Holland takes the three monkeys approach to law enforcement

Don’t arrest, Don’t charge, Don’t register. Holland takes the Canadian approach to ethnic crime. Simply don’t mention the ethnicity of violent criminals.

Rotterdam boroughs stop ethnic registration

Friday 04 February 2011

Rotterdam borough councils have stopped registering the ethnicity of youths who get into trouble with the police on the orders of the CPB privacy watchdog, the Volkskrant reports on Friday.

The CPB had threatened the borough of Charlois with a fine of €2,000 a day if it did not stop registration, which it has now done, the paper says.

The boroughs have been unable to prove registring ethnicity has improved the situation of the youths concerned or reduced petty crime and other social problems, the paper said.

The high school student has been harassed by her fellow students. The girl that hit the victim will be suspended by the school, the director of the school board told the AD.

Dutch girl sent to hospital by Muslims for “slutty photo”

Girl (13) violated over Twitter photo

A thirteen-year-old girl was beaten up and sent to the hospital last Friday, after a conflict about a Twitter photo.

The victim is a student at Huygens College, a VMBO high school in the Amsterdam West area. A classmate put a somewhat juicy picture on Twitter.

According to a police spokesman, the school subsequently witnessed a “tense atmosphere” between two opposing groups. Meanwhile, on Twitter the verbal abuse went on as well. The police paid two visits to the Huygens College, together with the community-coordinator [PC lingo for: local agent] in order to calm things down.

At first this seemed to work, but later that day things turned ugly nevertheless. The girl had been sent home as a precaution, but later on she went back to school to voice her displeasure. At the Overtoom [street in Amsterdam], the girl suffered a bruised vertebra during a violent confrontation that took place between the two groups. She received treatment in hospital and has returned home.

In a comment to AT5 [Amsterdam local news channel] she says she’s terrified of returning back to school.

The other girl in the picture is a student from a school in the Amsterdam-Noord area. There are reports that she also has been threatened.

Wikileaks: Americans concerned about radicalization and anti-American views of Dutch Muslims

More shocking news from Wikileaks. Dutch broadcaster NOS published several cables from the American Embassy in the Hague, detailing how concerned the Americans were (and still are) about the threat posed by radicalized Dutch and other European Muslims, and the steps the Americans took to deal with this threat.

Embassy staff visited Overtoomseveld, the neighborhood where Theo Van Gogh’s murderer, Mohammed Bouyeri, grew up, and were shocked by the anti-American viewpoints (PDF, 2005) held by the residents:

Overtoomseveld is a Moroccan neighborhood in Western Amsterdam, made notorious on November 2, 2004 when native son Mohammed Bouyeri murdered filmmaker Theo van Gogh on an Amsterdam street in broad daylight. One year later, it remains a largely segregated community, in many ways more Arab than Dutch. Over the last year, Embassy and Consulate officials visited this economically depressed neighborhood several times and established contacts with local Muslim and non-Muslim residents, at least one of whom knew Bouyeri prior to the murder.

(…)

The Muslim character of Overtoomseveld is immediately apparent to the casual visitor. Women are more visible on balconies (usually with small children) than on the street, and nearly all wear headscarves. Arabic language shop-window signs and graffiti — much of it anti- American — are common.

(…)

Neighborhood youth are also active graffiti artists; when the Consul General and emboffs toured the neighborhood in late September, graffiti on apartment buildings included obscenities against President Bush, adoration for Saddam Hussein and several HAMAS-related displays. According to police contacts, local police are now trained to monitor amounts and types of graffiti as signs of radicalism.

