Something that would never happen in America the brave and the free–an Australian senator says that “Islam itself is the problem.”

The Australian Herald Sun reports

:

Islam’s the problems, not Muslims, says Senator Cory BernardiTONY Abbott’s official frontbench understudy has reignited immigration tensions by denouncing Islam as a “totalitarian, political and religious ideology”.

Liberal parliamentary secretary Cory Bernardi revealed last night he had received death threats after making the comments.

While the immigration debate usually differentiates between the religion of Islam and extreme fundamentalist interpretations, Senator Bernardi confronted the issue head-on yesterday.

“Islam itself is the problem–it’s not Muslims,” he told radio station MTR.

“Muslims are individuals that practise their faith in their own way, but Islam is a totalitarian, political and religious ideology.

“It tells people everything about how they need to conduct themselves, who they’re allowed to marry and how they’re allowed to treat other people.”

Senator Bernardi said Islam had “not moved on” since it was founded and that extremists wanted fundamentalist Islamic rule implemented in Australia.

The senator also inflamed the row over funeral expenses for asylum-seekers by declaring that it was “wrong” for taxpayers to foot the bill.

The remarks provoked a strong reaction from Ikebal Patel, president of the Australian Federation of Islamic Councils, who said Senator Bernardi had “crossed the line” with his attack on Islam.

“These comments are more than offensive; they are bigoted,” Mr Patel said.

“Cory Bernardi needs to have a good read of the Bible if he is a practising Christian.

“This is hardly the language of a religious person.”

Immigration Minister Chris Bowen also slammed the senator’s remarks.

“The Liberal Party professes to have said this week it would not make political points out of race and religion, but here we have Tony Abbott’s parliamentary secretary launching an attack on a religion,” Mr Bowen said.

Pupils must not be forced to eat halal Church tells schools

From The Daily Mail:

The Church of England has told its schools to ensure they are serving non-halal food after concerns that a number are only providing meat slaughtered according to Islamic law.

The official guidance was issued after Church members complained that the use of halal meat was effectively ‘spreading sharia law’ across Britain.

The Church’s financial arm has also come under pressure to withdraw its investments – worth millions of pounds – in supermarkets that do not clearly label halal food.

The moves follow disclosures by The Mail on Sunday last year that halal products were widespread in schools, hospitals, pubs and sporting venues but members of the public were not informed.

More than 10,000 Christians, many of whom have reservations about eating meat from animals that are bled to death while an Islamic prayer is recited, have signed a petition calling for proper labelling. Continue Reading →

Japanese police watch Muslims

Here is a Press TV clip showing how Japanese police watch activities of Muslims closely. The Iranian Media mouthpiece is of course trying to show bigotry etc. I see sanity and it gives me hope, if you add this info-bit to the various wikileaks, that have come out recently about US admin views of Muslims and Islam in Europe, that our Western governments may not be as self destructive and PC-insane as it seems.

Shred the Koran year.

Frankly, I’m torn on this one. Ok not really, I just thought that would make a decent pun. First watch the video, then I would really like to see a discussion on this idea. I think its interesting and deserving of debate.

I believe that everyone should read the Koran for the exact same reason I think everyone should have read Mein Kampf back when it mattered and someone could have done something about Hitler before fifty million people died over the ideas he implemented in that book. However I also think that burning and shredding Mein Kampf is a perfectly reasonable non-violent form of protest and had we done it near German embassies and cultural centres so much the better or perhaps more accurately, Nazi embassies and cultural centres had their been any. It might have drawn more attention to what was in the book and more people might have fought against it when it could have done some good.

In this case with the Koran, as with the little Austrian, an Oz. of prevention was worth fifty million X 170 Lbs of cure.

Sadly, many nations have managed to make protest of tyranny and genocidal hatred illegal as a hate crime as if pointing out and showing contempt for hate is the same thing as spreading hatred itself. However I think we should do it anyway. Because in this case the spirit of the law, and not wacky far leftist interpretations of it must be what is obeyed. If we let them win at the level of not being allowed to shred or burn or otherwise mistreat a book because the enemy holds that book sacred, then what chance do we have to win the preservation of our freedoms and indeed, win back the freedoms already lost.

