Public lavatories to become “gender neutral”

Yes. I agree that we should ignore the 99.995% of the public’s culture, history, feelings, sense of propriety and modus operandi in order to slightly and nearly imperceptibly make the 00.005% of the population who might want this, and then again might not, feel ever so slightly better. Telegraph:

A city council has scrapped male and female public lavatories in favour of “gender neutral” facilities so as not to alienate the transgender community.

A public lavatory block is to become “gender neutral”

5:31PM GMT 17 Feb 2013

The move was described as “political correctness gone barmy” by opponents who warned that the vast majority would prefer to use single sex loos.

Brighton and Hove City Council disclosed in emails that it wished to promote the term “gender neutral” and build facilities which are open to all, regardless if sex.

They believe such facilities will be more accessible for those who do not identify with the male-female binery.

Lars Hedegaard and the Enemies of Truthfulness

Andrew Bostom:

Last week I noted how Michael Coren of Canada’s Sun TV was far bolder than any of his US television network colleagues in dealing with Islam’s threat to Western free speech, epitomized by Coren’s interview of Danish journalist and historian Lars Hedegaard, who survived an assassination attempt by a likely Muslim assailant, still at large. No such interview with public airing on television was conducted by any major US television network-ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox News, CNN-not even the self-proclaimed “alternative” to “stultifying political correctness,”  and “champion” of free speech, The Blaze TV.

Emphasizing, yet again, the ongoing, complete dereliction of duty of not only the mainstream legacy media, but so-called conservative outlets such as Fox News and The Blaze, Michael Coren opened his follow-up interview  of Lars Hedegaard, yesterday (2/15/13), with this observation:

A wonderful example of how stupid and deceitful political correctness is.

I posted this video a few minutes ago in the article about the high-school fight between two groups of people from the past 48 hours. But I wanted to post it again because I just realized while listening to the interview of one of the students, he referred to the Somali students as “Somali Americans” although its quite likely that they are not Americans and that the issue is their Islamic culture, and, they are all to a person from Africa. Then he referred to the black-American students as “African American” Although I would wager the family farm not a man of them has ever been to Africa even on holiday and probably not any one of their immediate ancestors as well.

So somehow, the Africans became Somali Americans, while the Americans became African. This, is political correctness at its finest. Preposterous, deceitful, pernicious and farcical.

Expert on free expression: ”Nothing but an outright lie”

The February 5th assassination attempt on Lars Hedegaard, editor-in-chief of Dispatch International, was reported all over the world. There was a remarkable difference, however, between the way in which the Swedish media and international media handled the news. While international media systematically called Hedegaard “an Islam-critic”, or even “prominent Islam-critic”, Swedish media chose just as systematically to use the loaded term “enemy of Islam”.

Several Swedish newspapers also chose to publish various versions of the story from Swedish national news agency TT, which contained this wording:

”Lars Hedegaard, once convicted for racism, has been subject to an assassination attempt. An unknown man reportedly shot at Hedegaard outside his Copenhagen home.

”The author Hedegaard is one of the few Danes who is a certified racist, as he some years ago was fined by a High Court for having stated in a blog interview that Muslim fathers rape their children. He was later acquitted by the Supreme Court.”

The truth is that no conviction of Lars Hedegaard was upheld. The charges under to the Danish “racism clause” were rejected without dissent by the Supreme Court, which thus invalidated the High Court conviction.

Norwegian media actually covers story on Islamic antisemitism!

From The Observer:

“This is a very interesting clip from NRK about the Palestinian demonization of the Jews and the massive Norwegian financial aid to the Palestinian authorities, of which some is used to fund this hatred.”

This also reveals the critical Islamic roots of the conflict above and beyond the alleged geopolitical reasons for it.

