KNESSET DRUSE ARAB MINISTER AYOOB KARA VISITS VIENNA AND THE FPÖ

The Tundra Tabloids friend and colleague, Elisabeth Sabaditch-Wolff asks the TT to publish the following news about a symposium that took place just before Christmas. An Israeli Arab member of parliament, Ayoob Kara,  gave an important speech that needs to be spread throughout the blogosphere. KGS

ESW: The day before Christmas the Freedom Party (FPÖ) invited the interested public to a symposium titled: “Peace in the Middle East – A Pious Hope?” with minister Ayoub, Mr. Strache, Mr. David Lasar and other high-ranking FPÖ officials on the podium.

It is important to cooperate with every element, organization or party to fight terror, religious fundamentalism, which is a problem and danger to the entire world. I want to mee with Europeans because the same thing happened 60 years ago [alluding to the dangers prior to the Nazi takeover of Germany and World War II]. People were naive back then, they are naive now. People are not speaking out loud about the problems. Muslims are killing people everyday, but nothing is happening [no one is reacting].

I want to thank Mr. Strache, FPÖ, and all parties in Europe that Israel is on the frontline [of this war]. In the future there will be organizations in the every corner. Today in Israel, tomorrow in Sweden in Austria, everywhere.

I am not Jewish, but I am more Jewish than the Jews themselves. Non-Jews in Israel feel the same as Jews. I will fight with my Druse friends. They [the Muslims] hate us, they kill [us], and we defend Israel, we fight for Israel. There are only two million of us [Druse]. In Syria, Druse are sent to jail, there is no defense possible.

Other Arab states are sending messages to Israel that they are afraid of Iran and fundamentalism, but they cannot say it publicly. People are afraid because there are no human rights in the Middle East.

We must stop these fundamentalist organizations. Islam says: “We have the solution. All must submit to Islam.” But I like liberal life. They hate my policies. I speak out: I want the world to be free. Seventy years ago, people were quiet and did nothing to stop the situation. I am here today [to say]: Let us stop Islamic fundamentalism together before Iran attacks us. If you are afraid, you cannot stop anything. [But] we must stop this.

In Israel, they are saying: “Why are you going to Austria?”

I say: “Let us be together! I am glad to be sitting here next to my friend HC Strache!”

Strache’s reply: “I was not in Israel incognito. I was in a dialogue with minister Kara. It is important to have dialogue. Mr. Kara has been criticized heavily by Ariel Muzicant [the leader of the Jewish Faith Community in Vienna]. This is absurd! It is a result of the SPÖ (Social Democratic Party) and its ideology. FPÖ has been denounced for decades. But the ideals of freedom must be defended!.

2011: The Year of the Truth About Islam
Gandalf (The Younger) is the French anti-sharia activist who blogs at Vérité, Valeurs & Démocratie (Truth, Values, & Democracy) and founded the Alliance to Stop Sharia. He points out that each new year is labeled “The Year of [Something]”, where “Something” is usually a trendy politically correct issue, such as equal pay for women or the welfare of baby polar bears.

He was inspired to designate 2011 as the year of something different, and christened the coming new year as “L’année de la vérité sur l’islam” — The Year of Truth About Islam. In partnership with Aeneas of the International Civil Liberties Alliance, Gandalf launched his initiative at the ICLA website in English and French:

Islam today is a politico-religious system based on the principle of slavery.

The goal of Islamic ideology, as depicted in its fundamental texts, is to enforce, willingly or not, Sharia law upon Humanity.

Sharia law contains the obligation of Jihad, to wage it or to support those who do it, militarily, politically, culturally, socially, and economically.

Sharia law violates Human Rights and the principles of Democracy, it abolishes the right to life, and it threatens the physical integrity and right to property of those who refuse to submit.

It has encouraged conquest, wars, slavery, countless persecutions and murders, and genocides like the Armenian one and today’s systematic attempts to annihilate religious minorities. 14 centuries of efforts to enforce Sharia law on mankind have carved a bloody scar in human history.

Any promotion or spreading, directly or indirectly, of Sharia law make those who commit it are accomplices to religious incitement to hatred and violence on a worldwide scale and thus accomplices of a crime against humanity.

This must be known, this must be said.

We declare 2011 to be the International Year of Truth About Islam.

Ontario Appeals Court doubles sentence for terrorist Khawaja, making clear distinction between terrorism and other crimes

Court doubles Khawaja’s sentence

OTTAWA – Ontario’s highest court has more than doubled the 2009 prison sentence handed to convicted Ottawa terrorist Momin Khawaja, the first Canadian convicted under the Anti-terrorism Act, and increased the sentences of three men convicted in the so-called Toronto 18 terror plot.

