Turkey. From productive secular state to Muslim, aggressive parasitical one

Here are some links to news stories about Turkey all from within the last week or so.

1. Government of Turkey moving towards ending coeducation.

(This link, to Tundra Tabloids, comes from one of his most reliable tipsters from Turkey on all matters Islamic within that country. Here is the Turkish language link)

2. The demise of Turkey’s pork butchers

(This one is from 2008 but is clearly indicative of a trend)

The role of Islam in Turkish society is a subject of continual debate. Secularists are protesting against what they see as the government’s increasingly Islamic agenda, and as Sarah Rainsford found out, the latest battleground could be across the butcher’s counter.
Lazari Kozmaoglu butcher's shop

“We’re going filming at a pork butcher’s and a pig farm,” I told my Turkish cameraman in a text message. Slightly anxious, I added: “Is that OK with you?”A moment later a message from Gokhan flashed back.

“Yes,” he wrote. “I like a good pork steak!”

He is not the only one.

Another Turkish friend told me that eating pork, which is forbidden by Islam, is increasingly popular in secular high society here.

She described this as an act of defiance by some Turks who fear religious dictates have begun creeping into their lives since a government led by devout Muslims took power.

3. Turkey removes al-Nusra from ‘terror’ list

4. Erdogan: West doesn’t like us, Islamic countries should unite

5. West Bank: Turkey to build tax-free industrial zone in Jenin

6. Dec 1 2014: A former professor at Ege University in Turkey’s Aegean city of ?zmir will enter jail on Nov. 27 to serve his two-year sentence for preventing a female student with a headscarf from entering the faculty building, becoming the first individual to be sentenced according to the law.

7. Turkey: women’s equality with men ‘against nature’, Erdogan

Any more links anyone finds on the rapid islamization of Turkey or what appears to be a burgeoning competition between Turkey and the Islamic State for official Caliphate, please post in the comments under this post. It would appear Turkey may deserve a special page soon to keep track of how policy is changing there towards an Islamic rule an away from secularism.

Turkish suspected GONGO threatens to destroy synagogues and eliminate Jews from Constantinople (Istanbul)

Earlier today we posted just the headline, a video and graphic from the link.

Tania was nice enough to translate the most important parts of the article as she read it.

From this Turkish website:

Wednesday 5th November 2000 people protested at Beyoglu carrying the Palestinian flag in their hand. they believed that the Golden Dome in Jerusalem was attacked and bombed. During the demonstration they praised Hamas and shouted out “demolish Israel” and “Hamas kill the Jews”.
Ahmet Yilmaz published a message on IHH social media, saying get rid of the synagogues and the Yahudis (Jews) in Istanbul, there wer negative comments such as “they are killing children and selling women all you care is about the golden dome.” and they removed it from Facebook.

Posters says, “To be demolished”, and was placed on the synagogue front, and back doors. The person he put the sign and walked away. What you see in the pictures was the demonstration that took place on the 5th. They are two different events.

Any errors in translation are mine as I edited what I thought were grammatical mistakes in the translation which could have had more than one meaning. I fixed them based on brief chats with the translator. There is a great deal more on the original page if anyone wants to try and load it up on Google translate.

I am referring to the IHH as a ‘GONGO’ because that is what I suspect they are. A GONGO is a government agency masquerading as a non-governmental agency, or an NGO. One example of this would be an Iranian human rights group created by the Islamic regime but masquerading as a separate entity. The value of this would be to fill up time at, for example, the UN HRC where they would use up all the time allotted to real NGOs and human rights groups by just basically flattering the regime that created them and asking bogus questions. The IHH is the group that set up the initial flotilla to Gaza a few years ago which was widely believed to be a Turkish government event. But I cannot be certain of any of that. It is also possible that the IHH is an official part of the Turkish government as opposed to just a kind of ‘Cossack’ which I suspect they are.

Anyone who knows, please explain in the comments and ill fix as needed here in the post.

Turkey: Police PEPPER SPRAY women trying to enter mosque development

More Photos here

If memory serves, this mosque complex is being built on a park which was symbolic of secular liberal democracy for Turkey. Erdogan’s decision to build a mosque at that spot was a very loud signal to Turks of the direction he is taking Turkey. This decision, if I recall correctly, was announced during last years riots against his government by basically secularists. I will try and find links to support these assertions, again, if my remembrance of these things are accurate, later tonight.

Turkey: First Christian Woman becomes Mayor

Original article by Carpe Diem

Much information was sourced from PI News

Fabronia Benno (25) is the first Christian woman to govern one of Turkey’s 30 metropolitan municipalities. Put forward as a candidate by the Peace and Democracy Party (BDP), Turkey’s main Kurdish party, in municipal elections on March 30, Fabronia Benno was elected co-mayor of the southeastern City of Mardin together with Ahmet Turk (71) a widely respected veteran Kurdish leader.

Benno, a student and daughter of a silversmith, is a member of the Syriac community, an ancient branch of the Christian faith whose followers still speak a version of Aramaic, the language of Jesus Christ. Althoug Fabronia Benno was born in a region that traces its Christianity back to the time of the Apostles, she is not allowed to use her Christian name officially. “Februniye Akyol” is the name she has been given according toTurkish law.

