Secular people in Turkey being forced to attend religious schools.

Before the current regime in Turkey, a hijab at schools was illegal. Now they are mandatory.

This may be the most powerful argument against state funded schools I have seen yet.

Andrew Bostom wrote this post about an Israeli observer of Turkey who predicted the re-islamification of Turkey a far back as 1968

  1. It beginning to look like the decision to keep them out of the European Union was one of the benefits of foot dragging on the Turkey membership question. There are a lot of Trojan horses on the European scene, so it’s nice to see that one major one was left outside the gates.

  2. The goal of the Islamists is to force everyone to follow enough of Sharia to allow then to claim the entire world Islamic.

    • But it wouldn’t last. They’d just spilt into smaller knots – ‘my Islam is the real Islam’ – till they’re tribes fighting each other again. Stealing goats, boys, and women.

    • That is what will happen if they win, and the only way they can win is if we don’t fight, if the west fights back we can’t lose. Of course we do have the massive army of leftist in the west sabotaging our every effort to save western civ.

      • They’re not going to have much success in my little corner of the world.
As for public schools, teaching to a curriculum I haven’t personally ok-ed, anything but! Look at a history book lately?

(Confess to strong feelings there; I wish more parents knew enough about what’s being taught to have any opinions at all.)

      • Enough to get sick, history I learned in grade school is now taught in high school of collage in the rare instances it is taught at all.
