I’m a victim too says the widow of 7/7 bomber

MailOnline… The widow of a July 7 suicide bomber yesterday launched a High Court bid to be represented at the victims’ inquest – saying she had also suffered the loss of a loved one in the atrocity.

Hasina Patel, whose husband was terrorist mastermind Mohammad Sidique Khan, is seeking legal aid to challenge the coroner’s decision to exclude Khan’s death from the hearing for the 52 victims of the 2005 London bombings.

If the mother of one’s application is granted, October’s long-awaited inquest could be delayed by months of legal wrangling, to the distress of those who have waited more than five years for it to take place.

Lawyers for Miss Patel claim there should be ‘no material distinction’ between her and the families of those killed, because she ‘equally suffered the loss of a relative’. Continue Reading →

Morocco gives 6 months in jail for eating during Ramadan

In a post from a couple of days ago, there is a screen shot of a McDonald’s with a sign that says they will not serve Muslims during Ramadan. Below, is the video from which that screen shot was taken. Keep in mind, that while this is systemic in as much as the state itself imposes these charges, in Spain, France and other nations where Muslims reach a certain critical mass, sharia law to one degree or another is imposed on the Islamic community by appointed sharia police and somewhat unabashedly. In fact, many Canadian Imams have been quoted as saying they will obey Canadian law so long as it does not conflict with Islamic ones, which of course, they do in pretty much any and every meaningful way.

The Ground Zero Mosque: Which Muslims Is the US Supporting?

From Hudson-NY.org

A civil war is raging in Islam; if the US is to be spared the social problems already shaking much of Europe, its politicians and media must take the more difficult course of engaging those Muslims who want to support democracy and liberty, while sidelining those who do not – or who want democracy so long it allows them to agitate for just a little more sharia, and a few more accommodations to hard-line views.

These thoughts, current after 9/11, seem to have quietly slipped from the debate over Islam and democracy, perhaps because the West’s self-appointed opinion-makers prefer to avoid unpleasant issues and hard truths concerning anything non-Western, and perhaps because this “civil war” is also being waged among those who claim to speak for Western civilization.

Increasingly since 9/11, many have seized on the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq to portray the US as the main obstacle to “peace” (meaning surrender). Nevertheless, if much of the European press, and the left-wing press in the US, repeatedly attempted to portray President George W. Bush as a man lacking subtlety of mind, and the “war on terror” as a war against Muslims or Islam, the president himself was always careful to stress that the enemy were those who rejected democracy in favor of a medieval legal system that regarded women as second class citizens, and included such barbaric practices as stoning. “Islamo-fascism” was articulated as a radical strain of Islam, rejected by “moderates,” who were, and are, regarded as apostates by the Islamo-fascists, and, as such, sentenced to death in absentia. Surprise! Canadian Muslim leaders ‘shocked’ at Ottawa terror cell bust

From The National Post

Canadian Muslim leaders shocked at Ottawa arrests

Megan O’Toole, National Post · Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2010

Canadian Muslim leaders were variously stunned, outraged and wary at news from Ottawa on Wednesday that the RCMP had broken up an alleged terrorism cell with suspected links to al-Qaeda.

Few details were released about the people rounded up in the bust, but they are suspected of planning a terrorist attack in the country, and authorities anticipate more arrests.

“It’s sad to hear such news. It’s disturbing,” said Imam Habeeb Alli, secretary of the Canadian Council of Imams. “It’s very disturbing, and I hope the proper wheels of justice will be set in motion to ensure we get to the bottom of the story.”

The Muslim Canadian Congress expressed “shock” at the developments, but also commended RCMP for the operation. Continue Reading →

Update; Ottawa terrorism arrests

From the Ottawa Citizen: (photos there as well)

Two arrested in Ottawa after multiple raids in al Qaeda terror probe

OTTAWA — Police in Ottawa have arrested two men in connection with an alleged al-Qaeda-related terrorism plot, and initiated the search of a second property.

Police officers entered an apartment in a building at 220 Woodridge Cres. in the city’s Bayshore area. The person registered as living in apartment 702 is believed to be named Ahmed Ehsan. Little else is known about him at this time.

