Iran funding sympathetic professors at US universities

From ivarfjeld

Iran is financing «sympathetic» professors at American universities through an Islamic charity based in Manhattan, the New York Post reported on Monday.

The US greed for oil has flushed Islamic nations with money. Now the dollars returns to the US to purchase American supporters of Islam.

The Alavi Foundation, a multimillion-dollar organization funded in large part by Iran, has funneled hundreds of thousands of dollars to Columbia University and Rutgers University programs for Middle Eastern and Persian studies that hire professors with clear anti-Israel and pro-Iranian views.

«We found evidence that the government of Iran really controlled everything about the foundation», said Adam Kaufmann, investigations chief at the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, which recently filed an action to seize USD 650 million in assets from the charity.

Yes, he was screaming ‘Allahu Ackbar” as he tried to force his way into the cockpit.

But why does the mass media, the people who have a responsibility to inform us of important facts we need to know to make good decisions and keep ourselves safe, why did they delete that information?

One news report actually did say he was yelling something but clearly deliberately did not say what he was yelling, which was Allah hu Ackbar according to all the actual eye witnesses not told not to report that apparently.

New mosque proposed for downtown Ottawa

Where is the Canadian Gavin Boby please. Someone needs to represent liberal democracy against the institutional hate crime which is a mosque. Anyone in Ottawa who does not agree, I suggest you go a couple of times and listen to a sermon. Especially the ones they try and not let you sit in on unless you are convincing. This article also claims that it will offer services to any and all denominations. A common trick Muslim groups use to get permission and government funding to force non-secular institutions into secular sectors of life like airports. But I think by now most of us know what happens when non-Muslims attempt to use these ‘interfaith rooms and buildings’. Check out your local airport for example and try and bring in a bible or a buddhist rosary. Watch what happens to your statue of Jesus or Chinrezig right after you leave.

But it may be a shock it’s considered a “spiritual hub” to many Muslims in the downtown core. Continue Reading →

Multicultural Toronto Mosque Promotes Xtreme Sharia Compliance: Stoning, Cutting Off Hands, Sedition

Blazing Cat Fur once again does the job for free, that others get paid massive amounts to pretend to do, while studiously ignoring it:

The Khalid Bin Al Walid Mosque is located on Bethridge Rd. in Etobicoke, near the neighborhood now known as “Little Somalia” and serves that community. I live in Etobicoke, so does Mayor Ford, in fact I grew up here. I attended high school at what was then known as Keiller MacKay Collegiate. The old neighborhood sure has changed.

So what has unfettered immigration and the lie of multiculturalism brought to our fair city? Read this document entitled “Violations of Islam” published on the Khalid Mosque web site and judge for yourself.

Here are a some highlights.

(b) To say that enforcing the punishments prescribed by Allah, such as cutting off the hand of a thief or stoning an adulterer, is not suitable in this day and age.

Supporting and aiding polytheists against the Muslims.

My Favourite; To believe…”that lslam is the cause of the backwardness of Muslims.”

Update: The boys at Khalid Bin have removed the article from their site😉

Mosques as Barracks in America

As promised, and a day early.

From Andrew Bostom:

June 5th, 2011  by Andrew Bostom |

The Islamic Center of Toledo Mosque and Minarets

Cross-posted at The American Thinker

Turkish Prime Minister Erdogan represents the triumphant Janus-faced approach to the fundamentalist global “Islamic revival.” He and his pious forbears have now completed dismantling Turkey’s secular experiment, and achieved the full-throated re-Islamization of Turkish society, an insidious process begun already within the decade after Ataturk’s death, in 1938.  When currying favor with gullible Western audiences, Erdogan burbles disingenuous ecumenical platitudes about the “Alliance of Civilizations.” But in reality, this is an Islamization campaign promoted by the Organization of the Islamic Conference, notably Saudi Arabia, which rewarded Erdogan, for his role in the Alliance, specifically, as “services to Islam,” with the “King Faisal International Prize,” considered the “Nobel prize” of the Arab world. Regardless, Erdogan has always aroused his Muslim constituencies by brazenly appealing to their deep-seated jihadist sentiments as he did while mayor of Istanbul, in 1997, delivering a fiery speech that reminded the masses of these words from the  poem “The Soldier’s Prayer,” written (in 1912) by Turkish nationalist poet Ziya Gokalp:

The minarets are our bayonets, the domes our helmets, the mosques our barracks and the faithful our army.

