The character of the city of Rutland, Vermont is facing major change. Nestled in the beautiful Green Mountains of Vermont, it is an unsuspecting city targeted for refugee resettlement. After being kept in the dark since their mayor’s unilateral decision to accept 100 Syrian and Iraqi refugees in October, Rutland citizens should investigate the threatening impact that refugee resettlement has on their own public security, economic stability and community health before it’s too late.

The city of Rutland was chosen as the site to place refugees by the U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants (USCRI), one of the nine major federally-funded refugee resettlement contractors or voluntary agencies (volags), and its local affiliated field office or subcontractor, the Vermont Refugee Resettlement Program (VRRP). According to Ann Corcoran of Refugee Resettlement Watch, once a site is chosen for resettlement, the agency submits an annual resettlement plan to the State Department in order to receive federal funding of nearly $2,000 per refugee sponsored in addition to federal grants of up to $2,200 per refugee sponsored. Refugee resettlement has become a billion dollar industry, according to investigative journalist James Simpson, a former economist and budget examiner for the White House Office of Management and Budget.

Amid the chaos of the 2009 holiday travel season, jihadists planned to slaughter 290 innocent travelers on a Christmas Day flight from the Netherlands to Detroit, Michigan. Twenty-three-year old Nigerian Muslim Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab intended to detonate Northwest Airlines Flight 253, but the explosives in his underwear malfunctioned and brave passengers subdued him until he could be arrested. The graphic and traumatic defeat they planned for the United States failed, that time.
Following the attempted attack, President Obama threw the intelligence community under the bus for its failure to “connect the dots.” He said, “this was not a failure to collect intelligence, it was a failure to integrate and understand the intelligence that we already had.”
Most Americans were unaware of the enormous damage to morale at the Department of Homeland Security, where I worked, his condemnation caused. His words infuriated many of us because we knew his administration had been engaged in a bureaucratic effort to destroy the raw material—the actual intelligence we had collected for years, and erase those dots. The dots constitute the intelligence needed to keep Americans safe, and the Obama administration was ordering they be wiped away.
After leaving my 15 year career at DHS, I can no longer be silent about the dangerous state of America’s counter-terror strategy, our leaders’ willingness to compromise the security of citizens for the ideological rigidity of political correctness—and, consequently, our vulnerability to devastating, mass-casualty attack.

A dozen raids in Syria. About six raids a day in Iraq. These are the numbers of French military involvement against the Islamic State.
“Much ado political and media, but in the end it is doing little,” wrote the French journalist Jean Dominique Merchet the pages of the Opinion in the last days of 2015.
“The French air force – continues Merchet, reporting the words of General Pierre de Villiers, Chief of Transalpine – led, in the last three months, a dozen raids in Syria.” The raids against the Islamic State commenced on 27 September after a series of reconnaissance flights started on 8 September.
Since the attacks that rocked Paris on November 13th, the attacks against targets of the Islamic state in Syria, have been only five. “To respond to attacks in Paris, the Pentagon has allowed the French airforce to conduct three French raid,” says journalist of the Opinion. The objectives were the command centers, training, recruitment and logistics depots in Raqqah, the capital of the cutthroats of the Caliph. “This fire of retaliation lasted three days, 15 to 17 November, followed by a new raid against similar targets on 23 November.” In December, however, there were two other attacks carried out by the French, one on 5:01 on December 9. But this time the target changed. “For example bombing oil installations”.
None of the French military operations in Syria has been in support of the fighting on the ground. In Iraq, however, the transalpine aviation would lead – from 27 September to 23 December 2015 – about six raids per day, also supporting the ground forces of the regular army and Peshmerga. By comparison, writes Merchet, “in Belgrade in 1999, the French military carried out 52 operations a day, an effort almost nine times higher than at present.”
“To war” , Hollande announced immediately after the attacks in Paris. But these numbers really make you think.
DHS Whistleblower Philip Haney in Open Letter to Congress: No Confidence in Administration’s Vetting Process

WASHINGTON (Dec. 16, 2015): Today, 13-year Department of Homeland Security veteran, Philip Haney, released an open letter to Members of Congress, writing that he, “no longer [has] the confidence this administration can adequately vet or screen refugees or immigrants from Islamic countries.” (full text below)
Since becoming a whistleblower, Haney has met repeatedly with Members of Congress and their staffs in closed-door sessions, warning them of both the inadequacies of the Obama administration’s screening processes and the shut down of his investigation into extremist groups tied to both perpetrators of the San Bernardino terrorist attack.

