INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE FOR FREE SPEECH & HUMAN RIGHTS

On 9 July 2012, at the European Parliament in Brussels, writers and representatives of human rights and civil liberties groups from eighteen countries held the first International Conference for Free Speech and Human Rights, sponsored by the International Civil Liberties Alliance. The countries represented were:

BRIEFING BY IDF FOREIGN PRESS BRANCH, LT.COL AVITAL LEIBOVICH ON THIS MORNING’S TERRORIST ATTACK ON EGYPTIAN BORDER

The TT was just in on a conference call with the IDF Head of the Foreign Press Branch, Lt. Col. Avital Leibovich, and with other bloggers and media, concerning today’s terrorist attack on civilian construction workers building the security fence on the Israeli-Egyptian border.

Hello, good afternoon. Here is the rundown on this morning’s attack. Everything is on the record, I’ll start with a short description. We are talking about number twelve, the Israeli road that’s part of the country. It happened 30 kilometers south of Gaza along side that road.

Two vehicles of construction workers driving along that road shortly after 6am. The area is also called ‘White River Lake’ 30 kilometers south of Gaza. Three terrorists crossed from the Egyptian side of the border into the Israeli side, waiting and hiding on the Israeli side.

They had activated an explosive device as well as an RPG, firing an RPG, as well as a Kalashnikov at those vehicles. The RPG did not hit the cars, however, the Kalashnikov fire and the explosives did hit one of the cars, caused one of the cars to flip over in a near by ditch resulting in the death of one of the construction workers.

A few minutes later one of infantry brigades arrived at the scene and there was an exchange of fire between the soldiers and the squad (of terrorists). There was a big explosion following the exchange of fire. The result of the explosion was two dead terrorists. We understand that one of the terrorists carried upon his body a very large amount of explosives, we have identified two of these terrorists.

We opened just a few minutes ago the road that was called ‘number twelve’ and notified the five communities that are near by who were instructed to stay within their homes for five hours. We ruled out the possibilty of a third terrorist on the Israeli side, that is why we opened up the roads and allowed the movement of the Israelis living there.

There are two things that are actually similar, another event that happened a bit further from there on the Israeli-Egyptian border last year in August. The first thing twas the gear that the terrorists carried upon them was of top quality. They had flack jackets, helmets, they had camouflaged uniforms with Kalashnikovs like I said.

The second thing is that there is a high probability that part of the squad (terrorists) was made on the Egyptian side. Very similar to the events that happened last August. I can also tell you that, ten minutes ago, a separate event, we noticed a separate squad of two terrorists, Beit Chanun area,  a part of Gaza and we targeted them.

Over all 280 rockets were fired from Gaza into Israel from the beginning of 2012, ten of them from this month.

Q & A

Q: There are rumours that the rockets fired from Gaza on Saturday were oredered by the Muslim Brotherhood. Anything to that?

A: Too early to reach any solid conclusions. There are numerous terror organizations in the Sinai and quite a few in Gaza as well. Presently we do not know who’s behind the launching of the two rockets on Saturday.

Q: Any idea as to who the terrorists belong to today?

A: I can tell you that we have informed intelligence to investigate any possible link to organizations inside Gaza. We don’t have a conformation at this point.

Q: Were these construction workers working on the fence between Israel and Egypt?

A: Yes 180 kilometers were complete from this portion. Actually the portion of fence where it happened had already been built there, but there were some areas that were still incomplete. I think that by the end of this year the rest of the 40 kilometers will be complete.

I can tell you for a fact that in those areas in which the fence is already up, the numbers of infiltrators actually went down.

Q: The particular group of workers, were they working on the fence?

A: They were on their way there in their vehicles to begin their days work on the fence.

Olympic terror attack that killed 11 Israeli athletes, according to a Der Spiegel magazine story on Sunday.

According to the online Spiegel report, police in the city of Dortmund sent a notice to the German domestic intelligence agency, Verfassungsschutz (BfV), in which “Saad Walli, an ‘Arab looking man’ met conspiratorially with the German neo-Nazi Willi Pohl.” The meeting took place roughly seven weeks before the 1972 terror attack in Munich.

Saad Walli was the cover name for Abu Daoud, who is widely believed to be the ringleader of the 1972 terror attack in Germany. Pohl bragged to his employer about his contact with the extremist PLO wing.

According to the BfV documents, there are no indications that the Dortmund police informed the various German authorities about Daoud. Spiegel wrote that it helps explain why the Palestinians were able to prepare their action in an unfettered way in the Federal Republic.

Pohl, the neo-Nazi, is now a crime fiction author and said, “I chauffeured Abu Daoud throughout the entire Federal Republic where he met in different cities with Palestinians.” Pohl helped Daoud obtain false passports and other documents, according to the report.

Spiegel added that Pohl has now “credibly distanced himself” and claims that he was involved without his knowledge in preparations for the 1972 Olympic terror attack. The BfV document contains 2,000 pages of material about the attacks.

