President of Finland joins many world leaders in a factual and honest world view

Perhaps it has always been a brave thing to speak truth in politics. But if not, it is now.

The President of Finland addresses Parliament this past week and among other things, covers culture and immigration.

Thank you Tundra Tabloids for the Translation.

A video clip of a group of refugees who move around in a cemetery in a city in Finland while mocking Christianity, as well as the Finns who are buried there, has brought up strong feelings in Finland. Now the men who appear in the video, and who live in an asylum center in the city have apologized.

The video, uploaded to Facebook, shows how Arab refugee caper about and make fun in a cemetery in the city of Kangasala in Finland. Among other things, the man recites verses from the Koran, pretending to lament the dead who are buried in the cemetery and making derisive sign of the cross. All the while his comrades were laughing and filming the act.

The men themselves uploaded the video to Facebook, which then rapidly spread even amongst Finns who reacted with disgust at the disrespect shown by the refugees. Among other things, the blog MV Lehti, the Finnish equivalent of the Swedish Avpixlat, highlighted the video.

The post has been commented on by a large number of people including several who have sent death threats to the man in the video.

The refugees in the video come from Iraq and live in an asylum center Kangasala which is run by the Finnish Red Cross. According to the asylum center’s director Katja Ala Kapeen the man in the video regrets his actions.

It was wrong and foolish. The man is sorry for what happened, he did not want to offend anyone, she told the local newspaper Kangasalan Sanomat.

The asylum center in Kangasala received media attention at the end of October by the Finnish national media when the refugees had organized a food protest because they weren’t being served Arabic cuisine.

They sometimes feel that Finnish food is poor as they are accustomed Iraqi food in their homeland, said the Manager Ala Kapeen to the Finnish government and media company YLE in connection with the protest.

Flemming Rose, editor of Jyllands-Posten, discusses freedom of speech in Finland in front of a live audience and TV cameras

This is the man and the paper that sponsored the cartoon contest about drawing images muslims don’t like to demonstrate a point about how islam has impacted freedom of speech in the West. This experiment succeeded beyond his wildest dreams of course. In this lecture he doesn’t discuss the cartoon crisis per se and more the general concept of freedom of speech. Personally I think he still misses the central point of it, but its a very good speech and worth the time as is the Q&A afterwards.

Ex Estonian FM calls it an invasion during speech in Finland

Ken at Tundra Tabloids who grabbed this segment from a Live feed off of Youtube tells me that a huge group of far left wing extremists were trying to block all speakers by hours -long banging of the same tattoo on the usual hippie drums. They did manage to make it impossible to hear the words of one famous Finnish politician who has faced great adversity for his courage to speak the truth about islam and its effects on Europe.

FINNISH SWIM HALL TURNS MOTHER AND 3YR. OLD SON AWAY DURING ‘WOMEN ONLY SWIM SESSION’

Swim hall multiculturalism.

This is about a Finnish municipal funded swim hall, on the behalf of its Muslim immigrant female clients, objecting to even a male toddler from participating in the swim session. Forget about it being in Finland any longer, since Finnish norms are no longer valid. If you can’t accept Finnish norms and cultural values, skip swimming with people.

3-year-old boy was turned away from indoor swimming pool

– the cause was that it was a women’s swim session

Joensuu Rantakylän swimming pool organized a women’s swim session which gave rise to confusion about older infants. A Joensuu mother recently tried to swim in the women’s swim session with her three-year-old son, but were turned away by the ticket agent. The argument was that only women were allowed inside.

Joensuu Rantakylän swimming pool has organized women’s swim sessions for over a year. For two hours on Saturday mornings the arranged session has only women in the swimming pool and gym.

– It is related to the integration of immigrants and has been well received. Two hours weekly 50 to 70 year old customers come to the session, which is almost half of the day’s total number of visitors, says the city of Joensuu, Department Manager Pentti Ryhänen.

Not eve a little boy allowed inside

The popular interactions, however, also raised eyebrows. Others felt that the municipality should not distinguish between genders in the indoor swimming pool. The Joensuu mother was confused about the session’s strict gender division in an attempt to enter with her three-year-old son.

– I was thinking that it shouldn’t matter, because he is such a small boy. The ticket agent, however, asked whether the child was a boy or a girl and then turned us away. Of course I was upset over the situation, the mother says.

“The windows are not blocked”

Department Head Pentti Ryhänen said negative feedback from the sessions are seldom heard. Ryhänen, also made it clear that boys are not included in the sessions, even if it’s a young child.

– Parents can become interactive with their baby boys freely at other times, Ryhänen says.

Women’s swim sessions according to Ryhänen have brought the city positive feedback from immigrants. Developmentalideas have been suggested.

