Critical updates to the trial of Ottawa Police Detective, Helen Grus

Yesterday was to be the last day of these hearings over accusations of misconduct for an officer that dared do her job as it is described, and as it always was. Much like the CPSO hearings waged against doctors that put patient health over state diktats on mRNA injections and various other measures over the last few years, this officer has been made to stand down for actually investigating a cluster of 9 infant deaths and checking a possible mRNA vaxx link to the nursing mothers.

For the post on this from Monday with the basics on how we got to this point, please click here. If you are already familiar with this case, continue on.

Below is a new interview with retired Toronto PD detective, Donald Best, filmed Friday at the Lunch break after a morning of procedurally bizarre testimony and obsessive objections by both the prosecution, and even the officer playing the role of judge.

Additional information about one aspect of this hearing is as follows:

Prosecutor: Vanessa Stewart

Witness: Detective Constable Renee Stewart

Renee Stewart is married to Vanessa’s brother- making them sisters-in-law.

Believe it or not, this is far from the only conflicts of interest in this case.

Dr. Mary O’Connor was present at the hearings and I had the opportunity to ask her what she thought of it, given that she had undergone a similar quasi-legal set of hearings with very real consequences.

RAIR Foundation has the write up here.

Laura Lynn Tyler Thompson asked me to say a few words on her show last night about this trial and what I thought it meant. Anyone interested may wish to start at 54 minutes in to the video.

Bottom lining it: Doctors are now punished for practicing medicine in the best interests of the health of the patient, when it goes against state diktats and ideology. Police are now in the exact same position, that when they do an investigation which is 100% within their job description, and more importantly, is actually what the public expects police to do, they are also punished for the exact same reasons.

Canada’s Deputy PM explains to a graduating class that the time of “capitalist Democracy” is over

Remember, when a communist tells you anything true, it is to hide, or lubricate a bigger lie. In this case some of the lies she is trying to grease past you, are the problems that this new socialism/communism is going to fix. Global warming is simply a lie. Like Nuclear Winter was, and so many other scams, global warming is the lie being used to justify removing any individual rights or chances at happiness through natural means, or prosperity through your own efforts. In other words, she promises nothing less than the end of rational systems of distribution of wealth. And this has consequences far far beyond just how much money you get to make. This is the stuff of Nazis and North Koreans. Soviets and the Communist Chinese. These people are using the formula of thesis, counter-thesis, synthesis to create problems for which they can then apply what they want, claiming it to be a solution. It is why Trudeau is bringing in millions upon millions of third world unskilled migrants and not openly doing anything about feeding and housing them. They want the problem. When Trudeau says to premiers and mayors that these are local problems, it isn’t like he doesn’t know, and they don’t know he has created this problem. The fact that Ford and various mayors don’t bother to explain any of this to us is one of the many things that should freaking horrify us.

I could write a detailed essay with a lot of predictive value about what she had to say. Clyde’s analysis is solid as far as it goes. Frankly though, this entire blog is an essay about what she just said.

Anyone looking to have a greater understanding of what is taking place is well advised to read this Stephen Coughlin essay, and watch the interview with him below.

This appears to be the speech she gave. note the observation by the Twitterer:

And this is another anti-free market speech of hers from eight years ago

data points for a communist Canada within a 30 second walk of an Ottawa neighborhood

First of all, in yesterday’s post On the Catholic Church, globalism, and vaxx policies the main video was censored by YouTube. We have restored it, so if you have not seen it yet, please click through to see what it is that YouTube feels the public should not see from a classical Catholic.

On to the subject at hand:

In communism, everything is political. This makes sense in as much as you can’t take total control of everyone’s thoughts if you can’t claim all thoughts have political consequences. The following photos were sent in to this site yesterday, and were all taken within a block of each other in an Ottawa neighbourhood.

This first one is interesting in it’s use of architects as a revolutionary force. This has been used before of course. (Cough cough Albert Speer.) So black fist, classic communist revolutionary symbol, on red field. Classic communist colour. The wording seems typical of communist ambiguous equity messaging although frankly we have no idea what it is or means. It is probably a movement to create a dialectic that the government is obliged to create housing for all the people it is illegally bringing in to Canada and putting on the streets to make Canadians uncomfortable and demanding a solution, which of course means public housing at their expense as opposed to removing them all from Canada as illegals. Thesis, counter-thesis, synthesis. But hey we could be wrong. Maybe the black fist on a red field demanding being against housing alienation is really a call for individual rights and less government. Wadda we know.

