According to Western intelligence officials, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei gave the order to the elite Quds Force unit following a recent emergency meeting of Iran’s National Security Council in Tehran held to discuss a specially-commissioned report into the implications for Iran of the Assad regime’s overthrow.

Damascus is Iran’s most important regional ally, and the survival of the Assad regime is regarded as vital to sustaining the Iranian-backed Hizbollah militia which controls southern Lebanon.

The report, which was personally commissioned by Mr Khamenei, concluded that Iran’s national interests were being threatened by a combination of the U.N. sanctions imposed over Iran’s nuclear programme and the West’s continuing support for Syrian opposition groups attempting to overthrow the Syrian government.

Raids across Germany have seen four men arrested in an operation aimed at thwarting illegal exports of nuclear technology to Iran.

Some 90 customs officers backed up by armed police raided homes and offices in Hamburg, Oldenburg and Weimar. In custody by Wednesday afternoon were three Germans and a man with dual Iranian-German citizenship.

The raids were triggered after long and complex surveillance operations authorities said they believe they will prove showed the individuals were part of a conspiracy to provide Iran with nuclear know-how.

‘In 2010 and 2011 the suspects are believed to have helped in the delivery of special valves for the construction of a heavy water reactor in Iran and therefore to have broken the Iran embargo,’ prosecutors said in a statement.

Ironically, news of the arrests came on the same day that Israel was reported to be firming up its battle plans to destroy Iran’s nuclear programme in a series of air strikes over 30 days that would cost the lives of an estimated 500 Israeli citizens.

Suspicion about explosives in two flights to the USA

Original translation by Hermes

From Focus.De

According to information from FOCUS Online, serious incidents happened on Tuesday in two transatlantic flights to the USA from the Frankfurt airport. The two planes remained for security reasons on the ground due to the strong suspicion that explosive charges were placed in the washrooms (of the planes).

As confirmed by US Airways on Wednesday upon request, flight 703 to Philadelphia was – among others – cancelled. This was also confirmed by eyewitnesses to FOCUS Online. After having checked-in, one was told that an indefinable package was found in the washrooms of the plane”, Alberto Friedmann, a trainer of the US Martial Arts team said.

After this, the planes were taken to a remote and secured place. There the company informed the passengers on board that they were dealing with a suspicion regarding explosive charges. The passengers had to wait for 2 hours before being allowed to leave the plane. Friedman also said that he got to know from the flying company that a total of 3 flights to the USA were cancelled due to security reasons.

Suspicious person on board

The police authorities dealing with this issue did not want to answer questions, but they confirmed another incident on flight 118 of the United Airlines from Frankfurt to New York with 118 passengers and 9 crew members. The captain halted the starting procedure at about 09:30 a.m.

„The crew had suspicion that a person on board was acting in a rather suspicious way and had eventually smuggled a dangerous object into the plane”, a spokesperson said to FOCUS Online. The Federal Police then searched the entire plane taking security measures. The passengers and the baggage was checked again, and the suspicion was cleared up. The flight in question was annulled by the company, and the passengers were transferred to other flights or temporarily accommodated in hotels.

Israel will be obliterated by chemical, microbial and nuclear bombs, Iran is warning, but those weapons of mass destruction will be used first on Tel Aviv by Hezbollah and Islamic Jihad at the start of a decades-old Muslim dream of destroying the Jewish state.

An alarming commentary last week in Mashregh, the media outlet of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards, confirmed that the Islamic regime not only has WMDs but has armed its terrorist proxies with them. Mashregh speaks for the regime.

It warned Israel that if the fighting in Syria does not stop, an all-out attack on the Jewish state will be launched and that at zero hour, Tel Aviv will be the first city to be destroyed.

“The threat to retaliate against Israel with weapons of mass destruction is credible,” said Dr. Peter Vincent Pry, executive director of the Task Force on National and Homeland Security, who previously served on the House Armed Services Committee and with the CIA. “A highly credible source in 2005 warned that a decision had been made at the highest level of the Iranian government to arm numerous ballistic missiles with chemical and biological warheads to retaliate against Israel if Iran’s vital interests were endangered. The fall of [Syrian President Bashar] Assad would constitute endangerment of Iran’s vital interest.”

Europe prepares for possible terrorist acts

There is a strong possibility of acts of terrorist by Al-Qaeda taking place on the territory of European countries, the head of the Germany’s Federal Intelligence Service Gerhard Schindler reports

«The threat is mostly presents from Al Qaeda cells active in Yemen. They are preparing to wage a “sacred war in Europe,”- he said in an interview to Welt.

