Two brothers groomed a pair of teenage girls before pimping them out to workers at a curry house for £150 a time after hours sex sessions, a court heard.

Mubarek Ali, 29, and younger brother Ahdel Ali, 24, were paid for ferrying the girls, aged 15 and 16, to a restaurant.

The siblings face a total of 26 charges including controlling child prostitution, people trafficking and sexual exploitation.

Action to tackle child sexual exploitation will be announced this week after No?10 was shocked by ‘heartbreaking’ stories of abuse.

The move follows the conviction of nine Asian men for systematically raping and abusing underage girls in Rochdale, Greater Manchester, and claims by a Government expert that abuse was taking place ‘all over the country’.

On Tuesday, Ministers will launch an urgent review of the quality of care provided in children’s homes – which were at the heart of the Rochdale scandal –  and publish a progress report on an ‘action plan’ designed to tackle child exploitation.

In May, nine men were jailed for a total of 77 years after a court heard that they had plied girls as young as 13 with drink and drugs before carrying out acts of abuse.

Many of the girls, who all came from deprived family backgrounds, had been in the care of the local authority.

They stood on the fringes, content to observe. But as the night wore on and the intensity of the protest increased, the white men grew more raucous and aggressive.

What was remarkable about their presence was that they were members of the far-Right English Defence League.

They had turned up to express support for their Sikh ‘brothers’ who were angry at the way detectives had handled an allegation that a young Sikh woman had been sexually assaulted by a Muslim man.

The EDL makes no secret that it loathes Islamism, but stresses that, unlike the British National Party, it embraces all other creeds.

That said, when EDL supporters have taken to the streets in the past they have done so with St George’s flags and banners bearing inflammatory slogans.

In Luton all 12 men, including EDL leader Tommy Robinson and his right-hand man Kevin Carroll, wore a rumal, the traditional Sikh headscarf.

That night – May 29 – racial tensions had risen in the multicultural  town and this time it was Luton’s usually equable Sikh community that was angry.

The ringleader of a gang of Asian men who groomed young white girls for sex can finally be unmasked after he was found guilty of 30 child rape charges.

Shabir Ahmed, 59, led a child sex exploitation ring of nine men who targeted vulnerable young girls in the Rochdale and Oldham areas of Greater Manchester.

He was jailed for 19 years last month following an 11-week trial at Liverpool Crown Court.

But Ahmed – known to his victims by the nickname ‘Daddy’ – could not be named as he was awaiting trial on separate child rape charges.

Today he was convicted of 30 charges of rape by a jury at Manchester Crown Court and Judge Mushtaq Khokhar lifted reporting restrictions, which means he can be identified for the first time.

The court heard that he raped and sexually abused a young Asian girl over many years.

He treated her as a ‘possession’ which he used for his own sexual gratification, the court was told.

Ahmed, formerly of Oldham, wearing a black Lonsdale tracksuit top, smirked as the jury returned the unanimous verdicts.

Judge Gerald Clifton, who sentenced Ahmed in Liverpool, said the gang treated their victims ‘as though they were worthless and beyond any respect’.

Telford brothers ‘forced girls into prostitution’

Four teenage girls were sexually abused and forced into prostitution by two Shropshire brothers, a court has heard.

The jury was told the youngest girl, 13, was raped, and another was repeatedly sold as a prostitute, sometimes to four men at a time.

Ahdel Ali, 24, and Mubarek Ali, 29, both of Regent Street, Wellington deny a total of 26 charges.

The offences are alleged to have taken place from March 2008 to December 2009.

Opening the case for the prosecution at Stafford Crown Court, Deborah Gould said the four alleged victims, all from the Telford area, suffered from “an extraordinary lack of self-esteem”.

‘Forbidden fruits’

“The defendants recognised they had power over the girls they abused because the girls lacked self-esteem, self-respect and self confidence. They were easy prey,” she told the jury.

“Both were older than the girls and had the use of cars and money and gave the girls access to forbidden fruits – drink, drugs and sex.”

Ms Gould told the court the brothers used gifts, attention and pressure to persuade two of the girls to have sex with other men.

Ahdel Ali denies one count of rape, 11 charges of sexual activity with a child, three charges of controlling child prostitution, two of inciting child prostitution, an allegation of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity and meeting a child after grooming.

Mubarek Ali has pleaded not guilty to four charges of controlling child prostitution, two of trafficking in the UK for sexual exploitation and a charge of causing child prostitution.

The trial is expected to last two months.