In a stinging decision released today, the three-judge panel imposed what amounts to a 24-year sentence on Khawaja, overturning the 15-year sentence Ottawa trial judge Douglas Rutherford imposed on him for his role in a 2004 al-Qaeda inspired plot to bomb public sites in and around London, England. Rutherford gave Khawaja, then 29, credit for the five years he spent in pre-trial custody, reducing his term to 10.5 years.

Even so, the defence appealed the sentencing as too harsh and asked that he be freed based on time served. Crown prosecutors cross-appealed, seeking a tougher sentence.

The appeal court’s decision includes a life term on one of six charges – Rutherford initially imposed a four-year term on the same offence – with no chance of parole for at least 10 years.

Khawaja’s lawyer, Lawrence Greenspon, told a news conference at his downtown Ottawa office that he will urge his client, who is in a supermax prison north of Montreal, to appeal Friday’s decision to the Supreme Court.

The court’s decision also overturned Rutherford’s striking down as unconstitutional the essential section of the Act requiring authorities to prove terrorism offences are motivated for political, religious or ideological reasons.

The decision means there is once again be a clear legal distinction between terrorism and other crimes. Continue Reading →

Press TV gets it sort of right with the Paris anti-sharia conference

Iranian state TV, Press TV, covered the counter jihad conference in Paris this weekend and actually got some of it right. The fact is however, the praying in the street has little to nothing to do with “not enough mosque space” and everything to do with establishing the primacy of Islam in France. Many mosques go empty during the Friday ‘prayer’ demonstrations of the power of Islam in France.

The comments on the youtube page for this video came in fast and furious. Some might amuse.

Good afternoon, ladies and and gentlemen.

I am delighted to be here in Paris, the birthplace of modern European secular governance. And I am especially delighted to have been invited here by Gandalf, who founded the Alliance to Stop Sharia. Gandalf has been instrumental in shifting the focus of the European Counterjihad from Islam as a religion to the evils of sharia law.

When you discuss Islam and/or sharia law, have you been accused of being an Islamophobe? A nazi? A xenophobe? A bigot? A misunderstander of Islam (copyright R. Spencer)? Have you been verbally attacked by well-meaning friends who belong either to the Leftist/Liberal spectrum and believe in the Religion of Respect and Anything Goes, or who in principle agree with you, but are sooo very afraid for you and suggest that you stop what you’re doing to stay alive. (What does that tell us about the Religion of Peace?)

I think I can safely assume that most of you, if not all, have at one point or another been subjected to some or all of the aforementioned accusations. I can certainly testify to that. But I can also tell you that I have been hauled into court to face trial for saying what I believe is the truth; a truth that many, especially those of the ruling elite, do not like to hear. Sadly, it seems that in a discussion, when one side has no real argument, he or she resorts to personal attacks. “This woman [as if I didn’t have a name!], she is a hate preacher. She can’t say that! She may be right, but she can’t say that!” Can’t say what?

That sharia law is contrary to any of our secular laws? That its legal provisions include gender apartheid as well as killing of those who leave Islam or exercise the right to free speech. That sharia prescribes amputation of limbs and crucifixion even though Article 5 of Universal Declaration of Human Rights postulates that “No one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment.” Well, guess what? That is precisely what was eventually found in the charges!

Ladies and Gentlemen!

In fall 2009, I was asked by the largest Austrian opposition party to hold a three-part seminar on the topic of Islam and the Islamization of Europe. I did this by quoting from the Quran, the hadith, the sunna. I also quoted well-known Muslim politicians like Erdogan, Ghadafi, Arafat, or the former Algerian prime minister. Little did I or the attendants know at the time that a young journalist had infiltrated and recorded the first two seminars without my knowledge. The left-wing magazine then decided to report me to the authorities, who in turn charged me with incitement to hatred. Let me quote the relevant paragraph:

By virtue of § 283 of the StGB, a person is deemed culpable of incitement:

(1) who incites or instigates in a manner liable to jeopardise public order an inimical act against a church or religious community established in the country or against a group determined by their affiliation to such a church or religious community, or to a race, people, tribe or state, or

(2) who agitates against or insults in a manner defamatory to human dignity or endeavours to condemn one of the groups defined in para. (1).

The crime is liable to a term of imprisonment of up to two years.