There were also indications that further police searches were taking place including across the Ottawa River in Gatineau.

The arrests occurred Wednesday at a house at 91 Esterlawn Pvt., near the intersection of Woodroffe and Carling avenues. Officers from the RCMP and Ottawa police raided the house at about 7 a.m.

The RCMP said in a press release that they were executing a number of search warrants and additional arrests are expected.

Anthony Seaboyer, head of the proliferation security research group at Queen’s University’s Centre for International Relations, called the arrests “a great success” for Canadian anti-terrorism forces.

“It shows that the RCMP, Ottawa police and CSIS can actually co-operate effectively,” Seaboyer said.

Given the scathing criticism of how security authorities handled the Air India bombing, “this is a good sign,” he said.

“Canada is moving more and more away from being a safe haven for terrorist organizations.”

On the other hand, Seaboyer said, “it shows what’s now going on out there. We have now found one group, but what else is out there?”

It’s impossible to know how many terrorism cells are active in Canada, Seaboyer said, but those arrested Wednesday are “definitely not the only group out there, that’s for sure.” Continue Reading →

Islam: the Religion of Peace Village in suburban Toronto

While this story is 3 years old and all things considered, it probably has more relevance today.

Giving Peace a chance in Muslim suburbia

VAUGHAN -Before dawn in this sprawl north of Toronto, McDonald’s is locked and Tim Hortons is empty. The fake mountain of Canada’s Wonderland, the amusement park, peeks from the gloom. Across the street looms the white minaret of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at mosque.

By National Post, October 6, 2007.

A speaker in the parking lot crackles and broadcasts the Arabic call to prayer. Suddenly, silent life fills the dark streets. Men dressed in the long white shalwar camise of their native Pakistan and women in head scarfs emerge from their brick homes.

The only sound is the squeak of hundreds of soles on the asphalt. At the mosque, couples separate: women to their basement prayer hall, men headed upstairs. Before sunrise on this day of Ramadan, they are coming to pray.

Welcome to Peace Village, Canada’s first Islamic subdivision, where all 260 homes belong to members the Ahmadiyya sect, who flooded to Canada in the 1980s after persecution in Pakistan. It looks ordinary, with basketball nets and minivans in the driveways, until you notice the street signs: Mahmood Crescent, Ahmadiyya Avenue and Noor-Ud-Din Court.

“There is nothing like this in North America,” boasts Naseer Ahmad, a real estate agent from Pakistan who dreamed up this community of Islamic dream homes (including oak stairs and central air conditioning) on the edge of Toronto. “You have a mosque, and people are walking to enjoy their faith.”

The houses, with some modifications, such as increased ventilation (for spicy food) and separate living rooms for women and men, are so successful that, six years after Peace Village opened, Mr. Ahmad plans to double the mosque’s size and is now selling 55 townhomes, 1,700 square feet each, for around $350,000 with a garage and a yard, as “Peace Village Phase II.” Continue Reading →

McDonalds doesn’t serve Mustard at Ramadan

Now, it is as you see it below, from a McDonalds in Morocco. My bet is within 5 years, McDonald’s in some areas will not be allowed to be open at all during daylight during Ramadamadingdong. Or if they are, they will be burned down or attacked and have no recourse to the state for protection. This is the trend in the western world today. Where Western civilization is still legal at all, there is no defence of it. Where it isn’t, it isn’t.

"To our customers. During the ramadan period, only non muslim children and adults will be served”

The picture above is a screen capture from a short film about how some Muslims are refusing to fast during Ramadan. The state is considering a 1 to 6 month JAIL SENTENCE for anyone publicly breaking the fast. Another data point for those who say Islam is not a religion.

I hope to have the video here tonight on this.

9/11 Mosque Imam Wrote Much of the Guts of Obama’s Historic Cairo Speech!

This explains a lot…

From Web Today

Image WEBTODAY EXCLUSIVE (August 24, 2010)– QUESTION: Who really was speaking on that historic day of June 4th 2009 in Cairo, Egypt? President Obama or the Imam of the proposed Ground Zero Mosque, Feisal Abdul Rauf?

