5 Replies to “Bruce Bawer on the poisoning of Robert Spencer”
The Icelandic airline is offering flights from Israel to the US starting at $149.
Icelandic low-cost airline WOW Air, which announced some time ago that it would begin operating flights to Israel, today announced the beginning of these flights on the occasion of founder and CEO Skuli Mogensen’s visit to Israel. Mogensen has twice been named Man of the Year in Iceland, in view of his business success and trailblazing launching of low-cost trans-Atlantic flights from Iceland capital Reykjavik to various destinations. Israeli tourists will be able to continue from Reykjavik to the US on connection flights.
Please pardon me, but Bawer’s poutrage is FECKING BORING along with being both ineffectual and horribly useless.
Why did he not cite how, Iceland is one the least corrupt nations in the entire world?!?
(Thereby highlighting why Spencer’s poisoning was so aberrant?!?)
How difficult would it have been for Bawer to correlate Iceland’s low crime rate to that nation’s racial homogeneity?
What was so difficult about connecting the lack of jihadism (in Iceland) with its almost total lack of “immigrant” population percentage?
Does Bawer’s refusal to make any of these points require a serious apology (on his part) and demand his deep shame?
Bruce Bawer is one of the first people to ever write about the problems of Islam in the West in the modern age, and did so at great person cost in every way one can measure cost.
I happen to know Mr. Bawer personally and find him to be a man of exceptional integrity, who puts principle above personal interest on every occasion I am familiar with in my association with him.
He is brave and self sacrificing and one of the most dedicated and long serving in our cause.
No one is right about everything all the time.
But I am very uncomfortable with anyone maligning his character here.
Iceland is one of the least Jew-friendly countries.
I wouldn’t use their air space as a urinal.
Thank you both for the informative criticisms.
I accept your admonitions and can only hope that both of you will understand that I have lost more than one job because of my refusal to hide objections about Islam and Hillary.
