FUNDAMUSTARD BROTHERHOOD WANTS SOME R-E-S-P-E-C-T FROM OBAMA

General feeling is that they’ll get it from Zero.

Mutual respect? How can a genocidal fundamustard outfit that underlines its self significance with the hatred of the non-Muslim, have respect for what they believe is an infidel nation supporting their enemy Israel? Anyone see any logic in that? KGS

Muslim Brotherhood Spokesman: We Are Willing to Dialogue with US

In response to statements by State Secretary Hillary Clinton about an American intention to dialogue with the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood (MB), the movement’s spokesman, Mahmoud Ghazlan, said that the MB was willing to engage in dialogue as long as it is based on mutual respect. He said that so far no dialogue has taken place, except for some contacts between officials at the US embassy in Cairo and former parliament members from the MB. Dr. ‘Issam Al-‘Arian, deputy-chairman of the MB political party, said that several US congress members visited the party headquarters last week.

SOME JEWISH COMMUNITY LEADERS JOIN THEMSELVES AT THE HIP WITH ISLAM IN EUROPE

LOONS.

This is an earlier report but it bears returning to because of the ramifications, for Jewish leaders, who have for the most part thrown their lot in with the traditional loon Left, are playing a dangerous game. The very group that they are aligning themselves with do not have their own best interests at heart, they’re (Jews) just a means to solidify and increase their gains in European/Western society, by using them as a teflon shield against criticism.

Europe has a Jewish/Christian heritage, the very foundations of western society is based upon those two, not Islam, which is an anti-thesis to all we hold dear as westerners. This declaration is a knee-jerk reaction by Leftist leaders within Jewish communities in Europe who think that the Left (statist totalitarians) and the Islamic community (societal totalitarians) are their safeguard for a continued existence in Europe. They couldn’t be more wrong. KGS

NOTE: The Left hates Israeli self determination, the Muslims hate Israel and Jews and every other ‘infidel’ in existence whose mere existence is an affront to their allah. What don’t they understand about that?

Jewish and Muslim leaders urge European Union heads not to pander to extreme-right

30 May 2011

In Brussels, leaders of Islamic and Jewish communities from several European countries today presented a joint declaration to the presidents of the three main European Union institutions. Ahead of a meeting of European religious leaders representing all major faiths in Europe, Bosnian Grand Mufti Mustafa Ceric and Brussels Chief Rabbi Albert Guigui handed the document on behalf of the 33 signatories to Commission President José Manuel Barroso, European Parliament President Jerzy Buzek and European Council President Herman Van Rompuy.

The declaration stresses that “Jews and Muslims live side-by-side in every European country and our two communities are important components of Europe’s religious, cultural and social tapestry. Both Muslims and Jews have deep roots and historical experience on this continent.” It raises concern about “increasing manifestations of Islamophobia (anti-Muslim bigotry) and anti-Semitism in countries across Europe.”

GERMAN INTELLIGENCE REPORT GIVES RISE OF CONCERN OVER LEFT-WING EXTREMISM

German Intelligence Report

Increase in Left-Wing Extremism Sparks Concern

Left-wing extremism is on the rise in Germany, according to a classified intelligence report seen by SPIEGEL. The number of violent militants has risen by a fifth since 2005 and offenses rose sharply in the first quarter of 2011. Authorities are intensifying their surveillance of the scene.

Germany’s domestic intelligence agency has warned that a militant left-wing movement is on the rise in the country. An arson attack on cables that caused severe disruption to the Berlin rail network last month has thrown a spotlight on left-wing extremism, and official figures reveal a steep rise in violence this year.

“The security situation has markedly worsened,” says a confidential report on the radical left-wing scene compiled by regional and national intelligence agencies. The number of left-wing activists deemed prone to violence increased by more than 20 percent from 2005 to 2010, reaching an all-time high of 6,800, the report says.
The number of offenses committed by extremists in the first quarter of 2011 was significantly higher than in same period last year, it adds.

Authorities are pointing to the protests against the G-8 summit in Heiligendamm, Germany in 2007 as the start of an escalation in left-wing violence. The anti-globalization demonstrations, joined by tens of thousands of people, were a “turning point in the development of German left-wing extremism,” the report says.

