Sterling Heights USA. City council meeting to approve an application to built a giant mosque is met with a lot of opposition.

Here is an extraordinary moment from a planning council meeting to approve a mosque in the US. Within the first minute, the muslim seeking the application claims that islam is essentially a sect of Christianity. The audience demonstrates a greater knowledge of Islam than they might have 10 years ago. There is also an implied threat in the presentation for the mosque.

This is an enormous shift in the culture. Hopefully all these good people will watch the Gavin Boby lectures about the effects on an area a mosque has and be more effective at opposing them at council meetings in future.

Quebec’s bill 59. Canada’s French province runs screaming from the Enlightenment.

For the past couple of days, a Quebec law professor and former director of a George Soros funded ‘progressive-leftist’ group called Open Society Foundations, has been arguing in the Quebec legislature, that criticism of islam should not just be illegal but punishable by massive fines for a first offense and life destroying ones for a second.

The National Post editorial puts it this way:

Strong stuff for a national newspaper. But potentially an understatement.

As this site has argued since its inception, the most problematic aspect of any lever of power like Bill 59 is the fact that it will be selectively enforced. In this case it would be a safe wager that it will be enforced using the guidelines of UN Resolution 16/18 making it a criminal act to criticize Islam, but not stopping Islam from calling for the genocide of non-believers under their right to religious freedom.

Back to the Post:

Bill 59 assigns new powers to the Quebec Human Rights Commission (QHRC) to combat hate speech, as well as a variety of other provisions meant to protect against extremism, by censoring speech that promotes “fear of the other.” Ominously, the bill would allow the QHRC to pursue websites that in its estimation describe and denounce Islamism.

The bill takes its inspiration from recommendations made public by the QHRC in November 2014. Jacques Frémont, the commission’s president, explained that he planned to use the requested powers to sue those critical of certain ideas, “people who would write against … the Islamic religion … on a website or on a Facebook page.”

Let’s let that sink in for a moment before we move forward.

The Quebec Government is contemplating a bill that seems, even overtly, to criminalize and punish anyone who criticizes a political/religious ideology. Even if islam was not a threat doctrine this bill is an outrageous affront to the most core principles of democracy. One cannot make an informed choice without information.

So who is this Jacques Frémont?

Below is a short video with a couple of tiny excerpts from an hour long speech in French where he seems to tip his hand a little bit. In all fairness, I do not speak French, so I cannot be certain that these short excerpts which were sent to us properly represent his point of view. So here is a link to the entire video. Quebec hate-speech bill prompts strong opinions at public hearings

But the most heated debates took place at the end of the day with the Association des musulmans et des arabes pour la laïcité au Québec (the Association of Muslims and Arabs for a secular Quebec).

Bill 59 was one of a slew of initiatives presented June 10 by the Quebec government to combat radicalization leading to violence, as it pledged to work with the city of Montreal on a deradicalization centre — their concerted response to terrorist attacks last October and the phenomenon of youths leaving Quebec to join terrorist ranks.

But it was also an answer to how to deal with the growing problem of Islamophobia, and on both counts AMAL-Québec welcomed the initiative.

“It is obvious that when the call to hate, demonize, and dehumanize certain groups becomes commonplace, it has the effect of accentuating attitudes filled with prejudice and stereotypes,” said AMAL president Haroun Bouazzi, before the Commission des institutions at the National Assembly in Quebec City.

For anyone uncertain about what “the call to hate, demonize, and dehumanize certain groups” means, just read a koran, the hadiths and the Sunna, or book of the life of Islam’s founder, Mohamed. Alternativly, sit in for a week or so at any mosque and listen to the sermons. Maybe bring a tape recorder so you can have the Arabic bits translated later.

One might wonder if this particular pernicious individual is so dangerous to real liberty and the Enlightenment if he had caught the notice of any of the Counter-Jihadists before?

This is an interview with the President of the Quebec Human Rights Commission. In it, he appears to be saying that Quebec, or Canada, is going to be implementing something which looks a whole lot like the criminalization of criticism of Islam.

I would like to remind every man, woman, child and bureaucrat that freedom of speech was implemented for one thing in the West. To criticize religious and political authority. That once you limit that freedom even one little bit, all other freedoms of speech will diminish exponentially, because all things can be seen as functions of islamic observance.

Suspects open fire on officers outside Dallas Police HQ

DALLAS (AP) — Multiple gunmen toting automatic weapons opened fire on officers outside Dallas Police headquarters early Saturday morning, before one man fled the scene being chased by police in what witnesses described as an armored van, according to Dallas Police Chief David Brown.

Brown said the suspect driving the van has told officers that he blames police for losing custody of his son and “accusing him of being a terrorist.” The gunman also said he had explosives in the van, which appeared to be outfitted with gun ports in the sides.

Brown said negotiations with that suspect and the SWAT unit are ongoing. No injuries were reported.

Brown said, based on witness accounts, as many as four suspects may have been involved in the original shooting, including some who may have been strategically positioned at elevated positions. Police could not immediately confirm how many shooters were involved and where any additional suspects may be located.

Meanwhile, Brown said police also found four bags outside police headquarters, including one that held a pipe bomb that later exploded. He said police were evacuating nearby residents as a precaution

1. Statement by one of the ‘community leaders’ who saw the video which flatly contradicts all the claims by the muslims about the shooting of the Boston Terror tard. He was not shot in the back, he was not on a cell phone talking to his father.

