapidly picked up by Hebrew media, posited various versions of how the bomber had detonated the bomb, including the suggestion that the bomber had not intended to die in the blast, but may have wanted to place the bomb on the bus and flee.

Ghezali was reportedly a Swedish citizen, with Algerian and Finnish origins. He had been held at the US’s Guantanamo Bay detainment camp on Cuba from 2002 to 2004, having previously studied at a Muslim religious school and mosque in Britain, and traveled to Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, and Pakistan. He was released to Swedish custody in 2004, and the Swedish government did not press charges. He was also reportedly among 12 foreigners captured trying to cross into Afghanistan in 2009.

(Muslim) Woman told to accept abuse or leave country

The Local.Ch:

Switzerland’s supreme court has intervened to stop a young Kosovan woman having to decide whether to remain with her abusive husband or lose her Swiss residency permit

The 21-year-old Kosovan woman came to join her husband in St. Gallen in the east of Switzerland some 21 months ago, newspaper Tages Anzeiger reported.

The husband, who is seven years older than his wife, forbade her from attending German-language or integration courses and would only allow her to leave the house in the company of her mother-in-law.

When the woman tried to resist what she described as slave-like conditions, she was put out on the street. Her family back in Kosovo also rejected her for her behaviour.

Islamic Jihadists Using Switzerland as Base

Gatestone Institute:

15’000 police agents not enough in Switzerland!

Translation by Hermes:

From Blick.Ch

Sonntags BLICK met Jean-Marc Widmer, the top representant of Switzerland’s police union. Widmer strongly demands more personnel and he is ready to break taboos, too.

The population and the police officers are frustrated. Petty criminals make the life of the swiss population hard. They are mostly asylum seekers and criminal tourists. They commit burglaries, break in, commit attacks and steal cars.many of them are recidivists

In the Canton Aargau, the number of burglaries and robberies rose up to 30% in comparison with 2011. The number of burglaries commited in cars rose to a level of 150%. In the Canton Baselland, police openly complain about the fact that criminal tourists simply laugh at them. No sooner arrested, they are set free again.

The Cantons Geneva and Waadt are nowadays witnessing an explosive amount of cases involving cross-border criminality. French gangs act with an ever increasing aggressivity.

Taking into account the whole of Switzerland, robbings increased last year by a 16%, which means 580 filed complaints a day. Housebreakings rose a 5%.It seems that Switzerland cannot handle the situation.

SonntagsBlick has for this reason, conducted an interview with Jean-Marc Widmer, the top representant of Switzerland’s police union. He demands tougher punishments, border controls, and much more agents. Additional agents are allegedly to be recruited amongst foreigners who would be nationalized through an accelerated procedure.

Mr. Widmer, do you and your colleagues find it pleasant to work as police agents?

Jean-Marc Widmer: The motivation in the corps is getting lower. The work has changed a lot during the last years. The aggression against police agents, both male and female, is increasing. We are too little time in the streets and too much time behind the desk. We have lots of paperwork to do. Agents are increasingly being sued. The political support was also bigger (by then. Now not).

Criminal tourists are nowadays a huge problem.

Jean-Marc Widmer: Geneva was always a preferred place by gangs coming from Lyon. Ever since the (creation of the) new code of criminal procedure from January 1, 2011, Switzerland became a paradise for those criminals. They do not take much risks, even if spotted. This spreads fast in those circles. Romanians just laugh when they get an order of punishment in (their homes in) Romania. Continue Reading →

Sex attacks in Basel

Let’s say your house had become infested with wasps because you had no screens and you leave the windows open. These wasps, being especially aggressive ones, are not content to get in your fridge and cupboards, eat your food, nest in your linen and build giant hives wherever your family likes to gather, but they sting your family members and your welcome guests every opportunity they have.

You have lots of options. You could install good screens so you can still enjoy the fresh air and keep the wasps out, meanwhile systematically removing all the wasps from inside your home to the outside. You could segregate a part of the house for the wasps if you really wanted to, and confine them to that room, keeping your family safe that way even though you would still probably have to feed and provide linen for their increasingly large and loud nests, eventually having to go back to plan 1.

The Swiss have another idea though.

They want to hang “quadrangular” boxes on all the women so if they get stung, it will make a loud noise. I can’t quite understand the utility of this plan unless it is to attract all the other wasps in the area to come sting her also.

Insecurity and fear with women

BASEL: In Basel, sex attacks are getting more frequent. Blick.ch asked women how they felt, with regard to the shock reports.

He pretended to be helpful, then he attacked his victim

Friday night, an unknown man raped a woman in Elisabethenanlage in Basel. It was the seventh sex attack during the last two months in Basel that was communicated by the administration.

Many women are now in fear to be around Basel all on their own. ‘I feel insecure, especially when going out’, says a young Basel woman towards Blick.ch. ‘I try to avoid strange places.’ Another young woman dares no longer being about town on her own: ‘It is very bad that even in Switzerland, we now do no longer have the freedom to be outside on our own’, says her girl friend.

Alarm buttons

Experts recommend women to have mobile alarm appliances with them. Alessandra Pini, Opferhilfe beider Basel [= aid for victims in both Basels – meaning in both Basel-Stadt (city canton) and Basel-Landschaft (rural area canton)]: ‘We recommend women to, if possible, go home together, or take a taxi. Another possibility for women is to carry an alarm button with them. We distribute them already in cases of domestic violence. It is a quadrangular box. If you pull the plug, a loud noise sounds, similar to that of a car alarm.’

Every woman should have the right to move on her own in the public sphere. Pini: ‘Unfortunately, there is no absolute security. It is also important to warn the public.

If you notice that a woman is being harassed, you should interfere or, if you are afraid, notify police. As a passer-by, it is important that you keep an eye on what is going on around you.’

René Gsell, Basel public prosecutor’s office, speaks about a growth of sex attacks against women in Basel. Also the chief inspector [presumably the just mentioned René Gsell] recommends women to carry a mobile alarm system with them. ‘Once triggered, they make a hell of a noise. If you use defence sprays you run the risk of hurting yourself.’