This next one is nicely layered.

The messaging seems refreshingly libertarian. But as it’s on what appears to be an Amer-Indian owned and operated marijuana shop, one might suspect that they are able to use that language where Canadians of European decent may not. In fact, I would guess this dope shop would be closed in an hour if it was operated by classical Canadians na claimed to be exercising constitutional rights to sovereign land. Although, Canada’s constitution in fact doesn’t actually grant the right to private property. So not sure what rights they mean. Unless Amer-Indians do have special rights to land? No idea. Either way, its quite interesting to see on a store front.

I think I will refrain from comment on this next one. But to check the little symbols of who sponsors this please.

A critical video from the gov’t of Ontario from January 2022 concerning the CPSO and the new rules

One of the concepts that this site deals with repeatedly is the notion that a communist revolution has indeed taken place in North America. Many people now concede that to one degree or another, this is indeed the case. Many more will deny it but agree that appears to be the direction the country is headed in.

The difference in opinion is usually rooted in a number of factors. What a given person is prepared to accept, but also how people define communist and compare that definition to what they see around us. At this point let me say that it is no accident that so many who came to North America from the former Soviet Union or behind the Iron Curtain are far more likely to agree with the proposition that we are communist now than most native-born in North America. And that is because they recognize it. Even if they don’t understand the machinery that make it such. But they recognize the language, the discomforting divide between what we know is true and what we are are told to believe, and the galloping power of the state with the simultaneous diminishment of the individual, even in the minds of those still plugged in to CBC, CTV, Global News and to a lesser degree perhaps, all the subsidized print media.

So let us offer the metric on what makes us communist here:

What makes North America a communist polity, is that it no longer operates on lines of truth, evidence and democratically created institutions for the purpose of serving the public and defending the rights and liberties of the public. Instead, it operates dialectically. In practical terms, this means that the purpose of these institutions is now to grow the power of the state and enforce state narratives, especially when they are harmful and untrue. This being one definition of dialectic. The other being an entirely different system of thought in which you take two opposites and use them to cancel each other out and create a new ‘synthesis’ which later will likely be used to cancel itself out in the next round of dialectic negation/destruction. You can see that with mass immigration and many other contemporary programs in play daily. There is also what would be seen on the ground as selective enforcement such that any actions which advance the left are encouraged and not punished when illegal, while any legal actions by the defenders of Western thought and liberties which inhibit the power of the left and the direction of the revolution will be punished and even framed as criminal when in fact they where not, and many orders of magnitude less so than similar actions by the left.

The point of all three of these definitions of the dialectic is to move the culture to the left at all costs, and in all ways.

Please watch the following video from January 2022 from the Government of Ontario directed at the College of Surgeons and Physicians of Ontario, and break it down in the comments. Anyone who has watched even 20 minutes of the various ‘trials’ of doctors who using their best judgement tried to save patients from taking the mRNA shots by the colleges (anyone who still believes these shots are not dangerous and were a good policy along with mandating them, please click over to CBC. They need the support) would recognize the rhetoric in this video becoming the modus operandi of the tribunals.

When we were a democracy, the universal slogan, even on PSA ads on TV if you go far enough back, was to go get a second opinion, when considering a course of medical action. Now it is that all medical advice has to be a direct quote from public policy no matter how dangerous that advice is, and doctors who fail to submit will be punished. For the moment by career death. We can guess what comes next for them and all who refuse to obey state diktats. But this one example shows brilliantly how we went from a Western nation derived from Aristotle, to a communist one based perhaps on Plato, and certainly Hegel/Marx.

Increasingly, banks are debanking people for wrongthink

For the “How communist are we” files. This is no joke. This is also a data point indicating that the UK is a communist polity. Once is an anomoly and twice is a coincidence. But this is policy. Canada’s freezing accounts of people who donated to a legal at that time, protest at Parliament hill was celebrated by the useful idiots of the left. But it will be them next the moment government policies create a line they themselves will not cross.

Canadian municipalities declare themselves 15 minute cities, small farmers will become Kulaks

Only fact checked one aspect of this so far, but so far it checks out.

Ottawa, a 15 minute city

Introduced in the ‘Five Big Moves’, the principles of 15-minute neighbourhoods are integral to the strategic directions contained in Ottawa’s Draft New Official Plan. The concept of 15-minute neighbourhoods supports a variety of objectives relating to intensification, economic development, energy and climate change, gender equity, and culture. Additionally, planning for 15-minute neighbourhoods represents a critical means of embedding health resiliency in planning in order to achieve healthier, more inclusive communities.

