Below is a rather excellent and long overdue expose and dissection of the Canadian wolf in sheep’s clothing. Dr. Mohamed El Masry. You may remember Moe from his appearance on Michael Coren which you can see here on vlad if you start the third frame down in this link. In any case, the good Baron over at Gates of Vienna does a rather excellent job at exposing the fallacies upon fallacies that is how El Masry made a living for years as head of the CIC or Canadian Islamic Congress. The Islamophobia Machine

Mohamed ElmasryMohamed Elmasry is an imam and a Canadian university professor. He’s somewhat of an activist on behalf of his Muslim faith, and writes occasional op-eds for the Canadian media. From time to time he has been known to butt heads with the kuffar — notably with Ezra Levant over Dr. Elmasry’s attitude towards Jews.

The good doctor’s most notorious public expression of opinion occurred when he appeared on Michael Coren’s television show on Oct. 19, 2004. He asserted on camera that every adult Jew in Israel was a fair target for Palestinian terrorists.

Afterwards, during the resulting controversy, he claimed that he didn’t say any such thing. When that didn’t work, he maintained that his words had been misrepresented, distorted, and taken out of context, and employed various other rationalizations and disclaimers, but to no avail.

Here’s a partial transcript of the program in question:

Elmasry: … and totally innocent people, obviously, is the children. But they are not innocent if they are part of a population which is total population of Israel is part of the army… From 18 on, they are part of the soldiers, even if they have civilian clothes.
Coren: So if Israeli children are killed, that is a valid use of military force by Palestinians?
Elmasry: No, they are not valid…
Coren: So what are you saying?
Elmasry: I’m saying that it has to be totally innocent, OK? Totally innocent are the children, obviously, OK? But they are not innocent if the army [inaudible] in civilian clothes, OK?
Coren: What about women?
Elmasry: The same, if they are women in the army…
Coren: Anyone over the age of 18 in Israel is a valid target.
Elmasry: Anybody above 18 is a part of the Israeli army…
Coren: So everyone in Israel and anyone and everyone in Israel, irrespective of gender, over the age of 18 is a valid target?
Elmasry: Yes, I would say.

The pressure against him became so intense that Dr. Elmasry offered to resign as a spokesman for the Canadian Islamic Congress. But his resignation was not accepted, and he continues to speak on behalf of the group.

With that in mind, here’s the Mohamed Elmasry’s latest essay, as published last week in The Georgia Straight, with my comments interpolated:

Just as some Jews betrayed their coreligionists by aiding the Nazi propaganda machine before and during WWII, today there are Muslims just as eagerly and effectively helping the Islamophobia industry to stereotype and marginalize their brothers and sisters of the faith. These Muslims are very much appreciated and celebrated by those who stand to benefit from the promotion of Islamophobia; in fact, they are in such demand that the hate-and-fear industry can’t find enough of them.

OK, we’re off to a good start here. It’s a familiar meme: Muslims in the West face the same threat today from their host societies that Jews did in the 1930s. The Muslims are the new Jews, and the Islamophobes who object to them are the same as the Nazis.

As has often been pointed out, there are holes in this argument big enough to ride a camel through.

Ezra Levant on Calgary marches and instigators.

Another must read from Ezra.

Calgary anti-Semites Nagah Hage and Syed Soharwardy have been leading the pro-Hamas, pro-Hezbollah hate marches in the Jewish neighbourhood of Calgary. Neither Hage nor Soharwardy live anywhere nearby, of course; they truck in their foul-mouthed supporters — who fly the flag of the criminal organization, Hezbollah — to chant “death to the Jews”, and wave swastikas in the face of the local citizens.

The mob comes week after week.

At the last hate march, one of Hage’s followers declared — within earshot of a policeman — that he was ready to become a suicide “martyr” in Canada or anywhere else. Another one spat at a Jewish rabbi on the way to the next-door synagogue.

Soharwardy himself wrote a proud letter to the Calgary Herald, wishing that Hamas could see their rally. Soharwardy tends to say things like that. After the tsunami, Soharwardy claimed that Western aid agencies were actually kidnapping little Muslim children, not helping them.

Canada angers Islamists

It would appear that Canada has been scratched of the guest list to sit down to dinner with the Islamists. No more invites; we’ve pissed off the Arabs and Muslim world with one fell swoop. How? Canada officially declared her support for Israel in the Gaza conflict and Israel’s right to defend herself against terrorism.

And now the bony finger of extremism and twisted logic wags itself at Canada in…….. anger.

A January 14 editorial in the Arab News condemns Canada’s decision to vote against a motion by the UN human rights council to vilify Israel in the Gaza conflict, the only country out of 47 to do so, and to demand an investigation into Israel’s human right’s violations. Canada did so, realizing the slanted position of the proposal which clearly intended to discredit Israel’s stance while simultaneously rendering Hamas blameless. 

