Eric Brazau, 9 months in Jail, Ezra Levant and freedom of speech.
I watched Ezra’s video again and added subtitles to it for a few reasons, not the least of which is there is a lot of fast talking and talking over each other, as well as it created a text file that people who speak other languages may want to use should they feel this is important enough to translate and title in other languages.
The Baron over at Gates has done some research, and Steve V was kind enough to send in this video and additional material as well. The video below seems to be the thing that got Mr. Brazau in trouble.
Steve suggests that it could have been the woman at 7 minutes in who took Mr. Brazau out of context, quite possibly deliberately, in order to get him arrested. I wouldn’t doubt it only because if there is one thing Canada sells at a steep discount, its surplus sanctimony.
However, in all fairness, Mr. Brazau seems to have a fairly colorful history
This does not however, nor should it have any bearing on his trial and consequences for this event. But one cannot but help to wonder if it did anyway.

Don Laird has sent in this screen grab of info on the school which has made the news and we posted about here earlier. As schools are tax payer supported in Canada, I suppose tax payers have a natural right to speak about procedure at these schools even if it means speaking in favor of Canadian culture, values and history. Please look for a comment from Don with additional links and info shortly under this post.

Once again, for reasons that are less puzzling than they should be, the identity and religion of this one lone family is being protected. Let me make this as clear as I possibly can.
If Jewish people started being beaten up and killed in Vancouver and in every case it was a Nazi doing it, not saying that the person who did it was a Nazi in order to protect the dignity of the Nazi party does not do anyone any good at all. This is a clear case of forced pretending. Insisting that a pretend version of Islam exists which much be protected from its practitioners.

Above, the news story about it which was sanitized to near Orwellian proportions. The only hint was that they objected to Christmas and Easter and to mention of pigs etc.
As Jews have never objected to mentioning pigs nor have any basis in scripture for doing so, we can rule out a Jewish family with some degree of confidence. And for a few hundred other reasons as well.

Yesterday in the first multi post of the day I posted a story at item 3 where I was not clear enough on what the issue actually was. So I am going to try and lay it out a little better here.
On March 24 (give or take 24 hours) A Canadian TV station broadcast a very specific story about how a Saudi man attempted to choke his daughter for marrying a non-muslim man in an honour crime, as they call it.
On March 26, CTV broadcast the results of a brief trial in which the father was expelled from Canada for his actions but the story was very fundamentally changed. Also the first video, which I had downloaded, had been deleted from YT leaving the usual message of:
“This video was removed by the user”
Now often YT will remove a video and leave that message as I recall, but either way, the original story had been sanitized from the net and there is pretty much no history of it that can be found on the original channel’s webpage either, although it does say something about religion.

Very important questions need to be asked here and answered.

The recent trial-with-no-names of ‘youths’ convicted of ‘grooming’ (tricking) young girls into meeting strangers then drugging or otherwise forcing them into selling sexual services to older men and the cash going straight to the unnamed racketeers.
There may be just a hint though, in this video news report taken in the area of the homes where the perps live:

OTTAWA — An Ottawa man has been charged with human trafficking after a number of investigations conducted by York Regional Police.
According to an announcement Wednesday designed to highlight the issue of the alleged exploitation of young women and girls, Yasin Mohamed, 25, of Ottawa was arrested along with two other men in Newmarket, Ont., said Det. Sgt. Peter Casey. All three were charged with human trafficking or other related offences, said Casey, who oversees a unit that arrested nine people this year after months of investigations.

Mohamed Wehelie, 28, is the only suspected john among the 10 arrested. But Casey said the Toronto man faces charges for a violent sex attack in a hotel room not for soliciting a prostitute.
The other two are suspected pimps accused of human trafficking.
Anthony “Flex” Putzu, 21, of Brampton, allegedly forced a 16-year-old girl and a 19-year-old woman into the sex trade.
And Lucas “Dimitri” Gabrys, 24, of London, allegedly forced a 21-year-old woman into prostitution.
Many questions about the Toronto Sun case. The perps do not have muslim names other than the one customer. But the media has a habit of using peoples original names to protect a group they may have joined. Perhaps we shall know more if some journalist looks into it properly.
One thing is for absolute certain. We shall start to see a lot more of these cases in Canada, that is, if our media is as free as even the hobbled British media is.
There was a couple of articles a couple of months ago hinting about an upcoming report on British child forced prostitution gangs which, in a rational world, would rock the establishment to its very core. The stuff that Mary Shelley’s famous “pitchforks and torches” mobs are inspired by but never actually materialize. This report, it is rumored, may actually be published before the end of the month.
Keep an eye out for that one. Change the name ‘UK’ to Canada, and it will likely be every bit as applicable except for the actual numbers.
UPDATE: CFRA has this story. There are 10 men charged with 120 crimes total.
A total of 10 men were arrested in recent months and are facing more than 120 charges including human trafficking, forcible confinement, sexual assault and living on the avails of a juvenile prostitute.
Where are the other nine names? One has to wonder if this means that the Canadian press is even less free than the British press, that at least once charges have been laid release the names of the perps. If they can name one as they do in this instance, then they can name them all.

It cannot be stressed enough how important it is that Canadians become aware of this issue, the facts around it and the real implications of it. If you know any Canadians, please discuss this with them. This must become common knowledge.

If one adds this story to a number of recent issues of Islam on campus and its demands on Canadian society, and frankly, even if one doesn’t, we see more than a threat to our organizing principles. We see the end of them. For all those young Canadian rebels who hate Harper, or our democracy etc. etc. be careful what you ask for. Like the American scientist who defected to the USSR during the cold war, this is a free country. “You may do what you want. But I doubt h”e, President Reagan is reputed to have said, “will enjoy that right anymore.”
I believe our rebellious anti-Western, Pro Islamic youth may find they have limited their own choices, as well as ours in much the same way.

The prof. is a woman convert to islam who has the dubious distinction of being the first woman president of ISNA.

Being Had for Dinner in Ottawa
Canadians are on their guard against the growing Islamist threat. After all, the last month alone brought the Boston Marathon bombing and arrests in Canada of suspected Iranian-linked al-Qaeda bomb-plotters targeting Canada-US passenger train routes. Add to that repeated stories of Islamist radicalism in Canadian neighborhoods and young Canadian Muslim terrorists abroad.
Against this backdrop, the last thing to be expected at this fraught time would be a public event in Canada’s capital showcasing a radical Islamist, boasting a master of ceremonies from the tax-funded Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, involving a respected mental health foundation, and including the wife of the highest office-holder in the land. Nonetheless, this is what is being planned for Ottawa this weekend.

When CAIR-CAN became the National Council of Canadian Muslims, it presented itself as “a leading voice that enriches Canadian society through Muslim civic engagement and the promotion of human rights.”
This description is misleading given the fact that many of the leaders of the NCCM / CAIR-CAN (past and present) have collaborated with organizations in Canada and abroad whose track records are incompatible with human rights. Although the NCCM / CAIR-CAN Executive Director Ihsaan Gardee claimed in a CBC interview that his organization has never had any relationship with the Washington-based Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR), documents issued by his own organization prove otherwise.
In the context of the NCCM’s recent allegations of defamation against the Prime Minister’s Office for having linked the NCCM to Hamas, discussing the relationship between Washington-based CAIR and the NCCM / CAIR-CAN is all the more relevant given the fact that in a 2009 American case, a federal judge concluded that “The [U.S.] government has produced ample evidence to establish the associations of CAIR, ISNA [and other organizations] with Hamas.”
