The liberating hijab

A few years ago at an everyone wear hijab day in Ottawa:

Not liking a piece of cloth is RACIST in Denmark

If its racist to object to someone wearing a cloth across their face, then its racist to object to an open or concealed carry. In fact, carrying a gun is more tightly a part of American culture than is wearing a face cloth in islamic culture. So how can one be racist and the other not?

Of course the answer is neither is. A culture has a right to set standards for itself in law. If Saudi Arabia can mandate a face cloth, then we can mandate not having one. Especially when the islamic culture insists on moving here and not the other way around.

Remember: Muslims are always victims, non Muslims, especially white ones, are always oppressors

“Let’s not forget that just because this one was fake, you are all guilty anyway”

Muslims fear backlash over hijab hoax as school takes heat for press conference

[…] Police initially announced they were investigating the incident as a hate crime, sparking outrage in Canada and abroad as several political figures weighed in, including Prime Minister Justin Trudeau who declared: “That is not what Canada is.” […]

The revelation touched off a second wave of outrage from critics, with some targeting the girl with hateful comments online.

The backlash has sparked fears among Muslims that it will inspire more discrimination in the future.

“This will probably be used as an opportunity to downplay all the times that Muslims come out and speak out against Islamophobia,” Sabrine Azraq, of the Canadian Council of Muslim Women, told CTV National News.

Azraq says it’s important to push back against the anger generated by the false story, saying it should not be allowed to “derail the very serious matters that are happening in this country.”

Human rights activist Amira Elghawaby echoed Azraq’s concerns, adding that she hopes it does not discourage hate crime victims from reporting real incidents.

Hijab Hoax

Notice PM Justin Trudeau’s bulls**t retraction. In essence he said,’While nothing happened this time, you are all still racist islamophobes’. So even though none of us did it, thats no excuse for not being guilty.

Explanatory video on the new Quebec pro-face law

Observe the sanctimony attack the professor has on camera. Ask yourselves if 10 people in his class wore Donald Trump masks, or Nazi Armbands (not that I am equating the two but I would wage odds he does)  if he would be so willing to defend everyone’s rights to wear what meant something to them.

Swedish soccer fans mocked political correctness. They were deprived of balaclavas and masks, so they put on a … Muslim, legal garment

An unusual situation occurred during the match of the Swedish Premier League during a match between AIK Stockholm and Hacken. AIK fans have decided to protest in a meaningful manner against the ban on covering their faces in the stands.

On March 1st Sweden introduced a ban on covering faces by fans who decided to come to a sporting event. So fans can not wear the balaclavas and masks that used to be very popular until now, especially in the ultras part of the stadium.

The Swedish authorities say the ban is intended to solve the problem of hooliganism in the stands. Violent fans with masked faces often hoped for impunity.

Sweden would not be Sweden, however, if the new law didn’t have an absurd exception to the rule. It appears that the prohibition of covering the face does not apply …to the followers of Islam. One can easily enter the stadium while wearing the elements of Muslim clothing such as nib. (Facecloth)

Aik Stockholm fans, decided to exploit that exception to the rule and during the match of the Swedish Hacken League, wore face-shielding masks for Muslim women.

Fans also presented a banner, which was addressed to Anders Ygeman, the Minister of the Interior.

“Ultras AIK walk in masks for religious reasons. Freedom for the Ultras! Thanks to Ygeman for this exception” – they wrote.

[Editor: This article also illustrates something not emphasized enough. Muslims do not want equal rights in Western societies. They want special rights. This was an example of those special rights, backfiring on those who would grant them. This is still rare at the moment. Canada’s M103 is a stellar example of special rights. Notice no imams are under investigation for hate speech, although the bookies make good odds every one of them are guilty of it]

Sandra Solomon on the history and nature of Islamic women’s clothing

This is the first of what we hope will be a series of instructional videos on the real nature of Islam. Please let us know what you think in the comments, and if you would like to see this series continue. Also, if there are specific subjects you would like Sandra to speak on.

Germany: Schoolgirl is allowed to wear Niqab despite ban

An original translation by Ava Lon with much thanks!

From this German news site:

Schoolgirl is allowed to wear Niqab despite ban

For three years now, a 16-year-old student from Belm (Landkreis Osnabrück) has been coming to school fully covered. This is actually forbidden.
However, no punitive measures were taken against the girl and her parents so far, the school tolerated the concealment. Now the religion committee of the state parliament has interfered and decided: the young woman is allowed to wear her niqab, which leaves only a slot for the eyes.
They did not want to force her to remove the veil, explained State Secretary Erika Huxhold. And this despite the fact that the pupil was violating the Lower Saxony laws, the Lower Saxony constitution, and the Basic Law.

16-year-old gets involved in the lessons

The reason: According to statements of all involved, the school peace is not endangered by the full veiled 16-year-old, explained Huxhold. There had been no complaints from classmates, teachers or parents during the entire time. In addition, the student was also taking part in class. The school is still compulsory for the 16-year-old and she’s going to graduate from high school next year. The well-being of the girl was in the foreground, she said.

Headmistress tried to prevent the full covering

The headmaster of the Highschool in Belm had tried for a long time to persuade the girl and her family to give the veil up – but without success. Only when she became aware of the case of an 18-year-old student from Osnabrück, who also came to school with a Niqab in August, she turned to the Lower Saxony school authorities. In the case of the 18-year-old, the Osnabrück administrative court had forbidden participation in lessons with Niqab.
The Lower Saxony school authority had also commented on the process in Osnabrück. An official spokeswoman had declared that the state could not fulfill its educational task with disguised pupils. They said that open communication, which included the spoken word mimic and body language, were not possible with a face veil.

Is Belm the precedent?

According to the “Hannoversche Allgemeine Zeitung”, four other cases are known in the country, in which minor pupils had worn a Niqab. They could be convinced through conversations, to remove it. According to HAZ, the CDU [Christian Democrtic Party]fears that Belm could become a precedent. Stefan Politze (SPD) [Socialists], on the other hand, praised the committee’s thoughtful, leveled action “of the best interest of the children”.