2. Muslim says the video is inconclusive. He is the only one though but he does admit that the terror-tard wasn’t shot in the back or at a bus stop.

Jon Ritzheimer–organizer of the Phoenix “Draw Muhammad” contest scheduled for 6 p.m. Friday night–will have to cut his own attendance at the event short in order to stay home and protect his family after his home address was published, and his wife and children were threatened.

Person 1:

Makes reasonable condemnation and even appears to say that the attackers are not real muslims

Person 2:

Blames Pamela Geller and her organization for disrupting the “peace of our city” and accuses her of inciting hatred. At no point does he say anything bad about the attack or the attackers.

Person 3:

Speaks about the horrible condition for muslims in Texas because of the backlash that isn’t happening and never does happen due to an attack muslims did.

In this video, the muslim naturally blames the people at the conference for inciting the attack so it is their fault. He goes on to claim that the US converts to Islam were really reacting to 30 years of American war on muslims. As if these attackers were refugees from a war torn country and had some kind of PTSD from it and felt they needed to ‘defend islam’ etc. It gets worse after that.

In a way, this is a brilliant example of the inherent hypocrisy of modern leftism, even to the point of a kind of oxymoron. But logical curios aside, this is a sterling example of how muslims come to destroy our cooperative civilization to advantage themselves and Islamic sensibilities.

Of course it will be argued that anyone can launch a lawsuit for any reason they want and in and of itself, this means nothing. And usually that is correct. But then one can’t help but notice patterns of similar law suits by muslims across the world which are often won to the great expense of employers and their customers ultimately, and in terms of Western law and regulations which must be continuously bent and twisted to the serious advantage of muslim employees. Examples are legion but this site lists a few.

FEDEX in Toronto lost a suit over a dress code issue where the muslim employees violated actual safety regulations and sued and won when told to conform to Ontario rules concerning loose clothing on ladders.

Ones concerning breaks and special space and times for prayer are becoming too numerous to list.

A Muslim prayer was recited at the start of the second day of the White House summit on “Countering Violent Extremism,” but no other religious text was presented during the portion of the event that was open to the press.

Imam Sheikh Sa’ad Musse Roble, president of the World Peace Organization in Minneapolis, Minn., recited a “verse from the Quran” following remarks by Obama administration officials and Democratic members of Congress.

This is a fascinating clip. Please watch it all the way through before passing any kind of judgment. One of the first curious things I noticed, was an odd sense of suspicion about this imam because early on I noticed he was using reason. Something which is anathema to islam overall.

A few times this site has alluded to the ‘wedge strategy’ and even spoken about what I call, ‘Government imams’. I would suggest this is one of them.

A one on one debate between this man and Robert Spencer would be one for the books although I believe I have seen something like it before, where Robert is arguing for the demonstrably true nature of islam using reason, islamic scripture and islamic history, against an imam who is trying to retroactively rewrite the islamic narrative in order to achieve an outcome most of us would agree with.

I would love it if this worked. But it won’t, it can’t and frankly I think this contributes to motivating young cultural muslims and other young people to join up with the jihadis because of the moral outrage when it is discovered that governments and government sponsored mosques and imams, (not saying this one is but betting it is) are discovered to be exactly that, peddling an acceptable version of islam, easily discoverable to be untrue by even a cursory look at the scripture and facts. For example abrogation is in the koran itself.  While this imam does an admirable job of trying to undo the horrific and incalculable damage the concept has done to humanity and the world, it remains right there in the koran clear as day.

Thanks to a commenter, ‘Just a thought’, it would appear that someone who looks very similar and who’s name is the same except the last part of it has been changed to ‘From Egypt’ (Al Masry) may have been in the news before where a woman who rebuked his offer to make her his 4th wife or temporary whore annoyed him so much he called her a Jew.

Oklahoma police chief shot multiple times during bomb threat

WASHITA COUNTY, Oklahoma -Officials confirmed with News 9 that the Chief of Police in Sentinel, Oklahoma, was shot multiple times while investigating a bomb threat Thursday morning. Classes have also been canceled at the Sentinel Public Schools due to the threat.

According to the Mayor of Sentinel, a bomb threat was called into the Community Action Center, the head start program, Thursday morning. As a precaution, Sentinel Public Schools canceled classes at all schools on Thursday.

Police found out where the call came from and went to that house.  However, the resident would not let police inside. So they broke down the door, according to the Mayor.

Comparing and contrasting investigations into destroyed buildings.

There is one I did not put into this video, as the video was specifically for the case the Baron over at Gates has been tracking for all of us. The very important case of what looks a lot like a government, in the form of Homeland Security, coverup over the exploded building in Minneapolis, and that omission is the massive explosion of a home in Greely Ontario where the explosion was so loud it could be heard over 25 kilometers away. People I know living near Bank St. South in Ottawa personally heard this explosion. The most recent news from the police is that it was not a meth lab or marijuana grow operation. But dead silence from about 4 days after the explosion right up to an hour ago when I last checked.

Meanwhile, have a look at what happens when a building gets ruined and it doesn’t appear to be terrorism. They make sure it stays up long enough for the investigation. Then compare that to the Somali center in Mineapolis and the mysterious 3 buildings in Greely flattened by an explosion.

Below, CBC video from Oct. 9. Since then, police started describing this event as a “fire” and not an explosion. It would have to have been the loudest and fastest fire in Earth’s history since Mount Vesuvius swallowed Pompeii I suspect.
