A muslim who raped a 13-year-old girl he groomed on Facebook has been spared a prison sentence after a judge heard he went to an Islamic faith school where he  was taught that women are worthless.

Adil Rashid, 18, claimed he was not aware that it was illegal for him to have sex with the girl because his education left him ignorant of British law.

Yesterday Judge Michael Stokes handed Rashid a suspended sentence, saying: ‘Although chronologically 18, it is quite clear from the reports that you are very naive and immature when it comes to sexual matters.’

Earlier Nottingham Crown Court heard that such crimes usually result in a four to seven-year prison sentence.

But the judge said that because Rashid was ‘passive’ and ‘lacking assertiveness’, sending him to jail might cause him ‘more damage than good’.

Rashid, from Birmingham, admitted he had sex with the girl, saying he had been ‘tempted by her’ after they met online.

They initially exchanged messages on Facebook before sending texts and chatting on the phone over a two-month period.

They then met up in Nottingham, where Rashid had booked a room at a Premier Inn.

The girl told police they stayed at the hotel for two hours and had sex after Rashid went to the bathroom and emerged wearing a condom.

Rashid then returned home and went straight to a mosque to pray. He was arrested the following week after the girl confessed what had happened to a school friend, who informed one of her teachers.

He told police he knew the girl was 13 but said he was initially reluctant to have sex before relenting after being seduced.

Earlier the court heard how Rashid had ‘little experience of women’ due to his education at an Islamic school in the UK, which cannot be named for legal reasons.

After his arrest, he told a psychologist that he did not know having sex with a 13-year-old was against the law. The court heard he found it was illegal only when he was informed by a family member.

In other interviews with psychologists, Rashid claimed he had been taught in his school that ‘women are no more worthy than a lollipop that has been dropped on the ground’.

When Judge Stokes said Rashid ‘must have known it was illegal, unless he was going round with his eyes shut’, defence lawyer Laban Leake said reports suggested Rashid had a ‘degree of sexual naivety’.

‘The school he attended, it is not going too far to say, can be described as a closed community and on this occasion this was perpetuated by his home life.

‘It is not too far to say that he may not have known that having sex with a 13-year-old girl was illegal.’ Judge Stokes sentenced Rashid to nine months youth custody, suspended for two years, along with a two-year probation supervision order.

Describing Rashid, the judge said: ‘He’s had an unusual education, certainly in terms of the sexual education provided. Comparing women to lollipops is a very curious way of teaching young men about sex.’

But he said that Rashid knew what he was doing was wrong.

‘It was made clear to you at the school you attended that having sexual relations with a woman before marriage was contrary to the precepts of Islam,’ he said.

Addressing Rashid, the judge said: ‘I accept this was a case where the girl was quite willing to have sexual activity with you. But the law is there to protect young girls, even though they are perfectly happy to engage in sexual activity.’

The Bandung High Court has added one more year to the prison term of Sebastian Joe, who was sentenced to four years’ imprisonment for the blasphemy of Islam by the Ciamis District Court in West Java.

The high court decided on Tuesday to give Sebastian a higher sentence as it used the 2008 Information and Electronic Transaction (ITE) Law as a lex specialis (special law), instead of the Criminal Code (KUHP) used by the district court, said Sebastian’s lawyer, Anang Fitriana, as quoted by tempo.co on Wednesday.

HRW: Saudi website editor could face death for apostasy

RIYADH – The editor of a Saudi Arabian website could be sentenced to death after a judge cited him for apostasy and moved his case to a higher court, the monitoring group Human Rights Watch said on Saturday.

Raif Badawi, who started the Free Saudi Liberals website to discuss the role of religion in Saudi Arabia, was arrested in June, Human Rights Watch said.

Imran Firasat has been served the official documents by the Spanish government confirming that his residency status has been revoked

The authorities quickly hand-delivered the official revocation documents to Imran on Friday evening, December 22nd, giving him no chance to consult his lawyer or plea his case.  Through these actions, Spain has proven to the world that it holds Islamic law in high regard, even above its own laws.

Firasat is an ex-Muslim from Pakistan who has taken a radical stand against Islam since his conversion to Christianity.  He has received many death threats from Muslim individuals and groups in various Islamic countries for seven years because of his criticism of Islam.

Spain, a free western nation, had given Imran welcome asylum to protect him from these violent and radical Islamic groups.

Imran has been involved in the co-production of the Youtube, The Innocent Prophet, with Terry Jones and Stand Up America Now.  The Innocent Prophet was released to the public on Youtube on December 15, 2012.

Imran officially backed out of the project when the Spanish government threatened to revoke his protected residency status and have him deported to Pakistan where the death penalty is waiting for him because of his criticism of Islam.  Firasat did his best to cooperate with Spanish authorities by presenting documented proof to them that he had backed out of the project.   Despite this, Spain quickly revoked Imran’s protected asylum status during a period of approximately ten days.  This would normally take the government about six months to process.

Imran has not committed any crime according to Spanish law.   He has only exercised his right of free expression concerning his views on Islam.  Nevertheless, his residency status has been revoked and he faces imminent deportation to a Muslim nation where the penalty for blasphemy against Islam or Muhammad is death.

‘Specials ops’ team rescuing Pakistani Christians

An American ministry organization has created what amounts to a special operations team to work with a group in Pakistan to rescue Pakistani Christians who are unjustly charged under that longtime ally’s draconian blasphemy law.

The group Rescue Christians is the brainchild of former PLO terrorist-turned-Christian activist Walid Shoebat.

Shoebat says the organization established what is called the Raoul Wallenberg Project, named after the man who rescued Hungarian Jews from the Nazis during World War II.