” With a stroke, Canada has lost it’s credibility, honour and friends in the Arab and Muslim world”.   

Funny, I didn’t know we had any ‘friends’ in the Arab and Muslim world. 

Certainly, this ommission to defend Hamas is seen as repugnant only among those who would wish that peace replace violence in Gaza via submission to terrorist ideology. The many well meaning? union organizations whose stance for justice and peace rely on condemning Israel, the anti-semites who protest at weekend rallies shouting Nazi rhetoric and of course, the ‘moderate’ Muslim organizations who belittle Canada and the United States at every turn are seething with rage at both the Conservative’s and Liberal’s official stance; that Canada denounce terrorism. The NDP is too busy handing out spare shoes and hot cocoa at the rallies to comment.  Not surprisingly, I found this article on the nation’s most prominent, Islamic, peace loving site, the CIC.

“Canada’s famed evenhandedness seems to have vanished. It has been replaced by blindness and hardheartedness. It is truly shocking”.

It IS a truly shocking and welcome turn, especially to Canadians who had all but given up on the government’s willingness to re-adjust it’s balls in the trousers of the nation and deligitimize terror states and their supporters through abject rejection. As for heardheartedness? The Arab and Muslim world have the monopoly on hardheartedness and heartlessness: just ask the innocent Palestinian people, the victims of Hamas and the countless other innocents around the world who have perished in the name of Islamic ‘peace and justice’.

There is a concerted push by Islamists to see Canada evolve into a safe haven for the imported hatred of Jews and sharia law that ensure intolerance, bigotry and misogyny. All one has to do is attend a pro-Hamas rally on any given weekend to witness the desire. The anger amongst them at Canada’s recent offical denunciation of Hamas combined with the ongoing willingness of Islamist sites and Muslim community newspapers to re-publish the sentiment should come as little surprise to anyone who understands the mandate. If we have indeed ‘thrown fairness to the wind’ as they claim, it is because our definition of fairness is a radically different one, as are the definitions of peace and social justice.

“Canada has, in the past rarely done anything to anger anyone”, states the Arab media editorial. 

So be it.  Time to eat at home with a big ham and swiss on rye and a cold beer.

Canada’s grand mufti-in-waiting is reinvigorated with a new mission

Muhammed Elmasry of the Canadian Islamic Congress just can’t sit still. No doubt stung by the fact that he is now considered one of the nation’s consummate losers by having failed to succeed in all three Human Right’s Commission cases launched against Maclean’s magazine, he is now on a fresh, new mission. The biggest boil on the backside of Canada’s media butt may have been lanced, but it continues to fester.

“The first point that I did learn from this exercise is that Islamophobia is alive and well in Canada, in the media and also in politics,” he said. ” In all of this, we’ve been victimized”.

Since filing the complaints in three Canadian jurisdictions, Elmasry reflected that he made the right decision, taking full credit for sparking the debate and the ensuing massive public outcry. Yet, not one to miss an opportunity to blame others for his failure, he squarely cited inappropriate pressure by the media and politicians for the commission’s wrong decisions.

Elmasry seeks to lobby the government and to glean support from what he refers to as the “sympathetic ears in Parliament” to create a National Media Council, similar to the existing Canadian Radio-Television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC). The Council would oversee print and online media. Ostensibly, this group would provide an outlet for complaints and a forum for fairness and professionalism. The recent failure behind him, combined with renewed vigor, a beefed up ego and legal beagles in tow, his intention is to demand restrictions on what his organization considers a foul media.

Who exactly would define fairness and professionalism? The experts at the CIC and their league of Islamist cohorts? When we factor in the reality that an entire section of Dr. Elmasry’s web site is devoted to monitoring the media and endlessly scouring for perceived Islamophobic sentiment, this proposal is a frightening notion. His ideal of ‘hate-free free-speech’ is a preposterous idea that would discriminate against the reporting of the facts, the news and ultimately, the truth.

Consider this. In a lengthy document, the CIC has listed terminology that they believe should be discouraged and eventually removed from any reporting concerning terrorism or fundamentalism. Any journalist, reporter, writer or editor from any Canadian news outlet would be left condemned and deemed a bigoted rogue for using any of the listed offensive terms. Here is a partial list of offensive words the CIC considered as of 2002, as ‘anti-Islamic’, descriptions that are offensive to Muslims and by extension, Islam:

Armed Islamic group, Canadian-based Islamic extremist, Islamic regime, Islamic dictatorship, extremism, fighters, fundamentalists, hard-liner, insurgency, insurgent, suicide bomber, terrorist, terrorist cell, Islamic organization, Islamic government, activist and rebel. I believe these words used alone without the accompanying tags of Islam or Muslim may be o.k…..? The CIC would conclude that the inclusion of these descriptions would be the workings of a racist media whose only motivation is to create and foster cultural and ethnic disharmony and to victimize yet once again, Canada’s Muslim community. Reporting the facts is apparently a secondary hobby for the nation’s news outlets. 

