Two large scale terrorist attacks in two days, likely all Islamic: Egypt and Turkey

Today in Egypt, a large bomb went off near a Coptic cathedral. Surprisingly, the Washington Post, normally not prone to report Islamic discrimination against everyone else, actually gives a brief background on how they treat the Copts historically, with the report of the explosion. The Trump effect? An analysis would tell.

Tundra Tabloids has some content on the attack.

25 dead:

Major bomb blast outside soccer stadium in Turkey:

Bloodbath in Istanbul: Terrorists kill at least 38 and wound another 166 in machine gun and twin bomb attack on Turkish riot police outside major Istanbul soccer match

Twin blasts rocked Istanbul this evening, with a car bomb detonating at a football stadium as a suicide attacker struck at a nearby park, killing 38 people and injuring 166 more.

‘Two bombings may have taken place according to our understanding: one outside the stadium… the other at Macka Park,’ Turkey’s Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu said.

‘The explosion at Macka Park is believed to have been carried out by a suicide bomber,’ he added.

The Turkish government imposed a media ban in the wake of the blasts, citing ‘national security’ concerns.

Turkish site, Hurriyetdaily covers this attack, likely from the Islamic State, here.

(Apparently Kurds have taken responsibility for this attack)

A speech given by Osman Gökcek (Leader of the Turkish Youth Association ‘Tügef’)  in 2015, in the presence of the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The speech was given before the coming general elections.

Some notes from the translator:

In the speech the year 2023 is mentioned. This year has special meaning for the neo-Ottomans, because it is the 100-year anniversary of the end of the Ottoman empire.

US/NATO BASE SEALED OFF by Turkish forces

News Australia:

TURKEY has sent police to surround the Incirlik air base it operates with the United States — and where a large stockpile of NATO nuclear weapons is held — ahead of a visit by a senior US official tomorrow.

Unconfirmed reports out of Turkey suggest all entrances to the air base have been blocked by heavy vehicles and police sent to secure its peremiter.

The unusual nigh-time move sparked rumours of a second coup attempt on Turkish social media, with concerned citizens rushing to the air base to join the blockade.

The move comes less than a week after a top US Army general was accused by Turkish media of ‘leading’ the uprising against President Recep Tayyip Erdogan earlier this month.

Churches targeted in failed Turkey coup, more on Turkish purge

From Christian Radio:

Wed 20 Jul 2016

By Hannah Tooley

Churches have been targeted during the failed coup attempt in Turkey, reports suggest.

Upheaval began during the evening of Friday 15th July where an attempt to overthrow the government was made.

The Catholic church of Santa Maria was attacked in Trabzon on the Black Sea where paving stones were used to break windows and hammers were used to try and break into the church.

Middle East Concern has reported that Muslim neighbours stopped the attack and contacted the priest.

In another town Malatya, windows were broken in Malatya Protestant Church as well as the door.

Pastor Tim Stone said those with issues against the church are taking advantage of the unrest.

Edwin Jude adds the following report about Turkey:

My contacts in Turkey tell me that ISIS militants working for AKP are everywhere creating atmosphere of fear, rape and horror so the Turkish seculars would not protest on the streets.
Some of the alleged conspirators in the Turkish coup include Gen. Akin Ozturk, the air force commander, and Gen. Adem Huduti, head of Turkey’s Second Army, which is deployed along its borders with Syria, Iraq and Iran. Their commands are key to Turkey’s efforts in the conflict in neighboring Syria, which includes sorties against the Islamic State militant group as well as Kurdish militias on both sides of the border.  Its obvious that, Erdogan is not interested in cracking down the ISIS in Syria/Iraq.
The Turkish Special Police, JITEM is heavily infiltrated by Islamists loyal to Erdogan. (formerly infiltrated by Gulen) They are the ones who crushed the coup.

British PM May on the Turkish coup :

Turkey is out friend. Turkey is our Nato ally. It is a “priority market” for our arms exports – £550m worth.

Britain’s new prime minister has declared that this country “stands firmly in support of Turkey’s democratically elected government and institutions”.   But rather than condemning the mounting crackdown, Theresa May offered only a weak “call for the observance of Turkey’s constitutional order”, and stressed “the importance of the rule of law”.

A few thoughts on events of the past few days

So two major events have taken place. Nice, obviously, and the failed Turkish coup, probably engineered by Gulen and therefore the possible outcomes were all bad. Gullen would be every bit as bad as Erdogan except possibly Gulen is a better salesman of Islamic norms so would be more effective than the current Turkish despot at spreading the disease which is Islam.

Nice of course was a prelude to a teddy bear picnic. Here in Ottawa, the French embassy had the flags of France and Europe at half mast and a few bored looking overpaid members of the Ministry of Truth were hanging around looking for a photo op with the embassy talking head.

The CBC of course is sending out the message that the best thing about the Attack was Muslims and the real victims of this attack are Muslims and that the really sad thing is that Muslims aren’t fully accepted in France and we should use this attack in Nice to focus on ponying up more rights and freedoms and customs and culture to make France more like Saudi Arabia.

The response to massive Islamic terror is a formula now.

The response to a geopolitical event like a coup, always has been. Now there is a purge. Erdogan and his entitled followers will make the streets slick with the blood of the rebellious. Already a soldier was decapitated on a famous bridge in Ankara.

42 are reported dead already in the cleansing.

