Germany: Journalist Sentenced to Six Months Jail for Publishing Historic Photo

[EDITOR’S NOTE: When this article was first written and published, it mistakenly said the photo was Amin al-Husseini, the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem at the time, and Adolph Hitler. It is indeed Amin al-Husseini but it is NOT Adolph Hitler. The article has been subsequently corrected. Sorry to all for the error, and this may explain the confusion in the comments. GERMANY – A district court in Munich earlier today sentenced German journalist Michael Stürzenberger to six months in jail and an additional 100 hours of charitable work for publishing this photo in his Facebook timeline.
It shows A ranking Nazi, and Amin al-Husseini, the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, shaking hands in 1941 in Berlin.

Along with the photo, he had written a review of an article in the Süddeutsche Zeitung, ‘Hakenkreuz und Halbmond’ (“Swastika and Crescent Moon”) about the National Socialists’ admiration for Islam, and mentioned his own review of that Süddeutsche article in PI-News.

For this post, in particular the photo, the court found Stürzenberger guilty of “disseminating propaganda of anti-constitutional organizations”.
Prosecution had accused Stürzenberger of “inciting hatred towards Islam” and “denigrating Islam” by publishing the photo. A superficial onlooker, prosecution argued, could not know that this black and white photo in Stürzenberger’s timeline was a historical document.

According to PI-News, the sentence might be given as a suspended sentence for three and a half years.

Heidenau – The image is blood curdling. A man is climbing out of an attic window, one leg already on the roof. He has got his eight month old baby in a carrier in front of his belly. The mother is pulling at it desperately. To prevent her child from falling down.

A neighbour was photographing the scene: „I was walking my dog when I heard cries for help. The woman yelled, ,Put the knife away‘. Then the man appeared in the window, with the baby.

Shortly thereafter, police storm the attic apartment in Haeckel Street in Heidenau. The officers pull the child back into the apartment, then the man. Already before noon that day, police had to get Ahmed E. (26) from his partner’s (Daniela N., 36) apartment.

The asylum seeker from Morocco had to hand over the apartment keys, and – as he appeared to be completely beside himself – was taken to a psychiatric hospital. But he escaped from there, returned to the house, and climbed in through an open window of a ground floor apartment. The tenant was unable to stop him, he tells Bild: „He had a switchblade knife.“

Unsuspectingly, Daniela opened the door again for the father of her child, upon which he allegedly beat her and threatened her with the knife. Then he seized the child. Mother and child were taken into hospital. “I never want anything to do with this guy again”, says Daniela N.

On Tuesday, it was announced that the Prosecutor issued an arrest warrant against the 26-year-old for suspicion of dangerous battery, criminal mischief, trespassing, and threat. There will be an investigation for child murder. But according to the speaker, there are doubts that the man indeed intended to kill the child.

Berlin-based newspaper Der Tagesspiegel runs this headline today, in an op-ed about Friday’s Supermarket attack in Hamburg:

“The Nation of Law Must Not Be Sacrificed For the Protection of the Citizens.

Germany will have to learn to live with deeds like in Hamburg.”

This display of postmodernism is so brilliant that we weren’t sure it wasn’t in fact a parody. But as Der Tagesspiegel are at the very forefront of German ‘Progressivism’, they are probably serious.

Iraqi goes on Shooting Spree in German nightclub, 2 Dead, Several Injured

1. Two Dead, Several Injured at Shooting in Discotheque in Konstanz –
at the Moment no Cues to Terorrist Background.
From Südkurier:

Cruel scenes in a discotheque in Konstanz. A 34-year-old opened fire with a weapon, according to police. A security staff is dead, several people injured. The alleged perpetrator succumbed to his injuries in hospital after an exchange of shooting with the police. His motive is unclear.

Again, a severe attack in a club in Konstanz takes a death toll. It was sunday morning around 4:30 CET, when police received several emergency calls. A 34-year-old had invaded the discotheque Grey with a weapon and went on a shooting spree. A security staffer was lethally shot.