Is it hateful to describe a person who has just set off a bomb in a crowded bazar aimed at innocents while screaming Allahu Akbar! an Islamic terrorist? Is it hateful to label an imam of a mosque who degrades western values and openly discourages the breaking of Canada’s laws an Islamic fundamentalist? Or, should future news headlines instead read:

“Some unnamed, not-a-white guy with a bomb kills 30. We cannot comment further. The sensitivity for, well-being of and protection for his identity, community, religion, culture and traditions must be maintained”. Or,

“Some unnamed, not-a-white guy in an unnamed building makes up his own rules. We cannot comment further. The sensitivity for, well-being of and protection for his identity, community, religion, culture and traditions must be maintained”.

I can in fact, use the term ‘white’ in these ludicrous headlines, since Elmasry asserts that offending white people is not as serious as offending minorities, particularly Muslims, because the white majority is “anchored”. “If somebody makes a joke that you’re white, who cares? he quips. 

Another segment in the lengthy analysis reads: “Anti-Islam in the media feeds ‘Image Distortion Disorder’ “. The CIC contends ‘ the distorted perception that Islam condones and encourages violence is largely created by the media and it leads to societal anxiety among Canadians. It is particularly dangerous in Canada within it’s multi-ethnic, multi-faith and multi-cultural populations and invariably leads to discrimination, hate-mongering, acts of vandalism and false accusations by the authorities’. 

Wait. Canada’s entire population consists of multi-ethnic, multi-faith and multi-cultural people. Are we to conclude then that all Canadians suffer from Image Distortion Disorder? 

Let me ask you this: if you cover dog shit with candied sprinkles, is it still dog shit?

In western nations Islamists work diligently to ensure that under no circumstances should Islam be connected to terrorism or extremism, an aim whose purpose lies solely in the unyielding desire for the distortion of fact. In short, the truth must become a lie and the lie must become a truth. The creation of a National Media Council would be a welcome addition in this endeavor. So would sharia.

I have heard many claim that groups like the CIC want to stifle free speech. Others claim they want to shut it down. I disagree. They have no intention of shutting down an existing press that they would gladly control. They do intend however, to manipulate the public into believing they have been so ridiculed, demeaned and targeted that additional restrictions on print and online media are necessary, with of course, the aid and guidance of a panel of Islamic experts… such as themselves. Additionally, a government seal of approval from the “sympathetic ear” crowd on Parliament Hill would help things along quite nicely. Extremism then would simply be inheriting an already well functioning institution, one to be re-fashioned, re-tooled and tweaked to suit radical Islam and the realities of sharia. There would be no stifling of free speech as long as the merits of Islam and the benevolence of the prophet were the priority. Any discourse deemed un-Islamic would simply not be tolerated. Welcome to Saudi Arabia.

Back to the candied dog shit. Dr. Elmasry also plans to lobby for a review of media concentration, ( I assume concentration refers to the ownership of Canada’s news outlets by Jews), calling it ” the antithesis of democracy”. Of course his famous statement of 2004 regarding Israelis as legitimate targets of terrorism was misunderstood, a mistake on the part of infidel ignorance. (I probably misunderstood the above white comment too).  

The CIC  I believe, is an organization obsessed with creating and promoting victimhood within the Muslim community. They and other groups of their ilk, are nothing more than political activist organizations working steadily on behalf of sharia. If, as Mr. Elmasry boasts that he indeed does represent 70% of Canadian Muslims, which may or may not be the case, then the majority are being represented by a fanatic of tremendous proportion and equal danger; a disservice to them far more damaging than any descriptions of terror or Islam. 

“I don’t want the media to be a public relations arm for the Canadian Islamic Congress. It’s unrealistic. Or to promote Islam. Or to promote Muslim causes. Or to be a propaganda tool for the XYZ issue. What I want is for them to be fair”  Professor Elmasry states.

The Islamist Role in the 2008 Canadian Elections

If you are Canadian and Islamist, you probably voted for the New Democratic Party (NDP), which won 18.2% of the vote on October 14, 2008. This was an increase in of about 1% in the vote and led to seven more seats from the 2006 elections. However, the party could not budge itself from its permanent 4th place in Canada’s parliament. Endorsed by the Canadian Islamic Congress (CIC), the left-leaning NDP has shown an incredible lack of understanding of the Islamist agenda and how soft jihadis are using democratic institutions by manipulating our respect for multiculturalism.

As a political ideology, in the long-term Islamism seeks to establish an Islamic state in the North America, but this is barely mentioned by the suave and polished young Islamists who appear in expensive suits and with a flourish of legalese and the right disarming accents. While a Taliban style overthrow is unlikely, in the short term, Islamists hope to fundamentally change western foreign policy in favor of the foreign governments that fund them and organizations they ideologically adhere to, such as the Muslim Brotherhood.

