Iran’s Supreme Leader: ‘We Have Won on the Nuclear Front’

In a recent meeting that took place between Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei and a group of his top-ranking military commanders, the nuclear matter was a focal point (Farsi link here).

The supreme leader commented on the fact that the (Western) oppressors have employed all of their political, propaganda, and economic might in forcing the Islamic Republic to abandon its nuclear pursuits. Then, he said:

And now, after eight years of pressure, the Islamic Iran has won out.

The Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) reported that, in another part of his commentary, Khamenei discussed the shifts that have been occurring in several of the countries in the region:

The welcome developments that have started taking place in our region are as a result of Iran’s resistance and in the future there will be many more shifts in the region.

Khamenei pointed out that the victory of the Islamic revolution is an example of the resistance of Iranians who stood up to difficulties and pressures, which became a movement that was accompanied by impetus and pride. On this matter, he added:

Almost all analysts around the world are noting that that movements currently sweeping through the Middle East and North Africa are as a result of the Iranian people’s revolution.

The leader of the Islamic revolution emphasized that the victory of the Iranian people was a game changer for regional and international matters. Regarding Palestine and the elimination of the imposing presence of the oppressors, he stated:

The current movement in the region is a direct result of pent-up energies, ideas and decisions that have finally erupted and of course the steadfast and firm steps that Iranians have taken which shows exceptional progress made by the Islamic Iran.

Iran: France Concerned Over Missile Test

France on March 17 expressed concern over Iran’s test firing of an orbital ballistic missile, noting that the U.N. Security Council (UNSC) prohibits such tests, KUNA reported. The test, if proven true, constitutes a new violation of UNSC resolutions, the French Foreign Ministry said in an official statement.

North Korea and Iran’s Joint Nuclear Bomb Test

On December 30 of 2010, I revealed in my article, “Is Iran About to Test a Nuclear Bomb In North Korea?” that according to reports from inside Iran, a team of Iranian nuclear scientists have been sent to North Korea and that the two governments have agreed to a joint nuclear test in North Korea with a substantial financial reward for the Kim Jong-Il government. Also, that in order to avoid a possible military reaction by the West, Iran is working covertly with North Korea until such a time they are capable of weaponizing their ballistic missiles with nuclear warheads.

Reports today in The Korean Times suggest that North Korea is preparing for its third nuclear bomb test by digging additional tunnels at the Musudan-ri Launch Facility. “It’s obvious that North Korea is preparing for a third nuclear test,” the source said on condition of anonymity, adding that multiple tunnels are being dug so that Pyongyang can choose the best one to conduct the test. The facility, located in Punggye-ri in the country’s northwest corner, is the site of the North’s previous tests in 2006 and 2009.

It is no secret that Iran and North Korea are collaborating in a ballistic missile program. The North Koreans provided Iran with the technology and know-how to build the Shahab-3 medium-range ballistic missile, which is a copy of the Nodong-1 missile. The Shahb-3 missile has a range of 2,000 kilometers (1,240 miles), which covers all of the U.S. military bases in the Middle East and the entire country of Israel.

Most alarming, recent WikiLeaks releases reveal that Iran obtained a cache of advanced missiles capable of carrying nuclear warheads (based on a Russian design) from North Korea. Now, for the first time, Iran has the capability to target every capital in Western Europe.

Report: N. Korea digging tunnels for likely nuclear-test

SEOUL — North Korea is digging tunnels at a site where it has launched two nuclear tests, suggesting it is preparing a third, the South’s Yonhap news agency said on Sunday, a development which would trigger concern across the region.

Tensions rose on the divided peninsula when 46 sailors were killed in an attack in March on a South Korean naval vessel. North Korea, which has denied responsibility, shelled the southern island of Yeonpyeong in November, killing four people and sparking fears of possible all-out war.

The North was excavating several tunnels before picking the most suitable, Yonhap said, citing an unnamed South Korean government source.

“South Korean and U.S. intelligence authorities have spotted North Korea building several other underground mines at Punggye-ri where it had run two nuclear tests,” the unidentified source was quoted as saying.

“It is judged to be clear evidence of preparing for a third nuclear test.”

Military talks broke down between the two sides this month, dealing a setback to the resumption of six-party aid-for-disarmament negotiations, which North Korea walked out of over two years ago.