Three people are currently in hospital with partially grave injuries. The alleged perpetrator is dead, too. Only as late as march, a young man had stabbed a 19-year-old dead in a Shisha-bar.

Perpetrator was known to police 
Poilce confirms that the 34-year old alleged perpetrator is an Iraqi. He had been living in Germany since 2001, a well informed source confirms to to Südkurier. He had been living in Konstanz for more than 15 years, police confirms. He was not an asylum seeker. He was known to the police for several offenses, among others drug related crime, well informed circles tell Südkurier.

As witnesses describe to Südkurier, the man intruded the discotheque from the parking lot with a rapid-fire weapon, killing a security staff member. In the discotheque, he fired shots and injured several people. Then he left the building, as police speaker Bernd Schmidt announces.

The 34-year-old ran towards their direction so an exchange of shooting took place. The officers hit the man, he died shortly thereafter in hospital. One policeman was gravely, injured too, a joint press release by Prosecution and Police announces, but his life is not in danger.

Currently no cues to terrorist background
The guests fled from the discotheque in panic and took shelter, police announce.
It was unclear initially whether it was a single perpetrator or if the 34-year-old had accomplices. At this point in time, the investigators can exclude this, as police speaker Bernd Schmidt explains, the man was on his own. Police was there with a special task force, and  a helicopter was searching the area for possible other perpetrators.

It remains unclear at this point why he invaded the discotheque with a weapon. Schmidt announces that at this point there are no cues as to whether there is a terrorist background.

As Bild learned, the shooter had prior been causing a ruckus in the disco and got kicked out. It seems he did not want to put up with that …
The shooter of the discotheque in Konstanz returned with an assault weapon to the soon-to-be crime scene after a fight. The man shot down a security member at the entrance, according to Prosecution in Konstanz on Sunday.
The shooter, a convicted felon of Iraqi-Kurdish background, went to fetch an assault rifle after an argument in the club, and returned to the discotheque. The shooter were the son-in-law of the owner of the discotheque.

Hamburg Terror: Report from the Joint Press Conference of the Interior Senate and the Police of Hamburg

Opening statement by Andy Grote, Senator of the Interior Hamburg, Social Democrats:
One dead, seven injured, partly gravely; a random „barbaric“ knife attack in an everyday situation that could have hit any of us.

What makes it worse is that the perpetrator came to our town asking for our protection.
Thank you to the citizens who detained him, they were very courageous and determined

The Department of Public Prosecution is leading the investigations. The perpetrator was known to the Intelligence Agencies, they had cues to a radicalization. There was contact to him, talks from the State Office for Criminal Investigations and the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution.
He was not seen as immediately dangerous. But he was classified an Islamist, not a Jihadist.

It was a random attack with primitive equipment at a random place. We do not have any clues at the moment to others involved, we assume a single perpetrator, psychologically unstable.

The perpetrator was obliged to leave the country, he did not object to his asylum application being rejected, and he was cooperative in getting new passport. Only yesterday he spoke to the aliens registration authority. The Palestinian National Authority was willing to issue new papers for him, so we were expecting him to leave soon.

The city must stand together, we must confront the hate that manifested itself in this deed, we must not let fear rule our daily lives. We should probably adapt a combative attitude like the citizens who detained the perpetrator.

Thank you to the doctors fighting for the lives of the injured and comforting their families.

Statement by Hamburg Police President Ralf Martin Meyer
We received the first call at 15:11, the deed was at 15:10. The caller said a person was attacking people with a knife in the Edeka supermarket at Fuhlsbütteler Street. We immediately sent forces. It was unclear at that point whether it was Amok or Terror. After Munich, the concept for such situations was changed: the patrol cars were equipped with protective armor. The first officers who arrived were plainclothes officers, they saw men at the Hellbrookstraße surrounding one person, and as the situation was unclear to them, they fired warning shots. Then they determined that the person attacked was the perpetrator. They handcuffed him and called for an ambulance, as the perpetrator showed head injuries.