Cited appropriately by successful opponents of minaret construction in Switzerland, such rhetoric should now resonate uncomfortably in America with the online release Monday June 6, 2011 of alarming survey data from a representative national sample of US mosques.

During August 2007, the New York City Police Department (NYPD) released “Radicalization in the West — The Homegrown Threat.” This insightful 90-page report evaluated the threat that had become apparent since 9/11/2001, analyzing the roots of recent terror plots in the United States, from Lackawanna in upstate New York to Portland, Ore., to Fort Dix, NJ. Based upon these case-study analyses of individuals arrested for jihadist activity, the authors concluded that the “journey” of radicalization that produces homegrown jihadists began in so-called “Salafist” (“fundamentalist” to non-Muslims) mosques characterized by high levels of Sharia—Islamic Law—adherence. The landmark study just published, “Sharia and Violence in American Mosques” (Kedar M, Yerushalmi D. The Middle East Quarterly, Summer 2011, Vol. 18, No. 3, pp. 59-72) sought to expand considerably upon the NYPD’s post-hoc, case study approach—systematically gathering objective survey data, with much greater methodological rigor—and address these two a priori questions: I) Is there a robust association between observable measures of religious devotion, coupled to Sharia-adherence in US mosques, and the presence of violence-sanctioning materials at these mosques?; and II) Is there a robust association between the presence of violence-sanctioning materials at a mosque, and the advocacy of jihadism by the mosque’s leadership via recommending the study of these materials, or other manifest behaviors?

Full details of the sampling methodology, extracts of representative jihad promoting materials (texts), and specific Sharia-compliant behaviors recorded, are provided in the accompanying appendices, reproduced from the full study (which will be available here 6/6/11). In brief, survey data were collected from a nationally representative, random statistical sample of 100 US mosques, covering 14 states, and the District of Columbia. This concise overview of the basic data collection procedures—including a self-critical, honest caveat by the authors about “completeness” of the available information on US mosque locations—is reproduced verbatim from the report (p. 68):

A surveyor visited a subject mosque in order: (a) to observe and record 12 Sharia-adherent behaviors of the worshipers and the imam (or lay leader); (b) to observe whether the mosque contained the selected materials rated as moderate and severe; (c) to observe whether the mosque contained materials promoting, praising, or supporting violence or violent jihad; and (d) to observe whether the mosque contained materials indicating the mosque had invited guest speakers known to have promoted violent jihad. Thus, the survey only examined the presence of Sharia-adherent behaviors, the presence of violence positive materials in mosques, whether an imam would promote the study of violence-positive materials, and whether a mosque was used as a forum to promote violent jihad. Since there is no central body to which all mosques belong, it was difficult to ascertain that the sampling universe list was complete. This may have introduced bias into the sampling although the authors find no evidence of any systemic distortions.

The study’s results provide clear—and ominous—affirmative answers to the a priori questions posed. Sharia-adherence was strongly associated with the presence of jihad-violence sanctioning materials, and the presence of jihad-violence sanctioning materials was in turn robustly associated with advocacy of jihadism by mosque imams—religious leaders. This key summary finding was highlighted by the authors:

…51 percent of mosques had texts that either advocated the use of violence in the pursuit of a Shari‘a-based political order or advocated violent jihad as a duty that should be of paramount importance to a Muslim; 30 percent had only texts that were moderately supportive of violence like the Tafsir Ibn Kathir and Fiqh as-Sunna; 19 percent had no violent texts at all.

