Bit by bit, it’s getting worse.
In recent years, life in the city of Copenhagen has hardly been free of, shall we say, problems related to Islam. But for the most part, the worst of it has been confined to Muslim neighborhoods such as Nørrebro. And residents of Copenhagen have at least been able to console themselves that conditions in their city were nowhere near as bad as those right across the Øresund Bridge in the now notorious Swedish burg of Malmö
Well, as an editorial in Jyllands-Posten acknowledged last week, “conditions such as those in Malmö…are beginning to appear in Copenhagen.”
In a news story that appeared on the same day as the editorial, Jyllands-Posten reported the latest example of these “conditions”: both the Israeli ambassador to Denmark, Arthur Avnon, and the head of Copenhagen’s Jewish community are now advising Jews in that city to stop wearing yarmulkes and Stars of David and speaking Hebrew loudly in public – even in neighborhoods that they think of as “safe.” Asked about this advice, Police Commissioner Lars-Christian Borg told Jyllands-Posten that Jews – and gays, too – should stay away from parts of the city where there is a recognized “risk of clashes and harassment.” (Nice euphemism for “Muslim neighborhoods,” that.)

A gang of Arabs brutally attacked an American yeshiva student visiting with his family in Venice, Italy, in what local community leaders said was a rare instance of anti-Semitism.
The student was knocked unconscious on Tuesday when he strolled late at night in the center of the city. A band of 15 Arab youth pounced on him, dragged him into a dark corner and pummeled him, using sharp weapons.
The student lost consciousness, and the attackers fled when a passerby spotted them and called police and medics.
The police are investigating, but have but have not caught the attackers.

They used to say that rape was not about sex but was about control. Well sometimes that may be true and other times it is about sex.
This time, I would bet it was about raw hatred.

Police have arrested an Eritrean national on suspicion of brutally raping an 83-year-old woman near the old central bus station in southern Tel Aviv, it was cleared for publication Monday.
According to the suspicions, the man raped the elderly woman for hours in the backyard of her building.
The brutal rape was stopped only after the suspect spotted the woman’s relatives arriving to visit her and escaped. Since then, for 10 days, the police have been concealing the incident from the public.
The gag order over the investigation was removed on Monday morning, and the suspect is expected to be indicted later this week.

The incident took place on a Friday about 10 days ago. According to the investigation, the woman, who lives on her own, left her house at around 10 am. The suspect, who was lurking across the street, dragged her to the building’s yard and raped her for hours – while beating and threatening her.
The suspect, in his 20s, had no trouble gaining control of the weak old woman. Unfortunately, her cries for help were not heard by anyone, allowing the rapist to carry on for hours.