ANSWER: Feisal Abdul Rauf!

Link to audio of Rauf's admission

The Shoebat Foundation obtained this shocking audio recording of Rauf’s own voice boasting in Arabic that Obama’s historic Cairo speech was provided by the Imam and the Cordova Initiative in what the Imam called “The Blue Print” which he said was the solution to the Islamic-American divide. Rauf claimed Chapter 6 of the Imam’s work engineered by the Cordova Initiative was the construct for the entire speech:

“This is an example of the impact of our work in a positive way to be used by the President.”

“The blue print,” Rauf elaborated, included everything from U.S. policy to Jewish and Christian relations with Muslims.

For an Imam in New York to be involved in the orchestrating U.S. foreign policy is quite the claim. In the recording dated February 5th, 2010 Rauf boasted that:

“We have to look at it [as] how to engineer solutions. At the Cordova Initiative we think of ourselves as an engineering shop. Yes. We have an analytical approach. Our work has been that. IN THE BOOK CHAPTER 6, I WROTE ABOUT THIS BLUE PRINT as to WHAT HAS TO BE DONE BY THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, what has to be done by the Jewish community, what has to be done by the Christian community, what has to be done by the Muslim community, what has to be done by educators, what has to be done by the media. For example, IN MY BOOK IN THE ARABIC VERSION page 293, what did I write? WHAT ARE THE THINGS THAT THE UNITED STATES NEEDS TO DO. IF YOU EXAMINE THIS CHAPTER YOU WILL FIND THAT THE OBAMA SPEECH IN CAIRO WAS ALL TAKEN FROM THIS SECTION [Section 6]. When you do a job that is very complicated. You ask yourself, what have you accomplished. All these problems can be solved but requires the will to solve it. It requires political will, resources and the right focus. The signs of how to go to the moon was known 200 years ago, but the political will and financial will for it happened during 1960-1961. When John Kennedy said that we will send an American to the moon before the end of the 60’s, he established the financial resources and the political will.”

The story was even collaborated in a written article in an interview with Hani Al-Waziri of Egypt. The clue was revealed while Rauf was answering a question regarding President Barack Obama’s speech in which Rauf replied:

“The speech was wonderful and wise in his choice of words, the Prime Minister of Malaysia after the speech disclosed to me that it is now easy for any president of a Muslim country to establish good relations with America, and I AM NOT GOING TO HIDE FROM YOU THAT ONE OF THOSE WHO PARTICIPATED IN WRITING THE SPEECH, TRANSFERRED ENTIRE PARTS OF MY BOOK ‘A NEW VISION FOR MUSLIMS AND THE WEST’, which he referred to U.S. interests being compatible with top interests of the Muslim world”.

Rauf did not disclose the name of this speechwriter that included Rauf’s work in president Obama’s historic address to the Muslim world. It is crucial to note that the Arabic version of Feisal Abdul Rauf’s book was published in Malaysia titled “A CALL TO PRAYER, FROM THE WORLD TRADE CENTER RUBBLE: ISLAMIC DAWA (SUMMONS TO ISLAM) IN THE HEART OF AMERICA POST-9/11.”

The interview with Hani Alwaziri dated February 7th, 2010 intended to discuss Rauf’s plans for what he terms “American Style Islam” and the Cordova Initiative goals for the U.S. Rauf later stated that his goal was “To establish an American style Islam in the United States” in which he explains his aspiration of spreading Islam in America by using flexibility and molding Islam to become palatable to the American culture while preserving the integrity of Islamic ideology:

“If we look how Islam was spread from Hijaz (Arabia) to Morocco then Turkey, we note that Islam was shaped by the culture and society, hence showing a Muslim version of the architecture and culture and the arts, but with preservation of the framework of belief and worship. We need to provide a GLOBAL ISLAM in accordance with the nature of each society.”

Rauf boasted about his towering structure by Ground Zero as:

“an icon that will make Muslims proud, not only locally but globally.”

