Here is a clip of an interview from Mr. Rumsfeld from today when he was on the Fareed Zakaria show. The whole interview is very good but this clip caught my attention especially. He sounds nearly as clear as Stephen Harper here. As soon as it is ready, I’ll post the whole thing below.

Alert readers have reported that their flight, United Airlines 3681, from St. Louis to Washington Dulles had to make an emergency return to the gate as it prepared for take-off. According to local officials, it was found that two men who had boarded the plane as ‘federal air marshals’ didn’t have the proper credentials. Passengers were deplaned, all luggage was removed and re-scanned. All passengers were also re-screened. Passengers are now in the process of re-boarding. There is no word on the two ‘air marshals.’
BigGovernment has contacted security officials in St. Louis. We will report back what we hear. Interestingly, we understand that Oliver North is on the flight, as well.

While many people died in the atrocities in 2001, we tend to remember most the Twin Towers falling.
Many of us watched it happening in real time, even myself here in Melbournistan, Australia.
Seven years after the event, the enormity of it is something that never leaves; perhaps that really was the end of history as we know it, rather than the year 2000.
For someone with the gift of the gab, this is one that renders me nearly speechless, and so I will just leave you with a comment of the frollicking mole’s from Tim Blair’s old blog:
I saw people jumping and never considered it suicide. It was a choice between the auto-de-fe of the islamists or the quick death of their own making.
They made a CHOICE not to die by burning, I only hope they closed their eyes and thought back to when they were 5 and could fly….

I can imagine the difficulty of trying to decide whether or not to inform a population about a potential terrorist attack. On the one hand, the chance of costs in lives and treasure from the panic that can ensue from the warning alone is guaranteed while the actual terrorist strike is not. Of course, the cost to a government who fails to inform the public about a threat that does come to pass (clearly there is a constant stream of threats to the US public from various sources) would be large enough to cost an election. Hell Bush paid a huge price based on the pure fiction that he A) knew it was going to happen or B) allowed the perpetrators to leave early and other fictitious nonsense. One can hear this calculous in the way this potential threat is presented.
Nice to see someone who has to live his social and career life in the over-the-top political correctness of Los Angeles leftist cultue risk it all to speak his mind during his act.
I hope rational people in the US step up to the plate and support this man. Buy his DVD’s and hire him for clubs. Today, it is the kiss of death to ones career if you don’t goose step with the Hollywood left, showing yet another data point to what side of the political spectrum really does wear the jackboots today.

Scott AFB, Ill. (KMOX) – Hazmat crews descended on Scott Air Force Base after a suspicious package sent three to the hospital and prompted evacuations of several facilities on the base.
“Currently we’re responding to a suspicious package that occurred at the official mail center (Building 1650),” SAFB spokesman Lt. Benjamin Garland tells KMOX News.
He said they’re not releasing any further information about the “suspicious package” or what it may have contained at this time. However the package reportedly emitted a sulphur-like smell.
The incident began just before 9:30 a.m. Wednesday.
The education center, the bowling alley, Airman Family Readiness Center, and ITT center at Scott are closed until further notice.
