Syria Kills 885 Palestinian Arabs that Palestinian Authority, Hamas and Jordan Refuse to Take In

During Israel’s recent Pillar of Defense, Palestinian Arab combatant and non-combatant casualties totaled about 150. Naturally we had to read 40,000 more articles about Gaza being an open-air concentration camp with luxury hotels, mansions and the iPhone 5.

Meanwhile both sides in the Syrian civil war have racked up a score of 885 Palestinian Arabs dead and the world hasn’t paid any attention.

Everyone who claims to care about Palestinian Arabs immediately sprang into action. Including Palestinian leaders.

Hamas told the UNRWA that they will not accept Palestinian Arab refugees from Syria because it will undermine their political case against Israel.

President Abbas of the Palestinian Authority agreed, saying, “It’s better they die in Syria than give up their right of return.”

CAIR: Media Urged to Drop Term ‘Islamist’ in New Year

As many people make promises to themselves to improve their lives or their societies in the coming year, here is a suggested New Year’s resolution for media outlets in America and worldwide: Drop the term “Islamist.”

The Associated Press (AP) added the term to its influential Stylebook in 2012. That entry reads: “Islamist — Supporter of government in accord with the laws of Islam. Those who view the Quran as a political model encompass a wide range of Muslims, from mainstream politicians to militants known as jihadi.”

The AP says it sought input from Arabic-speaking experts and hoped to provide a neutral perspective by emphasizing the “wide range” of religious views encompassed in the term.

Donald Kaul retired earlier this year. Now he has decided to return to writing occasional opinion columns for OtherWords.org. The Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in Newtown, Conn. brought out all his ugliness.

In a column that appeared after the shooting with the headline “Kaul: Nation needs a new agenda on guns,” he proposed a new liberal agenda: repeal the Second Amendment, declare the NRA a terrorist organization and make membership illegal, and well, make violent threats to Republican leaders and NRA members. The Des Moines Register published this junk on December 29.

Newspaper who outed legal gun owners hires armed guards to defend itself from angry victims of its stunt.

And I am 100% certain that the newspaper has justified this to itself to avoid any irony or embarrassment. After all, totalitarian leftists are always justified in using the exact measures they deny to the rest of the population.

The Journal News of West Nyack, N.Y., has hired armed security guards to defend its offices after receiving a torrent of phone calls and emails responding to the paper’s publication of the names and addresses of area residents with pistol permits.

RGA Investigations, a private security company, “is doing private security at on location at the Journal News as a result of the negative response to the article,” according to a police report first obtained by the Rockland County Times (Nanuet, N.Y.) and shared with POLITICO. The guards “are armed and will be on site during business hours through at least January 2, 2013.”

Hypocrisy: UN adopts 9 resolutions on Palestinians & Golan, yet silent on Syrian massacre of Palestinians

U.N. WATCH:

See list of today’s resolutions below

GENEVA, December 18 – The U.N. General Assembly today adopted nine resolutions on Palestinian rights and the Golan, sharply criticizing Israel yet making no mention of Sunday’s massacre of Palestinians by Syrian warplanes firing missiles into a mosque in a Palestinian refugee camp near Damascus. Nor did the texts mention the tens of thousands of Palestinians who continue to flee the camp.

By the end of this week, the current 2012 UNGA session will have adopted 22 country-specific resolutions on Israel – and only four on the rest of the world combined, one each for Syria, Iran, North Korea and Burma, noted UN Watch.

Today’s resolutions criticized Israel for “the continuing systematic violation of the human rights of the Palestinian people,” and focused on “the extremely difficult socioeconomic conditions being faced by the Palestine refugees in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem.”

One resolution condemned Israel for holding on to the Golan Heights, demanding Israel hand the land and its people to Syria.

Document vindicates Army officer’s teaching on Islam

H/T EDL Buck

One News Now:

A law firm that defends and promotes Christian heritage and moral values says it has obtained a document that vindicates an 18-year veteran Army officer who is being disciplined for telling the truth about Islam.

The Thomas More Law Center says it has obtained more evidence to prove its contention that the Pentagon is taking its marching orders from Islamic groups in taking extreme disciplinary action against Lt. Col. Matthew Dooley, a 1994 graduate of the United States Military Academy.