– One suggestion was that the swimming pool windows should be covered during the period of the session, so that no one can look inside. That’s something we’re not going to do, Ryhänen said.

FINN DRIVES OFF ROMA MUSICIAN PANHANDLERS FROM CORNER OF HELSINKI RAILWAY STATION WITH ‘FINNISH ALTERNATIVE’ SIGN

Eh, I think that they chose to leave in order to avert a major PR problem if they ganged up on the man.

Strange beggar episode in the center of Helsinki: “Domestic option” threw musicians

IltaSanomat: HELSINKI, FINLAND on Friday afternoon, at 3:00 pm, a special beggars turf battle took place at the corner of the Helsinki Railway station. The opponents were one Finnish man and ten from eastern Europe.

Roma from Eastern Europe frequently come to play music near a taxi stand at the train station.

On Friday, their place was taken by a young Finnish man, who was accompanied by a large dog. He sat on the ground, and the cup was outstretched.

The man was carrying a cardboard sign that read ‘The domestic option’. He declared at the same time his own social message about task force effectiveness.

The Roma musicians wondered about the man behind the issue. In the end there were a dozen in the consultation. The accordions, however, remained under their arms.

The Roma marveled and laughed a little over the Finnish man’s taking over the block. After some consultation, they chose to leave the place. There was no fight over the turf.

The Finnish man was left begging in the sunny autumn weather.

MUSLIMS IN FINLAND DEMANDING 4 EXCLUSIVE PAID PUBLIC HOLIDAYS JUST FOR THEMSELVES

More demands, more whining, more feet stomping.

This is the heart of multiculturalism, there’s no assimilation, just competition, and with Islam, eventual destruction of the host culture as the historical record shows. You only have to look at once Christian Egypt (and the Levant and Maghreb) to see how host cultures were obliterated.

crybaby

Finnish Jews have lived in Finland for over 120 years as a thriving community, and yet not once have they ever demanded official religious paid holidays from the Finnish state, let alone exclusively for themselves. Islam does not aim to co-exist, but to rule (eventually).

NOTE: Anas Hajjar is the same imam who stated that non-Muslims cannot teach Muslims on religious issues in Finnish schools (religion is taught in Finnish public schools), and condemned Geert Wilders documentary Fitna as being provocative.

ANAS HAJJAR2

Holidays in accordance with the religion of Islam would apply only to Muslims.

IltaSanomat: Kotimaa24 reported on Monday that the Finnish Muslims want four free days in connection to two important festivals.

The imam of the Islamic Society of Finland and the Finnish Islamic Council chairman Anas Hajjar hopes that this matter could be decided in order to be binding.

– The agreement should be permanent, in that it doesn’t in any way have to be decided on a yearly basis, Hajjar says to Kotimaa24.

Would apply only to Muslims

The free days hoped for by the Muslims to celebrate would be a one-day celebration of the end of Ramadan (Eid al-Fitr) and the three-day pilgrimage related to the sacrifice celebration of (Eid al-Adha).

Hajjar says that these should be public holidays, but would apply only to Muslims.

Hajjar hopes that this matter could be done as with similar decisions for church holidays.

– We should find out if legislation is needed or that collective bargaining would suffice.

Church holidays during the week are done in accordance with church law.

FINLAND: BAG LUNCHES FOR RAMADAN

When simply being grateful for safety and three squares a day in a refugee facility is too much to ask for.

SCREAMING MUSTARD ALERT2

If they value their holy month (as Vlad says) -of skipping lunch and blowing things up- more than the regular routine at the refugee center, then they’re more than free to return to the Muslim state from which they fled to observe Ramadan there. This is all about supremacy, they demand and the dhimmis dutifully jump to their feet to comply.

NOTE: Check out how the state journalist (an oxymoron) qualifies Ramadan as ”the holy month”, like it’s deemed holy by non-Muslims as well. I guess in this case it is, by the journalist and his gate keepers.

Bag lunches for Ramadan

The holy month of Ramadan began earlier this week for devout Muslims worldwide. In Finland, the religious observance involving daytime fasting has caused a flap over meal times at a major refugee accommodation centre. Bag lunches may be the answer to the clash between religion and routine.

During the holy month of Ramadan Muslims abstain from eating during the daytime and only break their fast at night. The exceptional nighttime meal ritual has in the past disrupted meal schedules at the Metsälä refugee reception centre in Helsinki.

Residents and officials at the Metsälä reception centre have agreed to resort to packed lunches to solve the dilemma.

“This idea of a bag lunch was suggested as a compromise by one Muslim association. Usually we can only serve fruit in the dormitories,” said Pekka Nuutinen, director of the Metsälä reception centre.

Finnish Interior Minister Päivi Räsänen said that Muslims observing the Ramadan fast should also have access to proper meals.