His responsibilities included in-depth research into individuals and organizations with potential links to terrorism. After almost a year of research and tracking the Deobandi movement, Department of Homeland Security stopped the investigation, at the request of the Department of State and its own Civil Rights Civil Liberties Division, claiming that tracking individuals related to these groups was a violation of the travellers’ civil liberties. In the aftermath of the most devastating and lethal jihadist attack in the United States since 9/11, Americans are rightly angry their government will not face the problem of Islamic terrorism honestly. I know this first-hand.
During my 13 years at the Department of Homeland Security, I worked tirelessly to identify and prevent terrorism in the United States. As a recognized “founding member” of DHS, it was among my responsibilities to raise concern, not only about the individuals primed for imminent attack, but about the networks and ideological support that makes those terrorist attacks possible.
I investigated numerous groups such as the Deobandi Movement, Tablighi Jamaat, and al-Huda as their members traveled into and out of the United States in the course of my work. Many were traveling on the visa waiver program, which minimizes the checks and balances due to agreements with the countries involved. But the scrutiny we were authorized to apply was having results. This investigation could possibly have prevented the San Bernardino jihadist attack by identifying its perpetrators, Syed Farook and Tashfeen Malik, based on their associations with these groups.
Almost a year into this investigation, it was halted by the State Department and the DHS Office of Civil Rights and Civil Liberties. They not only stopped us from connecting more dots, the records of our targets were deleted from the shared DHS database. The combination of Farook’s involvement with the Dar Al Uloom Al Islamiyah Mosque and Malik’s attendance at al-Huda would have indicated, at minimum, an urgent need for comprehensive screening. Instead, Malik was able to avoid serious vetting upon entering the United States on a fiancé visa—and more than a dozen Americans are dead as a result.
The investigation was not stopped because it was ineffective, it was stopped because the Administration told us the civil rights of the foreign nationals we were investigating could be violated. When did foreign nationals gain civil rights in the United States, especially when they are associated with groups we already know are involved in terrorist activity? Based on what I have seen in the Department of Homeland Security, I no longer have the confidence this administration can adequately vet or screen refugees or immigrants from Islamic countries.
I took my story to the American people last week. Remarkably this week, DHS’ former acting under-secretary for intelligence and analysis, John Cohen, told ABC News that under the direction of DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson, potential immigrants’ social media activity was off-limits to those responsible for screening.
Just as they did when they halted my investigation in 2012—which could have provided key intelligence and potentially saved over a dozen lives—DHS described a potential “civil liberties backlash” if the law enforcement officials tasked with keeping our country secure did the most basic checks on potential travelers, immigrants and refugees. Parents checking on someone their child may be dating look at social media, but our law enforcement officials can’t?
This administration has a deadly blind spot when it comes to Islamic terrorism. It is not willing to allow proper vetting and screening of refugees or immigrants from Islamic countries; Congress must take action to defend the security of the American people.
I understand the desire to welcome as many immigrants and refugees as possible, especially those fleeing dangerous conflict zones. However, this administration has handcuffed law enforcement officials tasked with vetting these individuals appropriately and that places the American people in danger.

Loretta Lynch Vows to Prosecute Those Who Use ‘Anti-Muslim’ Speech That ‘Edges Toward Violence’
The day after a horrific shooting spree by a “radicalized” Muslim man and his partner in San Bernardino, California, Attorney General Loretta Lynch pledged to a group of Muslim activists that she would take aggressive action against anyone who used “anti-Muslim rhetoric” that “edges toward violence.”
Speaking to the audience at the Muslim Advocate’s 10th anniversary dinner Thursday, Lynch said her “greatest fear” is the “incredibly disturbing rise of anti-Muslim rhetoric” in America and vowed to prosecute any guilty of what she deemed violence-inspiring speech. She said:
The fear that you have just mentioned is in fact my greatest fear as a prosecutor, as someone who is sworn to the protection of all of the American people, which is that the rhetoric will be accompanied by acts of violence. My message to not just the Muslim community but to the entire American community is: we cannot give in to the fear that these backlashes are really based on.
Assuring the pro-Muslim group that “we stand with you,” Lynch said she would use her Justice Department to protect Muslims from “violence” and discrimination.
Claiming that violence against Muslims is on the rise and citing France’s clamp down on potentially radicalized mosques, Lynch suggested the Constitution does not protect “actions predicated on violent talk” and pledged to prosecute those responsible for such actions.
“When we talk about the First Amendment we [must] make it clear that actions predicated on violent talk are not American,” said Lynch. “They are not who we are, they are not what we do, and they will be prosecuted.”
“My message not just to the Muslim community but to all Americans is ‘We cannot give in to the fear that these backlashes are really based on,'” said Lynch.
It is painfully clear that, like her predecessor Eric Holder, Lynch is far more concerned with promoting the social justice agenda than protecting the Constitutional rights of American citizens. What exactly is speech that “edges toward violence”? What exactly are “actions predicated on violent talk”? In the end, it is whatever she decides it to mean.
Loretta Lynch, at a press conference yesterday, termed the San Bernardino shootings a “wonderful opportunity” to change the nature of police work:
We’re at the point where these issues have come together really like never before in law enforcement thought and in our nation’s history and it gives us a wonderful opportunity and a wonderful moment to really make significant change.

