1. So how great is it that Ilhan Omar has been raided this morning. I mean this is LONG overdue. We know for a fact she is guilty of any number of crimes that should have had her deported. Marrying her brother for entrance to the US. for one. Then once being an American, working 24/7 to destroy the United States as a constitutional republic. So it was amazingly satisfying to find she was the target of an early morning raid by the FBI or whatever.
But if you read it in the MSM you would think Trump was the criminal. At least you can’t blame the media for being inconsistent though. When Trump was raided, Mar a Lago etc, the media definitely made out that Trump was the criminal.
US immigration authorities raid home of Democratic Trump critic Ilhan Omar
As you can see from the summary, the entire article frames this as Trump doing this for political reasons. Well he damn well better have at one level because if Trump loses the mid terms, we are all screwed and there is no coming back peacefully. The Democrats will do what they did in 2020 and 2024 but orders of magnitude more authoritarian. And they will impeach Trump at breakneck speed, if not actually break necks.
Next, a much more benign example but irritating nonetheless.
First let’s watch the video
Personally I have had only one relationship conversation with someone who actually implemented this tech. And after some discussion, we landed on:
It doesn’t work well enough to depend on it, If you get this kit you had better not disconnect or dispose of your oil or natural gas heating equipment. But the main thing that makes this video so very dishonest beyond the smug look on the ‘expert’s face the whole time, is the lie that it is cheaper. At no point do they talk about the massive subsidies on all aspects of the solar and heat exchange aspect of the cost, even though this video itself is about the TWO BILLION DOLLAR rebate for getting a heat pump, but at NO POINT is the massive taxation on fossil fuels mentioned. So yeah, maybe just maybe you save money using this kit. But when the state puts its mighty thumbs under and on top of BOTH sides of the scale, to say it is cheaper is a lie of some real proportion. Gold is cheaper than lead if you subsidize its purchase by 99X and then add a 200$ a gram lead tax on all lead sales.
If anyone has direct experience with solar panels and a heat exchanger as the sole source for power, heat and air conditioning, please leave your thoughts and experience in the comments.

A reasonably good AI comparison of Ground Sourced vs Air Sourced heat pumps. It would make sense in Canada , only if the electricty to run them was free.
Ground source heat pumps (GSHPs) are generally more efficient than air source heat pumps (ASHPs), particularly in cold weather, because they draw heat from the stable underground temperature (10–12°C) rather than fluctuating air temperatures. GSHPs typically achieve a Seasonal Coefficient of Performance (SCOP) of 3.5–6.0, while ASHPs usually range between 2.5–4.0, with efficiency dropping significantly as outdoor air temperatures fall below freezing.
Despite the higher peak efficiency of GSHPs, ASHPs can be more efficient during mild weather (spring/autumn) when air temperatures exceed ground temperatures, and they avoid the energy penalty of pumping fluid through ground loops. However, GSHPs provide consistent, stable efficiency year-round, resulting in lower running costs and higher long-term savings, whereas ASHPs are less efficient during peak heating demand in winter.
Efficiency Comparison
Feature Ground Source Heat Pump (GSHP) Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP)
Heat Source Stable ground temperature (10–12°C) Fluctuating outside air temperature
Typical SCOP 3.5 – 6.0 2.5 – 4.0
Cold Weather Performance High stability; efficiency remains consistent Drops significantly below 0°C
Mild Weather Performance Lower relative efficiency (ground cooler than air) Higher relative efficiency (air warmer than ground)
Energy Consumption Lower running costs; less electricity per unit of heat Higher electricity use in extreme cold
Ultimately, while GSHPs offer superior efficiency and lower running costs, ASHPs are often preferred for their lower upfront installation costs and simpler setup, with modern technology narrowing the efficiency gap in moderate climates.