Authorities are worried that the militant left is attracting support from young people who had hitherto been outside the core left-wing scene. It has started to appeal to a violent, thrill-seeking and less ideological youth culture.

But despite the increase in offenses, German intelligence officials do not see a “terrorist dimension” in the trend. This indirectly contradicts an assessment by the German Federal Prosecutor’s Office, which has launched a number of investigations into left-wing acts of violence.
Currently, the domestic intelligence agency classifies 767 people as “violent left-wing extremists.” Most of them are younger than 26 years old and 84 percent of them are men.

SHOCK REPORT: UNIVERSITIES ARE BREEDING GROUNDS FOR THE JIHAD

It is undeniable that the the jihad has nothing to do with poverty and lack of job opportunities, and everything to do with Islam feeling uppity at the present time, that this is their moment. That is why any focus on confronting the jihad through “community building” is destined for failure. Just saying. KGS

Universities: The breeding grounds of terror

The evidence that British student campuses have become hotbeds of Islamist radicalisation is overwhelming, says Anthony Glees. It is time to get tough on those who refuse to believe it.

Theresa May’s message to our vice-chancellors, in her comments to this newspaper yesterday, was crystal clear: it’s time for them – at long, long last – to get a grip on student extremism. The shameful record of complacency towards Islamist radicalisation on Britain’s campuses will no longer wash. But are our universities listening, let alone getting ready to act? I fear not.

For one thing, politicians have said this before. In his first major speech on security and radicalisation, in February this year, David Cameron underscored the dismal truth that many of those found guilty of terrorist offences have been British graduates. “We must stop extremists recruiting in publicly funded institutions like universities,” he said. Two months ago, he made the same point, when he said that not enough was being done to “deradicalise” our universities.

In the same month, Baroness Neville-Jones, the recently departed security minister, said much the same thing. Britain, she confirmed, still faces a serious security threat from Islamist radicalisation – and universities are one of the main recruiting grounds. In fact, she said, they are a greater source of danger than radical mosques.

So here are the Prime Minister, the Home Secretary and the then security minister all speaking with one voice – along with the previous government, and indeed the widely respected all-party Homeland Security Group. But there are none so deaf as those who refuse to hear. Just a few days ago, Nicola Dandridge, the head of Universities UK, told The Daily Telegraph that there was “no evidence” to link student radicals with violent extremism. She even claims that MI5 and the police back up her assertions.

No evidence? Within a couple of years of leaving Leeds Metropolitan University, Mohammad Sidique Khan, the leader of the group responsible for the July 7 bombings, began training for terror. Since then, virtually every major British terrorist attack has been led by students or graduates. The list of universities they came from makes horrifying reading: Leicester, Luton, Brighton, Glasgow Metropolitan, UCL, the LSE, the University of Westminster, Brunel and others.

FJORDMAN: THE BIRTH OF CAPITALISM

The blogger Fjordman files this report with the Vlad Tepes blog. KGS

The Birth of Capitalism

The Ottomans used a centralized power structure to extract a large proportion of the resources of the empire to use for military aggression, but they were successfully rebuffed by European states. The problem with an overly centralized power structure with high tax rates is that over time it will lead to economic and technological stagnation. Successful innovation requires some degree of decentralization, which could be found in regions of Western Europe with many free cities, from northern Italy via the Netherlands and Flanders in the Low Countries to England and northern Germany. This is where we encounter the development of capitalism.

The Ancient Economy: Evidence and Models, edited by J.G. Manning and Ian Morris, is a collaborative effort of various scholars on the economies of Egypt, the Near East and Greco-Roman Antiquity. The ancient world was not “capitalist” in our sense of the word. Slavery lessened incentives to develop labor-saving technology. People lacked a tradition of carrying on a sustained effort to produce a technological solution to a felt need (they had no “research-and-development” labs) and often suffered from a certain prejudice against work of the hands.

In the Greco-Roman world, wealth should preferably come from the land. Commerce was considered barely socially acceptable whereas industry was widely looked down upon. Sustained growth per capita requires sustained technological improvement. Roman economic growth was very slow because technological progress was slow – not necessarily nonexistent, but slow. There are few indications of what we might call a capitalist concept of making calculated investments in better technology in order to improve future productivity.

