One must tip ones hat to Michael Coren for this one. He had the courage to expose facts that the rest of the TV world simply will not deal with. While it is true that I see more and more MSM coverage of the consequences of Islam in the West, few have the courage to talk about the persecution of the Coptic people of Egypt, or Christians in Pakistan and Nigeria and many other parts of the world where Islam holds the whip hand.

This was a great show and I hope many people see it, not the least of which, Jason Kenny, minister of immigration, and ideally, also Canada’s FM.

Egyptian Policeman Shouted ‘Allahu Akbar’ Before Shooting Six Christians

(AINA) — Six Copts were shot by an off-duty policeman on a train between Assiut and Cairo on Tuesday. One Copt was killed and five remain in critical condition. The gunman, identified as Amer Ashour Abdel-Zaher, was on his way to work in Beni Mazar police station when he boarded the train at approximately 17.00 hours in the town of Samalout in Egypt’s Minya province, roughly 260 km south of Cairo. He shot the six Copts after chanting “Allahu Akbar” (Allah is Great) then attempted to flee but was apprehended by passengers.

Fathy Ghattas, a 71-year-old Coptic Christian, died immediately. His wife Emily Hanna underwent an operation to remove her left kidney and spleen. She is in intensive care. Another Coptic woman, Sabah Saniod, 54, underwent an operation on her liver. Three of the injured Copts, Marianne, Maggie and Ashraf, were flown by helicopter to Kasr-el-Aina teaching hospital in Cairo for further treatment.

The communique issued by the Egyptian interior Mministry said the gunman shot randomly at the train passengers, while according to the Egyptian newspaper al-Masry al-Youm the assailant had checked passengers for the green cross traditionally tattooed on the wrists of Coptic Christians in Egypt. After identifying several Copts, the gunman shot at them.

The Ministry of Interior later said that the assailant was “mentally unstable” and had been undergoing medical treatment for some time. The Governor of Minya denied any sectarian motives behind the incident and said that the assailant is unstable and shot indiscriminately at passengers.

The Coptic Diocese of Minya said that the perpetrator went up and down the train compartment before shooting at the Copts while chanting Islamic chants.

Dr.Naguib Ghabrial, head of the Egyptian Union of Human Rights Organizations, described the incident as a premeditated “sectarian” attack, aimed at the Copts, since they sat together and sang Christian hymns, and the assailant shouted Allahu Akbar three times before shooting.

Ghabrial criticized the Interior Ministry for downplaying the shooting as usual. “The gunman did not shoot at random, otherwise Muslims would have been wounded as well,” Ghabrial told BBC Arabic TV. “This is one in the series of attacks aimed at Copts, before this there was the Alexandria Massacre.”

“I am sorry that the Ministry hastily issued a statement that the assailant was mentally unstable.” Said Ghabrial. ” Would someone who is mentally unstable be issued with a weapon and ammunition, would he be able to differentiate between Copts and Muslims?” he said. “I am telling the Interior Minister do not under-estimate Coptic intelligence and do not undervalue Coptic blood, for Coptic blood is not cheap.” He called once again for the minister to resign after all these Coptic Massacres. Egyptian Muslim police throw rocks at hospital where Christians are being treated

The video quality is bad, and the description is inadequate. I am hoping someone who speaks Egyptian Arabic can translate what is being screamed here accurately. The impression I am getting, is that police are throwing rocks at the hospital where the Christians who were shot up on the train by the off duty police officer in a Christian district in Egypt, are being treated. I hope to get more and better intel on this soon.

Clashes between security officials and protesters erupted in Egypt on Jan. 11 after a 71-year-old Christian man was shot and killed on a train in Upper Egypt, Middle East World News reported. According to security officials, violent clashes broke out at the hospital where those injured in the shooting were taken. Police reportedly used tear gas to disperse the protesters.

A gunman who opened fire on a train Jan. 11 in southern Egypt, killing one and wounding five, was an off-duty policeman, the Egyptian Interior Ministry stated, AP reported. A 71-year-old man was killed, and the man’s wife and three other women were among the wounded; all of the victims are Christian. The shooter was identified as Amer Ashour Abdel-Zaher, and the motive for the attack is not yet known. Abdel-Zaher, a Muslim, was on his way to work when he boarded the train in Samalout, Minya province, and opened fire with a handgun. He was arrested nearby at his home after fleeing the scene and is being questioned, the ministry said.

Violence comes less than two weeks after a church was bombed

CAIRO — One Egyptian Christian was shot dead on a train on Tuesday and at least three others were injured, medical and security sources said, less than two weeks after a church was bombed in Egypt’s deadliest sectarian attack in years.