Recognizing this threat, Marc Lebuis, who runs “Point de Bascule“, invited moderate Muslims Tarek Fatah, Salim Mansur and me to participate in a conference in Montreal to address the infiltration of Islamists into the Canadian political system, where the first real arena has been the NDP.

Canadian Kohail sentenced to beheading in Saudi Arabia. Should Canada intervene?

Twenty three year old Canadian Mohamed Kohail has been found guilty of murder while in Saudi Arabia and faces execution by beheading. His death is imminent and he will likely die for his crime within the coming weeks.

Kohail grew up in Saudi Arabia but moved to Montreal when he was a teenager. He, along with his family moved back to Saudi Arabia temporarily to attend a wedding intending to return to Canada where they own a home. While there, he (Kohail) became involved in a brawl after his brother Sultan, 16, called for his help at a local school where a group of youths armed with knives and clubs accused him of insulting a girl. Mohamed involved himself in the fight intending to defend his brother and after the bloody episode had ended, Syrian Haraki died.

The Kohail brothers were immediately arrested and taken to a prison in Jeddah. Friends and family allege that Kohail was the victim of an unfair investigation and trial. One family friend claims the court ignored important evidence that would have cleared Kohail of the charge against him. Other sources assert that the young man’s lawyers were repeadedly denied access to the courtroom.

Canadian politicians, human rights groups and government agencies are pressing hard to save Mohamed kohail’s life. Amnesty International has since sent a letter addressed to the Saudi ambassador to Canada urging him to intervene in the case, citing very serious concerns regarding the legal process to which the defendant was subjected. The Saudi embassy in Ottawa has not, as of yet, commented.

What is pointedly missing in this case is the lack of concern by Canadian Muslim organizations regarding the alleged mistreatment of Mr. Kohail at Saudi hands and his impeding execution. Certainly one would think that high profile Islamic groups such as CAIR-CAN, the Canadian Arab Federation and the Canadian Islamic Congress, all proponents of fair justice and the improvement in the quality of life for Muslim Canadians here and abroad, would have weighed in on this situation.

Yet none of their sites even mention the Kohail case.

Where are the denouncements and calls for ‘action’ on behalf of a fellow Muslim Canadian? Where are the letters of concern, the protests outside the Saudi embassy and the plethora of media communiques sent to major newspapers? Where are the calls aimed at Saudi officials requesting an investigation into the matter and calling for clemency? Where are the requests asking that Mr. Kohail be returned to Canada? Where are the numerous essays, columns and articles criticizing the Saudi government? Why is there no pressure put upon the Harper government to intervene in this case and repatriate Mr. Kohail by these organizations? And, where is the support for his family in this ordeal?

I have read nothing…….nothing.

Perhaps the answer lies in the fact that these groups are simply not concerned with the welfare of a Muslim Canadian such as Mohamed Kohail at all, preferring to concentrate their rabid obsession with asking the Canadian government to repatriate terrorists such as Omar Khadr. Or likely, time spent deeming themselves official intervenors calling for follow-up action on the recent Iacobucci report demanding that Canada apologize and compensate Abdullah Almalki, Ahmed Abon-Elmatti and Muyayyed Nureddin for alleged torture they suffered in Egypt and Syria.

Or maybe they are too busy to help Kohail, finding themselves consumed by their tremendous effort to monitor the alarming rise of Islampohobia in Canada accompanied by vigorous attempts to rid Canadian society of legitimate criticism of Islam via censorship through human rights commission complaints and prosecuting and ridiculing journalists and a Canadian free press. Or maybe they are too bogged down by hours spent constantly involved in heavy lobbying to defend and secure the implementation of sharia law in Canada? 

I believe the neglect of Mohammed Kohail’s case indicates the simplicity of a brotherhood bond with Saudi whabbist principle, a twisted ideology that finds moral acceptability amongst the Islamists in Canada. What is there to rail against when one agrees?

Thirteen year old rape victim Aisha Ibrahim Duhulow was stoned to death for adultery on October 27 by a group of fifty men in a stadium in Kismayu, Somalia while 1,000 spectators looked on. Again, nothing denouncing this human tragedy appeared on any of these ‘moderate,’ peace-pushing, justice-for-all sites.

Why the silence?

Is this a tacit agreement in ideology?

Are these the kinds of legitimate questions that are more often than not considered blasphemous and Islampohobic to an extremist Muslim mindset where the priority of offense is to religious sensibility and replaces the collective moral outrage of the murder of a 13 year old rape victim?

I must be misinformed by a lying and ignorant world media reporting these horrors, as I am told repeatedly that Islam treats women, Muslims and all people with equality and dignity. The real bastards of such women’s oppression apparently are Western nations, as I’ve learned from reading an insightful essay entitled the liberation of women on the Canadian Islamic Congress website written by Mr. Canadian Peace and Justice himself Dr. Elmasry. 