15-minute neighbourhoods are compact, well-connected places with a clustering of a diverse mix of land-uses; this includes a range of housing types, shops, services, local access to food, schools and day care facilities, employment, greenspaces, parks and pathways. They are complete communities that support active transportation and transit, reduce car dependency, and enable people to live car-light or car free.

The 15-minute neighbourhood study is the first step at understanding the components of a 15-minute neighbourhood as they evolve across Ottawa’s urban, suburban, and rural transects. This study of 15-minute neighbourhoods is composed primarily of two different mapping exercises. One looking at access to available services and amenities; and the other focusing on the safety and enjoyability of the pedestrian environment with respect to walking to these services and amenities.

(Could be worse. Imagine if we weren’t vaccinated didn’t ‘win’ the last municipal election in Ottawa)

Here is a link to the local council with references to Green Space Alliance without saying much about what it is. Also lots of climate change bollux in it.

The following is from here:

It’s all still ruddy mysterious though. Can’t figure out what the “Green Space Alliance” changes to the land use laws will be yet.

Jordan Peterson and his scheduled struggle session

Today in Toronto is a protest around noon for Dr. Peterson. Here is a post with the details. Meanwhile last night some activists made it clear how they felt about it.

Outside and against the wall of the College of Psychologists:

Here is Gad Saad on the matter:

Probably the bit to pay attention to is around the middle. NONE of the complainants were or are patients of his.

On Meagan Kelly, they discuss the terms and conditions for Dr. Peterson to ‘redeem’ himself. These terms should make it clear that this is a Struggle Session requiring self-denouncement, and that Canada increasingly is a Maoist communist state.

So. About Mao:

It is time for all who love Freedom to come support Jordan Peterson, Toronto, January 11th 2023

If anyone is in or near Toronto and able to attend this protest tomorrow, this may be the time to throw your hat in the ring.

In our opinion, Canada has been transformed into a Maoist revolutionary state over at least the last decade. All depending on when you want to start charting it. Michael Hansen’s movie from 2019 called Killing Canada has several sections in it which now look a little different than they did then. More in focus. Then it was horrifying political correctness and punishment for wrong-think. Now it looks like a well planned Maoist revolution. Pay special attention to the parts with the comedian who was taken down by the “Canadian Human Rights Commissions”. Perhaps the first places to be captured by the communists. See Michael’s movie in full at the end of this post.

Killing Canada

Retired Ontario Lawyer details some of the horrors of ‘institutional capture’

It isn’t just the colleges for doctors which no longer serve the public interest, but are now weapons of state power. It appears to be the Law Societies as well, which look one way when a lawyer defends one who supports individual rights, and looks another when people break laws to enforce the new collectivism.

Please read the details at RAIR Foundation.

There is a chance we will do a series with Ari on a few related issues. So comments, as always, most welcome.

Statement Regarding Charge Laid Against John Carpay

The following article by the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms is perhaps some of the best evidence of the replacement of rule of law with an authoritarian Marxism we have seen so far. A lawyer, who gathered evidence of the flagrant and cynical (to put it lightly) disregard for the violations of Covid restrictions is now the subject of criminal charges. It is also typical to see law and procedure used in a new way in the West. To inconvinience and stress the target in the maximal way. When once, people of good charachter could be informed to turn themselves in after a holiday or special event, we now see in the US, CNN trucks parked across the street ready for an FBI raid early in the morning on elderly citizens who backed a political opponent that is a threat to the revolution.

We recently interviewed a lawyer who has 20 years experience in litigation in Ontario who firmly believes the rule of law is dead. It is difficult not to believe it when you read things like this.

Please read the following press release from the JCCF:

Calgary: Today, the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms issued the following statement concerning the charge laid against John Carpay by the Winnipeg Police:
During the height of Covid restrictions and lockdowns, it was reported that key members of Manitoba’s leadership were breaching public health regulations. As was already reported at the time, John Carpay made the unilateral decision to hire an investigator to ascertain the credibility of these claims in June 2021.