According to Amsterdam West Youth Coordinator Tom Smakman, Overtoomseveld is not the toughest neighborhood in Amsterdam, but it is the most likely to produce radicals. Smakman claimed this was because of the density of the population and the level of poverty among its residents: People know that there are a lot of frustrated youths in this neighborhood. He stressed that police are less worried about what takes place on the streets — which they can monitor — than about what goes on behind closed doors. According to Smakman, radical views are more widespread than ever among local youth, many of whom consider Bouyeri a hero. Many youth, however, will not express their feelings openly in public or in the presence of their parents, who largely reject such views. However, Smakeman added, We don’t know what happens when the drapes are shut. Continue Reading →

The Queen and the Somali plot from Klein Verzet

In her Christmas speech, Queen Beatrix told people to show solidarity with others in society. She said we should try to find a good balance between ‘us’ and ‘them’. Fear and suspicion could be vanquished if people adopted a social perspective. She urged people to involve each other in solving problems and stressed that we all belong to a single society in which every individual needs to feel safe.

The danger exists that what we have in common is ignored while differences and contrasts are exaggerated. We should be ready to recognise our own prejudices and consider the consequences of our behaviour for others and for society as a whole. Her majesty said we should treat others the way we’d like them to treat us.

These high-minded thoughts were nullified immediately afterward by the news that 12 Somali suspects of plotting a terror attack had been arrested in Rotterdam and Gilze-Rijen. Apparently, they were planning to shoot down an Apache attack helicopter at Gilze-Rijen airforce base, home of 85 of such aircraft.

In the mean time all but one of the suspects have been released. The expectations are that all will be free (NL) in the immediate future for lack of (admissible) evidence.

But there is something fishy about the group of suspects…

Prominent Jews Leave Amsterdam over Anti-Semitism

From Israel National News:

H/T MV

A son of a prominent rabbi in the Netherlands has announced plans to move to Israel due to anti-Semitism. Benzion Evers, son of well-known Dutch rabbi Raphael Evers, told De Telegraaf that he feels “suffocated and caged” in his home country due to anti-Jewish sentiment.

“I’m fed up with the verbal abuse and the streetfighting,” he told Het Parool, another Dutch paper.

“It’s not that you can’t leave the house, but you need to constantly hide, to be careful,” he explained. He related his own cautionary measures, which include avoiding certain neighborhoods, and hiding his kippah (yalmulke) when walking through areas with a high number of Muslim immigrants.

While anti-Semitism is not uncommon among Muslim immigrants, particularly those from Morocco and Turkey, there is a second kind of anti-Semitism that is common in the Netherlands as well, Evers said, an educated anti-Semitism that is disguised as anti-Zionism.

Five of the Evers’ family children have already left the Netherlands, he added, and his father plans to move as well after retirement. More than half of orthodox Jews end up leaving the country, he stated.

Just days earlier, Dutch politician Frits Bolkestein stated that religious Jews have no future in the Netherlands due to anti-Semitism. They should “emigrate to the U.S. or Israel,” he said. His comments were published in the book “The Decay: Jews in a Rudderless Netherlands” by Manfred Gerstenfeld.

The main cause of increasing hostility to Jews is “anti-Semitism among Dutchmen of Moroccan descent, whose numbers keep growing,” Bolkestein stated. He expressed doubt that the government is capable of fighting anti-Semitism and protecting its Jewish citizens. Continue Reading →

No future for visible Jews in Holland

‘No future for Dutch Orthodox Jews’

Prominent VVD politician Frits Bolkestein believes there is no future for ‘active’ Jews in the Netherlands. The conservative politician made his remarks in an interview with freesheet De Pers.

In the interview, Mr Bolkestein says that when he talks about active Jews he means those who are recognisable as such, for instance Orthodox Jews. The former EU Commissioner says there is no future for this group in the Netherlands because of “the anti-Semitism among Dutchmen of Moroccan descent, whose numbers keep growing”.

He feels that this group of Jews should encourage their children to emigrate to either the United States or Israel, because he has little confidence in the effectiveness of the government’s proposals for fighting anti-Semitism.

Earlier, Mr Bolkestein made similar statements in Het Verval (The Decline) by Manfred Gerstenberg, a recently published book about Jews in the Netherlands. Frits Bolkestein was political leader of the current coalition party VVD between 1990 en 1998. He later served as European Commissioner from 1999 until 2004.