The highly decorated armor officer was excoriated and relieved of a teaching assignment because he discussed negative aspects of Islam in an elective course entitled “Perspectives on Islam and Islamic Radicalism” at the Joint Services Staff College.

Richard Thompson, president and chief counsel of the Thomas More Law Center, says they have obtained an official communication that vindicates their client.

1. Update from Tommy Robinson in prison.

This is pretty depressing. I really do not want to believe the UK keeps political prisoners and so dishonestly at that. At least the USSR was pretty up front about it.

2. Japan scrambled fighter jets on Thursday after a Chinese government plane entered for the first time what Japan considers its airspace over disputed islets in the East China Sea… “Despite our repeated warnings, Chinese government ships have entered our territorial waters for three days in an row,” Japanese Chief Cabinet Secretary Osama Fujimura told reporters.

3.  Renovations in Amsterdam apartments – nicknamed “halal homes” in the press – have sparked a political row in the Netherlands.

About 180 apartments in Amsterdam have been given special makeovers which suit the wishes of Muslim residents. Features include individual taps that can be used for ritual cleansing before prayers and sliding doors to keep men and women apart.

4.  Syrian refugees get help from Swedish churches. Hundreds of thousands of people are fleeing Syria and Sweden is the fave destination.

5. Nonie Darwish on what Egyptians are afraid to know

The problem with Egypt and many other Islamic nations is that they are ignorant of what they are demanding, and are left ignorant by their own media and educational system. By now it seems apparent that Egyptians do not even want to learn the truth about Sharia, in case they might reject it — an act that would turn them into apostates, eligible for death.

6. Syrian opposition urges U.S. review of al-Nusra blacklisting

(Reuters) – The leader of Syria’s opposition coalition urged the United States on Wednesday to review its decision to designate the militant Islamist Jabhat al-Nusra as a terrorist group, saying religion was a legitimate motive for Syrian rebels.

7. Press TV does propaganda piece accusing Canada of stealing children from Amer-Indian families without bothering to look at the very real conditions in the homes where these children may have been taken. I might add, to the best of my knowledge, Amer-Indian women do not cover their faces in that classically Arabian fashion as a rule. I wonder what prompted that?

8. No Shots Fired: State Dept Benghazi Security Force Unarmed

9. Somali community uses riots, thuggery and intimidation as way to show that they should be allowed more public funds to live off of.

Remember the riots requiring large police presence and pepper spray when Somalis rioted at a meeting for applying for subsidized housing? Well they are now claiming this shows how they should all be given nice homes to live on that other people have to pay for. I think the Jews have a word for this. Starts with a Ch…

10. Christina Hoff Somers, a psychologist, author and personal hero of mine, discusses Sweden’s attempt to obliterate the facts of human sexual dichotomy. In this article she explains why it won’t work. Next step of course will be the Swedes will try and make boys feel really bad if they don’t act like girls. Because feeling bad is quite OK of course for commies when people do not go with the prescribed narrative. It is to be avoided for all other reasons of course.

School reverses gingerbread man ban

A 10-year-old was told he could not dress up as a gingerbread man at his school’s traditional Lucia celebration as all references to the cookie had been banned in order to avoid offence.

News about the ban on gingerbread men, gingerbread cookies and gingerbread-themed songs at the school in Laxå in central Sweden spread like wildfire on social media.

Now it looks like the school has backtracked, with the municipality suggesting it was probably a misunderstanding.

According to the local Nerikes Allehanda (NA) newspaper, 10-year-old Mio Simic was told by a teacher that he could not be a gingerbread man in his school’s annual Lucia celebration, a tradition that rivals Christmas in terms of the significance Swedes place on the holiday. It is celebrated in honour of the Catholic Saint Lucia on December 13th.

Schools mark the occasion with a morning procession where girls usually dress up as Lucia, donning white robes and wreaths of candles, while boys dress up as gingerbread men (pepparkaksgubbar), star boys (stjärngossar) or gnomes (tomtar).

Syria, WMD’s Obama and general hypocrisy

I wonder if the same people who were red faced with anger and hatred at Bush for launching a war on Iraq because of Saddam’s well documented use of, and threats of WMD’s will feel the same or act the same with Obama’s identical threat against Syria.

Note to angry leftists: The WMD’s that Syria likely has, almost certainly came from Iraq. This blog has published pictures of convoys of Russian trucks moving the goods for Hussein.
