UK and European ISPs Now Blocking Jihad Watch — How You Can Combat Online Censorship

This is not new. It has been ongoing for years: when fascists are unable to control the narrative, they shut down the discussion.

I am seeing now that most of the UK and many other European Internet service providers (ISPs) are blocking this as well as many other websites from being viewed.

Not content with shadow banning academics guilty of wrongspeak from social media, attempting to turn them into unpersons, they are using blocking methods originally developed but rarely used to block criminal enterprises on the web (think scammers and pedophiles) with far more alacrity than when they were ever used as originally intended.

They use a variety of methods to control what you are allowed to view online, much like how I had “guardian control” on our television to stop the kids from watching channels that were not suitable. Amusingly, I know of one home and office firewall company that is listing jihadwatch.org as “adult entertainment.” A provider in the UK, also listing Jihad Watch as adult, asks for credit card numbers to prove you are old enough to view the site.

Canada is introducing “measures,” specifically in Quebec, to block illegal gaming sites, which I would bet my last Loony on being leveraged in the same way, as soon as they criminalize “Islamophobia,” a.k.a. any criticism of jihad and the violence and crime that go hand-in-hand with Islam.

Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer: “Can Islam coexist with the West?”

The conference rejected my suggestion to add the letters, “LOL” after the title topic for this amazing gathering but I can forgive them for that.

This is the first of a series of videos coming from this event which has taken much longer to present as the Government of Canada has decided that overnight by FEDEX really means sometime the following week. Fortunately there is thing called the internet and while the government spins its square wheels on  muddy roads the video found its way to the editor anyway. FWIW the camera card is still not here.

Later today, we are hoping for Stephen Coughlin.

Robert Spencer video series: Basics of Islam. Video 1. “Islamophobia”

This video has been posted at this site before of course but a bunch of us volunteers have decided to pitch in and do a minor rosetta project on it as we feel, along with Robert Spencer, that not just English people need to be able to see this information.

I will post the links to the languages we have as they get done here with the request that readers of this site that know people who speak only these languages, could please send them the links. Especially if you know people who run Islam-critical sites in these languages.

We still need French for this video by the way.

Robert Spencer: full presentation in Ottawa, April 13 2016

Thanks to ACT for Canada, Robert Spencer gave two presentations in Canada this past week. The one below at the Lord Elgin Hotel in Ottawa and a second at a private location in Montreal.

The Q&A has not been edited yet but one segment of interest was done and can be seen here, where one audience member raised every popular myth about Islamic history and Robert dealt with it with rapidity and clarity and refuted them all in no uncertain terms.

For those who still think that life was good for non-Muslims under Islamic rule in Spain, they should try reading some of the non-Muslim scholars of the age like Moses Memonadies (sp) for one.

The entire speech and Q&A will be edited and uploaded at some point over the next few days but for the moment I wanted to post a bit of a teaser.

One man asked a question which contained nearly every canard about Islamic history we are spoon fed by the useful idiots on a near daily basis from the ‘golden age of Al-Andaluz’ to the bringing of the Enlightenment to we “savages in Europe” by Islamic scholars.

Robert deals with them all in on succinct answer.

The rest of Robert’s superb presentation and the Q&A, which was of unusually high calibre, will be available over the weekend.