It was not immediately clear if the shooting incident was religiously motivated.

Mariam Salah, a doctor at a hospital in southern Egypt, said the institute was treating five injured Christians. She said one of them told her a sixth Christian was shot dead.

A security source confirmed one had been shot dead but said three were wounded.

The latest violence comes as Egypt dismissed Pope Benedict’s call for more protection of Christian minorities as “unacceptable interference” on Tuesday. In response, Egypt summoned its Vatican ambassador back to Cairo for consultation.

The head of the Roman Catholic Church on Monday condemned attacks on churches that killed dozens of people in Egypt, Iraq and Nigeria, saying they showed the need to adopt effective measures to protect religious minorities.

“Egypt asked its ambassador in the Vatican to come to Cairo for consultation after the Vatican’s new statements that touch on Egyptian affairs and which Egypt considers an unacceptable interference in its internal affairs,” Foreign Ministry spokesman Hossam Zaki said in a statement sent to Reuters.

“Cairo is keen to communicate with the Vatican after its statements following the terrorist incident in Alexandria that took place earlier this month”.

A New Year bombing outside a church in the Egyptian city of Alexandria left 23 people dead and dozens injured and prompted demonstrations by both Christians and Muslims.

Egyptian officials insist they are capable of protecting all citizens and said there are indications that “foreign elements” were behind the Jan. 1 blast. An Iraqi group linked to al Qaeda threatened in November to attack Egyptian Christians.

Terror threat on Australian churches

THREATS of terror attacks on at least four Australian churches prompted police to protect thousands of Coptic Christians during their Christmas Eve services.

Police yesterday surrounded the Coptic Orthodox churches in Sydney after a bomb blast killed 21 people during a New Year’s Eve Coptic church service in Alexandria, Egypt.

Coptic Churches around the world are also on high alert as their Christmas Eve services are scheduled for tomorrow.

On Thursday night in Sydney, bomb searches and police helicopters were part of the security measures that soured Christmas Eve celebrations.

Some church officials are worried that an attack may eventuate when least expected on any on of their churches, monasteries or schools in Australia.

A police detail searched St Antonious and St Paul parish in Guildford, in Sydney’s west, yesterday afternoon prior to its 7pm Christmas Eve services, a church official told AAP.

During the service, teams of officers surrounded the area while helicopters with spotlights searched the local suburb.

“There were threats to our church – three or four churches in the (Sydney) Coptic church,” said the man who asked not to be identified.

He said NSW Police contacted the church this week to say the Guildford site and three others in Sydney had been the target of a terrorist threat. Continue Reading →

Dutch Coptic churches threatened by al-Qaeda

I very much hope that the powers-that-won’t take this very seriously. If the attack on the Coptic church in Alexandria wasn’t enough for them, and it won’t be, and the attacks that have already happened to Churches in Europe aren’t enough, and they will be dismissed as the work of kids and vandals and petty thugs, then the published lists of Coptic targets in Canada and elsewhere should be enough. Al Qaeda is, as they say, an inch deep and a mile wide at this point. But the selective murder of soft targets is where a mile wide counts.

Three Coptic Orthodox churches in the Netherlands feature on an al-Qaeda list of possible bombing targets, say church spokespeople.

The churches in Eindhoven, Utrecht and Amsterdam are named on the website Shumukh al-Islam, along with dozens of other Coptic churches in Egypt and across Europe. The website has called for bomb attacks on the churches during the Coptic Christmas on 7 January.

The al-Qiddisin Church in the Egyptian city of Alexandria, where at least 21 people were killed in a bomb attack on Saturday, also featured on the list.

Jozef Rizkalla, the priest of the Coptic Church in Eindhoven, said “There’s nothing we can do, we can only pray and refer the matter to the police. We will go on with our celebrations.”

EU aid should be reduced or eliminated for countries that do not protect Christian minorities, Italian Foreign Minister Franco Frattini said Jan. 3, ANSA reported. Twenty-one Coptic Christians were killed in Alexandria, Egypt, during a church bombing Jan. 1. Italy cannot stay “isolated” in the battle for Christians’ rights and must shift from monitoring to action, Frattini said. The European Union should work with and encourage countries that respect Christians’ rights, he said. Italy will present a resolution on religious freedom to the United Nations; the resolution is supported by the European Union, and several non-EU nations have expressed “great interest.”

