Eleven people across UK arrested for making ‘racist or anti-religious’ comments on Facebook and Twitter about British soldier’s death

And when a paper like the Daily Mail will not allow comments on an article, it in and of itself is a meaningful statement. Once you can be arrested for stating a widely held opinion you know that the comments under this article would get everyone arrested.

So the DM is actually doing people a kind of favour. But then again, taking away peoples choice for freedom of speech over persecution by the state, well that makes it a questionable one.

The murder of soldier Lee Rigby has provoked a backlash of anger across the UK, including the attacking of mosques, racial abuse and comments made on social media.

Eleven people have been arrested around Britain for making ‘racist or anti-religious’ comments on Twitter following the brutal killing in Woolwich on Wednesday.

The incident has also prompted a huge increase in anti-Muslim incidents, according to the organisation Faith Matters, which works to reduce extremism.

Before the attack about four to eight cases a day were reported to its helpline. But the group said about 150 incidents had been reported in the last few days, including attacks on mosques.

Fiyaz Mughal, director of Faith Matters, told BBC Radio Five Live: ‘What’s really concerning is the spread of these incidents. They’re coming in from right across the country.

‘Secondly, some of them are quite aggressive very focused, very aggressive attacks. And thirdly, there also seems to be significant online activity…suggesting co-ordination of incidents and attacks against institutions or places where Muslims congregate.’

Here are two videos of a protest against the horrible caterwaul from the newly commissioned minaret in Sweden. But I would like to know. Why can’t Swede’s go and play some hard core rock and roll, maybe Abba for example if they don’t have any rock, at high volume whenever this crap starts. Or is disturbing the peace exclusively for Muslims now?

This is interesting. I was under the impression that the British government was far more interested in manufacturing an image of England to the public than actually dealing with reality at any level at all. So this move means one of a few things, perhaps all of them. That parts of England have gotten so bad that they are ready to abandon their illusion of a multicultural paradise (No matter who they want to blame, White indigenous English people or the ‘Asians’ either way its a failure) or a swing to the rational where there has to be enough force available to preserve anything like actual sovereignty.

Still, major charges should be laid on the government officials who set up these immigration policies and concealed the knowledge of muslim white-slavers from the public.

With a heavily-armed policeman guarding the playground, assault rifle at the ready, it could be the scene of a terror alert.

In fact, this is a routine patrol just yards from a suburban primary school.

The show of force is designed to calm residents of an estate plagued by gang shootings.

In the past four months there have been nine gun-related incidents in Luton linked to the Marsh Farm and Lewsey Farm estates.

In the latest, a 16-year-old boy was shot in the back early on Saturday morning. He may never walk again.

The violence has left law- abiding families so terrified they welcome the patrols, even if they risk scaring children.

Faye Bell, 37, a mother of two, said: ‘The armed police might seem heavy-handed to some people but to us they are hugely reassuring.

‘It’s very sad that it has come to this but we need the police to be armed so they can protect our kids.’

The officers, with a dog unit, have been patrolling the estate near the rundown Purley shopping centre all week.

Marsh Farm residents told the Daily Mail yesterday that the armed patrols had given them the confidence to go outside.

Shannon Read, 17, said: ‘I don’t really come out of my house at all so it’s reassuring to know these patrols are here.

‘I knew the lad who got shot on Saturday so it has been even more terrifying recently.’

Darren Putney, 46, added: ‘Some of the children on the way to school or in the play area look frightened.

‘But the police need to make their presence known.’

The officers carry Heckler and Koch G36C assault rifles with 5.56mm calibre ammunition that can pierce body armour.

Michael Stürzenberger Acquitted in Munich

Michael Stürzenberger is a well-known Islam critic in Germany, and was one of the honored guests at last summer’s Brussels Conference. His outspoken style and uncompromising attitude have made him — along with Politically Incorrect and Die Freiheit — persona non grata with the Bavarian government. As with so many other Counterjihad figures who draw the baleful gaze of the authorities, Mr. Stürzenberger has been prosecuted by the state. In his case, the issue was the display of a photo of Heinrich Himmler at a Freiheit rally. No Nazi propaganda was included — and, as everyone familiar with the larger European Counterjihad movement knows, Nazi references are employed to wake citizens up to what lies ahead if their governments continue to cosset Muslims in their midst.