Mark Steyn on Today’s Events in Copenhagen

From Gates of Vienna:

Below are excerpts from Mark Steyn’s take on the assassination attempt against Lars Hedegaard:

I’ve written previously about my friend Lars Hedegaard, head of the Danish Free Press Society, in a series of posts about his outrageous show trial headed “Lars Man Standing”. I meant the term metaphorically. Today, it got a little more literal. This morning, Lars survived an assassination attempt in Copenhagen.

Incidentally, the slapdash hack at the Associated Press can’t even get the basic facts right, reporting that Lars was “fined 5,000 kroner ($1,000) in 2011 for making a series of insulting and degrading statements about Muslims,” but apparently unaware that last year the Danish Supreme Court struck down his conviction 7-0.

The deafening silence of the Left over the ‘Muslim Patrol’

The Commentator

The aftermath of the recent ‘Muslim Patrol’ saga served as another reminder of the British Left’s cherry-picking approach to morality

by Saleem Khan on 25 January 2013 18:10

There aren’t many times in politics when people of different stripes can unite over an issue, but I’m heartened to see that the Left have joined the chorus of condemnation over the disgusting behavior of the thuggish ‘Muslim Patrol’ gang.

Sorry, hold on. That’s in a parallel universe. Here in our universe, no such thing has happened. As with every other instance of Islamist fanaticism, the Left remains silent. Case in point: I emailed several groups, including Unite Against Fascism (UAF), The Respect Party (RP), and The Socialist Workers Party (SWP), asking for their comments on the incidents. Want to guess how many replied to me?

Zero.

Bear in mind my emails were polite, concise and formal; I don’t go in for name calling and playground-level discourse. Of course, that’s what they would prefer. Had I written a long, ranty email full of insults, they would have responded like a shot. Take that ammunition away from them by asking a simple, sober question, and they can’t respond. As an aside, I also emailed George Galloway asking for his reaction; equally polite. Not that I expected a reply from him either.

How much can we forget in 46 years? Apparently everything.

I had a very interesting chat with the good people at Tundra Tabloids in the wee hours of the morning today about a couple of old episodes of Mission Impossible that they had found. The episodes are from Oct. 1967, Season 2, and are called, “The Slave 1” and “The Slave 2”

These episodes not only show how this is something which festers in Islamic countries but even shows how there are Muslim-only areas in some countries, (they use a fictitious name but it would appear to be Saudi Arabia – Morocco and well, any Muslim country really) and other aspects of Islamic life that we are rediscovering as true and important components of Islamic ‘culture’. So far I haven’t found an embedable version or I would post them here but they are available on Netflix in most nations. If you have Netflix and can’t access them leave a message in the comments and I will suggest how you might. But so far, most of the way into the first episode, it is quite refreshing to see how accurate we were once allowed to be.

Better watch fast. Like the 3 episodes of South Park that deal with Islamic thuggery and blackmail that have been removed from everywhere except arcane bit-torrents, once word gets out that this contains impolite cultural truths, it will likely get pulled as well.

MISSION IMPOSSIBLE MUSTLAND SLAVERY

Kevin Carroll arrested on suspicion of race hate crime

It would be interesting to find even one biologist on planet earth who can explain how Islam is a race, yet you can convert in (and at the risk of your life) out of it. Just one. And that should be enough of a defence anywhere in the world where reason and empiricism still hold sway.

As they do not, Mr. Carroll may be in trouble.

Please click over to Gates of Vienna for a good article and the details of this event.

The joint leader of the English Defence League has been arrested on suspicion of a race hate crime.

Kevin Carroll, the cousin of the recently jailed Stephen Lennon – who founded the EDL – was apprehended on Saturday morning by police officers investigating a message he posted on Facebook that alledgedly incited racial hatred.

Mr Carroll is the joint leader of the British Freedom Party and he recently stood unsuccessfully for election as Bedfordshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner last November.

A spokesman for Bedfordshire Police said: “A 43 year old was arrested on Saturday morning on suspicion of ‘Display threatening abusive/insulting written material with intent/likely to stir up racial hatred’.”