I do believe that Canada should intervene on behalf of Mohamed Kohail. I also believe that Canadians need to work far harder to show strong objection to the moral depravity of a Saudi social, cultural and legal system and to shame others like it, that continue to perpetuate such brutality, bigotry and backwardness. I also believe that countries which deploy the systematic and regular murder of rape victims accused of the crime of adultery should be criticized internationally as rogue establishments, unworthy of respect. Any group which supports, justifies, condones or excuses such extremism either openly or by silent applause should be condemned and ridiculed.

While Canadian Kohail awaits his execution and Aisha Ibrahim Duhulow lays dead, Islamism in it’s most perverse and hypocritical state continues in Canada.

Child Brides, Afghanistan, the CIC and Mohamed El Masry

In this heartbreaking slide show from World Vision, you get a clear idea about how bad conditions are for women in Afghanistan and thats today under the new ‘liberal’ non Taliban government. I feel even the intensely felt comments of the women who put these slides together show that the commentator still doesn’t get it. She makes the usual claim of ‘root causes’ of poverty and so on that causes women or more accurately, little girls even Maurice Chevalier would be ashamed to look at, to be sold into marriage.

I suppose thats understandable in that World Vision is seeking money to spread to solve these problems as they understand them. But the problem is Islam. If these girls where sent to a decent agriculture school and taught how to use genetically modified strains of food suited for these conditions poverty would be greatly reduced as they have everywhere these products are used. Islam holds no value for women as persons but great value as chattel. So no amount of money will improve the rights of women in Afghanistan or else we would see Saudi Women as having the best rights on Earth. Or at least having the right to drive a car. Or not be killed for being raped which is clearly a result of a property crime as opposed to a human one.

However you cant change the entire culture of a people and a nation no matter how much force you use unless at the very least, you actually try to. There is no way to improve the conditions for women and people in general in Afghanistan if you leave people thinking the way they always have and the way that caused these issues in the first place.

Then we have Mohamed El Masry, spokesmouth for the Canadian Islamic Confrence. It should come as no surprise that the CIC’s position is women have the same or better rights in Islamic nations than they do in the western world.

Here are a few choice moments from the above linked article:

“You’d think that the media in our so-called “liberal” society would pay more attention to concrete issues that genuinely compromise and demean the quality of life of Western women, who are statistically at greatest risk from the effects of poverty, pornography, domestic abuse, marginalization, or lack of educational opportunities in career-building fields (like maths and sciences).”

Of course it doesn’t take a minute to discover that in Islamic nations schools that teach women more than Koran are often burned to the ground. Should those women inside not be wearing a Hijab at the time, they may not be allowed to leave.

Not to mention that the whole paragraph is utter nonsense. Women in he western world have over fifty percent of the total wealth and much or most of that is from wealth ‘redistribution’ from divorces. While this itself is not a good thing and needs careful scrutiny as a process, it certainly makes minced pork out of ElMasri.

I am tempted to refute the CIC post point for point but playing ‘whack a mole’ is exhausting. Anyone who may feel tempted to believe any of the patent nonsense and abuse of logic in it may wish to investigate his claims and attempts to make the liberal democracies appear to be the problem. If they where, why are all the Muslims coming to western nations with a conspicuous absence of women from the west applying for Visa’s to live (certainly not work, thats not allowed in many Muslim nations) in Kandahar; Tehran; Islamabad or Riyadh.

Lastly i invite you to read a particularly excellent essay by Phyllis Chesler who did in fact move to Afghanistan. Well she thought she was visiting but it turned out she was moving as once she got there the first thing the Afghans did was take away her passport.

I think we would do well to ask ourselves exactly what is it we are doing in Afghanistan. Are we so so committed to our path of cultural egalitarianism we are willing to lose this war? Because thats the choice. Either be prepared to fight Islam the way we fought Nazism and Communism and other repugnant inhuman ideologies or be prepared to lose.

Ongoing struggle of Ezra Levant.

I post below the newest entry of his blog. Its more than good its important. Ezra is fighting what is at the very root of Islamic supremacism in the western world. Irrational leftism. Those who would remove our most basic freedoms and rights using craftily worded excuses and ‘explanations’ to try and make decent people buy in to their reasoning in the interest of ‘fairness’. Islam merely uses the vihicle designed by the left and purchased by us in union packaging. After reading this article read back to the posts Ezra has made since he resumed blogging around Oct. 15th. well worth it. Also, if you are in a position to donate to his legal fund please do so. anything from $10.00 on up I am sure will be appreciated and go to a good cause. His struggle truly is the struggle of all western peoples with an interest in taking back rational values and a society that remembers what rights actually mean.

Disgraced Liberal lobbyist Warren Kinsella tries to destroy me

Another day, another lawsuit by a bully in the “human rights” industry trying to shut me up. I’m not sure why those geniuses think this one will gag me, when the previous 19 suits haven’t.

