U.S. Islamic leaders won’t try to formally excommunicate the Islamist Boko Haram group unless they can meet with its leadership to debate the religious legitimacy of its actions, a spokesman for a leading mosque told The Daily Caller.
“There is a great reluctance to excommunicate someone by extension. … It would be like convicting someone in absentia,” said Imam Johari Abdul-Malik, the spokesman for the “Home of the Migrants” mosque, or Dar Al Hijrah mosque, in Falls Church Va. If crimes have been committed, the Nigerian government should punish the individuals, he added.
There is an op-ed at the Calgary Herald which is ludicrously untrue in terms of the nature and history of Islam and the motives for the now over and mis-reported slave raid by Boko Haram. So it should come as no surprise that the Herald saw fit to not have a comments section under it, as it certainly seems to for other articles. So I decided to add my comment about the Boko Haram article under one about impending pet restrictions.

Since the Calgary Herald did not have the integrity to allow comments under the article by Sabahat Ali on Boko Haram called, ‘Antitehtical to Islam, i thought I would do the courtesy of leaving one here about it.
Islam was started by forced conversions. Even the famous letter by the Emperor of Persia responding to islamic armies giving the traditional 3 choices to that empire, convert, live as 2nd class citizens under Islamic rule or face war is mass forced conversion. Many European leaders during the various phases of jihad against Europe in the middle ages record the various forced conversions. Check out Janissaries for that matter. Thousands of young boys taken by force by islamic armies and made to conevrt to islam. Today in Iraq, Egypt and any other country ruled by Muslims where there is a significant population of non-muslims left, Christians and so on are being taken as slaves, forcibly converted and having all human rights removed.
As for the entire life of Mohamed as an example, I’m afraid Mr. Ali is confusing Mohamed with Jesus. Mohamed had a dozen ‘wives’ one as young as six. Hardly old enough to consent t a lifetime sexual commitment etc. and any number of women sex slaves taken as war booty so long as they were not muslims. In one famous case, Mohamed slaughtered a man and his son in front of the woman that was the wife and mother of these men, and then had a ceremony performed and ‘married’ her that night. Muslims sometimes use this as a dodge to claim islam is not antisemitic as the woman was Jewish.
I recommend that people do study the life of Mohamed. Knowing how he lived, and the fact that he is sold to believers as the perfect example for all mankind, allows one to understand perfectly what we see today world wide.
It seems to me that articles like this with no opportunity to respond is the first stage of blasphemy laws in Canada protecting Islam, and islam only. And worse, not just on matters of belief, but on matters of historical fact and dogma.
When you read the article linked here, Please try and imagine that Christians armed with AK47s and grenades smashed their way into a high school in Edmonton and kidnapped over 200 girls and forced them to become sex slaves and think on how the media would handle it. Almost proves the majority of the Western legacy media is both communist and racist in terms of how they deal with this issue.
This year alone, an estimated 1,5000 people have been killed in attacks attributed to Boko Haram. All teaching was suspended in Borno several weeks ago. In a reaction to the increasing frequency of attacks by the Islamist extremists against schools they regard as western-oriented. The kidnapped schoolgirls had only just returned to their boarding school to take their final examinations.
Kidnappers were disguised as soldiers
The kidnappers claimed to be soldiers who had come to take the students to a place of safety as they had been alerted to an imminent attack. Only when they had boarded the waiting trucks and buses did the girls realize they were being kidnapped. Some escaped by jumping out of the moving trucks. The others were taken to an unknown destination.
Fear is growing among parents that their children’s schools could be targeted
There are reports that Boko Haram extremists deliberately kidnapped schoolgirls in the past to force them to work for them and abuse them as ‘sex slaves.’

A Christian nursery nurse has lost her job after a conversation in which a gay colleague pressed her about her beliefs, and then took offence when told that the Bible regards the practice of homosexualty as a sin.
Sarah Mbuyi is claiming unfair dismissal on grounds of religious discrimination.
She says that in January 2014 her colleague at Newpark Childcare in Highbury, London, initiated a conversation about Christmas and went on to ask a number of other questions relating to the Christian faith. In this context, Miss Mbuyi’s colleague raised the issue of what the bible teaches on homosexuality. The colleague felt unhappy that she could not marry her female partner because of the church, and said that she thought God condoned homosexuality.
Miss Mbuyi explained: “When I said no God does not condone the practice of homosexuality, but does love you and says you should come to Him as you are, she became emotional and went off to report me to my manager.”
At an internal disciplinary hearing Sarah was confronted with her colleague’s allegations, which included the false claim that Sarah herself had raised the issue of homosexuality on a number of occasions.
Sarah says she was wholly unprepared for such distorted allegations which left her feeling shocked. The result was that the nursery directors instantly dismissed Sarah for gross misconduct.
There is so much logically wrong with everything that took place and at so many levels. For one thing, the lesbian could just as easily make up her own god or gods and explain that being a nun was offensive to them. Why is it that she causes misery to a woman who meant her no harm and who’s beliefs are voluntary? This lesbian was on a crusade. And that is the sole motive for her actions. Cultural Marxist totalitarian determination to scrub the world of all that doesn’t fit her narrative. And I would bet quite a bit that the lesbian is the one who thinks she is the tolerant one.

(Reuters) – A morning rush hour bomb killed at least 71 people at a Nigerian bus station on the outskirts of the capital on Monday, raising concerns about the spread of an Islamist insurgency after the deadliest ever attack on Abuja.
President Goodluck Jonathan pointed the finger of suspicion at Boko Haram, although there was no immediate claim of responsibility from the Islamist militants who are active mainly in the northeast. As well as the dead, police said 124 were wounded in the first attack on the federal capital in two years.

1. 17 killed as Boko Haram bombs market in Borno
KANO – At least 17 people have been killed by an explosion in a village market in Borno State in an attack blamed on Boko Haram Islamists, a local police chief said on Sunday.
The deadly blast struck a busy marketplace late on Thursday in the remote village of Nguro-Soye, injuring many more, said police chief Lawan Tanko.
News on the attack was slow to emerge after insurgents destroyed nearby telecom towers, shutting down communications in the area.