According to the head of GFIS, Al Qaeda uses the so called lone wolf tactic, when a future suicide bomber, living in a country that is planned to be hit, is sent away to be trained in special camps. «We know this tactic is currently used by Al Qaeda, and we carefully follow any developments,»- Schindler claims.

The head of the intelligence service said that GFIS operatives managed to prevent 19 terrorist acts against German soldiers (100) in 2011 in Afghanistan alone. He said that the special service operatives once celebrated success after they found out where a suicide bomber’s belt was hidden and neutralized it in advance. «You need to work on-site in order to gain access to such information,»- Schindler said.

If I ran the OIC, how would I use that to influence the UN?

Well we already know how the Organization of Islamic Cooperation is using the UN to destroy freedom of speech, most importantly the freedom to criticize, and be free from, irrational religious authority, specifically Islamic through the Istanbul process.

But how more directly?

Well. Let’s say that Muslims had an ongoing campaign of murder, terror and tactical attacks against a neighboring non-Muslim area or nation. Lets say that they were slowly gaining ground and forcing out the indigenous people, or subjugating them to Islamic will and laws. Then I would make sure the UN did not see this as a conflict that required their attention and make sure it continued. However once the Islamic forces made some real headway and had established themselves to a degree and once the locals finally figured that the cost of fighting back was lower than the cost of doing nothing or waiting for authority, even the perceived costs, then I would insist that the UN step in and guarantee the new Islamic dominance of that area.

Anyway just some idle thoughts about what I would do if I ran the OIC.

South ‘may be lost if UN intervenes’, army general warns

Thailand might lose the deep South if the United Nations is allowed to intervene and help end the violence in the region, deputy army chief Daopong Rattanasuban said on Friday.

“We have not lost our land yet, but if we’re complacent and let the UN intervene and hold a referendum, then we’re finished,” Gen Daopong said.

“We won’t let this happen and we’ll fight it to the death, but our Muslim brothers and sisters have to understand us because we’re fighting against a small percentage of people who are using guerrilla warfare tactics.”

The insurgents wanted to get villagers on their side by telling them that the government and Thai Buddhists are evil, discriminating and unjust and that officials are using excessive force, he said.

However, 90 per cent of the two million Thai Muslims were well aware of the situation.

The problem in the South was sensitive because it involves religion. Officials needed to be patient and have a good understanding. Fortunately, Thai Muslims understand and the army is trying to gain their trust, he said.

The southern militants, after failing to mislead the villagers, tried to instill fear by setting off bombs and murdering security officers at random, he said.

Lt. Col. Wahid Al-Huzeil, commander of the Desert Reconnaissance Battalion which participated in thwarting last night’s attempted terror attack, explained today (Monday, August 6) that his forces were prepared in advance of the attempt.

“We realized that there was an incident and we arrived on the scene,” he recounted. “We were prepared at the site and identified a vehicle that had exploded at the crossing. We tried to capture the second armored vehicle, and during the operation, the Desert Reconnaissance Battalion worked with the armored forces and the Air Force.”

“Ultimately, we succeeded in capturing the vehicle, eliminating the terrorists, and preventing them from harming our forces or innocent civilians,” he added.

In 2008, Lt. Col. Al-Huzeil received a citation from the Chief of Staff for successful activity in the same area, then as a deputy battalion commander. In that incident, he led his forces in preventing a complex attack in which three booby-trapped vehicles approached the Kerem Shalom crossing.

Newark TSA screeners LOSE woman who ‘tested positive for explosives’ and allow her to leave on a plane for Cleveland… and THEN put the airport on lock down and cancel 100 flights

Daily Mail:

  • Woman was never identified by security and landed in Cleveland before the TSA realized what had happened
  • Screeners also lost a bag that tested positive for possible explosives on Sunday and allowed it to sit on the tarmac for 45 minutes
  • Fliers furious as they are forced to wait on line for hours

TSA screeners at Newark Liberty International Airport lost a woman who reportedly tested positive for explosives on Sunday and only put the airport on lock-down when she boarded a flight to Cleveland, Ohio.

Earlier in the day, the Transportation Security Administration at the airport misplaced a piece of checked luggage that had also tested positive for explosives and couldn’t find it for 45 minutes. The bomb squad cleared the oversize bag — but only two and a half hours after it was discovered.

The security failures caused more than 100 flights at the busy airport to be cancelled and dozens more delayed as furious passengers waited for hours — only to learn their planes were not going to take off.