Kuwait introduces death penalty for ‘cursing God and prophets’

Kuwaiti MPs this week approved a law with a death penalty for Muslims who curse God, the Koran, all prophets and the wives of Islam’s Prophet Mohammed. Non-Muslims who commit the same offence face a jail term of not less than 10 years, according to the bill.

Defendants who repent in court will be spared capital punishment but will get a jail sentence for five years and a fine of $36,000 or one of them, while repentance by those who repeat the crime is not acceptable, the bill says.

“We do not want to execute people with opinions or thought because Islam respects these people… But we need this legislation because incidents of cursing God have increased. We need to deter them,”

The New Spanish Inquisition And The Case Of Imran Firasat

The Spanish language publication El País reports  (1) that the Spanish Government has effectively threatened to withdraw refugee status from Imran Firasat.  They do this for their own twisted political reasons.

For those who are unfamiliar with his case Imran runs a website called Mundo sin Islam (World without Islam).  He is an apostate from Islam and has produced a film called The Innocent Prophet. Ordinarily this would not be a problem but the prophet in question happens to be the Islamic Prophet Mohammed.  The actions of Western politicians give the impression that Mohammed is entitled to greater reverence and superior protection than other Prophets.

In the Orwellian pro-sharia Europe some prophets are obviously more equal than others. Questioning minds have to give Mohammed a wide berth.  This is sharia law and it is being applied in Western Europe against the interests and the wishes of the European public.  Europe is moving back to restrictions on thought and expression that most people thought that we had permanently left behind during the Spanish Inquisition!

Al Qaeda committed ‘truly shocking’ human rights abuses including crucifixions and the beheading of an alleged sorceror during its 16 months in control of a southern region of Yemen, a report by Amnesty International claimed today.

The London-based charity has also released a video which appears to show a suspected thief having his hand amputated by the Ansar al-Sharia militia, which seized power of the Abyan governorate in February 2011.

Amnesty said dozens more civilians were then killed during reckless counter-insurgency operations by the Yemeni government as it sought to win back the territory from the Al Qaeda-affiliated group.

The tragedies would ‘haunt Yemen for decades to come’ unless the perpetrators were caught and the families compensated, the charity said.

Amnesty International Middle East and North Africa Director Philip Luther said: ‘Abyan experienced a human rights catastrophe as Ansar al-Sharia and government forces vied for control of the region during 2011 and the first half of 2012.

‘The Yemeni authorities must ensure that a commission of inquiry announced in September covers the truly shocking abuses committed.

The government of Turkey, actually worse than Disney!

I think most people are aware now that if anyone was to use Disney owned fictional characters without specific permission, whether it is on clothing or jewelry or even drawing your own cartoon with them you will hear from Disney’s lawyers at hypersonic speeds. And a good case can be made that this is OK actually. Disney either spent a ton of money and work developing and promoting these characters or buying them from the people/companies who did.

Turkey however, seems to have taken it upon itself to regulate how any and all religious characters in the (originally) Jewish and Christian pantheon are portrayed and have taken the Simpsons to court for defamation of religion.

This, is a much more serious matter than it sounds. This is part of the incremental process of forcing Islamic values on the world, much like the Egyptian judgment condemning 8 people, many of whom not even in Egypt, to death for blasphemy/defamation of religion. This was covered Dec 1 in our interview with Stephen Coughlin on this exact matter.

This will not end here. In fact it has just begun. This will progress, if allowed by the rest of us, till Muslims control the way all religion and religious icons/archetypes and avatars are represented anywhere. The issue is not that sharia and Islamic values apply to us. It does. The issue is whether or not they can enforce it wherever it is you happen to live.

Australia: “Very religious” Muslim stabs his brother for insulting Muhammad

A YOUNG man tried to stab his brother to death for insulting a Muslim prophet, a court has heard.

Safaa Allami, 22, is accused of attempting to murder his older brother Ali Allami during a row at their Cloverdale home in Perth’s eastern suburbs.

Ali Allami was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries, prosecutor Nicholas Cogin said.

It is claimed he was stabbed seven times in the chest, back and flank, suffering a pierced liver and kidney that could have cost him his life.

Egypt’s Constituent Assembly tasked with drafting the country’s new constitution has voted to keep “the principles of sharia” law as the main source of legislation in the country.

The article’s language however, remains unchanged from the previous constitution used under the regime of former President Hosni Mubarak.

The assembly gathered on Thursday to vote on each of the new draft constitution’s 234 articles in a potential bid by the Muslim Brotherhood to contain popular anger directed at Islamist President Muhamed Morsi.

The rushed vote was unexpected, coming just a week after Morsi extended the deadline for drafting the national charter by two months. The constitution was previously scheduled to be completed by December 5.

Once voting on the draft constitution is completed, the document will then be sent to Morsi, who will then  be able to call a referendum to ratify it within two weeks.

Egypt’s Constitutional Court was set to rule on the legitimacy of the Constituent Assembly on Sunday. Thursday’s apparent fast-tracking of the process has promoted speculation the panel is pushing through the draft constitution in case the court moves to dissolve the panel.

Opposing Sharia Law Is a Defence of the Rights of Muslims

How can we be a multicultural society if we do not accommodate sharia law? That is one of the most common questions I am asked when travelling the UK as spokesperson of the anti-sharia ‘One Law for All’ campaign (www.onelawforall.org.uk). It accompanies ‘why are you picking on a vulnerable minority?’ and cries of ‘Islamophobe’ and even ‘racist’.

This is not unreasonable; it is right that people stand up and say so if they think a minority is being picked on, it is right that racism be held in check, and it is right that we accommodate people’s beliefs provided they do not impede on the rights of others – the problem is, none of this applies here, because the sharia law I’m talking about is itself is racist and imperialist, it severely compromises human rights, and it is sharia that helps make life miserable for minorities in Britain (particularly female ones).