French Defence League is planning to fight back against occupation

The French Defence League is going to have a pork in to fight back against the Muslims who have taken over various streets for public prayers, which by the way is illegal in France for any group, in over 40 cities.

Here is a video which loosely explains the plan. More is available on their website but I would ask all who can afford it, to please consider sponsoring a pig, or at least buying a membership and if you are in France, or can go there for the event, join in. This, should be a day to remember. Bring some wine.

Caller to CFRA’s John Counsell show has ideas on how to stop terrorism

This is interesting.A called to what is probably Canada’s best traditional media, CFRA AM Radio 580 which has Lowell Green for 2 hours a day who is the most vocal and courageous about Islam and unbridled immigration and the consequences to Western Civilization as well as Nick Vandergragt and others, got this call to the John Counsell show Dec. 7th. Fortunately Counsell archives all his shows on the CFRA Web site where I downloaded it and uploaded this one call here. The video portion is pretty much meaningless except for a couple of amusing pics shopped by Tundra Tabloids that are of related matter.

EDL march Peterborough 11th of December 2010

Memo for Peterborough Demonstration, 11/12/2010
How can a year end so perfectly, Christmas and New year are on the way, and we have our final demo of the year, and its not by any means an average arranged demo.

This time we have been met with open arms, I said in the last memo I wrote about Nuneaton that “I couldn’t help but feel that the establishment and the civil services were starting to feel sincere to our cause”, well now I know that we are gaining support in more areas we needed.

The Edl along with Cambridgeshire police and a bit of help from Peterborough council have achieved a successful demonstration, the council even accepted our plans to shut down one of Peterborough’s busiest city centre’s dual carriageways and its main bridge, they have even moved the
Peterborough united football clubs game from the Saturday to the Friday just to accommodate us, and we thank PUFC for being so facilitating, usually we’d never ask, but our message is urgent.

All coaches are to make their way to Haddon services, junction 17, A1m, Northbound, please get here between 10:30am and midday, you will be marshalled in as you arrive immediately to Peterborough united football club car park, anyone a little late, don’t worry I’ve organised police to stay there until 12:30pm, to facilitate any late comers, from PUFC car park you will be directed in the direction of the public houses.

All cars and minibuses are to make their way to PUFC car park from 10:45am to 11:30am, you will also be directed towards the public houses.

Anyone arriving by train please get to Peterborough train station between 10:30am and no latter than 12:00pm, the police will direct you to the public houses.

Anyone arriving by foot please make your way to the public houses for no earlier than 11:00am and no latter than 12:00pm.

The three public houses that will be available to us on the day are:

The Peacock, London rd, PE2-8AR
The Cherry Tree, Oundle rd, PE2-9PB
Charters, Oundle rd, PE1-1FP

The pubs aren’t right next to each other but only a couple of minutes walk apart, from these public houses we will be making our way to PUFC car park which you will be directed to by our stewards and the police, we will leave the public houses at 12:45pm to start our march at 13:00pm.

We will march into the city centre where our static demonstration will take place in the middle of the shopping district, you will be met by Tony Curtis who will be introducing live music and speakers from the English Defence League, the static part of the demonstration will start at 13:30pm when we arrive, and finish at 15:00pm, we will then march back to PUFC car park where you will be able to board onto your transport to exit Peterborough, anybody arriving by foot or going back to the train station will also be accommodated for.

Its been a great year, we are moving forward quite rapidly, lets end the year the way we will start 2011, by letting them know, Its our streets!!!

Let me start by saying that it is with great sadness that I share your grief over the deaths of more than 40 brave Israelis who lost their lives — many while trying to save others in the great fire near Haifa. My country, the Netherlands, is amongst other countries helping to put down this fire, which is threatening the lives and property of thousands of your compatriots. I offer my heartfelt condolences to the families of those who perished. My thoughts are with them.

Israel is an immense source of inspiration for me. When I came to your country for the first time as a teenager, I lived here for a year.

I am not ashamed to stand with Israel, but proud. I am grateful to Israel. I will always defend Israel. Your country is the cradle of Western civilization. We call it the Judeo-Christian civilization with good reason.

Israel is often being treated unfairly. The world looks at the plight of the Palestinians in refugee camps in Lebanon, Gaza, and other places, and many blame Israel. The UN claims that there are over 4.7 million Palestinian refugees, and many blame Israel. These voices say the Palestinians should be allowed to return to “Palestine.” But where is Palestine? Many say Israel must solve the problems of Palestine. But is Israel guilty of the plight of the Palestinian refugees?

My answer is “No.” The Arab leaders are to be blamed — and Islam is to be blamed. Let me first tell you why, and then I will tell you where Palestine can be found.