Thus 81% of this statistical sample representative of US mosques were deemed as moderately (30%) to highly (51%) supportive of promulgating jihad violence to impose Shari’a.

Additional profoundly troubling findings emerge when the data are explored in depth beyond these summary observations. For example, only 4.7% of Muslim worshippers attended mosques where jihadist materials were not provided because Sharia-compliant mosques promoting jihad were the most heavily attended. The authors also describe these specific details indicating that the preponderance of US mosques sanction jihad terrorism and its ultimate goal of a Caliphate (i.e., the transnational imposition of strict Islamic law in current Muslim nations, and ultimately global imposition of Islamic Law, including in the US), if one includes advocacy of financial support for this sacralized violence (from pp. 67-69).

Accused Paris bomber faces Canada extradition

Ottawa U really needs to hire some better professors.

From Expatica.com

A Canadian court is set to announce Monday its decision on whether or not to allow the extradition of accused Paris synagogue bomber Hassan Diab to France to face prosecution.

The Canadian-Lebanese national was arrested in a suburb of Canada’s capital at the request of French authorities in November 2008 for his alleged role in a 1980 Paris bombing that killed three Frenchmen and a young Israeli woman, and injured dozens.

French prosecutors want him extradited to face charges of murder, attempted murder and willful destruction of property. Continue Reading →

Amir Khadir ridicules the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge calling them parasites.

Editorial.

Canadian MLA Amir Khadir is at it again. When he’s not leading a group of Jew-haters and leftist radicals to weekly harass a private shoe store owner in Montreal for selling Israeli-made shoes, or tossing his own jackboots at photographs of George W. Bush outside the U.S. Consulate in Montreal or voting in favour of dismantling Canada for an independent nation of Quebec, he’s comparing the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to parasites and circus freaks.

Khadir, the sole member of Quebec Solidaire Party in the National Assembly, fancies himself not only as a footwear expert but as a bridge between the popular uprisings in Palestine and the people of Quebec who support them. ” I am here so that there can be a link between the intifada in the streets of Palestine and the intifada in the free consciences of Quebecers”. Controversial Muslim preacher to speak in Toronto

Bilal Philips is described as being “very influential among English-speaking Muslims.

Jun 2, 2011 – 6:30 AM ET | Last Updated: Jun 1, 2011 8:08 PM ET

When Bilal Philips turned up in Frankfurt in April to address a demonstration organized by a local Muslim leader, German immigration police quickly expelled him for advocating the killing of homosexuals.

“Which is nonsense,” the 64-year-old Canadian Muslim preacher said in an interview this week during a visit to Toronto. “I was not advocating or calling on Germans to rise up and kill homosexuals.”

He did write that homosexuality is “evil,” that the Islamic punishment for it is death, and that AIDS is a form of divine punishment. But he insists his words were taken out of context to prevent him from speaking. Continue Reading →

Sharia Law in American Courts

Here is a PDF file compiled by the Center For Security Policy in DC dealing with how sharia has been handled by various US courts. Please download it here and, if you feel it is as important as CFSP does, spread it widely.

Below, a description from their webpage:

The Center for Security Policy’s report, Shariah Law and American State Courts: An Assessment of State Appellate Court Cases evaluates 50 Appellate Court cases from 23 states that involve conflicts between Shariah (Islamic law) and American state law.

These cases are the stories of Muslim American families, mostly Muslim women and children, who were asking American courts to preserve their rights to equal protection and due process.  These families came to America for freedom from the discriminatory and cruel laws of Shariah.  When our courts then apply Shariah law in the lives of these families, and deny them equal protection, they are betraying the principles on which America was founded.

The study’s findings suggest that Shariah law has entered into state court decisions, in conflict with the Constitution and state public policy. Some commentators have said there are no more than one or two cases of Shariah law in U.S. state court cases; yet we found 50 significant cases just from the small sample of appellate published cases.