The perpetrator had attacked people in the supermarket and on the street when he was fleeing.

A mobile task force began a manhunt, as it was unclear at this moment how many attackers there were.

As it quickly became apparent that the perpetrator resided in the refugee acommodation Kiwittsmoor in the district Hamburg-Ochsenzoll

There was one lethally injured victim in the Edeka supermarket and five injured on the street who had to be taken to hospital.

It quickly became apparent that he was a single perpetrator. This does not exclude that there might be instigators in the background.

Statement by Hennings, leader of the Investigation Team
The attacker went to Edeka and bought sandwich toast. Then, he left the supermarket, entered a bus, but immediately left the bus again. It is unclear why. He then went back into the Edeka supermarket at 15:10, and 15:11 police received the first call for help. He went straight to a shelf of a kitchenware company and took a kitchen knife with a 20cm long blade from it, tore it out of the packaging, ran towards the victim, who later deceased, and attacked him brutally, without any prior warning at all. He then attacked the person next to the first victim and wounded him most seriously. Then he went to the entrance and attacked another male, 19 year old, person gravely.

After he had committed these 3 crimes in the supermarket, he left and bumped into two people who were standing at their bicycles, and attacked and injured the two of them, and then injured another female cyclist, but not with his knife. Then, he injured another, 64 year old man, and badly injured him.

At this moment citizens who had been witnessing what was going on began pursuing the perpetrator and attacking him with items. In this moment the plainclothes officers arrived. All this happened within a few minutes.

The perpetrator was arrested in Hellbrookstraße, after he had managed to run away and attack another female person in the Schwalbenstraße. He still had his knife in his hand when he was arrested in Hellbrookstraße.

Statement by Mr. Fröhlich, Office for Public Prosecution
A district attorney was immediately sent to the crime scene. The district attorney immediately requested a search warrant for the perpetrator’s accommodation, which was immediately granted.. At the search, no weapons were found. There was an inquiry made to the criminal database, the perpetrator has got one entry for a supermarket theft in april 2017, which was cessated due to paragraph 153 pettiness.

The perpetrator is presented to the committing magistrate right now. We have requested an arrest warrant for murder and five-fold attempted murder. He appears mentally instable. He has not yet commented on the crime, because he has got strong headaches due to the arrest.

Statement by Torsten Voss, Office for Protection of the Constitution
The accused is one of 800 suspects we have classified as ‘Islamists’ in Hamburg; but we have not classified him as a ‘Jihadist’.

An acquaintance of the accused contacted police. He was worried by changes that he had seen in the suspect. The police passed these informations on to us, and we spoke to the whistleblower. The whistleblower told us that the perpetrator had been partying and drinking alcohol, but studdenly stopped doing that, and started talking about the Koran. This worried him so he wanted to speak to us.

The accused has excellent command of English and Norwegian, but not of German. When we spoke to him we had the impression that he was a mentally disturbed personality, but not immediately dangerous.

Afterwards, it became apparent that for example he had loudly recited Koran suras in refugee cafes, and the manager of the refugee accommodation where he lives contacted us too.

So we instructed police to conduct a psychological evaluation. The evaluation concluded a mixed form of mental instability and religious radicalization. We wanted to have him examinated at that point. He is not a member in the local Islamist scene. We do not have hints to a network. He seems to be a single person, living in Hamburg on his own, who suddenly changed. He had mixed opinions about living in Hamburg. At his most recent visit to the Aliens’ Registration Authority, he absolutely wanted to leave Germany.

Press Questions and Answers:

Q: which nationality?
DA Grösser: he is ethnically Palestinian. Did not have a passport with him, but a birth certificate showing that he appears to have been in the UAE. He was sent to the „Palestinian Mission“ in Berlin twice. They signaled us that they were ready to accept him as a Palestinian and issue papers for him. He was cooperative in that. We were indeed expecting to shortly receive papers for him. The final approval of the Palestinian Authority in Palestina was missing. This whole process takes a few months.

