In Which Geert Visits A Glass Sculptor’s Studio.

Subject: Geert Wilders Visits Sergio’s StudioGeert visits Sergio's studio.

Geert Wilders came and visited my studio yesterday for a photo, and to show support for my right to express my opinion about full face coverings.

The ironic part about his visit was that the Newtown / Marrickville area can best be described as the Socialist, Anarchist and Greens stronghold of Australia.

These people had no idea that Geert came to visit and have a tour of the studio and to see my Artwork.

The sad part about the visit was that it took 24 hours of pre planning, so I keep asking myself one question. If we have no problem in Australia from our so called peaceful Muslims or the illegal Muslim boat people that are allowed to walk free in our cities, WHY DID GEERT NEED SO MUCH PROTECTION?

Regards

Sergio

Sergio is long known to Vlad and the counter-jihad crew as a man of principles. He has been painting and re-painting his mural for a few years now, and is not interested in stopping. He’s a one-man counter-jihad on his own in the heart of Lefty-LaLaLand!

It seems some in Europe are not in favour of legalizing gay marriage

Police claim it was 340,000 people. actual number closer to 1.3 million. Canadian leftists are notorious for using this tactic as well. Giving the number of attendees for example, an hour before an event begins in order to make it seem insignificant. CBC is especially notorious for this.

Personally I do not have an opinion on gay marriage I care to share at this time. But it remains problematic that the people who are to inform us, are the very ones who deceive us by default when anything runs contrary to their narrative. Triply so when it is state media such as the CBC. Europe of course is infested with state media.

Merry Christmas from Bear and Eeyore

One of our hardest working translators, Bear, has recently taken an interest in photography and volunteered some pictures from around the Ottawa area for this Christmas video. For those who choose to watch, please adjust the little gear at the bottom right of the youtube player to maximum resolution and even at that it doesn’t do the pictures justice. But it is better than the default.

I hope you all enjoy it, and I would like to thank all who come here and read and contribute to this site with a deep gratitude. Thanks to people like you, governments and the regular media including even some state media has noticed and some have even decided that it is worth the risk of occasionally reporting the truth at the risk of breaching political correctness and its supporting laws and taboos.

May all of you have the warmest of Christmases and thank you again for stopping by and especially for contributing in any way at all to this site.

1. Warp drive someday?

Warp drive looks more promising than ever in recent NASA studies

“Interstellar travel may still be in its infancy, but adulthood is fast approaching, and our descendants will someday see childhood’s end.” The Starflight Handbook

The first steps towards interstellar travel have been taken, but the stars are very far away. Voyager 1 is about 17 light-hours distant from Earth and is traveling with a velocity of 0.006 percent of light speed, meaning it will take about 17,000 years to travel one light-year. Fortunately, the elusive “warp drive” now appears to be evolving past difficulties with new theoretical advances and a NASA test rig under development to measure artificially generated warping of space-time.

The warp drive broke away from being a wholly fictional concept in 1994, when physicist Miguel Alcubierre suggested that faster-than-light (FTL) travel was possible if you remained still on a flat piece of spacetime inside a warp bubble that was made to move at superluminal velocity. Rather like a magic carpet. The main idea here is that, although no material objects can travel faster than light, there is no known upper speed to the ability of spacetime itself to expand and contract. The only real hint we have is that the minimum velocity of spacetime expansion during the period of cosmological inflation was about 30 million billion times the speed of light.

2. The Tricorder:

New medical scanner could surpass ‘Star Trek’ tricorder abilities

Ever since Gene Roddenberry introduced us to the world of Star Trek, we have spent the years since trying to catch up to the technological advances thought up by him and his brilliant creative teams. Now, a new development has a chance to surpass one of those technologies — the tricorder.

Researchers at the National Institutes of Health and Penn State’s Department of Engineering Science and Mechanics have developed a new a dime-sized chip that uses the interference pattern created by two sound waves to sort a continuous stream of biological cells. This would allow cells of different types to be directed into different channels, and all those separate channels could examined simultaneously to give faster, more accurate medical scans.

[ Related: Medical science discovers a way to prevent age-related immune system decline ]

The new chip uses the principle of interference, where two sound waves interact with each other, causing nodes of higher and lower pressure on the surface of the chip. As the biological cells flow across the surface of the chip, they are funneled into these nodes, and by changing the frequency of the waves, more nodes can be created, thus funneling more streams of cells to be analyzed.

Problems with comments and site ops.

Dear readers:

As some of you have observed, there has been forged comments placed on the site, presumably to give a false-flag data point to force the site down or otherwise defame this effort. We are, as all should be aware, a classically liberal website with a very Jeffersonian view of individual liberty and notions of limited government and freedom from tyranny, be it religious or elected. In that spirit I would prefer to allow all people to say anything they want in comments. But advocating murder, individual or mass cannot be tolerated. I recognize however that these comments are typically from people dishonestly representing themselves.