It is unclear why the German domestic intelligence agency, state and federal police authorities failed to act on the information from the local Dortmund police. Critics have long accused the German authorities of a lax enforcement policy toward radical Islamic groups. The Iranian-backed Hezbollah, which has engaged in terror attacks in the Middle East and in South America, is a legal political organization in Germany, with an estimated 900 active members.

The Munich massacre of 1972 has long been considered the sole work of Palestinian terrorist group Black September, but new evidence has emerged suggesting the involvement of German neo-Nazis, Der Spiegel magazine reported on Sunday.

Historical documents released to the magazine by the German secret service show that Dortmund police had been aware of collaboration between Palestinian terrorist Abu Daud and neo-Nazi Willi Pohl seven weeks before the attack – yet did not intervene, wrote the paper.

According to the report, Dortmund police sent a letter to the Office for the Protection of the Constitution, Germany’s intelligence agency, in July 1972, raising suspicions about a meeting that had taken place between the Palestinian and the neo-Nazi, who had bragged to his employer about having contact to the radical wing of the Palestine Liberation Organisation (PLO).

Despite the strong evidence of terrorist activity against him – including being in possession of a letter written by the Black September group – Pohl was given a light sentence of just two years and two months in 1974. Four days after being sentenced, he made his escape to Beirut, Lebanon.

An Indonesian man was jailed for 30 months after writing “God doesn’t exist” on his Facebook page.

Alexander Aan, 30, was imprisoned on Thursday for sharing explicit material about the Prophet Mohammed online.

He started an atheist group on Facebook on which he shared comic strips of the prophet having sex with his servant, a court in western Sumatra heard today.

Saudi ‘Got Talent,’ but no women or music

A Saudi city has created its own version of the “Arabs Got Talent” television reality show, but with no music and women banned from taking part.

Instead, competitors will be permitted to perform religious chants, recite poems and engage in sports events.

The contest is being held north of the capital in the city of Buraydah, known as a centre for Wahhabism, a strict interpretation of Islam that is followed in the desert kingdom, Al-Hayat daily reported on Sunday.

The overwhelming effect of the international campaign of defamation and delegitimization of Israel does not easily allow identifying where the blows come from, nor its original source. Yet the operations and strategic center of this widespread war that seeks to replace Jerusalem with al-Quds is the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC, formally called Islamic Conference), which brings together Muslim countries and those with a Muslim majority.

Created in 1969, this gigantic multinational religious organization declares that it is rooted in the Koran and Sunna. It includes a large number of subsidiary committees as well as various organizations embracing theological, legal, and political sectors. Since 2000, the OIC stated in many documents that its mission is to speak for the Ummah, the worldwide Muslim community, which also includes those Muslims who emigrated to the West. It claims to be their protector, with a particular responsibility toward those living in Europe, since they are exposed to the immoral customs and ideas of non-Muslims.

The OIC constantly castigates these customs and ideas as “Islamophobia,” making every effort to have it penalized in the international courts and by European governments. Countless international networks of multiculturalism, pro-immigration, and anti-Zionism, financed by European governments and the European Union, are totally devoted to it and act as its sounding board within Western societies.

Those promoting the line blaming the West and the victimization of the Palestinians feed from its sap. In Europe its lobbies spread its arguments, and benefit in the universities and at the international level from maximum media exposure as they operate with the tacit approval of European governments and churches, which provide them with unofficial, opaque financing.1 This Euro-OIC cooperation takes place through countless dialogue networks, partnerships, and associations that preach diversity and multiculturalism and that generally invoke the noble motives of “peace, justice and human rights.” Drawn from human rights platitudes, these ideals incorporate the principles of Jihad and dhimmitude, imperceptible for a European public unaware of them.

The subversion of the language and the twisting of its meaning are particularly apparent in the OIC’s declarations. For example, the foreign ministers of the member states of the OIC, meeting in New York in September 2008, reiterated in their final communiqué “their commitment to the noble principles of peace, humanism and tolerance” to democracy and transparency, while most of their governments are among the cruelest and most corrupt dictatorships. They declared that the challenges of the 21st century required the solidarity of the OIC member states, rallying round the values of Islam.2 Yet, no country that applies shari’a applies democracy and religious freedom as understood in the West. Less than three years later, the Arab masses were rising against the repression of the regimes represented by those same ministers, whose empty speeches slip into readymade phrases to seduce Western leaders.

BELGIUM: VEILED WOMAN BEING DETAINED BY POLICE, HEAD BUTTS COP BREAKS HIS NOSE

Police station surrounded

News of the incident spread quickly and soon the police station was surrounded by around 100 youths.

The Brussels West Police Services called in re-enforcements from the Federal Police and other Brussels police forces to contain the situation.

Nevertheless, several windows were smashed and bus-shelters damaged by the youths.

Six people were detained. The Mayor of Molenbeek Philippe Moureaux (Francophone socialist, photo) went to the scene to try and help diffuse the situation.

By 9:30 pm calm had returned to the vicinity of the police station.

Saudis Demand Punishment for McDonald’s Toy They Say “Insults Muhammed”

According to the Saudis, the designs that appear all around the base, where the figure stomps its foot, is really the name “Muhammed” written several times in circles.