At the end of World War II, there were 50 million refugees. Today, all the refugee problems dating from before the 1950s have been solved. All, except one — the problem of the Palestinians.

Why did this problem not get solved? The reason is simple: Because the Arab countries did not allow it to get solved. And because Islam does not allow it to get solved.
In May 1948, the number of Jews in the Arab countries was estimated to be close to 1 million. Today, fewer than 8,000 Jews are left in the entire Arab world. In 1948, the Arab countries forced the Jews out and confiscated their properties. More Jews fled the Arab countries than Arabs fled Israel. Where are the Jewish refugee camps? There are none.

David Yerushalmi: Fighting Sharia through law

I would like to mention that I had the opportunity to hear Mr. Yerushlami speak at a symposium in Washington a couple of years ago and he was extraordinary. In a symposium filled with excellent speakers, some of whom I interviewed on Camera such as Lord Malcolm Pearson and many many others, David stood out even among them. There was a clear and unafraid lucidity about him. He was able to make the most complex issue comprehensible to all of us at least for those minutes he was speaking. Mr. Yerushlami is the man who managed to defeat the Dade County bus service when they refused the adds which allowed apostates of Islam a place to call if they wanted advice and defeated the New York City Bus Co. when they also refused adds for a similar reason. When David Y. Speaks, it is wise to listen carefully.

Fighting Shariah Through the Law: An Interview with David Yerushalmi, Esq.

Shariah, Islamic law, has become increasingly visible in the debates concerning possible Islamization in the West. It is at the core of opposition to and debate about expansion of mosques in this country. Shariah is a total system that governs every aspect of the life of a Muslim including fulfillment of jihad against non-believers, whether through da’wa, persuasion, or ultimately violence. Shariah is a political, legal, social and military system that threatens basic constitutional liberties and freedoms that we take for granted in America. The lure of multi-billion dollar transactions has created Shariah-compliant international corporate finance markets with active participation by major commercial and investment banks and financial rating organizations. Shariah advisers to these eager financial institutions are proponents of violent jihad and Islamic antisemitism. One egregious example is Pakistani Federal Sharia Court Judge and Hanafi Scholar, Mufti Muhammad Taqi Usmani, who advised Dow Jones on creation of its Islamic Market Index. Egyptian-born Islamic scholar, Yusuf Qaradawi used the term ‘financial jihad” to describe  Sharia-compliant finance (SCF).  As Andrew McCarthy noted in a National Review article, “American Taxpayer, Financial Jihadist”, what Qaradawi meant.

Because sharia bars interest (although it permits “profits” that Islamic authorities, in their infinite wisdom, deem reasonable), SCF requires that investments be constantly monitored and that any interest payments be purged. This is done by skimming off a percentage that is then channeled — at the direction of the advisory board — to an Islamic “charity”. Of course, as no one knows better than the Treasury Department, many such charities are merely fronts for the financing of terrorist organizations. This is not an accident. When Sheikh Qaradawi speaks of “financial jihad” as an Islamic obligation, he’s not kidding: In Islamist ideology, funding those who “fight in Allah’s cause” — e.g., Hamas — is one of the eight categories of permissible zakat, the Muslim obligation of almsgiving.
Shariah has entered our legal system through the backdoor of arbitration and mediation panels and even our court system.
One of the prominent opponents of Shariah in our legal system is David Yerushalmi, Esq., a New York and D.C.-based lawyer, litigator and developer of uniform laws aimed at curtailing and outlawing its spread. Yerushalmi designed and sponsored the Mapping Sharia Project whose findings revealed the extent of extremist Sharia compliance in a study of American mosques, soon to be published in a peer review professional journal. He has initiated ground breaking legal actions involving Sharia issues, advancing important federal cases, and has won cases in matters of free speech under the First Amendment. Among these are:
·        Murray v Paulson brought in the Federal District Court of the Eastern District of Michigan against the Treasury for using TARP monies in the bail out of insurance giant AIG which markets and sells takaful Shariah compliant insurance products. The case has advanced given the denial by the court of the federal government’s motion to dismiss. The court is now considering plaintiff’s motion for summary judgment asking the court to rule that the U.S. government willfully promoted Shariah in its drive to support AIG’s Shariah business.
·        A federal case brought by five former Muslim clients of the Council of American Islamic relations in the DC Federal District for fraud and racketeering in misrepresenting legal representation. The RICO charges were dismissed by the Court. However, the fraud charges have been upheld in a recent decision. Continue Reading →