Western wealth began to grow with urban growth and commerce in the twelfth century and accelerated during the Renaissance into the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries with the development of a relatively autonomous class of professional merchants. Friedrich von Hayek (1899-1992), an Austrian and later British economist and philosopher, identified a new individualism provided by Christianity and the philosophy of Classical Antiquity which was developed during the Renaissance. He explains this in his classic The Road to Serfdom:

PAKISTANI MOVIE STAR THAT SCOLDED IMAM ON NATIONAL TV ATTACKED

Thanks to Person of  The Book for forwarding this story to the Tundra Tabloids. The TT posted earlier about Veena Malik’s confrontation with a Pakistani cleric, warning about her becoming a possible victim of an attack, perhaps acid thrown in her face etc., it now appears that she was purposefully hit by another car with the intent of causing he bodily harm. It wouldn’t surprise to hear that she has moved abroad. KGS

While initial Pakistani media reports said that Veena Malik was injured in a car crash, her publicist said that it was a deliberate attack. Her publicist Sohail Rashid said: “A speeding vehicle overtook Veena Malik’s car, hit its side door and raced off. The car went off-balance and collided.”[1] “It seemed as if they deliberately hit our car. We couldn’t see their faces. They hit us, and saw our car colliding. They would have stopped had they hit us by mistake,” Rashid said, adding that Malik is now out of danger and her condition is stable.[2]

In January 2011, Malik earned the ire of Islamic clerics in Pakistan and orthodox circles by confronting Pakistani cleric Mufti Abdul Qawi on a live Pakistani television program after she was accused of disgracing Pakistan and Islam for her appearance on ‘Big Boss,’ the Indian version of the television show ‘Big Brother.’ On the Pakistani program she accused Pakistani clerics of teaching a distorted version of Islam and accused the religious scholars were responsible for molesting children in Islamic seminaries.

FJORDMAN REPORT: WAS MEDIEVAL CHINA SUPERIOR TO EUROPE IN THE SCIENCES……?

Fjordman files the following report with the Tundra Tabloids.

Was Medieval China Superior to Europe in the Sciences?

It has often been stated that the Chinese during the Middle Ages were superior to Europeans in “science and technology.” A problem with this claim is that science and technology were traditionally completely separate disciplines. They only started merging after the Scientific Revolution, and then only in the Western world. East Asians did well in applied technology with a limited theoretical basis, yes, but they were not equally good in the physical sciences.

When the pro-Chinese English scholar Joseph Needham investigated the history of science among the Chinese he was eventually forced to conclude that “one can hardly speak of a developed science of physics” in China prior to modern contact with Europeans. It lacked the systematic thinkers that one encounters in the history of mechanics in medievalEurope, where there was an established tradition of arguing with Aristotle’s conceptions of motion. These include names such as Philoponus, Buridan, Bradwardine and Oresme, who all contributed to developments that culminated in Galileo’s work. In China there was no Galileo, nor Kepler’s laws of celestial motions, which formed the basis for Newton’s great synthesis.

The great Temple of Heavenwas constructed in fifteenth century Beijing. Symptomatically, the Earth was represented by a flat square and Heaven by a circle, which accurately reflects the fact that the Earth was widely held to be flat in Chinese cosmology well into modern times. By contrast, it was common in medieval Europe to see a cross-bearing orb on royal regalia, symbolizing Christ’s dominion over the world. One striking aspect of this is that the Earth was here represented as a spherical object. This was for instance the case with the Orb, Scepter and Crown insignia of the Holy Roman Empire, possibly dating back to the tenth century AD.

At this time, Europe was barely recovering from the collapse of urban civilization, while China, with the world’s largest and most sophisticated economy, went from the Tang to the Song Dynasty and was in the middle of one of the most technologically creative phases in its history. Another way of saying this is that Europeans had a more scientifically correct understanding of the shape and size of the Earth in a period when urban civilization barely existed there than the Chinese had while performing at their very best.

The consensus among Chinese scholars until around 1600 AD, more than two thousand years after Greek thinkers had demonstrated that the Earth is spherical, was that the Earth is flat. This basic error wasn’t corrected until they encountered modern European astronomers.