Q: You spoke to him and saw a radicalization. Was he seen as a ‘risk’?
Grösser: he had not been that long in Germany and in Hamburg. We have clues from the whistleblower, and our own impressions, but we rather tended towards mental instability, rather than religiously motivated. The aggravation of ‘Islamist’ is ‘Jihadist’, but he did not fall into this category. ‘Risk’ is a police term.

Meyer, Police: he did not reach the category where we have to take concrete measures. His cooperation regarding his papers was commendable, so we did not assess him being a ‘risk’

Q: finger prints, phone analyzed?
[name]: He came to Germany in 2015, from Norway. He had before that resided in Sweden and Norway. He arrived in Dortmund and was distributed to Hamburg, arrived here in March 2015, and applied for asylum in May 2015. As he had come via Norway, Sweden and Spain, he told us that he expected better perspectives here, as he was told in Norway that he did not have any chance for asylum there. As he had his birth certificate with him, we do not have reason to doubt his identity. His application for asylum was rejected in November 2016, the deportation process is ongoing since.

Hennings: yes we have his mobile phone, from one of the several crime scenes, but also mobile phones from his acommodation. Extensive material that we will analyze.

Hamburg Jihadi a Palestinian Refugee

The attacker who today killed one man in a supermarket in Hamburg and injured six other people, one of them gravely, was a Palestinian ‘refugee’ named Ahmed al H., according to the German newspaper Tagesspiegel. He was born in 1991 in Saudi Arabia and came to Germany as a refugee. Although he was due to be deported, he couldn’t, for his lack of papers.
He is reported to have been known to German intelligence agencies as an extremist and as a so-called ‘risk’, people who German intelligence agencies assess as willing to commit acts of violence.
According to Bild, the refugee accomodation where H. was residing was raided this evening by police.

Below are a video of passers-by fighting the attacker with chairs; and the English press releases Hamburg Police have made for tonight.

Due to todays events a special commission was set up, which is entrusted with the further investigation. The investigation will be conducted under participation of the homicide department (LKA 41) and the state security department (LKA 7).

The suspect is a 26 year-old male, born in the United Arab Emirates (U.A.E.). His current citizenship has yet to be clarified.
The presumtive murder weapon was found and seized.

Because of identity cards that were found it is currently assumed, that the killed person is a 50 year-old German male.
As far as we know by know one woman (54 y.o.) and four men (64, 57, 56 and 19 y.o.) suffered knife-stabbing injuries. A 35 year-old man was injured while overpowering the suspect. Some of the injuries are severe. The injured persons are currently treated/ under surgery in different hospitals.

A special phone line +4940-4272727 for clues was set up by the special commission.
The investigation will be conducted in all directions. This includes explicitly the investigation of the state security department.

Meanwhile it is clear that the suspect attacked one of the victims in the supermarket. This person died at the scene of crime. While trying to escape the suspect injured additional four people with his knife.

Passers-by were able to overpower the fleeing suspect. The suspect was lighty injured. Arriving plainclothes policemen arrested the suspect.

For the time being there are no clues that there was a second offender.

The background of the act is yet to be explained. Investigations will continue.

Essen. Mysterious Incident in Essen: Police are trying to shine light into the dark of a possible assault on Friday to Saturday night.
At 2:09 AM, a witness informed the police and said that a group of young men was assaulting a young woman at the cathedral on Kettwiger Street.
The woman might have defended herself with a self defense spray. Thereupon, the seven young men allegedly ran away.

Some of the men ran into Kettwiger Street towards Viehofer Street. Here, the police officers stopped them shortly thereafter, near a discotheque.

The men who reside in Essen and Castrop-Rauxel explained crying that they were sprayed with teargas by a woman.
But police were unable to find the woman. It remains unclear if it was dangerous battery on part of the woman, or a sexual assault by the men.
The officers filed a criminal complaint that same night.
Police ask witnesses, and especially the young woman, to get into contact with the Police Essen. The service line 0201-8290 will be operating 24 hours for hints and questions.

