Islamic scholar: Every Muslim has right to kill Zionists

From YNET News

Islamic scholar Dr. Salah Sultan issued a religious decree according to which it is permissible to kill “any Israeli on Egyptian land, in response to the killing of Egyptian soldiers near the border with Israel,” Egyptian Al-Shuruq newspaper reported on Tuesday.

Sultan is a lecturer of Muslim jurisprudence at the Cairo University. In the decree, he ruled that “every Muslim who meets a Zionist is entitled to kill him, after Israel killed ‘Camp David’. The Egyptian people do not distinguish between Egyptian and Palestinian blood,” he ruled. (Roee Nahmias)

BURAK BEKD?L

It has been more than two and a half years since Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdo?an told to Israeli President Shimon Peres’s face, “You (Jews) know well how to kill.” Prime Minister Erdo?an has also declared more than a few times that the main obstacle to peace in this part of the world is Israel, once calling the Jewish state “a festering boil in the Middle East that spreads hate and enmity.” In this holy month of Ramadan full of blood on Muslim territories, let’s try to identify who are the ones who know well how to kill.

As the Syrian death count clicks every day to come close to 2,000, the Turkish-Kurdish death count does not stop, already over 40,000 since 1984, both adding to the big pool of blood called the Middle East. Only during this Ramadan, the Kurdistan Workers’ Party, or PKK’s, death toll has reached 50 in this Muslim Kurds vs. Muslim Turks war. This excludes the PKK casualties in Turkey and in northern Iraq due to Turkish military retaliation since they are seldom accurately reported.

Let’s speak of facts.

Sudan is not in the conventional Middle East, so let’s ignore the genocide there. Let’s ignore, also, the West Pakistani massacres in East Pakistan (Bangladesh) totaling 1.25 million in 1971. Or 200,000 deaths in Algeria in war between Islamists and the government in 1991-2006.

But a simple, strictly Middle East research will give you one million deaths in the all-Muslim Iran-Iraq war; 300,000 Muslim minorities killed by Saddam Hussein; 80,000 Iranians killed during the Islamic revolution; 25,000 deaths in 1970-71, the days of Black September, by the Jordanian government in its fight against the Palestinians; and 20,000 Islamists killed in 1982 by the elder al-Assad in Hama. The World Health Organization’s estimate of Osama bin Laden’s carnage in Iraq was already 150,000 a few years earlier.

In a 2007 research, Gunnar Heinsohn from the University of Bremen and Daniel Pipes, director of the Middle East Forum, found out that some 11 million Muslims have been violently killed since 1948, of which 35,000, (0.3 percent) died during the six years of Arab war against Israel, or one out of every 315 fatalities. In contrast, over 90 percent who perished were killed by fellow Muslims.

Muslim shopkeeper defends freedom of choice in the UK.

This is a very interesting argument. I think this shopkeeper, although clearly a devout member of the Islamic community, shows some really good values overall, eve if I don’t agree with some of his opinions. If only his attitude was the dominant one in the Western world’s Islamic community.

Another ground invasion of Gaza possible

Israel: Continued Violence, Ground Invasion Of Gaza Possible – Ministers

August 21, 2011

Israeli Public Security Minister Yitzhak Aharonovitch said Aug. 21, while in Ashkelon consulting attack victims, that the violence in the southern part of the country will continue in the next few days and that the public should act accordingly, The Jerusalem Post reported. Deputy Prime Minister Silvan Shalom, while visiting attack victims in Beersheba, said that the government will have to consider a ground invasion into the Gaza Strip, adding that the country cannot continue in a situation where one million Israelis are living under constant rocket fire. “The deterrence from Operation Cast Lead has exhausted itself,” Shalom said.

Grads rockets injure 3 children in Israel

From reports I am reading, Iron Dome is taking out the occasional rocket. Of course, one has to wonder, if Israel develops a defense system that is even 100% effective, will that not make them less likely to strike back and teach those who attack her that there is a cost to that kind of aggression? I just have my doubts as to the wisdom of this kind of defense except were it relates to strategic certainty such as an incoming nuke etc.

Anti-Israel bullies’ hard-centre bites in chocolate shop campaign

IN Brisbane next Saturday, a group of anti-Israeli protesters will march on a Jewish-owned chocolate shop as part of a radical national campaign that risks morphing into an ugly platform for anti-Semites.

The targeting of the Israeli-owned Max Brenner chocolate shop chain in Australia by a coalition of anti-Israeli groups is testing the limits of the law, ethics and tolerance. Nineteen protesters were arrested and three policemen injured early last month when a rally outside a Max Brenner shop in Melbourne, similar to the one planned for Brisbane, turned violent.

The spectacle of protesters breaking the law in an attempt to harm a legal Jewish business was all the more abhorrent because it invited obvious historical parallels to the anti-Semitic targeting of Jewish businesses in 1930s Nazi Germany. The violence was so damaging to the pro-Palestinian cause that even some Palestinian groups were critical of it.

Related Coverage

“People who were there told me it was really out of hand and pretty stupid the way they did it,” says Jim Barr, president of the country’s peak pro-Palestinian group, the Australia Palestine Advocacy Network. “We certainly don’t want to create public sympathy for Max Brenner, which is what we did. I support the Brenner campaign but it needs to be done well.”

What concerns many people about the Max Brenner campaign, apart from the shadow of history, is that it is directed against something that, although foreign owned, is a legitimate legal business in this country. That it is a chocolate shop only underlines the tenuous nature of claims that it bears some responsibility for Israel’s military and human rights policies in the occupied territories.