While the two sides are not talking, the risk of what both sides calls a “provocation” increases. Analysts have said acts of brinkmanship by the North could include military drills or attack, or the testing of a missile or nuclear device. Continue Reading →

“At the airport, seaport, at our port of entry we have not this past fiscal year, but our partner agencies have found those things,” said Hallor.Customs and Border Protection officers clear 80 percent of all cargo before it enters the United States. Congress has mandated that they clear 100 percent of cargo imports by 2012. In San Diego, every cargo container is driven through a radiation detector before leaving San Diego’s seaport.”So, specifically, you’re looking for the dirty bomb? The purpose of many security measures is to prevent threats from ever materializing by being prepared for them. And, we must be prepared to stop threats in whatever form they do materialize at the border, whether it’s an individual or cargo arriving by land, air, or sea. Regardless of what the contraband or threat is, we’re being smart, evaluating, and focusing in on anything or anyone that is potentially high-risk.We were able to show you first-hand one example of how we evaluate segment risk, inspect, etc. in the cargo environment by air and sea here in San Diego. This is one portion of the CBP mission, and hopefully gives you some examples of how much has evolved in the past decade, with the new technologies we have at our disposal. This, coupled with document requirements at the border, advanced passenger and cargo information, better information sharing, and many other measures help us to secure the border – and each measure doesn’t work individually or in a vacuum, but rather in the layered security that we were able to demonstrate one facet of.

Thousands of classified American cables obtained by the WikiLeaks website and passed to The Daily Telegraph detail the international struggle to stop the spread of weapons-grade nuclear, chemical and biological material around the globe.

Once again, CBN outdoes most of the media with an excellent expose of the nature of the relationship between Iran and Venezuela and the likely nuclear weapons program of Venezuela or at the very least, the near certainty that Venezuela is aiding Iran’s nuclear weapons program and helping him breach sanctions.

Keep an eye open on various ‘hospitals’ that Iran funds across Latin America which are reported as cancer treatment plants and in return, the nurses are asked to wear hijabs. However I believe in reality, these are facilities the Iranians use to get the special isotopes required for nuclear bomb triggers.

Wikileaks may be the earthquake that starts the avalanche

Wikileaks founder claims to be a peace activist. I suspect like most self proclaimed peace activists, he is very much for war but on the ‘other side’. Certainly this batch of leaks promises to do much more to accelerate a war than it does to help build good relations. I also can’t help but notice that there are no leaks from North Korea, Iran, The KSA-Saudi Arabia, or Pakistan, although I’m quite certain that revelations from Pakistan will be released if they have not been already.

In any case, this man should be tried for treason with a capitol punishment if found guilty in my humble opinion. What he has done will cost the lives of allies of the west, of freedom and of liberal democracy. Perhaps not a perfect system, but the best ever managed in the history of the world so far. Even so, it is interesting that so many Mid East leaders are calling for the elimination of the Iranian regime. It seems they are not squeamish about attacking, but most certainly are of Iran getting the bomb.

Al Qaeda operatives in Iraq tried to unleash deadly terror in the skies by deploying a pair of kamikaze canines on a US-bound plane, a French newspaper reports.

The diabolical plot failed because the bombs were so badly stitched inside the poor pooches that they died, said the respected Paris daily Le Figaro.

“This case illustrates the determination of al Qaeda militants, who are trying to circumvent terrorism controls by any means,” French criminologist Christophe Naudin, an aviation security expert, told the newspaper.

Justice demands execution for murderous jihadist soldier

Army Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan deserves the death penalty for perpetrating the Nov. 5, 2009, Fort Hood massacre. He has earned this penalty not only for the scale of his crime – the worst domestic attack on a military installation in American history, killing 13 and wounding 32 – but also for the purposeful way he planned and executed the assault, his jihadist motives and for the fundamental betrayal of the trust placed in him as an officer in the United States Army.

Witness testimony at the ongoing Article 32 hearings in a military court at Fort Hood paints a harrowing picture of Hasan as a heartless, ideologically motivated killer. The judge, Col. James Pohl, has asked for testimony from all the wounded survivors of the attack. Hasan was heavily armed, with over 300 rounds of ammunition, of which he expended at least 146. He did not fire randomly but carefully chose targets with a laser sight before firing multiple rounds into his panicked, unarmed victims. He showed no mercy to them, and deserves none himself.

Maj. Steven Richter, who testified via webcam from his current post in South Korea, recalled telling the police, “He’s one of us.” But more accurately, Hasan is one of them, an al Qaeda-inspired Islamic extremist who prefaced his assault with the jihadist war cry “Allahu Akbar!” His fateful moment was facilitated by a string of intelligence failures and oversights motivated by an overweening and persistent sense of political correctness in the military establishment.