Saudi Arabians are angry at a McDonald’s toy which they say mocks their prophet Muhammad. According to a report appearing today (5/27/12) on the Arabic news website, Kermalkom.com, the McDonald’s fast food restaurant “abused the Prophet Muhammad by placing his name at the base of a toy that is being distributed as part of the Happy Meal, a toy which steps on the name ‘Muhammad.'”

The toy consists of a blue superhero figurine (apparently a Power Ranger Samurai; click here for pictures). It stands on one leg, and, when the lever is pressed, it pounds on the base with the other leg. According to the Saudis, the designs that appear all around the base, where the figurine stomps its foot, is really the name “Muhammad” written several times in circles.

Terrorists Plant Explosive Device On UN Monitors Vehicle And Film It For Propanganda As A Government Missile Attack-

LIVELEAK: Members of the ‘Free Syrian Army’ crowd around the bonnet UN monitor vehicle, and an explosive device is planted on the bonnet and explodes. The event is captured on camera by an operative placed a safe distance away in the area of Khan Sheikhun, Idlib province. No one was hurt by the explosion.

The terrorists claim that this was a missile attack by the Syrian army on the UN convoy. The videos clearly contradict the blatant lie. The second video is damning and shows damage which is not due to a missile landing on the car. The bonnet has been blown open and is uncharred, while the explosion came from lower down. Had this been a missile from the Syrian army, there would also have been scores of dead from the explosion as many people were around the car. Rather, the crowd was used as cover for the emplacement of the device.

The Suicide Bomber Auction, Saudia Arabia

LIVELEAK: An unbelievable leaked video of an auction for a suicide bomber against Syria. This takes place in a hotel conference room in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The atmosphere is festive, and the audience has children in it. But the merchandise auctioned is human flesh and blood!

The video shows the father, Abu-Salah, attending the auction and offering his son Khaled as a sacrifice (2nd son to “sacrifice” his life) .The father receives 1.5 million Riyals ($400,000) as future compensation for his son’s demise in Syria. At one point in the video, the father is elated at the high bids.

[UPDATE] I was concerned, as this is so awful, that this might not be as advertised. Translating Jihad was kind enough to look it over and yes, the titles are an accurate reflection of what is being said here.

ABBAS SAYS J’LEM ONLY HAS ISLAMIC AND CHRISTIAN HISTORY……..

Now that’s called anti-Semitism. 

Jews living in Judah, Samaria and in J’Lem, (48′ war of Independence Jews were driven out of E.J’lem) wanting to live as Jews, is considered “Judaization” of these ancient Jewish areas, while mass numbers of Muslims moving into traditional Christian Europe and demanding non-Muslim compliance to Islamic norms…is supposedly not Islamization.

Those of us however, who bring attention to what’s going on, and reject to what’s happening to their civil liberties and rights in the liberal West, are the new ‘bigots’. See how that works folks? Anywhere else Europeans moved to non European countries and imported their unique ideals that stemmed from the enlightenment, it was later deemed as colonialist imperialism and considered evil.

Here the same is happening inside Europe in the 21st century, and it’s called “multiculturalism”, and it’s all good!

PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas and the Palestinian Authority continue to deny Israel’s 3,000 years of history in Jerusalem, claiming it is solely an Arab, Muslim and Christian city. Earlier this month, Abbas referred to Israel’s presence and activities in Jerusalem as “Judaization” and stated that Israel is stealing what he called the “cultural, human, and Islamic-Christian religious history.”

Last month, Abbas’ advisor for Jerusalem said that Israel is trying:

“to create an artificial heritage with a Jewish spirit at the expense of its true and authentic [identity] as an Arab, Islamic and Christian city.”

This is not the first time that Abbas has denied Jewish history in Jerusalem and claimed the city for Islam alone. Palestinian Media Watch has reported that Mahmoud Abbas said that taking Jerusalem from Israel is a religious Islamic obligation of the highest level, a “fard ayn” – a personal Islamic commandment incumbent on every Muslim:

“I say to the leaders of our Arab nation and to its peoples: Jerusalem and its environs are a trust that Allah entrusted to us. Saving it [Jerusalem] from the settlement monster and the danger of Judaization and [land] confiscation is a personal [Islamic] commandment [Arabic: fard ayn] incumbent on all of us. Therefore, I call all of you to serious and urgent action to save [Jerusalem] and to make available all possibilities in order to strengthen our resolve and to maintain its historical, cultural and religious character.”

On National Liberation Day, Muslims ask for Release of Murderer

On National Liberation Day, 4 May, twenty radical Muslims of the Sharia4Belgium group demonstrated before the high security prison in Vught. They asked for the liberation of Mohammed Bouyeri, who was sentenced to life in prison for the cruel murder of mediamaker Theo van Gogh in 2004. They said that the Dutch were feasting while many innocent “brothers” are in jail. At the end of last year, the same group disrupted a debate about the modernization of Islam in Amsterdam.
