A court in France’s northern province of Lille sentenced a fully-covered 18-year-old woman to 6 months in prison on Oct.30 for refusing to present her identity card to police, reported AFP.

The woman, who wasn’t identified in reports, refused to show her identity card to police, telling them she didn’t have time before attempting to escape. The woman kicked police officers who followed and eventually caught her.

The woman was convicted of willful violence, outrage, rebellion and incitement to riot and was issued a sentence two times longer than expected. The prosecutor had originally demanded a 3 month prison sentence.

Police tear gas & water cannon Turkish secularists

Turkish police use tear gas and water cannons to try to break up a demonstration by tens of thousands of pro-secular protesters, but the march to mark the founding of the Turkish republic went on in defiance of a government ban.
The celebration of the founding of the Turkish republic has in the past few years become a symbol of the divide between Prime Minister Recep Erdogan’s elected, Islamic-leaning government and its opponents who fear the country’s secular traditions are in danger.
The Ankara governor’s office last week denied authorization for the march, citing security reasons, and declared the gathering illegal.
Challenging the ban, tens of thousands of people assembled in the old part of Ankara, near the building housing Turkey’s first parliament, to march to the mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, who founded the secular republic 89 years ago after the collapse of the Ottoman Empire.

Seneca III from The Christian Action Network footage

A couple of weeks ago, I posted my clip of excerpts from the footage that CAN shot in Europe this year. One of the people who was not included in that first clip was a man who writes under the handle, Seneca III.

‘Seneca III’, a retired physicist, had chosen to remain anonymous until now. But due to the arrests yesterday of Tommy and Paul Weston, both of which appear to be highly political in nature and smack of at least a degree of totalitarianism, he has chosen to reveal himself to the camera as the urgency and immediacy of the message grows exponentially over time.

This is the first interview with Seneca III on Camera.

Thank you again Christian Action Network for the footage. I am anxious to see the whole documentary when you get it done.

In the aftermath of the Poitiers mosque occupation…

CommuniquÈ: ‘Since Poitiers, our appeal has been heard’

A little more than 48 hours after the beginning of our symbolic and peaceful occupation of the future grand mosque at Poitiers, we can draw a preliminary balance of our action.
Since Poitiers, our appeal has been heard! Most of all by the media, featuring reports on all major radio and tv stations, more than 250 articles in the regional and national press, and innumerable reprises on the internet. Then by the politicians responsible, from the most rancid extreme right-wing to the most stupid extreme left-wing, en passant by the grand [political] formations, all of them were thus forced to position themselves vis-‡-vis our action. And finally, it has been heard most of all by our people, something no-one can contest while observing how rapidly the social networks took up the issue, or the explosion of the number of visits of our launching video. We have received almost a thousand support messages, donations from all over the world, several hundred spontaneous [new] memberships via our website.

Our objectives were the following, and they have all been reached:

– Most of all, remind our fellow countrymen of the battle in the year 732  and the figure of Charles Martel, while they wanted to delete the personage ever more, in order to better falsify our memories and thereby facilitate the ongoing replacement of the popuation.

– Demonstrate the advancement of the islamisation of our country through this grand mosque – and its not minor minaret – in a place as symbolic as is Poitiers. For if the french only have a far-away souvenir of the 732 battle, for the moslems it happened yesterday! And constructing such a building in this city is in no way innocuous.

– Denounce the collaboration of our institutions with this islamisation at top-gear. A collaboration perfectly illustrated by the affected declarations made by the Poitiers mayor, the prefect, the delegate of the diocese, who all behaved towards the imam as if they already were vassals.

– Make comprehend that there exists a resistance against this collaboration. A resistance incarnated through our youth!

– Make known that this resistance has a name: GÈnÈration Identitaire !

The complete hystery displayed by the politicians responsible (Harlem DÈsir , only recently appointed first secretary of the PS, (appealing to prohibit our movement), the country’s leaders (Jean-Marc Ayrault feeling obliged to witness from Asia [where he presently is] his sadness) and the associations allegedly anti-racist, all this permits to envisage consequences of all kinds, in the wake of our action at Poitiers. Let us remember that while we write these lines, four of our comrades responsible are still held in police custody (since more than 40 hours), a sign of an evident doggedness.

These consequences, we had envisaged and considered them, this is why we are ready to accept them, no matter which they will be. For this was worth the while, for we have never imagined that the Reconquest would resemble a dÓner de gala or a pajama soirÈe.

But henceforth we will no longer confront them on our own, but supported by a large number of frenchmen. Reenforced by some thousand new contacts, which we now will deal with, we will be able to continue structurating GÈnÈration Identitaire. And little surprise, several other actions are already on our minds.

This message which we made heard from Poitiers is basically rather simple: We will not cede anymore!

Royal British Legion minders for young poppy sellers

Telegraph:

Poppy sellers will receive protection from Royal British Legion “minders” for the first time after a spate of attacks last year in which volunteers were verbally abused and spat on.

The unprecedented security will be provided for young Army cadets in Bradford, West Yorks, after the attacks on teenage collectors.