Muslims protest Israel in Holland.

Here is the logical conclusion of multiculturalism. If you let in everyone and give all peoples value sets an equal weight, then the most numerous and least tolerant among us will dominate. This is a no brainer.  In fact it is embarrassing to actually type this out, as if anyone alive wasn’t able to reason this out. But 2 generations now or more of politically correct, leftist indoctrination has made this obvious truth a heretical act to say out loud.

The next logical consequence in what people commonly think of as a democracy, as since the death of civics classes in schools people imagine that democracy is simply a system where idiots vote on things (and not any of the fundamental things like institutions and rules that make a nation a democratic one) politicians are going to have to set policy not based on what is true, not based on what is just or even what is good for the continuance of liberal democracy, but will have to degrade into mob rule and the thin pretence of democracy.

I think this video is one good illustration of that.

“Israel Is Fighting Our War”

From Gates of Vienna, an important article. Please spread this link as far and wide as you can.

Yedioth: Geert Wilders
Below is an interview with Geert Wilders from the Israeli newspaper Yedioth, published on November 19, 2010 (print edition only).

Many thanks to DarLink for translating it from the Hebrew:

“Israel is fighting our war”

Even a journalist from a friendly country such as Israel does not escape invasive hands of the security guards who protect Geert Wilders. At the entry point to the interview with Holland’s extreme politician, founder and leader of the anti-Islamic “Party for Freedom” [PVV], bodyguards do not hold back, and run extensive security checks. Time and again they recheck my identity, making sure that I possess nothing that could potentially turn into a weapon.

Wilders, on the other hand, looks disconnected from the security turmoil around him. It seems that he must be used to it. That’s the way it is if you are one of the most threatened persons in the world.

“To tell the truth, yes, I fear for my life,” he admits.

“I am just a man. The danger does not come only from Holland. It is outside too. There are very serious threats from various terror groups, and when one is aware of the extent of the danger, it is only human to think that something bad will happen. But I cannot allow these thoughts to affect my work. If I moderate my voice because of the threats, stop saying what is on my mind, or quit being a politician, those people will have used anti-democratic means, threats and murders to silence others. They will win. I am not going to let them”.

He has reason to fear. His statements against Islam, his demands to stop immigration of Muslims to his country, the building of new mosques or wearing the veil in public — all that did the job. Although in Europe he is recognized as the most prominent leader of the anti-Islam movement, imams in the Muslim world have sentenced him to death. Terror groups promise to murder him — a man who until recently was an obscure politician with hardly any influence, but now, thanks only to his support, a new Dutch government was formed a few weeks ago.

Wilders says aloud what many Dutch and EU citizens probably think, and he pays a very heavy price for that. He lives under around-the-clock tight protection in a “safe house” provided by the Dutch government. He is the only parliamentary representative with an “unknown” home address.

“It is sad that while fighting for my country’s freedom I lost my own,” says Wilders in a special interview for Yedioth. “I have only freedom of speech and thought. Threats to my life prove that my arguments are just. I am sure that if I spoke with criticism about Christianity or Judaism, there would be no such radical response. There would be no demonstrations in Vatican. The Dutch flag would not be burnt. A million and a half people who voted for us in the last elections do not see me as a fascist or a racist.”

In two weeks Wilders is coming for a visit to Israel as a guest of a parliament member Ariel Eldad. He is invited to participate in a conference against the two-state solution.

“Israel is the lighthouse and the only democracy in this backward and dictatorial part of the world,” he proclaims. “Israel is very close to us, to our European identity. Israel fights our war.”

Giant victory for freedom: U-turn on smoking ban as Holland ALLOWS lighting up in 2000 bars and pubs

I have been fighting these bans for years as totalitarian, which is exactly what they are. These are the state destroying the notuon of private property so that they can implement any rules they want, anywhere they want to create whatever the utopia-du-jour is, and we all know how well those work out.