Demon Mosque: Islamic Hezbollah flag fluttering among the Leftists

Demonstrations in Gothenburg, Sweden over New Mosque

MOSQUE DEMON Do you see the yellow flag in the picture below from the demonstrations on Saturday? The Islamist Hezbollah (Shiite) which controls Lebanon. Hezbollah has close relations with Iran and both hate Israel and see the country as an illegal state and non-nation.

More pictures of Hezbollah

Six countries, including the United States and Britain, officially lists Hezbollah or its military wing as a terrorist organization, but it is not defined as such by the EU or the UN. Hezbollah’s military wing is suspected to be behind bomb attacks against American and French peacekeeping troops during the Lebanese civil war, the bombing of the Israeli embassy in Buenos Aires and the hijacking of TWA Flight 847 June 14, 1985, which was flying from Athens bound for Rome.

According to Swedish newspaper Svenska Dagbladet, 13 July 2006, Hezbollah has been given its heavy military equipment from Iran, including rocket artillery and anti-ship missiles, which came into use during the fighting with Israel, July-August 2006th This military supplies shipped through Syria to southern Lebanon, which requires the Syrian government’s active participation.

NOTE:

FJORDMAN: A BRIEF HISTORY OF PASTA

A Vlad Tepes exclusive. KGS

Fjordman: A Brief History of Pasta

In recent weeks I’ve been on two major travels, one to Beijing, China, and another to northern Italy. I couldn’t really afford to go, but then I got some money from the CIA and the Mossad for my Islamophobic essays. I also remembered that I had not cashed in on my annual white privilege bonus for a few years. Once I had done that, I could go for a holiday, anyway.

I will describe my impressions from these travels in later essays, but will start with reflecting on the history of pasta. I talked to one Italian man who believed that pasta was invented by the Arabs, whereas another frequent claim is that it was invented by the Chinese. I am personally skeptical of both these claims. To quote food historian Linda Civitello in Cuisine and Culture:

“For hundreds of years, it was accepted ‘fact’ that Marco Polo discovered noodles in China and brought them back to Europe. Now, in his masterwork, A Mediterranean Feast, food historian Clifford Wright states flatly that there is no truth to the story of Polo and pasta. Wright unravels the tangled strands of the origin of pasta and takes it down to its basic ingredient: hard semolina or durum (Latin for ‘hard’) wheat. This makes pasta different from bread, which is made from soft wheat. The Chinese did not have durum wheat. Wright places the origins of ‘true macaroni’ – pasta made from durum wheat and dried, which gives it a long shelf life – ‘at the juncture of medieval Sicilian, Italian and Arab cultures.’”

Marco Polo (1254-1324) was the son of a merchant from Venice in northern Italy who had good contacts in the East. The book Il Milione (“The Million”), describing his alleged travels in Asia in the late thirteenth century, became hugely popular in the Renaissance period and inspired other European travelers in their search for Asia, among them Christopher Columbus. Polo supposedly spent years in Mongol-ruled China but never mentions tea, nor the Great Wall or the practice of foot binding, which crippled millions of Chinese women well into the twentieth century. It is quite possible that he was a well-traveled man for his time, but scholars are still arguing about whether he really did all of the things he claimed to have done.

Noodles or noodle-like foods made of wheat, buckwheat, rice or soya have been enjoyed in China, Korea and Japan for a very long time and we have no indications that pasta existed in the Roman Empire, but these foods do not taste alike and are made from different materials and methods. Besides, pasta is a lot more than spaghetti, and many varieties do not resemble noodles even superficially. There is no strong historical or logical reason to assume that the inventions of East Asian noodles and Italian pasta were directly connected. Pasta from durum wheat was an innovation of the European Middle Ages. Middle Easterners before and after the rise of Islam used durum wheat, but Muslims apparently never invented pasta-like foods.

Historian Toussaint-Samat, too, questions the myth that it was imported to Italy with Polo. Anything resembling modern pasta cannot be traced with certainty much further back than to southern Italy in the thirteenth or fourteenth centuries AD. If you believe A History of Food, “the first production of pasta on any kind of industrial scale was indeed in Naples in the early fifteenth century. However, this pasta did not keep well, and it was not until 1800 that the process which would make it really asciutta (dry) was discovered. It involved natural drying alternately in hot and cold temperatures. Perfect conditions were found at Torre Annunziata, some kilometres south of Naples itself, where the climate changes four times a day, to a regular pattern. The macaroni of Torre Annunziata is the ne plus ultra of Italian pasta.”