The Justice Centre’s statement on these events in June 2022 stated:

“Mr. Carpay’s decision to conduct surveillance of Manitoba government officials followed a number of high-profile instances where those who imposed and enforced lockdown restrictions were themselves found violating their own rules, partying on rooftops, ignoring rules about face masks and social distancing, and jetting off to exotic holiday locations to countries without Covid restrictions. This flagrant flaunting of standards took place while Canadians faced unprecedented restrictions on their Charter-guaranteed freedoms to travel, assemble, associate with others, and worship.”

Mr. Carpay took full responsibility without reservation for his actions and apologized to Chief Justice Joyal in a public court hearing on July 12, 2021.

On Friday, December 30, 2022, the Justice Centre was made aware of a warrant for the arrest of John Carpay. This warrant was apparently issued in connection with the events that took place in 2021 and alleges obstruction of justice. When he was made aware of this warrant, Mr. Carpay immediately turned himself into Calgary Police Services.

This charge is unexpected and without explanation. The events at issue took place over 18 months ago, and police have not previously contacted Mr. Carpay nor the Justice Centre. Mr. Carpay has been cooperating with the investigation of this matter by the Law Society of Manitoba.  At the time of the events, the Justice Centre Board of Directors also took appropriate steps to strengthen governance and oversight of the organization while Mr. Carpay took a seven-week leave of absence

The Justice Centre is deeply disappointed by the decision of Winnipeg Police to lay a criminal charge for events that took place more than 18 months ago and that are already being dealt with appropriately. It is doubly disappointing that it was decided that these actions should take place during the holiday season when Mr. Carpay is spending time with his family. Oddly, Mr. Carpay’s sole bail condition states that he cannot contact Chief Justice Joyal, an individual that Mr. Carpay has not had any communication with apart from the apologies that he issued in 2021.

Despite these proceedings, the work of the Justice Centre will continue unhindered to defend citizens’ constitutional rights and freedoms under the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms by providing legal representation to Canadians free of charge. The Justice Centre’s work is focussed on defending Canada’s free society, including Canadians’ freedoms of conscience, religion, expression, association and peaceful assembly, as well as their right to life, liberty, and the security of the person. In particular, the Justice Centre has been active in response to governments’ severe Covid lockdowns and restrictions which stopped Canadians from gathering, worshiping, associating, working, traveling and peaceful assembly.

The entire Justice Centre team remains steadfastly committed to defending the constitutional freedoms of Canadians.

On Western leaders dismantling our polities

First, please pay attention to this excellent video by Neil Oliver

Then consider what Trudeau said, out loud, on at least two occasions. First to the New York Times:

And then what he said on as TV show in Quebec before he was even elected PM in 2006. I still want to know what book he is talking about. I bet it was Klaus Schwabb’s. Still looking for this whole show. All we can tell is the interviewer is named Seamus, and it was in 2006. Here is a reference to what he said, but not when and where he said it or with who. Quite odd.

UPDATE: Reader, PePi found this!

The book was: Citizen of the World: The Life of Pierre Elliott Trudeau which is about Trudeau’s gloabalist crap
The eldest son of former prime minister Pierre Trudeau is belittling nationalism as an “old idea from the 19th century” that is not relevant to today’s Quebec.

“Nationalism is based on a smallness of thought,” Justin Trudeau said in an interview broadcast on CTV’s Canada AM on Thursday.
“(It) builds up barriers between peoples, that has nothing to do with the Canada we should be building.”
He was being interviewed about a new book about his father titled Citizen of the World: The Life of Pierre Elliott Trudeau.
Although for the most part Mr. Trudeau talked about the book written by history professor John English, he digressed into the debate on Quebec’s place in Canada that erupted last weekend when Liberal leadership front runner Michael Ignatieff supported the idea of recognizing Quebec as a nation.
“I’m supposed to be, sort of quiet on this,” an almost sheepish Mr. Trudeau said.
Mr. Trudeau didn’t directly mention the debate in the party his father led for nearly two decades, but he appeared to think the nation issue was not a good one to get tied up in.
“Unfortunately, some people these days are wrapped up in this idea of nation for Quebec, which stands against everything my father ever believed,” Mr. Trudeau said. “We need to start looking forward.”

The elites begin to mock our desires for the basics

For those of you who have been with this site for some time, you may remember a document we once published by the Rockefeller Foundation in 2010. It had a chapter called, “Operation Lockstep”. In it, the document revealed that the various things that would be implemented around the world would be more or less simultaniously applied world-wide, but they would adjust details to make it more palatable sounding and effective to whatever local culture to which it was being applied.

Put simply, if you think what you hear in the video below is just a German problem, your in for some cold cold mornings.