Here is an amazing story:

The US airbase in Turkey, the one that contains 80 Nuclear Weapons. How we come to know that would be interesting, I would think thats highly classified information but apparently it has 80 Nuclear Weapons, has been shut down by the Turks. The electricity was shut off and I believe there are access issues as well.

Makes one wonder…

Anyone ever see the movie, Octopussy? Its an older James Bond book come movie.

WARNING: SPOILER ALERT — SKIP NEXT BIT if you want to see it

The basic plot is that a rogue Russian General during the cold war, had an idea. If he could sneak a nuke that had a basic design similar to a US made nuke into a US airbase in Berlin and detonate it, the American and Western leftists would demand unilateral disarmament and then the Russians could roll a few hundred thousand tanks into West Europe and take over under their own nuclear umbrella.

Well what if the Western-left, notices 80 Nuclear Weapons in a US airbase in unstable, coup-riddled, Islamic motivated Turkey. How hard would it be to get Obama to move all those weapons far far away from the Russian border?

Just thinking out loud. After all, Obama only has a few months left of his super-mandate as he explained it to Putin’s assistant, Medvedev back in 2012.

Turkish coup might be a Fethullah Gülen production

Fethullah Gülen is a bit of a mysterious character. But from the little I know, he is every bit as much an Islamic infiltrator and subverter as is Erdogan, lives in the US, has deep roots in the US administration and I believe runs a series of schools in the US where kids are taken to Turkey on field trips where no parents are allowed, and given intensive courses on Islam.

Erdogan has had a personal vendetta against Gulen for some time now.

According to The Daily Beast:

Erdogan blamed the uprising on Fethullah Gulen, a retired Islamic cleric and former political ally, who once had a sizable following in the Turkish police, judiciary and military. Erdogan, who has purged the police and judiciary of reputed Gulen sympathizers over the past two years, had been due to hold a meeting of the body overseeing the military, the High Military Council, and there were reports he was planning oust anyone still linked with Gulen.

Gulen now lives in exile in Pennsylvania, and Erdogan has tried, thus far unsuccessfully, to obtain his extradition to face allegations of supporting terrorism.

More as it comes in.

Military coup in Turkey happening now

Daily Mail:

The Turkish military has announced it has taken control and overthrown the government of Recep Erdogan as troops round up police and attack the capital Ankara.

Eyewitnesses have reported attack helicopters firing machine guns in the capital Ankara in a bid to depose the Islamic government.

The military said they have taken control in order to protect human rights, however, prime minister Binali Yildirim said only a ‘faction’ was involved.

Fast attack jets and helicopters were heard above Ankara and Istanbul after the military confirmed they had seized control of the country,.

Istanbul’s Bosphorus Bridge and Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge were both closed after the military deployed roadblocks.

Tracer fire from Turkish military helicopters was spotted over Ankara.

Ahmed Tschatajew Islamic State Terrorist with asylum status: How he lived in Vienna

An original translation by Egri Nok:

From this German language news site

Kronen Zeitung, Austria

07/01/2016, 11:13

Mastermind of the Istanbul Jihad Attack Lived on the Dole in Vienna

Islamic State Terrorist with asylum status: How he lived in Vienna

The one-armed and one-legged IS terrorist Ahmed Tschatajew is considered one of the possible masterminds of the carnage at Istanbul airport. For eight years, the Chechen held asylum status and lived in a Viennese municipal housing — and was therefore entitled to social assistance, and from September 2010 on to guaranteed minimum income in the amount of €837.76 per month. Those eight years could have cost taxpayers more than €80,000.

No one in the Interior Ministry yet wants to officially confirm the terror connection to Austria: “We are in contact with the Turkish authorities; participation by the suspect Ahmed Tschatajew cannot be ruled out.” But unofficially, from investigators’ circles, there is already more to be known about the Chechen-born IS warlord: “It is quite conceivable that Tschatajew had something to do with the attack in Istanbul. However, it should be kept in mind that there could be political interests in Russia to name a Chechen as a mastermind behind the attack.” As reported, 41 people died in the terrorist drama in Turkey.

Tschatajew deemed “major player in IS”

Well informed sources in the Interior Ministry confirm to the Krone that it is certain that the one-armed and one-legged Chechen is currently not a rose breeder or geriatric nurse in Syria, “This man is a big shot in the Islamic State. It is quite possible that the Chechen is the mastermind of the terrorist attack — as in most of these cases, you never, or only months later receive confirmation. He is in any case a radical Islamist suspected of terrorism, and he therefore lost the right to asylum in Austria.”

No official denial: social assistance for the terrorists

For eight years — from 2003 to 2011 — Ahmed Tschatajew lived undisturbed in public housing in Vienna Mariahilf. And without a job, the Chechen with asylum status was entitled to receive social assistance, which was paid from 1 September 2010 as a minimum security.

A monthly support payment of  €837.76 would make €80,424.96 in eight years. However, there is no minimum security file under the name Ahmed Tschatajew at the City of Vienna, city hall insiders say. A Krone informant: “Ahmed Tschatajew could have used a false identity — he even had a false German name, because due to a Chechen feud he was under police protection temporarily.”

Ex-wife: “He had someone else in Syria”

On Friday morning, at a visit to the council flat of the terrorist, the Krone met the ex-wife of the IS leader; the woman with her five children still lives in Vienna. She said: “The divorce is through now, he had someone else in Syria.” The former wife had no idea about his work for the IS, “The last time Ahmed was in Vienna was three years ago.”