This latest lawsuit comes from the disgraced Liberal lobbyist, Warren Kinsella. You can see his statement of claim here.

I received it when I was on my blogging hiatus in September, so I haven’t posted it until now. I filed my statement of defence earlier this month, which you can see here.

Freedumb in Afghanistan, Islam style.

How do you spell freedom in Afghanistan?

On October 21,2008 an Afghan appeal court overturned a death penalty ruling against student journalist Sayed Perwiz Kambakhsh, sentencing him instead to twenty years imprisonment. His crime? Questioning the tenets of Islam relating to women. The charge? Blasphemy. 

One year ago, Mr. Perwiz Kambakhsh was arrested for downloading an article from the internet which discussed and questioned Islam’s treatment of women under sharia law. He proceeded to bring the article in question to journalism class, presumably hoping to debate it’s contents. His professor informed the authorities and he was promptly arrested and charged with insulting Islam.He sits in pul-e-Charki prison. This was not an act committed by the Taliban, but by the Afghan government, which surely must convince even the most stubborn defender of the world’s religion of peace that brutality and ignorance meted out against Afghanis is not specific to Taliban henchmen. The government itself is devoted to the same Islamic idiocy albeit to a somewhat lesser degree. Sharia law is incorporated into the Afghan constitution; insulting Islam is illegal and blasphemy is a crime punishable by death.

The judges presiding over Mr. Perwiz Kambakhsh’s speedy and closed trial, epitomize the seemingly overwhelming low level of average intellect among Afghanistan’s elite policy makers and legal officials. These same judges were left confused, unaware and bewildered that an article could be downloaded and printed from the internet at all, yet believe themselves fully qualified to oversee legal proceedings which impact the lives of Afghanis in the 21st century.

“The judges who are living in the Middle Ages did not understand the case and readily complied” says Kambakhsh”s brother Sayed Yaqub Ibrahimi, also a journalist. He asserts that Islamists pressured President Hamid Karzai and the appeal court to impose the stiff penalty and asks countries like Canada to intervene on behalf of his brother and condemn the ruling.

In an article from today’s Ottawa Citizen,” Canada must protest sentence of Afghan ‘blasphemer’ brother says” Mr. Ibrahimi notes that his brother has one more chance to appeal the ruling to Afghan’s Supreme Court. It is at this junction he believes Canada could intervene. ” Canada is one of the biggest supporters of Afghanistan. It must ask President Karzai why it is spending millions and millions of dollars for democracy, justice and freedom (when cases like this happen).

Perhaps we should. Or perhaps not.

There can be no doubt by international and rational standards, the penalty brought against Mr. Perwiz Kambakhsh is extreme and unwarranted. If Canada were to consider protesting this sentence and confronting President Karzai on such matters, then perhaps it would also be timely and appropriate to include Canadian Muslim organizations to accompany the Canadian government in issuing a joint statement of condemnation. It would be a breakaway opportunity to end their silence on such matters and contribute in the denouncement of Mr. Kambakhsh’s treatment while simultaneously promoting Western progressive, egalitarian and tolerant ideals they have come to admire and have had the advantage to experience.

Surely, Dr. Muhammed Elmasry of the Canadian Islamic Congress would welcome such an opportunity to exercise his groups long established record on insisting the progression of human rights and fairness for all Muslims. By extending it’s zeal to help a fellow brother of faith in a case clearly mismanaged, the CIC could shake it’s obsession with condemning the Canadian media and to stand behind it’s purported mandate of good will, peace, solidarity and aid as national spokesmen of Canada’s Muslim majority.

Additionally, Muslim organizations such as the CIC and Caircan may be briefly catapulted away from their standard insistence and inflated notion that Muslims are victims primarily of Western, bullish, Islamophobic tactics and openly realize the fact that the vast majority of brutality and oppression perpetrated against Muslims globally comes first and foremost from Islam itself in Islamic nations. 

If Canada’s much despised presence in Afghanistan and billions of tax payer dollars are to be spent promoting the principles of democracy and individual freedom amongst a populace either unable or unwilling to progress only to have cases such as this come to the fore where stone age mindset is the obvious rule, then perhaps it is time to re-evaluate our commitment and stop enabling such an ignorant and lost cause, that is Afghanistan.

Unlikely as it is, I would like to believe that Sayed Perwiz Kambakhsh would receive fair legal treatment in his appeal in this case and hope for his release. As unlikely, would be any denouncement from Canadian Muslim organizations in relation to such harsh religious interpretation and Mr. Kambakhsh’s ordeal. All things considered and seven years later the fact remains, this is Afghan freedumb, Islam style.

October is Islamic history month in Canada!