Yesterday Michael Stürzenberger was acquitted in a Munich courtroom. JLH has translated a report from Politically Incorrect on the auspicious occasion, and includes this introductory note:

As Stürzenberger often does, he allows his opponent to “speak” at length, by including Kaster’s article and surrounding it with his own atmospheric descriptions of the scene.

I said recently when introducing an article leading up to this trial, that Stürzenberger’s technique of disputation reminds me of a verbal version of a Clint Eastwood film. He seems to revel in the encounters and in his victories. I suspect that this alone will make him a permanent target of Islamists and leftists.

Don’t bring parents here for welfare, Kenney says

Canada seems to have hired the little boy who stuck his finger in the dyke to stop the hole in it from flooding the country and drowning everyone. Let’s hope it isn’t too late and lets hope it is the right kind of dyke.

Citizenship and Immigration Minister Jason Kenney announced new criteria for sponsoring parents and grandparents to come to Canada today that are aimed at ensuring elderly immigrants don’t end up on welfare or in social housing.

The changes are part of “phase 2” of the government’s overhaul of the family reunification category of immigration. New applications for the program have been on hold since 2011 in order to cut down on a massive backlog that resulted in wait times of eight years.

Kenney said applications will resume Jan. 1, 2014, and will be limited to 5,000 per year. The applications will still take years to process because of the ongoing backlog. By the end of the year, the backlog is estimated to be around 80,000 applications.

Kenney said that about 25,000 parents and grandparents will be admitted as permanent residents in 2013 and he expects that level to continue in coming years.

Kenney said the number of older immigrants allowed into Canada must be limited because of the burden they place on the health-care system and other social resources. A set of grandparents could cost the system $400,000, he noted.

The Guarantee Clause: Congress’ Duty to Oppose Theocracy in the United States

Theocracy is inherently oppressive and contrary to America’s core values. It regards God as the sovereign and source of law. It therefore places the coercive power of the state–including interpretation and enforcement of law–in the hands of believers. It excludes non-believers from the body politic and brings them suffering. In total contrast, the Declaration of Independence regards God not as a source of coercive power, but as a guarantor of inalienable rights including liberty and equality. The Declaration states that government derives its sovereign authority or “just powers” not from God, but “from the consent of the governed.” This concept of popular sovereignty is reflected not only in the preamble of the Constitution, but also in the “Guarantee Clause” of Article IV, Section 4 which obligates the federal government to preserve a republican form of government in every state. The Constitution also precludes theocracy through the First Amendment’s ban on laws respecting establishments of religion or prohibiting “free exercise” of religious beliefs.

Political Islam or “Islamism” is theocratic. It may be defined as a belief that Islam should control society and politics, not simply personal religious life. Accordingly to the eminent scholar Bernard Lewis, the ideal Islamic polity recognizes God as sole sovereign and law-giver and assigns believers the task of spreading His revelation until the entire world accepts it. This is to be achieved by extending the authority and membership of the community that follows God’s law, the Shariah, which deals with the acquisition and exercise of power and the duties of ruler and subject. [1] Accordingly, Shariah is not simply a prescription for exercising personal belief through activity such as prayer and diet. It is a system of laws that affects the conduct of both believers and non- believers in Islamic theocracies. More ominously, expansion of the community that regards God as sovereign suggests contraction and disempowerment of the community which does not.

Hefajat-e Islam activists, teamed up with Jamaat-Shibir men, set ablaze dozens of shops selling Islamic books — among many other makeshift stalls — on footpaths around Baitul Mukarram Mosque yesterday evening.
“They are enemies of Allah! They are enemies of the Prophet! How can they set the Holy Qur’an on fire?” cried a bookshop owner trying to douse the blaze after the attackers left the scene.

The attackers set fire to everything they could by the roadside between Purana Paltan intersection and Dainik Bangla intersection. They put up concrete obstructions to bar the law enforcers from reaching the scene.

Firefighters, with the help of the police, brought the flames under control around 9:00pm, when shop owners frantically rushed back to salvage the remains of their livelihoods.

Police, taking position at Purana Paltan intersection, repeatedly fired rubber bullets as the demonstrators attempted to advance and attack them.