Others have asserted with certainty that state court judges will always reject any foreign law, including Shariah law, when it conflicts with the Constitution or state public policy; yet we found 15 Trial Court cases, and 12 Appellate Court cases, where Shariah was found to be applicable in these particular cases. The facts are the facts: some judges are making decisions deferring to Shariah law even when those decisions conflict with Constitutional protections.

Shariah Law and American State Courts: An Assessment of State Appellate Court Cases includes summaries of several cases in which the court’s application of Shariah law appears to be in direct conflict with Constitutional liberties and the public policies of the state.

Amir Khadir has a lot to hide.

From No Dogs or Anglophones

(h/t Miss Trixie with thanks)

Amir Khadir is the only member of the Quebec Parliament representing the separatist Quebec Solidaire political party, which is distinguished from the Parti Quebecois by being much more left wing, extreme and militant.

The flamboyant Khadir got himself elected in just about the only riding he could, Montreal’s Mercier riding which is arguably the most pro-sovereignist and militant riding in Quebec.

Since then, he has been working quite successfully to raise his profile and popularity by purporting to stand up to the ‘big guys’ and opposing just about anything the Quebec, Canadian or American government does or says.
Ever since he symbolically threw a shoe at a photo of President George Bush, at a rally in front of the U.S. consulate in Montreal, his popularity has skyrocketed. LINK

Recently he pulled off another coup by going to Toronto and posting part of the bail for Jaggi Singh, Canada’s most notorious anarchist, who was arrested at the G20 conference.

It was a masterful coup, based on perceptions that Quebeckers were targeted at the G20 protests by Toronto police because they were French. This narrative has been successfully sold as fact by Quebec militants and anarchists seeking to engender popular support.

Mr Khadir put forward the position that he provided Mr. Singh’s bail, not because he shares his ideals, but in order to defend democracy and the right to dissent. According to Khadir, it was also a gesture of solidarity with those Quebeckers who were targeted by Toronto police, another notion that went down well with the receptive Quebec audience.

But here’s the part Mr. Khadir left out..

It seems that  Mr. Singh and Amir Khadir are actually friends, a fact that Khadir wasn’t keen to emphasize.  In an interview after his release, Singh mentioned that he considered Kadir a friend and that he had previously gone to demonstrations with Mr. Khadir’s daughter.   LINK

By the way it isn’t the first time that Khadir posted bail for someone of  dubious distinction.  It is alleged that Khadir and his wife put up bail for Adil Charkaoui, accused by CSIS of being an islamist sleeper agent. Link

Qaddafi Money Tied to Co-Sponsor of Huron University College Chair of Islamic Studies

From Campus-Watch:

Campus Watch
May 23, 2011

[Ed. note: The following letter, addressed to Campus Watch, is signed by concerned residents of London, Ontario, home of Huron University College (HUC). On May 11, Campus Watch published an article by Canadian journalist Barbara Kay, “The Dumbing Down of Due Diligence at Canada’s Huron College,” a shorter version of which appeared May 13 in Canada’s National Post. Kay detailed the questionable sources of funding for a new chair in Islamic studies at HUC. The signatories of this letter also signed an April 5 letter to HUC interim principal (president) Trish Fulton, referenced below, explaining their concerns about the funding.]

We thank Campus Watch for publishing the excellent essay of Barbara Kay on the establishment of a Chair in Islamic Studies at Huron University College in London, Ontario funded mainly by the International Institute of Islamic Thought (IIIT) and the Muslim Association of Canada (MAC). Your coverage sparked quite a bit of media interest in Canada and, at last, this matter is getting public attention.

This report is coming to you from a number of the individuals who signed the original letter of concern to Huron University College. (It is not signed by all of them because we want to get the information contained in this communication out quickly and we do not have the time to contact and receive a reply from all the signatories.) As the message is too long for a letter to any editor, we hope you will publish this on your web-site as an update to Barbara Kay’s essay.