“In a democratic society anybody should be allowed to protest, but I find it really distasteful that a Jewish business is being targeted in this way,” Australian Workers Union national secretary Paul Howes says. “If people are upset about the handling of the Middle East process then fine, but why don’t they protest outside the Israeli embassy and direct their protest to the Israeli state rather than a Jewish business? If people do not like the policies of the Australian government, I wouldn’t expect there to be a protest outside the RM Williams store.”

But Samah Sabawi, spokeswoman for the advocacy group Australians for Palestine, defends the targeting of Max Brenner because it makes a greater impact than traditional protests.

“Standing outside an embassy is not always the most effective form of protest,” she says. “We live in a democratic society and we have a choice of different types of campaigns.”

The Max Brenner campaign in Australia is part of the global campaign known as Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions, which seeks in part to boycott Israeli businesses as a means of pressuring Israel to improve its human rights record. The campaign in Australia involves a loose alliance of the radical Left, including greens, unions, socialists and Marxists, in addition to at least 14 separate pro-Palestinian groups.

Ayatollah Khamenei

Editor’s Note: The writer is the author of “A Time to Betray,” a book about his double life as a CIA agent in Iran’s Revolutionary Guards.

Iran is warning Israel that its citizens should flee the Middle East or face annihilation.

The chief commander of Iran’s Basiji forces, Brig. Gen. Mohammad-Reza Naghdi, recently stated that Iran has no option but to destroy Israel. Ratcheting up the war of words, Naghdi is now threatening Israelis in the “occupied lands” that they are surrounded by mujahedeen of Islam bent on their destruction.

“I quote our supreme leader, Imam Khamenei, who clearly stated during the recent gathering of the leadership’s elite that Zionists are now encircled by those who are willing to wage jihad for Islam, and that those concerned for their safety and well-being should quickly go back to the countries they left behind,” Naghdi told the Fars News agency, the media outlet for the Revolutionary Guards.

When asked by the Fars News reporter about what he called empty threats by the Zionist government against Muslims, Naghdi responded: “(Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin) Netanyahu and the Zionists don’t even have the capability to keep the Hamas mujahedeen in check, let alone take it upon themselves to devise plans and plots for Muslims elsewhere. Our response to all the threats is that the heads of the Zionist government and Mr. Netanyahu should prepare themselves for the cage (prison).” Continue Reading →

Egypt’s military deployed to Sinai to defend from potential terror attacks

Flames rise after an explosion near the town of El-Arish, Egypt, 30 miles (50 kilometers) from the border with Israel, July 4, 2011. Unidentified assailants blew up the Egyptian pipeline that carries gas to Israel and Jordan early on Monday, starting a fire and disrupting the flow of the gas, security officials said.

Egyptian authorities on Friday deployed over 2000 soldiers to the Sinai Peninsula to thwart possible attacks by Islamist militants, security sources said.

“More than 2000 policemen and several military armored vehicles were stationed around security premises in North Sinai’s Arish city,” the sources said.

“The security deployment is for defense purposes only,” said Abdel Wahad Mabrouk, the governor of North Sinai. “We are not chasing anyone in Sinai’s mountains,” Mabrouk added, referring to the peninsula’s caves, which have been traditionally used as special hideouts for Bedouin smugglers and Islamist militants.

On Thursday, the American television station CNN reported that Egyptian authorities were preparing to launch an operation against Al-Qaeda cells that had recently been established in Sinai. Continue Reading →

Politics Palestinian Authority Using U.S. Aid to Help Pay Millions in Salaries to Jailed Terror Suspects, Report Finds

FOX news:

Israeli prison_041711

A demonstrator places a poster depicting a Palestinian prisoner, on a fence during a protest outside Ofer prison, near the West Bank city of Ramallah, April 17, 2011, calling for the release of Palestinian prisoners from Israeli jails.

The Palestinian Authority is spending more than $5 million per month in salaries for 5,500 convicted and alleged terrorists imprisoned in Israel — payments that defy congressional rules for U.S. funding to the PA, according to a new report from an Israeli research institute.

Palestinian Media Watch released a report last week that found that all Palestinian and Israeli minority Arabs in Israeli prisons for terror acts have been legally receiving a monthly salary from the PA under a new law passed in April that simply “formalizes what has long been a PA practice.” Continue Reading →

Families of suicide bombers given £5m in British aid cash

British aid cash is being given to the families of suicide bombers, it was claimed last night.

The Palestinian Authority, which gets £86million of British aid a year, has authorised payments of almost £5million to the families of ‘martyrs’.

Another £3million has been given to 5,500 Palestinian prisoners held in Israeli jails. The payments, using taxpayers’ cash donated from Britain and the European Union, have been described as ‘ludicrous’ by one Tory MP.

The Palestinian Authority, which oversees the West Bank, has introduced a new law which pays the families of suicide bombers out of its civil service budget.

According to the official Palestinian daily newspaper, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, payments to the families of ‘martyrs’ – those killed fighting Israel, including suicide bombers – totalled 3.5 per cent of the budget.

‘Every terrorist in prison, including those whose acts led to the deaths of Israeli civilians, are on the PA payroll,’ said Itamar Marcus, of Palestinian Media Watch. Continue Reading →

Jewish people should prepare to leave Norway and now.

I have certainly posted lots of material in the past few years that would point to that conclusion and even said it a few times myself. But the blog, ‘Israelycool’ has a rather excellent article, citing a few other articles as well, which provides some serious ammunition for the idea. If I were Jewish and living in Norway, I think I would be selling all the big stuff and packing all the small stuff about now. Click over and read it.