I have from time to time tried to solve problems of false registrants with various plug-ins and so on that eliminate ‘bots’ from registering and spamming the site or making comments. The best one I have found so far is Sweet Captcha but it tends to work for a while then create false negatives.

I am doing my best to correct these issues. And thank you for the emails I have received that have explained what is and is not working correctly. This has allowed me to at least do something about the issue as they arise.

Any advice gratefully accepted.

Also, I would like to take this opportunity to do something I pretty much never do.

I would like to solicit any small donations that people feel they might be able to afford to help the running of this site.

Because of various attempts to hack and otherwise destroy this site by people opposed to resistance to the leftist-Islamic convergence, I have had to upgrade security and incur subsequent hosting costs that amount to a fair amount over time. This is of course, my problem and not yours. But if you feel like you could spare $5.00 or $10.00 please consider doing so. It would really help. Just hit the donate button at the top if you are at all able and no worries if you cannot. These are interesting times as the Chinese curse has it so it is well understood that few can spare cash these days that is not fully disposable.

In any case, I would like to thank all of you for the tips, hard work, translations and dedication so many people give to add value to this site. SDMATT, Martin, Don L, Michael Laudahn, Hermes, EDL Buck and many many more who spend a large amount of their time ringing the alarm bell and dedicating themselves to helping the genuinely sleeping to wake up in time to preserve their culture, history and liberty.

Thank you for your readership

The Dalai Lama has had it with religion?

The Blaze:

Dalai Lama in Facebook Post: ‘Grounding Ethics in Religion Is No Longer Adequate’

The Dalai Lama, known for being a revered Buddhist leader, issued some ironic commentary about faith and religion earlier this week. On Monday, he took to his Facebook page to make the claim that it may be time for society to “think about spirituality and ethics beyond religion altogether.”

Considering the Dalai Lama’s prominent faith role, his views are noteworthy. While he admitted that many of the tenets that the world’s diverse faiths share do help individuals to refine their “inner values,” religion may no longer be enough to sustain individuals — and society as a whole — when it comes to ethics and spirituality. He wrote:

All the world’s major religions, with their emphasis on love, compassion, patience, tolerance, and forgiveness can and do promote inner values. But the reality of the world today is that grounding ethics in religion is no longer adequate. This is why I am increasingly convinced that the time has come to find a way of thinking about spirituality and ethics beyond religion altogether.

A woman is being treated in hospital for injuries after being attacked by cows while hiking through a pasture above Saint-Gingolph, a Valais town on the south bank of Lake Geneva.

The incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon when the hiker and a female companion, accompanied by a dog, walked through a field near the Lac de Lovenex, Valais cantonal police said.

For a reason not yet explained, a herd of cows moved toward the couple, knocking over and injuring one of the hikers in the head, police said.

A Rega rescue team arrived on the scene by helicopter and treated her on the spot before flying her to Lausanne’s university hospital (CHUV).

Prison Talk:

Judge allegedly used device to masturbate during trials

Associated Press
Feb. 8, 2005 12:36 PM

OKLAHOMA CITY – Jurors and others in Judge Donald Thompson’s courtroom kept hearing a strange whooshing noise, like a bicycle pump or maybe a blood pressure cuff. During one trial, Thompson seemed so distracted that some jurors thought he was playing a hand-held video game or tying fly-fishing lures behind the bench.

The explanation, investigators say, is even stranger than some imagined: The judge had a habit of masturbating with a penis pump under his robe during trials.

The lurid allegations have led to criminal charges against Thompson, brought an embarrassing end to a solid career and shocked many of his colleagues. The case could also lead to a wave of appeals from defendants claiming that the judge was not paying attention while presiding over their cases.

Thompson, a 58-year-old married father of three grown children, has denied the allegations, and said the pump was just a gag gift received from a hunting buddy on his 50th birthday. He retired in August after being threatened with removal from the bench, but still faces indecent-exposure charges brought against him last month.

“We’re certainly saddened by the thought that the prosecutor filed charges,” said Clark Brewster, Thompson’s attorney. “We thought all this was dealt with when he resigned. We didn’t feel like anything that was alleged rose to the level of criminal charges.”

The trials during which he allegedly used the pump included murder cases as well as a libel suit in which a jury ordered the company that publishes The Oklahoman, a Web site and a TV station to pay $3.7 million.

Oklahoma Attorney General Drew Edmondson, who filed the paperwork to remove Thompson from the bench, said he would be surprised if the scandal did not lead to appeals. But he said: “I don’t know if they will be successful. They will still have to show actual prejudice to the point that something was done in error.”

Jim Wall, police chief in the small town of Sapulpa, said he had heard rumors of the judge’s behind-the-bench activities for about a month, but added: “You’ve got the most powerful man in Creek County, and I think a lot people were intimidated by him.”
