UPDATE: Truck Driver Terrorist Identified As 29-Year-Old Sayfullo Saipov

Several officials have identified the New York City truck attacker who killed eight people and injured others as 29-year-old Sayfullo Saipov from Tampa, Fla.

Although New York officials during Tuesday’s official press conference declined to list any details about the suspect other than the fact that he is a 29-year-old male and not from New York, several officials told ABC News that the suspect is Saipov from Florida.

CBS News also confirmed that the attacker’s full name is Sayfullo Habibullaevic Saipov.

A gunman opened fire from a Home Depot truck that apparently plowed down four riders on a bike path Tuesday off the Hudson River in Lower Manhattan, eyewitnesses said.

 

The NYPD reported one man was in custody after initial reports of gunfire set off a mad scramble in the downtown area.

 

Witnesses reported seeing a gunman firing from inside a Home Depot tuck, and video showed a truck from the home improvement store sitting on a median.

“He shot about 15 times toward the pier and down West St.” one witness told the Daily News. There was no immediate word on deaths or injuries, although witnesses said two bodies were covered with blankets at the scene.

NEW YORK (AP) — Police and witnesses say a motorist drove onto a busy bicycle path near the World Trade Center memorial and struck several people, then emerged from the vehicle screaming and firing something that appeared to be a gun.

An Associated Press photographer on the scene Tuesday witnessed at least two bodies lying motionless on the path beneath tarps.

Officials also believe Paddock may not have acted alone.

Sheriff Joseph Lombardo said: “At face value he had to have some help at some point and we want to ensure that that’s the answer.

 

“Maybe he was a superhuman who figured this out all on his own but it would be hard for me to believe that.”

Police confirmed the shooter “meticulously” planned his strike on the Route 91 Harvest Festival from his vantage points in the Mandalay Hotel.

 

Officers, who are investigating the double life of the cold-blooded killer, believe he spent decades acquiring weapons and living a “secret life”.

Police also told a news conference that 317 of the 489 people injured in the Las Vegas shooting have been discharged from hospitals.

(It seems increasingly mainstream news sources and confirming that this was not an act of  nuttery by someone who had fantasies of reading his Guinness Book entry from beyond the grave.)

As everyone knows, there was/is a horrifying large scale mass shooting and mass casualty event. The last solid number I saw, was rounder off. 50 dead and 200 injured, Which likely means more.

I know less than the comments do at this point. But there are quite a few of those. Please check them at the most recent Reader’s Links post, for today, which was late, and Oct. 1. and now Oct. 2 is up, so please populate that one with new info.

Thank you and please try not to be overwhelmed with the horror. Just find a small problem you can do something about, and do that.

Charlottesville. Something doesn’t seem “right”

It would be great to let this Charlottesville issue die. But it cannot as it looks more and more like a variation on a false flag op. Perhaps we can call it, “A new flag” operation? Since all the “Nazis” on scene seemed to have brand new nazi flags still with fold marks looking fresh out of the package?

The guy does not appear to have any friends, the only person I see him with in several pictures, is the short middle-aged female with the also, brand-new Confederate flag. Bob Creamer’s DNC-funded group comes to mind, as in hiring mentally-impaired folks for agitprop purposes.
I consistently hear C-ville called a “Neo-Nazi rally,” but the only Nazi flag I see is this one single example. This will set a world record for propaganda leverage if one $20 Nazi flag was used to characterize C-ville as a Nazi rally. 
Surely SOMEBODY who attended the rally knows who this guy is? And if they don’t, that to me is evidence that he was a plant. What a story if it’s true. A world record for propaganda leverage effects.