“He could not find stability in Germany”

DNA traces convicted him as the perpetrator. The Prosecutor demanded more than ten years prison for the defendant for particularly grave rape (range of sentences: 5-15 years).

The mild sentence: seven years of prison. The judge: “He had a difficult development, was unable to find stability. But Naji N. accepts his responsibility.”

19 months of probation for battery were taken into account for the sentence. The Moroccan had beaten another woman black and blue…

Brutish Rape of Heavily Pregnant Woman (22): Mild Penalty for Naji N.

Germany. Naji N. (27) from Morocco will only have to serve seven years prison time, after he had been raping and torturing a heavily pregnant 22-year-old from Hannover for hours. “He did not find stability in Germany”, the judge explains the mild sentence.

In summer 2015, the soon-to-be mother of twins was on her way home around 3.20, when the Moroccan, who was already notorious with the police, hit her on the head from behind.

Then, he dragged the 22-year-old German into an elevator. There, he beat up the young woman who was seven months pregnant, and repeatedly raped her. The beatings to her face were “potentially life-threatening“, the court established later.

Bild reported that the sex fiend cynically caressed the baby belly during the assault. The ordeal lasted more than two hours.

Police kept the case secret

Finally, the victim was able to free herself with the last of her strength, and run onto the street. A passer-by discovered the woman covered in blood and clad in a T-shirt only.

It took more than a year until Naji N. was arrested in November 2016. Police had not released any information whatsoever on the case.

Monday, the District Court Hannover sentenced the asylum seeker to seven years and three months prison time for rape and battery. Prosecution had demanded more than ten years.

The perpetrator had a “difficult development”

The 22-year-old suffered “significant physical and mental harm from the assault”, as the court announced, according to HAZ.
Judge Volker Löhr explained the short prison term with the Moroccan having a “difficult development” and “not finding stability” in Germany. A previous conviction for torturing a woman was factored in this sentence.

G20 riots: An all-round carefree package for the Black Block

The Black Block in Hamburg had their own paramedics, and a network of attorneys working for them during the riots; Mayor of Hamburg a member of that network.

Vlad posted a video of Andreas Beuth, speaker, and attorney, of the Black Block Hamburg earlier, where Beuth says he has sympathies for looting and rioting, but not in Antifa’s own neighborhood, the Schanze, please:

Beuth is a criminal attorney, legal representative of the Rote Flora, and functioned as the speaker of the Black Block at the G20 protests.
He has been defending accused against the city of Hamburg in high-profile cases since the 90s, for example, antifa members who were accused of attempted murder (Plattenlegerprozess), Somali pirates who had hijacked a freight ship under German flag and therefore had come into German custody (Piratenprozess), and militant “refugees” (Lampedusa case), to name a few.

The Rote Flora, of which Beuth is the legal representative, opened in 1888 as „Theater Flora“, and has been a squat ever since 1989. The senate of Hamburg could just never bring themselves to evict it.
Officially a „cultural centre“, it is a hub of Antifa and „Autonomen“ (Black Block), and the scene of increasingly brutal clashes with the police on a regular basis.

The Rote Flora is situated in the Sternschanze quarter, short Schanze or Schanzenviertel. Many locals – not just Antifa – fondly call the Rote Flora “the heart of the Schanze”.

The Schanze was the scene of the most severe clashes with police during the anti G20 riots on Friday night. „Protesters“ had positioned themselves on roofs of buildings, and were throwing stones and molotov cocktails down on the police, as filmed here from a police helicopter with an infrared camera:

This was when the police had to retreat, which left residents defenseless against lootings and arsons for about an hour or two, until the special forces were able to move in at 11:30 PM and take back the Schanze, house after house, street after street.

Just a bit further down the street from the Rote Flora, there is the attorney’s office Schulterblatt 36.
Schulterblatt 36 are the legal representatives of the anti G20 protest “Welcome to Hell” on Thursday, the event where the escalation of violence began.