His suggestion to Muslims on how to deal with western Christians and Jews was:

“deal with them as one courts a pretty girl he wants to date; stop thinking like a typical Muslim. Then you can engage.”

He also discussed how he courted Bloomberg and the Jewish Community boards that “we have inroads with the Jewish Community Center”. It is interesting that Rauf stated in Arabic to Hadielislam, another prominent Muslim think tank that:

“people need to use peaceful means to advise the governors and government institutions…we also suggest to the governors and political institutions to CONSULT [MUSLIM] RELIGIOUS INSTITUTIONS AND [MUSLIM] PERSONALITIES IN THE FIELD SO AS TO ASSURE THEIR DECISION MAKING TO REFLECT THE SPIRIT OF SHARIAH.”

In previous reports researched by the Walid Shoebat Foundation, it was revealed that Imam Rauf has made statements in the Arabic language – while appearing on Arabic media outlets – that completely contradict his moderate tone when speaking English, exposing him as a direct supporter of terrorism, both financially and verbally.

Walid Shoebat a former terrorist now an advocate for the U.S. and exposes Jihadist political agenda is conducting interviews on various news media outlets to expose this outrage.

ABOUT WALID SHOEBAT…

Walid is the author of several bestselling books including “Why I Left Jihad,” “Why We Want To Kill You” and “God’s War on Terror.” Walid is an American citizen and lives in the USA with his wife and children, under this assumed name. Muslim fasting causes retarded babies.

Anyone surprised? From BBC

Pregnant women told not to fast during holy Ramadan

By Divya Talwar BBC Asian Network

Pregnant woman Fasting is not advised in pregnancy

Pregnant women who fast during Ramadan could be putting the health of their unborn baby at risk, according to a new study.

Fasting during the month is one of the five pillars of Islam, although pregnant women are exempt if it poses a risk to their health.

However, some Muslim women still choose to fast, despite the health implications.

Aanisa Butt, 32, fasted during both of her pregnancies.

“I wouldn’t fast every day, I would do one day of fasting followed by a day of rest. Doing alternate days helped me keep my energy levels up,” she said.

Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar and a time when Muslims across the world fast from dawn until sunset.

“When Ramadan falls in the summer, it can be really difficult to stay without food and water the whole day and if you’re pregnant it is even more hard,” said Aanisa.

“But I wasn’t worried about my health or my baby’s. I think Allah gives you strength and he protects your unborn child.”

Aanisa Mum-of-two who fasted during both pregnancies during Ramadan

Although Aanisa gave birth to two healthy sons, if women fast for long hours during their pregnancy it can result in problems for their unborn child.

A study by scientists in the United States, based on census data from the US, Iraq and Uganda, found that pregnant women who fast are likely to have smaller babies who are more prone to learning disabilities in adulthood. Continue Reading →

Assaulted because they did not respect Ramadan [+ quick history]

A man who was lunching on the terrace of a restaurant in central Lyon was assaulted for not respecting Ramadan

He breakfasted on the terrace of a restaurant in central Lyon, the weekend of Aug. 15, when three youths pounced on him because he does not respect the fasting month of Ramadan.  The father of Senegalese origin, living Venissieux, was struck in the head with a glass bottle, then hit with a chair.

Transported to the hospital with a fractured skull at the back, the victim has been trépanée. The attack was filmed by a CCTV camera, but the bad images do not identify the attackers. The Lyon prosecutor’s office opened a preliminary investigation.  According to our information, the manager of Kebab, fearing reprisals, would testify under X.

Three days later, a young Jewish woman who wore a complaint after being assaulted in a large area of Toulouse. . The victim claimed to have been taken to task by two teenagers who accused him of buying food during fasting.

The young woman would then argued that she was Jewish, which would only intensify the anger of his attackers, who, after having called a “dirty Jew”, allegedly hit on the head, by the heavy fall.

A vigil attended the scene without intervening. When questioned by investigators about the reasons for its passivity, the man explained that he respected Ramadan and so was anxious to leave in order to eat, from the sunset.