The great merit of pasta, and one of the secrets behind its tremendous international success in recent years, is that it is very easy to make and also takes up little storage space, but swells when cooked. Cooking it is simple, too, since it only requires a large pot filled with water.

Another food myth is that Marco Polo introduced ice cream to Italy and Europe from China. Frozen desserts made from fruits or berries combined with ice and snow brought down from nearby mountaintops were served in several ancient civilizations, including ancient Rome. Whether this constituted ice cream as we think of it is debatable, however. A more recognizable version appeared in Renaissance banquets, with modern European ice cream dating back to the 1500s and 1600s. And yes, Italians did play a major role in this story.

I am personally a fan of Chinese cuisine, as are millions of other non-Chinese around the world judged by the popularity of Chinese restaurants, but I have to say that their dinners and warm dishes are a lot better than their sweets and desserts. I brought back some alleged Chinese sweets and candies to Europe and literally couldn’t give them away for free to my youngest relatives. It is the first time I have experienced children saying no to candy. There is nothing made in China, at least not today, that can be remotely confused with Italian gelato.

Gelato is Italy’s unique version of ice cream, but with significantly less butterfat and higher sugar content than regular ice cream. It is less solidly frozen, melts in the mouth faster, has a richer, creamier taste and is denser because not as much air is whipped into the mixture. It is extremely delicious, and to Western tastes easily beats anything similar produced in China.

SHOCK: MULT-CULTURE EPIC FAIL: ANTI-SEMITISM RIFE IN BELGIUM

AND REMEMBER THAT BELGIUM IS THE MODEL ON WHICH THE EU IS BUILT!

Missing Peace forwards the following article (google trans) that provides some rather discouraging findings in a research that explored the thinking of youths of different demographic groups in Belgium. Looks like another stake driven into the heart of the multicultural experiment. KGS

Excerpt:

“Worrying is that half of Muslim students can be described as anti-Semitic, which is still very high. Worse, the anti-Jewish feelings have nothing to do with a low educational or social disadvantage, as is the case with racist natives . It is theologically inspired anti-Semitism, and there is a direct link between Muslim and anti-Semitic feelings cherish. Catholics are also more negative towards Jews, but the feelings are not as strong. “

NOTE: Multiculturalism is the policy of societal suicide, it won’t work, it can’t work and those who say it does work, are delusional.

Missing Peace adds: Here is the approval rate of 4 statements about Jewish people put to respondents:

– ‘Jews want to dominate everything’ (31.4% agree)

– ‘Most Jews think they are better than other people’ (29.9%)

– ‘When you do business with Jews, you have to be extra alert’ (28.6%)

– ‘Jews agitate for war and blame others’ (28.4%)

For details:

‘Jong in Brussel,’ is a study done by Jeugdonderzoekplatform (Youth Research Platform) in cooperation with the universities of Ghent, Leuven and the Dutch-speaking VUB. It polled 2,837 students in in 32 Dutch-speaking high schools in Brussels.

I’m Shocked!

Brussels youth often anti-Semitic

DEMORGEN.BE Antisemitism is not a dirty word for about half of young Muslims in Brussels, and with a low educational level has little to do. Also shows “Young in Brussels” that multiculturalism in the young minds is not a fact. If push comes to shove, no apparent fan of the Bulgarians or Roma, and folds back on the young love their community.

“Belgians, Moroccans, Turks and Southern Europeans, the youth of the four largest ethnic groups in Brussels  all care for one’s own people first ‘principle,” says sociologist Jessie Siongers (VUB), who discovered in her research for “Young in Brussels,” our capital is characterized by diversity, but that something does not automatically result in a cosmopolitan people.

[….]

The various groups do not live together, but side by side. The young people remain strongly committed to their own culture, especially when it comes to friendly relations, or lake, and this applies to young people of all origins.

Siongers: “All young people look to join communities with whom she has a geographic or cultural affinity feel, and they are reinforced focus on culture. Especially between Belgians and Moroccans, the two dominant groups, the gap depth. And Turkish young people we call closed, very focused on themselves. And although the Brussels school mixed and diverse, it translates not in close relationships or interest in the other. “