The last Christian mayor of Idil, a town only 127 kilometres away from Mardin, was Sukru Tutus. He was killed on June 17th, 1994.

Today, fewer than 5,000 Syriacs live in this Turkish region that once used to be the Christian heartland. 150,000 Syriacs live in Germany, Sweden and Switzerland. Some 15,000 live in Istanbul.

“Before a battle with apocalyptic dimensions”

An original translation by SIMONXML and edited by GoV with many many thanks.

Translated from Die Welt

He claims Islam has “fascistic characteristics” – and that he is therefore at risk: The German-Egyptian journalist Hamed Abdel-Samad holds the religion of which he himself is a member to account. An interview. By Dietrich Alexander

The German-Egyptian political scientist, historian and author Hamed Abdel-Samad deals harshly with the religion he himself comes from.

The author Hamed Abdel-Samad lives in Germany, but he is not safe here. The 42-year-old needs permanent police protection because he has enemies. Violent, fanatical enemies who want him dead because he has insulted Islam and the Prophet Mohammed. The German-Egyptian writer often speaks his mind and criticizes those Muslims who exalt themselves above others and claim to have sovereignty in the interpretation about what the only true doctrine, true Islam, is. His book “The Fall of the Islamic World” (Droemer, 2010, €18) earned him a lot of criticism. His new book will appear on April 1st and is entitled: “Islamic Fascism” (Droemer, €18). In Cairo, these publicly expressed theses resulted in the issue of a fatwa, a “divine legal opinion”: “Wanted Dead” – not: “Wanted, dead or alive”, but only “dead”. He had to go into hiding. But he was not silenced and does not intend to be intimidated in the future.

Die Welt: 529 Egyptian Muslim brothers have recently been sentenced by a court in Minia, Upper Egypt, in a very precarious legal fast track to death. Furthermore, the same fate threatens 683 more defendants. What do you have to say about these trials?

Hamed Abdel-Samad: That’s no way to deter terrorists, but creates new martyrs who are a model for a new generation of jihadists! The Muslim Brotherhood will benefit most from this judgment because suddenly the world is no longer talking about their ongoing terrorist attacks, but about the injustice that befalls them. Such judgments are symptomatic of the helplessness of the Egyptian state in dealing with terrorism. This doesn’t halt the violence, but deepens the division and polarization in the country.

Die Welt: So such trials encumber the future of Egypt and thus probably the next president, Field Marshal Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, who has just announced his candidacy and is a clear favourite?

Abdel-Samad: Al-Sisi is considered by many Egyptians to be the new savior. Expectations for him are very high. But he himself knows that the country has serious problems he cannot solve. He also knows that the same crowds that are now cheering him frenetically will be demonstrating against him, as they have demonstrated against Hosni Mubarak and Mohammed Mursi because they could not fulfill their desires for stability and prosperity. The era of dictatorship is over. But the absence of dictatorship does not automatically mean the arrival of democracy.

Die Welt: You are certainly very pessimistic about the future of the whole Arab-Islamic world. You’ve brought out a new book, your fourth. It seems to me that you are more radical in your theses. Would you agree with that?

Abdel-Samad: No! I often hear that I was a radical thinker and an oddball. I’m just a sensible person who calls a spade a spade. I always have been. I am not being provocative when I say that Islam has fascistic characteristics.

Several groups of Turks engage in abuse of statues of Santa Claus.

Here are videos of three groups of Turkish muslims ritually cutting off the foreskin of a statue of Santa Clause and then killing him.

I guess they were inspired by that old classic Christmas song, ‘I saw muslims Circumcising Santa Claus’.

It’s a safe bet that thousands of Christians across the world, or even Coca-Cola employees, since it was Coke that invented Santa as he is depicted here, or even the Elf union will not be rioting and killing and burning down UN buildings when they see this ‘desecration’ of Western culture.

And lastly this:

But of course, when someone makes a video of a koran being handled in some way or a depiction of the pirate mohamed etc. then you see bloodshed and they blame it on the West and claim they are “defending their religion“. Because after all, one of the major tactics of Islamic advancement is the classic grade three logic of, ‘the fight started when he hit me back’.

(Thanks M for these gems. Also there is a chance we can get a subtitled version of one of these up if our translator tells us its worth the effort.)

West end suburb of Ottawa opens massive Islamic ‘multi faith’ infiltration center

I call it infiltration because it bears mentioning that before Islam began it’s newest offensive on the rest of the world, no one needed any ‘interfaith’ or ‘outreach’ centers. Everything was just damn fine the way it was. We all ‘reached out to each other’ via business, dating and marriage, jokes and movies and food. It is only because of Islam and its overt and covert programs of supremacy and violence and the constant threat of violence that ‘outreach’ is even a term. For that matter, it seems to me that it is more another way of delivering veiled threats, (and thats not a pun in this case, its a double entendre) than it is a way of developing community cohesion.

Thank you M for these links.

Organization’s sickening and saccharin propaganda video. Personally I couldn’t get past the first few seconds because it makes a patently untrue claim right at the start as one finds little to no diversity in Muslim lands. Yet it forces the notion of accepting every anathema culture on the rest of us with shovels full of wild honey.