Räsänen said that evening meals should be provided, but safely and economically. Currently immigration officials have no clear guidelines for operating in what are still unusual circumstances in Finland.

Veikko Pyykkönen, chief inspector with the Finnish Immigration Service, Migri, said that authorities will cooperate with the reception centres, and other experts during this Ramadan to see how the late meals should be managed.

“The idea is to have guidelines ready for the next Ramadan,” he explained.

SIKH IN FINLAND FORCES BUS COMPANY TO ADHERE TO HIS RELIGIOUS BELIEFS, HE GETS TO WEAR HIS TURBAN

And of course the brainless ombudsman for minorities applauds the decision.

biaudet

My opinion: It’s a private company’s affair, they have a dress code, no one is forcing the man to be a bus driver for that company, he can chose a new work place or follow company rules. Following religious requirements are a duty of the believer, not of the non-believer. The Finnish bus company Veolia, are now subscribing to Sikh beliefs.

IMMIGRANTS FEATURING HIGH IN FINNISH RAPE STATISTICS

I don’t evaluate the data, I just report it.

Vasarahammer informs that someone over at the Finnish chat forum, Hommaforum, someone has compiled the latest figure in the newly released rape statistics for Finland. The report says nine variants of the spelling of Mohamed were spotted, but I only counted eight. That said, they are featured in these statistics greater than their demographics.

Of the 172 convicted, foreigners / or with foreign background 60, or 35% (in 2011 the corresponding figures 121/48/40). Two had an address in Germany. One was convicted from Sweden, Denmark, Estonia and Russia.

16 people were convicted of aggravated rape, foreign / backgrounds 6 people, or 38% (in 2011 the corresponding figures 15.03.20).

99 people were convicted of rape with foreign / backgrounds 34 people, or 34% (2011 figures correspond to 69/31/45).

38 people were convicted of coercion into sexual intercourse, foreign / backgrounds 10 people, or 26% (in 2011 the corresponding figures 23.09.39).

Optulan researcher Lappi-Seppälä would probably think that the over-representation of these are just a coincidence, this time, too.

In comprising the list, I could not help noticing that nine of the convicted  were named Muhammad, or some variant of it. In contrast, for example, Mikko, Heikki, Jussi, Tero and Antti appeared each, 3 times. Well, I guess, but Muhammad is such a common name in Finland. Or this one is but a coincidence.

Finnish female ministers cover up for Saudi Arabia missions

The Finnish government has acquired loose black robes, or abayas, for ministers and female officials to wear during visits to Saudi Arabia. The garb was purportedly purchased to foster good relationships and show respect for Saudi culture.

Finland is strengthening its ties to Saudi Arabia, despite large differences in the culture of the two nations, especially those experienced by women travellers.

Only the face, palms of the hands and feet are visible when a woman wears the abaya in accordance with Saudi custom. Director of the Middle Eastern and North African unit of the Foreign Ministry, Helena Tuuri, says that the abayas have been provided to aid good relations. According to her, Finnish women need not over up at all times, but can use the traditional Muslim women’s clothing as the situation dictates.

ULTRA-NATIONALIST SOCIALISTS CRASH FAR-LEFTIST RADICAL’S BOOK EVENT IN JYVÄSKYLÄ FINLAND, ONE PERSON STABBED

THE SOCIALIST YANG-YANGS GO AT IT AGAIN.

EVIL YIN AND YANG

The violence meted out by these extremists is contemptible and to be roundly condemned. What’s also interesting is that the one of the speakers/organizers of the book event, Li Andersson, spokesman for the Vasemmistonuoret (The Left Youth league) was seen on Finnish television debate program A2, refusing to denounce traditional Left-wing violence as she does with ultra-nationalist socialist violence, ”it’s different from ”right-wing extremism” (8:25 mark in Finnish).

NOTE: Authors of the book, The Finnish Far-Right, Dan Laaksonen and Mikael Brunila, are radical Leftists and anti-Israel activists.

Knifing at event dealing with right-wing extremism

One person was injured Wednesday evening in a knifing that took place in the Jyväskylä city library where a presentation was underway of a new book about the extreme right in Finland.

There was no information immediately available on the extent of injuries suffered, but according to eyewitnesses, the person wounded was part of the event’s security personnel, walked to an ambulance called to the scene.

A group of young men describing themselves as “patriots” started a fight after being refused entrance to a discussion event dealing with the Finnish extreme right. Bottles were also used as weapons in the fray.

Eyewitnesses say that the perpetrators fled the scene. Police are investigating the incident as aggravated assault.

The event in the city library was organized in connection with a presentation of the bookÄärioikeisto Suomessa, (or “The Finnish Far-Right”) by Mikael Brunilan and Dan Koivulaakso.