Diana West: The Fox Effect, Pt. 3

This is crucial reading. Diana West busts FOX for being paid shills for Saudi religious and totalitarian interests. Hard to argue with this much evidence.

Pt. 2 is here.

Pt. 1 is here.

Saudi journalist Hazma Kashgari (photo above) has spent almost the entire past year in a Saudi prison — the Islamic Gulag — for tweeting an imaginary conversation with Mohammed. King Abdullah — the man Barack Obama bowed to, the man George W. Bush kissed and held hands with, and the man whose nephew, Prince Talal bin Alwaleed, is a major stock-holder in Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp. — put him there. Kashgari’s story, and treatment of his story at Fox and elsewhere, is below.

From the vault:

1) Blog post, February 14, 2012: “(Prince Talal’s) Fox News AWOL on (Prince Talal’s) Twitter Story”

Have you heard about Hazma Kashgari, the Saudi blogger who tweeted an imaginary conversation with Mohammed, drew so many (tens of thousands) angry comments from his co-religionists and co-kingdomists that he deleted his tweets, fled the country and made for New Zealand to seek asylum but was arrested in Malaysia and extradited back to Saudi A where he now faces charges on the capital crime of “blasphemy”?

Not if you watch fair and balanced Fox News, you haven’t. I have searched the site but cannot find any stories about Kashgari. (You try.)

You don’t suppose the fact that Saudi dictatorship-family-member Talal bin Alwaleed owns the largest non-Murdoch stake in Fox News (7 percent) and a new stake in Twitter (almost 4 percent) has anything to do with that, do you?

The Sunday Times: Theft, and a Hatchet Job Against Gavin Boby

Gates of Vienna:

Regular readers are familiar with Gavin Boby of Law and Freedom. For the past couple of years Gavin has been tireless in his opposition to the construction of new mosques in England through action in local planning councils.

Yesterday The Sunday Times published what it must have believed was a hit piece on Gavin. They accused him of “ideological hatred of Islam” and connected him with “the far-right blog Gates of Vienna”.

I can’t show you the whole piece, because it’s behind a paywall. But here’s a screen shot of the top of the article by Richard Kerbaj and Robin Henry:

Gavin Boby — Sunday Times article

And a brief snip from the opening of the article:

A SELF-STYLED “mosque buster”, who boasts that he has blocked plans for 16 mosques across Britain, was once linked to the far-right English Defence League (EDL) and claims that Islam encourages paedophilia, sexual abuse and pimping.

Gavin Boby, a planning lawyer from Bristol, urges his followers to undermine planning applications for mosques by raising their opposition with councils.

Boby, 48, runs a planning consultancy but under the banner of the Law and Freedom Foundation he also provides a free legal service for those who oppose mosque developments…

More than that I dare not quote, for fear of exceeding “fair use” and violating the copyright of The Sunday Times.

Interestingly enough, the Times itself seems to be a bit slack about copyright.

The photo at the top of the article looked familiar to me. It was obviously taken last July at the Brussels Conference sponsored by ICLA in the European Parliament.

With a little bit of digging, I uncovered the original. It was taken by my good friend Steen of Snaphanen, and posted on his blog last December.

If you look at the full-sized version of the photo, you’ll notice that it is clearly watermarked with “Foto © Snaphanen.dk”.

Trivialities such as copyright are no obstacle to The Sunday Times, however. The editors must have passed the photo on to one of their graphics specialists, who edited out the pesky watermark. Look at the two detail shots below — on the left you’ll see Steen’s original, and on the right is a blowup of the Times’ edited version:

Gavin Boby — Sunday Times theft of Snaphanen photo

You’ll notice that the graphics editor was a bit sloppy, and left in a fragment of Steen’s © to the left of the microphone.

Whoops!

The evidence is clear. Even an amateur like myself can see that the venerable Sunday Times stole that image from Steen.