While this article may not say much, I have recently spoken with the mother of a girl attending an Ottawa Public school, and it would appear that while the news cannot legally report on the identities of the perpetrators, the people who have children at these schools and know about it are certainly free to talk about it, and this forced prostitution ring being broken up in Ottawa has more in common with the European, and notably English ones, than merely forcing underage girls into sexual slavery.

The 16-year-old girl, who is alleged to have pimped out other young girls for sex, was arrested Thursday night in Gatineau.

She is believed to be the last suspect Ottawa police were looking for in connection with a teenage prostitution ring.

“We’ve had information coming in,” said Ottawa police Staff Sgt. John McGetrick, of the sex assault unit. “It all came together (Thursday) night.”

Two 15-year-old girls, who face human trafficking and other charges, were arrested over the weekend.

The 16-year-old girl — who police had earlier said was 17 years old — had been on the lam since then.

Police were tight-lipped about the details, but said she was arrested at about 8 p.m. in Gatineau and was later returned to Ottawa.

“We had some information she was over there,” said McGetrick. “It’s one step out of the way, but in a major cases a lot of work starts after the arrest.”

Police said they do not believe any other suspects were involved. Nor have any additional victims come forward, but anyone with information is encouraged to contact Ottawa cops.

She is accused of eight charges related to one teen girl in incidents on May 30. The charges include to “recruit, transport and hold” a person under 18 for exploitation, procuring the same teen girl to become a prostitute and confining, robbing, assaulting and threatening the girl.

She’s also charged with breaching recognizance, including a curfew.

The young woman, wearing glasses with thick, square frames and an oversized hoodie, her hair scraped into a ponytail, made a brief court appearance Friday.

She’ll be back in court by video link Wednesday.

She indicated to her lawyer that she understood what was being said in English and that she understood an order not to communicate with a long list of people, including two 15-year-olds facing similar charges and the alleged victims in the case.

One 15-year-old will appear in court Monday, the second on Tuesday.

Lawyer Nicholas St. Pierre, who said he’s represented the girl before, but wouldn’t give other details, said the girl is under a lot of pressure.

“She understands fully the importance of those charges and that’s why it’s been so rough on her,” St. Pierre said.

“She fully understands them and she is, to use the word, shocked by the allegations that she is facing. She’s doing her best in coping with the media attention that she’s getting from these charges. Obviously, she’s been detained at the moment so therefore it’s hard on her.”

St. Pierre said he’s awaiting disclosure of the evidence against his client before he can schedule any bid for bail.

Police on Friday also said they have yet to arrest any johns in connection with this case.

Neighbours described the girls, one of whom is a high school drop-out, as troublesome. The teens apparently threw parties, luring girls via social media to a Walkley Rd. home three times between mid-May and early June. Police said victims were threatened into prostitution, and were also taken to various locations.

“You see these girls walking with a stack of $100 bills in their hands,” a neighbour told the Sun.

The identities of all three girls are protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

      • A 14-year-old girl was repeatedly raped at a drug den by a gang of men who treated her with ‘indignity and contempt’, a jury has heard.

    The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was taken to the house in Brierfield, Lancashire, and allegedly passed around for their sexual gratification.

    The ‘principal defendant’, Mohammed Imran Amjad, 25, bore the ‘greatest responsibility for the corruption and abuse of the victim in this case’, said the Crown Prosecution Service.

The sexual exploitation and grooming of young vulnerable white girls is a ‘particular problem in Asian communities’, one of Britain’s top prosecutors admitted for the first time today.

In a year when several paedophile gangs were convicted of raping and prostituting victims in north west England, Nazir Afzal says it is impossible not to notice ‘that the perpetrators were Asian and the victims were not.’

The Chief Crown Prosecutor for the region added that ‘cultural baggage and the status of women among some men in these communities contributes to their disrespect for the rights of women.’

It was claimed last month that fears they would be branded racist meant that police and social services left one group free to rape up to 50 white girls, and Mr Afzal said today he would not ‘turn a blind eye.’

It came as the Commons Home Affairs Select Committee announced yesterday a day of evidence next week because its members and  chairman Keith Vaz are ‘very concerned by the recent cases of child exploitation.’

The Labour MP for Leicester East has previously said: ‘I do not think it is a race issue.’

In these disturbing recent cases most victims were white, aged between 13 and 16, many were from vulnerable backgrounds or the care system, and the majority were plied with booze and drugs before being systematically abused.

Speaking to The Times today Mr Afzal said: ‘Exploitation happens in every community but these cases demonstrate that group grooming is a particular problem in Asian community. I will not turn a blind eye to crimes in any community.’