What a brilliant idea! I feel like Ramadam came early this year. I couldn’t have got a better wish than Islamic history month. I think if we where to spend one month teaching high schools and universities the bloody horrific truth about Islamic history we wouldn’t have a problem whatsoever.

My first week would be all Fjordman explaining how Islam conquered the Arabian peninsula and subjected its people to forced conversion slavery death torture and so on. Of course day one would be exposing how Mohamed personally slaughtered the tribes of Jews indigenous to Arabia because they would not accept him as messiah.

Second week would be on how the Crusades where a defensive war that Europe Lost. Taught from this book, a fantastic explanation for a rational war to drive Islam out of Europe.

Third week would be inconsistencies in Koran and how Koran is used to justify murder of family members and frankly anyone without due process for perceived thought crimes against Islam etc.

Lastly, I would focus on the Barbary pirates, Modern Somali pirates and the obvious comparisons as well as Thomas Jefferson and Winston Churchill’s experiences with and writings on Islam.

This would be fantastic I’m so excited. One month of real education about the history of Islam and its ambitions and deeds and Canada’s willingness to prostrate itself to accommodate Islamic ideals and beliefs would be over by lunchtime October 2.

What a brutal shame that Islamic history month will certainly have nothing whatsoever to do with Islamic history. Instead it will try and make the claims that European and Hindu Indian inventions philosophies and thought actualy came from Islam (which of course didnt even exist till centuries if not millenia after the Greeks who actually did most of the accomplishment) and will be an attempt to rationalize Islam’s brutal hatreds intolerance and genocidal teachings against the jews against a post modern backdrop of leftist politics dealing with the 65 year old state of Israel.

The fact that Mohamed advocated genocide of the jews in the seventh century will go unnoticed of course and the fact that Islam spread pretty much entirely by bloody conquest. Even the Emperor of ancient Persia spoke eloquently on that who was recently quoted by the Pope and for which of course, the pope’s death threat file grew by several inches.

Also a few days should be spent explaining why Islam owes reparations to Europe for the million plus people it took as slaves.

The most important single thing western nations can possibly do today is have an Islamic history month. Lets just be sure to teach Islamic history. It will die the squirming pestilent death of every other irrational violent religious authority.

Canada’s awakening to radical-Islamist penetration of its political, bureaucratic and social infrastructure, reached a watershed moment this month.

Quebec’s new French-language anti-Islamist website, Point de Bascule – “tipping point” – sponsored a dramatic press conference in Montreal Oct. 2 on the dangers of hard-line Islamist penetration of Canada. But this was consciousness-raising with a powerful difference.

All three panelists were moderate Canadian Muslims. All three face death fatwas. And all three spoke unsparingly – some giving names and startling specifics – of the Sharia surge and stealth jihad in Quebec and the rest of Canada. Indeed, detailed allegations were heard about Islamist inroads into the federal New Democratic Party (NDP), Canada’s social democratic party, and about infiltration of a government commission with power to define and silence “hate” speech. These were momentous claims in the context of Canada’s national election campaign – the national vote takes place today. As evidenced by the number of journalists in attendance, the Quebec media were galvanized.

India-born Dr. Salim Mansur of the University of Western Ontario opened by calling on Canadians to end the political correctness and self-censorship that has muffled efforts to debate the stealth jihad – the gradual radical-Islamicizing of Canadian society. Like other speakers, he distinguished between moderate Muslims and Islamists, and warned of accelerating fundamentalist efforts “to establish a parallel society within Quebec and within Canada, as they are doing in Europe, that will be administered on the basis of Sharia.”

Mansur cited Islamist demands, “in our multicultural society,” “for gender exclusion … for legal arbitration on the basis of Sharia in Ontario and Quebec, the promotion of Sharia finance.” He pointed to demands for the right to have “veiled voting” in elections, complete with male-free zones in voting stations and female-only government cadres to verify veiled-voters’ identity.

Professor Mansur warned stirringly of increasing radical penetration of Canada’s political and social infrastructure. In the midst of the election, he turned his guns on Canada’s social-democratic New Democratic Party (NDP). The Party and its leader, he said,

“have gone to bed with Islamists, operatives of the Canadian Islamic Congress, and other organizations, such as the Council on American Islamic Relations Canada, the Muslim Student Associations in our universities, ISNA – the Islamic Society of North America … for reasons of sheer political opportunism at the expense of the security of our citizens, and defending the fundamental values of our democracy.”

(For those unfamiliar with Canada’s radical scene, the hard-line Canadian Islamic Congress was revealed to have given a media-excellence award to the founder of a Canadian-Islamic newspaper said to have had as its editorial line the assertion that 9/11 was a success, that Iranian-style theocracy should spread worldwide, and that Canada is a “fully paid-up member of the Anglo-Saxon mafia, which is responsible for most of the recorded genocides in the world.” The Canadian Arab Federation (CAF), mentioned below, also recognized this individual with a special anniversary award.