Should you find yourself getting arrested for attacking an officer, no worries, there is a helpline to call, the “Anwaltliche Nothilfe” (“Legal Emergency Aid”).

This “Legal Emergency Aid” was specifically founded for G20 protesters, by the “Anwaltsverein”, a far left attorney’s organization, and the “Rote Hilfe” (“Red Help”, a far-left prisoner support group). The website of the “Legal Emergency Aid” is multilingual and in English, as protesters were expected from all across Europe, and they describe their work at the G20 as follows:

“Lawyers from the Legal Team will be present at demonstrations and other protest actions to support participants in realizing and protecting their basic rights and, if necessary, to represent them vis-à-vis the police.

One central task of the Legal Team of Lawyers will be the representation of persons detained in the context of the protests against the summit in Hamburg. To fulfill this task, the Legal Team will be present at demonstrations and protest actions, but also in the detention centers (Gefangenensammelstellen, GeSa) in order to advise those detained and to represent them, above all in court hearings concerning their detention.”

 

But the service does not end with legal aid. According to a firefighters spokesman, the protesters had their own paramedics at the protests, and were treated in a base hospital in the Rote Flora if necessary.

The idea behind this is obviously that when you are injured in a violent confrontation with police, you do not want to show up in a hospital, where you will be identified.

The “Anwaltsverein”, who is behind the Emergency Aid, describe themselves as a civil rights organization. Note how bland their website is, although a closer look reveals how it is solely specializing in defending political extremists and criminals, and how they choose unsuspicious names for their endeavors like “Anwaltsverein”, (“Society of Lawyers”), “Anwaltliche Nothilfe” (“Legal Emergency Aid”), and even the almost governmental-sounding “Ermittlungsausschuss” (“Investigative Committee”).

But they have just been declared „dangerous“ by the Police of Hamburg (Hamburger Abendblatt, 07.07.17)

It will hardly surprise anyone familiar with circumstances in Hamburg that a daily newspaper like the respectable Hamburger Abendblatt employs a member of “Anwaltsverein” as a contributing writer, and gives the “Legal Emergency Aid” a video platform to attack the police.

And it won’t surprise you either then that that the mayor of Hamburg, Olaf Scholz (SPD, Social Democrats), is a member of the “Anwaltsverein”, too.

G20 Hamburg: Peaceful Protesters

Hamburg – Federal Police seized this equipment from a 20 year old “protester” Saturday afternoon. The second photo shows the leg injury a police officer sustained from a metal ball shot from a slingshot during the anti G20 “protests”. Another officer sustained a through-and-through-wound of the shoulder by such metal ball.
According to Police Hamburg’s statement on Facebook, they were under constant attack from slingshots, bricks and bottles.
The official count at midnight CET was 196 injured officers at the “protests” surrounding the G20 summit in Hamburg, the number should rise once it is updated. One officer sustained a fractured skull from an attack with an iron bar, another officer had to fire a warning shot in self defense.
There were 14 arrests and 63 temporary arrests made during the night from Friday to Saturday.

 

The most concerning aspect of all of this, of course, is, that it might be grist to the mills of the conservatives:

“The violent criminals of Hamburg might have the doubtful merit of causing a swing to the right that will surpass even Cologne!

In the end, the political Right will profit from violence, the aim of which is to discredit what peaceful globalism-critics are fighting for!”

G20 – Riots and Looting in Hamburg – Armed Forces Moving In

Reportedly, a smartphone store was looted, too, and the masked rioters then fought about the phones.

At around 11h PM CET, the Police Hamburg tweeted out that the situation in the affected district Schanzenviertel was “very serious” and asked “non-participants” to evacuate the area.

At 11:30 PM CET, special armed forces began moving in.


According to a Die Welt report from today, shop owners in Schanzenviertel district had been blackmailed by left extremists. One shop owner says that

“either you would hang a certain poster with the motive of the “Welcome to Hell” protest into your shop window – for a contribution towards costs of 20 Euro – or you would have to expect your shop windows to be smashed.”