 

He spoke out as two Asian men, Mahfuzur Rahman and Abdul Hannan, were convicted of raping or sexually assaulting four young white women in their area after they picked them up and got them drunk.

In an originally botched prosecution in 2009, victims gave detailed evidence about being violently raped by Rahman before charges were dropped because evidence was said to lack credibility.

Once the case was abandoned, Rahman was free to target a 17-year-old from a nearby children’s home, plying her with vodka before sexually assaulting her at his flat.

His other victims were also violently raped or assaulted while very drunk.

Social workers knew for six years that a teenage mother, murdered for bringing shame on the families of two Pakistani men who had used her for sex, was at clear risk from predatory Asian gangs.

Laura Wilson, 17, from Rotherham had been groomed by a string of British Pakistanis before she was stabbed and thrown into a canal to die for informing her abusers’ families of the sexual relationships.

Her killer Ashtiaq Asghar, who was 18 at the time, was given a life sentence and will serve a minimum of 17-and-a-half years after he pleaded guilty to murdering Laura in October 2010.

But it has now emerged that Rotherham County Council’s social services were well aware she was at risk and had received information about certain adults suspected of targeting her from the age of 11.

Last week the council’s Safeguarding Children Board published a serious case review but key passages which reveal they knew she was at particular risk from Asian men had been blocked out with black lines.

 

The council went to court in an attempt to tried to suppress the hidden information after a uncensored copy of the report was leaked to the Times newspaper but they have now abandoned legal action.

The uncensored report confirms that Laura, identified as Child S, had dealings with 15 agencies and identified ‘numerous missed opportunities’ to protect her.

It states that she eventually became ‘almost invisible’ to care professionals.

LAHORE: Police investigators in Narowal are siding with men accused of gang-raping a 13-year-old Christian girl and then torturing her family and killing her two unborn cousins, say the girl’s family.

Though FIRs of both incidents have been registered, the police have already declared one of the three accused, a retired inspector’s son, innocent in the rape case. In the case for causing two stillbirths, the police are not arresting the accused even though a judge cancelled their interim bails.

The rape victim, a student of class six, told Civil Judge Mansoor Ahmed Warraich that Irfan, his employee Shahid and an unidentified man had kidnapped her as she walked past Irfan’s house on March 29. She said they drugged her, took her to the fields and raped her. She said she had been unable to cry out as her attackers stuffed some cloth in her mouth. She said that she woke up the next morning still in the fields, roused by family members who had been looking for her since she went missing. She said she had not gone to school since the day of the incident and never wanted to return.

Parveen Bibi, the family matriarch, told The Express Tribune that they had tried to lodge a case first at Domal police chowki, then Saddar police station, Narowal, but the police refused to register an FIR and instead urged the family to reach a settlement with the accused. They refused, and around 10 days later an FIR under Section 376 (rape) of the Pakistan Penal Code was finally registered at the police station.

A medical examination of the victim was conducted and established that she had been raped.

LUTON, UK (KP) –  On Tuesday evening, hundreds of Sikh protesters rallied together and protested outside Luton Police Station after a Punjabi female teenager was allegedly sexually assaulted by a 19-year-old Pakistani male on Monday night.

The Sikh community strongly believes that this attack was racially motivated, and is one of the many and growing body of evidences of activity within the Muslim community, however, small or isolated, which preys upon vulnerable Sikh females in an organised way and actively encourages this.  The attacker was identified as Anan Majid Basharat a local youth from the Luton neighborhood.

According to locals, the girl had been groomed and manipulated for sometime before the sexual attack. Both the victim and accused were students of Icknield High School, which is dominated with a Muslim majority. According to sources, the family had been to the police a numerous number of times in regards to the manipulation and grooming tactics being used by radical Islamists, however Bedfordshire Police force failed to take any action and failed to realize the historically linked hate crime.

News is breaking of a Sikh protest in Luton, apparently prompted by the release of a man accused of sexually assaulting a Sikh girl. Given that Stephen Lennon of the EDL has stated that they will be joining the protest, the assumption must be that the alleged perpetrator of the assault was from a Muslim background. Some 250 Sikhs are reported as having gathered to protest outside of Luton Police Station. One Tweet also claims that some roads in the town have also been blocked off as a consequence. According to a brief report on the East Anglia EDL Division page, the man charged with the assault is of Pakistani origin. A report on a Sikh forum claims that the girl was dragged into some woodland and raped. The BBC reports that the alleged assault took place on Monday, and that a sit-down protest is taking place outside of Luton’s Buxton Road police station. Although it mentioned “members of the Sikh community”, the report contained no reference to the EDL.