Being acquitted by a pretend court must be something like being found healthy by a pretend doctor.

Both exercises might make you wonder what the point was in the first place and why the authority to render such verdicts was granted at all. Little solace, then, is to be found in what on the surface seems to be a reassuring declaration.

Such concerns abound in the aftermath of the “not guilty” verdict handed down Friday by the BC Human Rights Tribunal in the case against Maclean’s magazine.


The magazine has essentially been awarded retroactive state approval to run, as it did two years ago, an excerpt from Mark Steyn’s book America Alone.

Little consolation to Maclean’s, mind you, which has no means by which to recoup its legal costs.

The case, brought forth by the Canadian Islamic Congress, has become a flash point for the debate over freedom of expression and freedom of the press. It’s not just that Mark Steyn should be free to say or write what he so chooses, it’s that Maclean’s should be free to publish what it chooses.

But it’s about much more than that — it’s about whether we truly are a secular society and what we take that to mean.

Canada’s NDP and its alliance with Islamists. From the National Post

I had the privilege of spending a few hours today, October 2, amongst the bravest people in Canada.

One, Marc Lebuis, is a name you won’t recognize, because up to now he’s kept a low profile as the one-man show running www.pointdebasculecanada.ca. This is an anti-Islamist site that brings francophone Quebecers the news and frank opinions on the relentless push of the soft jihadists in our midst to Islamicize society, opinions that the mainstream media are too politically correct to publish. Marc and some close associates organized today’s press conference on the subject, “Political Islam – A Threat to Our Freedoms.”

The three other brave people appearing with him should be household names, but their courage and eloquence is, shamefully, only known and saluted by a relative handful of grateful Canadians: Salim Mansur, Tarek Fatah and Raheel Raza, three Canadian Muslims facing death threats by other Canadian Muslims for exposing the dangers of Islamism, a totalitarian ideology that wears the mask of religion.

The room at the Omni hotel in Montreal was filled to capacity, reverberating with frequent applause to statements like these from Salim Mansur: “Islam is my private life, my conscience…[but] my faith does not take precedence over my duties…to Canada and its constitution, which I embrace freely;” “I am first and most importantly a Canadian;” “only in a free society will you find Islam as a faith and not a political religion.”

El Masri’s hypocrisy and the agenda of the CIC

Below is a National Post story quoting Mohamed El Masry about the dismissal of the McCleans and Mark Steyn complaint by the Canadian Human Rights Commission which El Masry filed.

While on the surface it may to some appear somewhat reasonable it should be noted that the CIC’s own website, one which fosters hatred and intolerance of Jews, Israeli’s (Elmasri is the man who said any Israeli over 18 was a legitimate target of terrorism does not allow comments and provides no email links to contact them whatsoever. Mohamed Elmasy is the worst kind of hypocrite. He does not wish to have equal voice he wishes to crush any dissenting voice by any means he can. He wishes to force private media to not expose his lies or oppose his agenda but to reflect them as his demands on McCleans magazine demonstrates. The CIC recently sponsored an essay contest where the ground rules where to include a number of preconceived historical lies about the history of the state of Israel as an example. He is a classic soft Jihadi and perhaps more as the prime minister of Canada has steadfastly refused to meet with him. (Way to go Stephen Harper!)

Liberating Muslim Women; part 1

Canada’s predominant guru of all things Islam and top loud-mouth of anti-Semitic rhetoric, Dr. Elmasry, has published a recent op-ed on the Canadian Islamic Congress website entitled “Liberating Muslim Women” part 1. As usual, his essay is riddled with inaccuracies and broad statements without any accompanying statistical source information. But perhaps the most troublesome aspect of this essay is his incessant need to ridicule all things Western and to push the existence of “alarming levels of islamophobia” at every turn, as if it were a rampant thread running through every western news room.

The intention of Elmasry’s ill-crafted essay is to extol the virtues of Islam and it’s evidently loving, Quranic treatment of women against the backdrop of a fouled, misinformed Americanized media. This misdirectional tactic is common amongst jihadis, their defenders and apologizers. It is a strategy created to divert attention from and curb criticism toward a morally bankrupt whabbist ideology which time and again, perpetrates violence, aggression and oppression against women across the globe.

He is dismayed by a poster of a woman in hijab with the accompanying statement “how can we liberate them” displayed in Amsterdam in 2003, as part of a government public service announcement, an act he views as disturbing. What is truly disturbing though, is the fact that he fails to inform the reader of the campaign in any fuller context and provides no insight or factual detail as to why the government of Holland felt it necessary to initiate this campaign. Relying on this strategic imbalance, (which he constantly accuses the Canadian and all western media of doing), his aim is clear; to further instill and encourage a deeper sense of victimization and segregation within Canada’s Muslim population by portraying western nations as enemies of Islam. He also feels free to use women, hijabed or not, as his catapulting object to once again, demean western nations, secular cultures and modern values.