At last, Holland, a nation I truly begin to believe has a more solid grip on the notion of individual rights and freedoms than perhaps even the United States at this time, is reversing the anti-freedom smoking bans we have seen sweeping the Western world. Except of course if its a Muslim owned bar or restaurant. Then somehow, it is interfering with their cultural right to smoke if we ban it in their establishments.

From The Mail Online:

Smokers in the Netherlands will now be able to light-up again in over 2000 of the country’s small owner-operated bars or pubs.

The partial over-turning of the blanket ban, which was introduced in 2008, is a huge victory for for smokers’ rights campaigners who had argued that the blanket ban was driving small bar owners out of business.

An incoming coalition government in the country has allowed the partial lifting of the ban for pubs which are less than 743.5 sq ft in size and which are staffed solely by the owner.

EDL DEMONSTRATORS CHASED BY MUSLIM THUGS CALLING THEM ‘ZIONISTS

This spells it out rather clearly, the Muslims know that the EDL are Zionists, and philosemitic, so outside of the EDL’s main emphasis of stopping radical Islam, it’s another reason that’s why the Muslims and the Left hate them. KGS
NOTE: This was posted earlier, but I wanted to place it with the other photos that just came in from the Amsterdam demo. Thanks to Henrik Clausen from Europe News for sending them in.

NEWS FROM THE AMSTERDAM DEMONSTRATION

Here’s a video report from the Dutch state-TV program “Nieuwsuur” of the two spokesmen from both the DDL (Dutch Defense League) and ANTIFA, the brown shirts of the mulitculti self anointed elite. Nieuwsuur interviewed Bert Jansen (DDL), and Job Polak (AFA) who will be present today in Amsterdam, on either side of today’s demonstration assembled in support of Geert Wilders. KGS

NOTE: The TT will be updating this post as news filters in.

H/T: GOV

UPDATE: The Baron promises to have something soon up about the demo, but I found a site from the opposition who has been tweeting some of the happenings that took place already. By the looks of it, the Antifa thugs are gleeful.

UPDATE: THE BARON COMES THROUGH:

A Successful Counterjihad Demonstration in an Amsterdam Backwater

I just got off the phone with Elisabeth Sabaditsch-Wolff, who will shortly be one of the speakers at today’s demonstration at Generatorstraat in Amsterdam. The police moved the demonstration to the new venue at the last minute, and Elisabeth says it is an awful place — a bare patch of grass in the middle of nowhere, far away from anything.

The demonstration, however is a smashing success, according to Elisabeth and others at the site. The remote open location apparently attracted massive media coverage, and Elisabeth has given four interviews so far. While she was talking to me, Paul Weston was being interviewed by a French media outlet.

The “anti-fascists” had gathered at the nearby train station to try to prevent the demonstrators from reaching the site, but they were not successful. Ruffians reputed to be from the AFCA/Ajax football club were at the station, ready for a fight, but were chased away by the police.

Elisabeth says that there is a helicopter hovering over the field, police on horses, and fifteen to twenty police vehicles on the scene. There are more police than civilians.

The English Defence League’s minivan was smashed by the Antifas, and the EDL was asked (reportedly by the British police, strangely enough) to leave the demonstration early.

For that reason Tommy Robinson had to give his brief address ahead of schedule, and made some caustic remarks about the state of free speech in Amsterdam. He showed the audience that he had to wear a bullet-proof vest while addressing them, and had strong words say about the inability of the Dutch authorities to protect peaceful demonstrators. He said it was a disgrace that the mayor had shunted the demo off into the middle of nowhere.

While I was talking to Elisabeth, I could hear Gandalf (“The Younger”, of VV&D and the Alliance to Stop Sharia) in the background speaking to the crowd and chastising the Antifas who were heckling him for their inability to tolerate real democracy.
There will be photos later, and I hear that there are already photos posted here. There will also be video.

Stay tuned.