NATO member Turkey shoots down Russian jet
Dear USA:
I get that you are afraid of large scale black rioting if you impeach Obama and remove him from office. But I would ask you to weigh the costs of that against his engineering a military loss to the Islamic State or to Russia or a nuclear exchange. Unthinkable? Ask yourselves if I had said 9 years ago that we would find ourselves where we are today if that was also unthinkable. We know that the ROE in every conflict under Obama against religious muslims either by design or by accident has guaranteed a loss. In Iraq, Afghanistan and now against the IS. The only battles the US won created space for the IS to assimilate such as Libya and in a way, Egypt.
Turkey shooting down a Russian fighter strikes me as a move designed to put major powers in between the Russians and the Islamic State. So the cost of impeachment of Barack Obama may be immeasurably lower than the cost of keeping him in for another year.

Turkey has shot down a Russian military jet which it says violated its airspace near the Syrian border.
The Russian Defence Ministry and Turkish Presidency, quoted in Russian and Turkish media reports, have both described the plane as Russian, and video posted by the Haberturk TV station appeared to show the jet coming down in flames.
A military official, quoted by Turkey’s Dogan news agency, said the plane was shot down by Turkish F16s, and that the pilot was given prior warning.
Various reports described the plane as coming down in hostile Syrian territory, and the fate of the two pilots on board was unknown.

There is currently disagreement on where the Russian aircraft was when it was shot down. But one thing is for sure. Whatever muslim filmed it, was delighted by it.

The following article has consumed most of my day. I, and others who have read it, have felt that intuitively it makes perfect sense. It is consistent with the rest of Obama’s actions and would explain a great deal about why there is this stunning and dramatic increase in tidal waves of muslim men heading in to Europe of fighting age. This would not be the only explanation though. The first English translation I found was on a German website which is similar to something like Aryan Nations or some other white supremacist site. So a big strike against. But to paraphrase Thilo Sarrazin when he was asked how he felt about Neo-Nazis agreeing with his position on IQ and 3rd world immigration to Germany, “Just because the Nazis say the sky is blue I won’t disagree just because they are Nazis”
Oz-Rita was kind enough to do this translation for us first thing in the morning her time and although we are waiting for confirmation or denial from what Austrian sources we have, I thought I would post the translation here anyway and let people judge for themselves as to its authenticity. All I can say about the originating Austrian German language website is it appears to be very anti-West in its general orientation. Speisa, a better known English publication from German sources also republished the article or at least referenced it. I suppose they also felt it was too large to leave alone entirely. ‘Just in case’, sort of thing.

‘Terror’ Trucker – Suspected Extremist Lands Commercial License – School Bus Driver? – Fox & Friends
Minnesota terror suspect gets a Class A trucking license
ST. PAUL, Minn. (KMSP) – A Minnesota man, who Homeland Security identifies as a terror suspect who is on the “No Fly” list, now has his Class A commercial license, which will allow him to drive semi-trucks.
The FOX 9 Investigators revealed last May that Amir Meshal was attempting to get his Class A license from a Twin Cities truck driving school. The $4,000 tuition was paid for through the state workforce program.
The Minnesota Department of Public Safety confirms he was granted the license after passing a road test on August 8. A spokesperson said Meshal has also applied for a school bus endorsement, pending the outcome of a criminal background check.
In May 2014, Meshal was removed and trespassed from a Bloomington, Minn. mosque, Al Farooq, after he was suspected of radicalizing young people who would later travel to Syria. According to the police report, religious leaders said, “We have concerns about Meshal interacting with our youth.” Meshal had previously been asked to leave an Eden Prairie, Minn. mosque for similar reasons.

Brad Hoff reported in Foreign Policy Journal last Friday that “in Al Jazeera’s latest Head to Head episode, former director of the Defense Intelligence Agency Michael Flynn confirms to Mehdi Hasan that not only had he studied the DIA memo predicting the West’s backing of an Islamic State in Syria when it came across his desk in 2012, but even asserts that the White House’s sponsoring of radical jihadists (that would emerge as ISIL and Nusra) against the Syrian regime was ‘a willful decision.’”