A line in the sand on Europe: Tory MPs get go-ahead to defy Strasbourg over prisoner votes

Extraordinary move: David Cameron has decided to give his MPs a free vote on the issue of allowing prisoners the voteExtraordinary move: David Cameron has decided to give his MPs a free vote on the issue of allowing prisoners the vote

Tory MPs are to be given the green light to assert the supremacy of Parliament in a defining battle with the European courts.

David Cameron has accepted he has no chance of persuading Parliament to back demands from Strasbourg to give thousands of prisoners the vote for the first time in 140 years.

In an extraordinary move, the Prime Minister has decided to give his MPs a free vote on the issue – effectively encouraging them to refuse to bow to the European Court of Human Rights.

A defeat would allow the Government to go back to the court in Strasbourg and insist it has tried, but failed to change the law – and that the democratic will of Parliament should prevail.Conservative MPs insist the time has come to draw a ‘line in the sand’ after decades of kow-towing to the European courts. The Calm Before the Storm in Luton

From Gates of Vienna:

EDL header
I just received a phone call from one of the EDL people who will be participating in tomorrow’s big demonstration in Luton. He tells me that the town is fairly humming already, and a lot of the people who plan to attend arrived earlier this evening and are staying in hotels.

There is already a massive police presence — police cars and patrols all over the town keeping an eye on things. My contact says that there are also carloads of culture enrichers driving around looking for anybody who resembles an EDL supporter, and then shouting abuse at them out the windows. He was with a member of the Dutch delegation who was singled out for particular harassment.

Representatives from Germany, the Netherlands, France, and Austria have arrived. The speakers’ roster has been established for tomorrow, and will include at least one foreign speaker, although most speeches will be given by EDL leaders, especial local representatives from Luton.

The main event begins tomorrow at 1pm GMT, which is 8am my time (EST). I’ll be live-blogging events as the information comes in.

Stay tuned — it looks like Luton is going to a big one.

Shotton Lane Mosque burnt to ground

This article from “The British Resistance”. Things in England appear to be going very predictibly. When the very state itself supports enemies of its people, it’s people sooner or later may act in their own defence as they see it.

Eeyore

From The British Resistance:

Written by Green Arrow

shotton-lane_120_x_120So the moslem’s dream of having a nice new mosque in Shotton Lane, Deeside is now nothing more than a pile of ashes and I mean that in a literal sense.  Either by an act of god, at the hands of men or a combination of both, it has burnt to the ground.  Well as the moslems would say.  “It is the will of Allah.  May all his children please him“.

If the place was torched by a person who did not wish to see their area colonised and upset at the remarks of Monchab Ali, the chairman of the Flintshire Muslim Cultral Society who said before his sand castle got washed away in a sea of flames:

“We all have a role to play in the community to work together. We are aiming to build an Islamic cultural centre, which will be open to everyone for people to learn about Islam.

“The idea is to promote community cohesion and we would invite schoolchildren to see the centre and get a better understanding of the Islamic faith and community.”

then he is a very naughty boy.  Write out 100 times “I must make the moslem colonisers welcome and must not burn down their mosques“.

Joking aside, it was a dangerous act and as the local MP said:

“It is an absolutely terrible thing to happen. People could have been killed.

“This fire put many lives at risk and appears to have been started deliberately.

“We now have a blackened wreck in the centre of Deeside.”

Then again I must be honest.  I would prefer to live next to a blackened wreck than a mosque and I suspect most of the residents feel  the same way in their hearts.

Some Dhimmi cow councillor by the name of Helen Brown said that feelings were running high and people were fearing repercussions (presumably from the moslems).

Well I have news for you Helen, by the time this rotten business is sorted out, it will be more than just a mosque burning down, it will be entire towns and cities and when it starts the British People will have none to blame but themselves for continually voting for governments that are determined to wipe them out as a race.