The security chaperones will accompany the volunteers, aged between 10 and 17, amid concerns many are now too frightened to participate in fund-raising efforts.

From this week they will be shadowed by motor enthusiasts from the Legion’s Riders branch, many of whom are former members of the Armed Forces, following the series of incidents last year.

Those attacks left the local Legion branch horrified and forced Army officials to visit schools to stress the need to honour the fallen and overcome cultural barriers.

A response to ‘Mahdi’ from the DISCUS post that wouldn’t

The Toronto Sun had an interesting article which we posted here the other day on an Afghan man who blamed his own brain as if somehow that absolved him, for the near decapitation of his wife. A rather interesting comment thread developed under the article and I found myself in a conversation with a certain ‘Mahdi’ defending Islam and it’s values  in Canada.

I formulated a reply which took a certain amount of time and effort and DISCUS refused to publish it, probably more to lingering code in a clip and paste of Koran than for content. DISCUS and the Toronto Sun are both pretty good about not censoring comments so I am pretty confident it is some technical issue with DISCUS.

In any case, I thought I would offer his comment and my answer here and perhaps I will paste this link over at the site so he can read it should he choose to.

The first post is from Mahdi to me:

Mahdi • a day ago • parent

vladtepesblog: Interestingly Islam does use that the way others use it…

1. We don’t have the right to use any and all means to advance supremacy in the land of unbelievers. And Terrorism is forbidden in Islam including the killing of innocent by-standers.
2. You know nothing of Mohammad PBUH and his history besides some video you probably watched. He never pirated so your claims are silly and he never murdered as fighting in the battlefield is not murder.

The reply that DISCUS rejected:

  • Mahdi: Koran 2:216 “Fighting is prescribed for you, and ye dislike it. But it is
possible that ye dislike a thing which is good for you, and that ye love a thing
which is bad for you. But Allah knoweth, and ye know not.”

Not only does this verse establish that violence can be virtuous, but it also
contradicts the myth that fighting is intended only in self-defense, since the
audience was obviously not under attack at the time. From the Hadith, we
know that this verse was narrated at a time that Muhammad was actually trying to motivate his people into raiding merchant caravans for loot.

This covers both the pirate comment as well as the defense comment.

    I also like this one:

“Fight and kill the disbelievers wherever you find
them, take them captive, harass them, lie in wait and ambush them using
    every stratagem of war.” Qur’an:9:5

That one is pretty easy to interpret. It means,
‘Fight and kill the disbelievers wherever you find
    them…’

Then we have the fact that
Mohamed commanded his gang of pirates and thugs to murder the Jewish tribes of Banu Koriza.

Islam teaches that Mohamed murdered over 700 captives, meaning unarmed and prisoners and no threat to anyone, with his own sword.

That covers the mass murderer remark.

What I should have added was serial rapist as he then went and raped a Jewish woman after killing her husband and son right in front of her.

Few women are turned on by that as a rule. So it’s pretty safe to call it rape. Not to mention the whole, ‘all the women that your right hand posses’ business.

Mohamed of course used rhetorical tricks, much as you do, all the time to get away with what were plainly crimes. So calling a caravan you raid for loot or slaughtering a village full of farmers to take their stuff and rape their women a battlefield is a lot like the trick of attacking people who refuse to convert and calling that, ‘defending Islam’.

Occupation of the Poitiers mosque: an act of resistence!

Translation from Frecnh Website by Michael Laudahn:

Bloc Identity:

The Bloc Identitaire salutes the action of the young comrades at Génération identitaire and appeals to all of its sympathisers to support them. Islamisation – there are those who experience it, those who talk about it and those who really fight it. This morning, almost one hundred Génération Identitaire militants entered the construction site of the Poitiers Grand Mosque. While some twenty remained on the ground, some seventy installed themselves on the roof, unfolding a large banner demanding a referendum about islamisation and immigration in France. A highly symbolic act. An act of magnificent resistence. What these young identitaires went looking for on the mosque’s roof was not a piece of chocolat bread to give to Jean-François Copé  or a media coup.

They went up there to celebrate an auto-da-fé and set an example. They went there to say: Now we will no longer cede! From now on, there will be resistance! We are millions who think likewise. Become millions to act likewise.

The importance of this demonstration did not pass by the prime minister. While travelling in Asia, he descended instantly to a communiqué of condemnation. That the occupation of a construction site on a [saturday] morning threatened the ‘coexistence’… The interior minister, Manuel Valls, also denounced the ‘hateful provocation’. The former mayor of Evry [Valls] knows what he talks about. He who only a few years back demanded ‘more whites!’ on his city’s market! On their part, the moslem chefs established in France have prized the importance of their action. Hastily assembled near the mosque, some of their flock attempted to cause a bad fate for the isolated identitaire militants.   At this time, the organisers of this non-violent occupation are still being questioned by police. Little doubt that the state wil prosecute them for incitation to racial hatred. The Bloc Identitaire salutes the action of the young comrades at Génération Identitaire, appealing to all its sympathisers to support them.