As you maybe aware, some of our peace loving Muslims, (supposed fellow humans) have devised a new method of welcoming the New Year and decade. Their method is rather unique, as it is a very new means of celebration. An improvised “Islamic firework” designed to murder and not delight.
The Improvised “Islamic Firework” was created solely for the Coptic Church in Alexandria and took the form of a high powered explosive.
The indigenous Copts were victims of radical Islamic extremist terrorists that killed 22 people and injured 79 Saturday 1/1/2011 12.30am after celebrating Mass on New Years Eve.
“The victims weren’t leaving a night club after a night of wild rebelling and celebration, drunk and high on drugs. They were leaving a holy place of worship after celebrating the New Year with the grace of God almighty”

To add insult to injury, Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, “President Damage Control”, quickly engaged in rhetoric blaming external forces for the vile sinister barbaric ungodly attack perpetrated by his fellow Muslim brothers in Alexandria.

I note dear President Damage control did not mention that fabricated Islamic lies in EGYPT are solely behind this act of butchery on innocent God fearing people.

Sadly the cheap Islamic rhetoric did not end there,
Hezbollah (an Islamic terrorists organization) had the repulsive audacity and indignation to claim the attack “comes as part of the most dangerous conspiracies aimed at religious diversity in more than one Arab and Muslim country to serve the Zionist scheme in occupied Palestine and the American scheme aimed at fragmenting our Arab and Islamic countries.”
The words of this barbaric Islamic sect are a disgrace, another Islamic lie “Taqqiya” and an opportunity they could not pass up, they use this horrific incident committed by their vile Islamic brothers into a “Cheap attack on the innocent Jewish Nation of Israel”. Islamic lying is alive and well, flourishing in the Islamic world.

President Damage Control, you are a failure. You assurances of guaranteed security for the Copts have proved to be hollow worthless words, and resulted in Coptic families mourning and burying their loved ones rather than celebrate the New Year.

President Damage Control, I remind you that your government sent an army of 5000 armed security officers on 24 November 2010 to storm a Coptic church “over the use of the building” and resulted in the murder of 4 Copts and 23 of my Coptic brothers are still been detained with out charge.


President Damage Control you security forces, instead of storming a church & “firing live ammunition at unarmed Copts”, they should have been working tirelessly on hunting down radical islamists terrorists not terrorizing innocent Christians who were deceived by your governor over the use of a building as a church prior to the attack? Egyptian Security Guards Withdrew One Hour Before Church Blast, Say Eyewitnesses

(AINA) — The car explosion that went off in front of Saints Coptic Orthodox Church in Alexandria killed 21 and injured 96 parishioners who were attending a New Year’s Eve Mass. According to church officials and eyewitnesses, there are many more victims that are still unidentified and whose body parts were strewn all over the street outside the church. The body parts were covered with newspapers until they were brought inside the church after some Muslims started stepping on them and chanting Jihadi chants (video showing dead bodies and limbs covered with newspapers in the street).

According to eyewitnesses, a green Skoda car pull up outside the church shortly after midnight. Two men got out , one of them talked shortly on his mobile phone, and the explosion occurred almost immediately after they left the scene. On the back of the Skoda was a sticker with the words “the rest is coming” (video of car explosion and Muslims shouting “Allah Akbar”).

It was reported that the bomb, locally made, had 100KG of explosives in addition to having nails, glass and iron balls inside. The strength of it not only caused glass panes to be shattered in all the neighborhood, but also made body parts fly into the building’s fourth floor, and to the mosque facing the church.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility but officials hastily blamed either Al-Qaida or the Israeli Mousad of being behind the blast, but none of them mentioned the Egyptian state security which is viewed by Copts as the real culprit.

To clear his security forces of negligence, the Minister of Interior said that the blast was an “individual” case, caused by a single suicide terrorist detonating his vest, and has nothing to do with an exploding car. The governor of Alexandria claimed the attack as being aimed at Muslims and Christians alike.

After the blast, traumatized Copts were angered by chants of “Allah Akbar” from Muslims and began hurling stones at the mosque. Immediately security forces which were absent during the car blast and the ensuing events, appeared and starting shooting tear gas at the Copts, and they in turn hurled stones at them, said an eyewitness. Gothenburg: Coptic Church closed down due to internet threats

The Coptic Christian church in Agnesberg (Gothenburg) was closed down after receiving an internet threat. The threat was vague, but the Swedish security service was called in .


There are about 400 Coptic families in Sweden, most living in the Stockholm area. The community in Gothenburg has about 200 members.

On Christmas Eve the community’s pastor, Father Shenouda, was visited by four police officers who said that there were calls on the internet for what the police called ‘activities’ against certain Christian churches in Europe.

Father Shenouda contacted his community members and told them that Sunday’s mass was canceled. The church is closed for up to two weeks, to enable the police to look for possible bombs. The Coptic Christmas Eve is on Jan. 6th, and they hope to be able to use the church by then.