FINNISH DIESEL ENGINE MANUFACTURER WÄRTSILÄ CAUGHT INDIRECTLY SELLING ENGINES TO IRAN……..

The NGO, United Against a Nuclear Iran (UANI), called upon the Finnish diesel engine manufacturer, Wärstilä, to end its business practices with China that’s funneling the engines to Iranian tanker ships being built in its ship yards.

The Tundra Tabloids calls upon the Finnish business watch group, Finnwatch, to apply the same equal time and effort in highlighting Wärsilä’s sanction breaking that the UN has placed upon the Iranian regime, as it did (wrongly) against Israeli products produced in the settlements within Judea and Samaria being sold in Finland.

UANI Calls on Finnish Engine Manufacturer Wärtsilä to End Irresponsible Business Activities Related to Iran
Company Supplies Engines and Technology to Shipbuilders Building Oil Tankers for Regime

New York, NY – On Thursday, United Against Nuclear Iran (UANI) called on the Finnish engine manufacturer Wärtsilä Corporation to end its irresponsible business activities related to Iran.

Wärtsilä provides technology and marine diesel engines to Chinese shipbuilders that are currently building oil tankers for the Iranian regime. Wärtsilä reportedly maintains a presence in Iran through its agents and licensees.

Wärtsilä’s activities are of particular concern given that the international community is attempting to isolate Iranian via its shipping industry, and new tankers greatly assist the regime in attempting to overcome such efforts.

UANI is calling on Wärtsilä to completely end all business related to Iran, and investigate and end any support for the construction of new oil tankers to be used by the regime.

In a letter to Wärtsilä President & CEO, Björn Rosengren, UANI CEO, Ambassador Mark D. Wallace, wrote:

Earlier this year, UANI launched its Shipping Campaign to compel international shippers, classification societies, P&I clubs and governments worldwide to cease their [Iran] business. … In response to UANI’s campaign, members of the International Association of Classification Societies … ceased their classification of Iranian vessels.

****

Despite these positive developments, a few irresponsible entities continue to provide valuable expertise, services and investment to the Iranian regime. For example, Wärtsilä has reportedly supplied engines for IRISL vessels, and stated that it maintains an agent in Iran to handle future business with power plant and shipbuilding clients. Moreover, Wärtsilä is apparently involved in the construction of 12 new Very Large Crude Carriers (“VLCCs”) for the NITC. The vessels, built in shipyards owned by the China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation (“CSIC”) and the China State Shipbuilding Corporation (“CSSC”), will expand the NITC’s carriage and storage capacity by up to 24 million barrels. Through license agreements and joint ventures, Wärtsilä supplies CSIC and CSSC with parts and technology, such as Wärtsilä RT-flex50, RT-flex60C and RT-flex82C engines, to produce the low-speed marine diesel engines required to power vessels such as Iran’s new VLCCs. The Iranian regime’s seaborne export capacity is currently limited by restrictions on the provision of technical expertise and tanker replacement parts to Iran, as well as by the age of the vessels in the NITC’s fleet. Wärtsilä’s work with the CSIC and CSSC supports the construction of VLCCs for the NITC fleet and will greatly assist the regime in overcoming such limitations. Put simply, Wärtsilä is assisting the Iranian regime’s development of its most lucrative economic sector, the revenues from which go directly to fund the regime’s nefarious activities, including its nuclear program.

****

In addition, Wärtsilä’s business in Iran includes a partnership with the Iran Heavy Diesel Engine Mfg Co. (“DESA”), a regime-controlled entity that provides services to such sanctioned entities as the Iran Shipbuilding & Offshore Industries Complex (“ISOICO”), Iran Marine Industrial Company (“SADRA”), and the National Iranian Drilling Company (“NIDC”). DESA and its sanctioned clients are owned or controlled by the Industrial Development and Renovation Organization of Iran (“IDRO”), an arm of the Iranian regime controlled by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (“IRGC”) and blacklisted by the U.S., UK and EU for its activities in a wide range of nuclear and military industries. In light of its connection to IDRO, Wärtsilä’s apparent partnership with DESA is clearly unacceptable.

UANI has highlighted the shipping industry as an area where the international community can further pressure Iran. In a May 17 Wall Street Journal Op-Ed, six UANI board members wrote that “the world must deny Iran’s access to international shipping, a move that would severely affect the regime given its dependence on global trade and seaborne crude oil exports.”

All thirteen of the world’s major shipping services have stopped certifying Iranian vessels following UANI’s campaign, including Bureau VeritasGermanischer Lloyd, the Russian Maritime Register of ShippingKorean Register of ShippingChina Classification Society, and ClassNK. UANI has also announced that BarbadosHong KongMoldova and Mongolia have stopped their reflagging of Iranian vessels.

UANI has requested a reply from Wärtsilä by December 21, 2012
