The school division is facing the music in a typically Canadian way – that is, bending itself into a trombone to try to accommodate these demands, even though in Manitoba, and indeed the rest of the country, music and phys. ed are compulsory parts of the curriculum.

Officials say they may try to have the Muslim children do a writing project on music to satisfy the curriculum’s requirements. The school officials have apparently consulted the Manitoba Human Rights Commission, and they have also spoken to a member of the Islamic community suggested by those very same Muslim parents.

In any event, the school district is trying to find a way to adapt the curriculum to fit the wishes of these families, rather than these families adapting to fit into the school and Canadian culture.

Mahfooz Kanwar, a member of the Muslim Canadian Congress, says he has some better ideas.

“I’d tell them, this is Canada, and in Canada, we teach music and physical education in our schools. If you don’t like it, leave. If you want to live under sharia law, go back to the hellhole country you came from or go to another hellhole country that lives under sharia law,” said Kanwar, who is a professor emeritus of sociology at Mount Royal University in Calgary.

That might be putting things a little more forcefully than most of us would be comfortable with, but Kanwar says he is tired of hearing about such out-of-tune demands from newcomers to our country. “Immigrants to Canada should adjust to Canada, not the other way around,” he argues.

The sudden shift to “democracy” by some of these Muslim states that they so loudly applaud, are in fact, mob rule factions which spells disaster for minorities. The first to feel the pinch, as always, is the tiny Jewish community.

Here’s a new video of the demonstration of anti-Semitic Islamist week Friday at the Great Synagogue of Tunis. The demonstrators shouted anti-Semitic slogans: “Jews Wait army of Mohammed is coming back!”, “We’ll redo the Battle of Khaybar” recalling the victory of the Prophet on the Jews in 628 and the traditional “ouakbar Allah!”

Here’s what they scream:

“Khaybar, Khaybar, yya yahoud, Jaysh Muhammad saya’oud” (Khaybar, Khaybar [3], “O Jews, the army of Muhammad will return” !)…

For information, or The Battle of Khaybar Khaybar (Arabic: ????) pitted during the seventh year of the Hijra (628-629), Muhammad and his followers to Jews living in the oasis of Khaybar, located 150 km of Yathrib, now Medina, in the northwestern part of the Arabian Peninsula, now Saudi Arabia. The city was fairly rich, well-fortified and largely populated by Jews before the expedition, which became the symbol of the Muslim victory over the Jews.

NETHERLANDS PARLIAMENT REAFFIRMS THE OBVIOUS: ISRAEL IS A JEWISH STATE

Thanks to the parties that initiated this wonderful resolution and for voting favorably on it. Well done. Also, the decision to nix any move to declare, unilaterally, a Palestinian state, was a wise move as well. Without any move on the Arabs’ part to normalize their society, there is no rush or hurry to grant statehood to them. KGS

Netherlands parliament move affirms Israel as Jewish State

JPOST: BERLIN – Members of the Dutch parliament reinforced the Jewish character of Israel during a session earlier this month, with a parliamentary decision that termed it a “democratic Jewish state.”

The pro-Israel vote resulted in 113 of the 150 parliament members affirming Israel’s existence as a Jewish, democratic state and urging the EU not to recognize a unilaterally declared Palestinian state.

According to the parliamentary measure, “the unilateral declaration of a Palestinian state will not bring closer a lasting peace, and therefore the Dutch government asks to advance a European (EU) policy that rejects the unilateral declaration of a Palestinian state and means a European call to the Palestinian leaders to resume direct negotiations with Israel.

Furthermore the Palestinians should work toward a lasting solution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict that takes into consideration the Palestinian problem and includes the explicit recognition of a democratic Jewish State of Israel.”

The Reformed Political Party, SGP, which is a small Protestant party, initiated the resolution. The measure was co-sponsored by the Christian Democratic Appeal party and the Christian Union, a separate Protestant party. The governing liberal party, VVD, and Geert Wilders’s Party for Freedom supported the resolution.

Surprisingly, the Dutch Labor party (PvdA) also threw its weight behind the vote. Traditionally, the Labor party has vehemently opposed Dutch legislation favoring Israel and seeking to combat radical Islamic terror.

IPT: IS YUSUF AL-QARADAWI EGYPT’S NEW KHOMEINI……?

The Tundra Tabloids believes that it’s very plausible for the next Egyptian regime to have a solid Muslim Brotherhood backing, in other words, ‘their guy’, while they remain in the background pulling strings. If they have indeed learned from the Turk’s AKP party, led by the likes of Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the Prime Minister of Turkey, then the Middle East has become that much more dangerous.

They only need to slowly Islamize the country in increments to achieve their goal of a fully Islamic state whose judicial system will be a fully Islamic one. The rise of fundamuslims to roles of state importance will only be a matter of time as the secularists are squeezed out. That’s what has occurred in Turkey, where for an instance, Turkish airlines has its jobs doled out to those with bona fide Muslim credentials, so it shouldn’t come as a surprise that camels are being sacrificed by maintenance crews celebrating a job well done.

Just think of what the Leftist media will say after the Muslim Brotherhood does indeed take over… and nothing happens, at first. Life  in Egypt continues, with a little change here, and another tweak there, a little sharia enforcement here and a few years later and further down the road, one change after another begins to happen, and what we warned about is de facto reality. There are a number of similarities between Qaradawi and Iran’s Ayatollah Khomeini. Both operated as charismatic Islamists fighting against secular, autocratic regimes. Khomeini made broadcasts in exile from Paris; today, Qaradawi hosts a popular talk show on Al Jazeera called “Sharia and Life.” Like Khomeini, Qaradawi is a virulent anti-Semite. He has lauded Hitler for putting Jews in their place and expressed hope he would die a martyr trying to kill Jews.

What makes the situation so dangerous, according to Smith, is the fact that the Egyptian party system offers no credible opposition leader as an alternative to President Hosni Mubarak. Mubarak’s National Democratic Party is likely to crumble when he leaves, making the Muslim Brotherhood the country’s best organized party.

DANISH PRIEST REPORTED FOR RACISM IN OPPOSITION TO BUILDING OF MOSQUES

Now they’re coming after priests. The anti-ethnic indigenous European multi-culturalists are on the witch hunt again. KGS

So, reported to the police. The Public Prosecutor will have to look at it.”

Bredballe-priest reported for racism

Vejle: The priest in Bredballe, Rolf Slot-Henriksen, has been reported to the Danish police for racism. This was done by Social Democrat Jonas Bjørn Jensen, a member of the Copenhagen City Council.

In January, the priest sent a letter to the members of the Copenhagen City Council. In the letter, he warned politicians against approving a Planning Act which permits the construction of two mosques in the capital. This proposal is to be considered this Thursday.

The Copenhagen Police must now decide whether Rolf Slot-Henriksen has violated a racism statute in the Danish penal code.

The priest from Bredballe has sent the letter as a parish priest, and the Copenhagen politician, believes he has misused his position to bolster his argument.

Rolf Slot-Henriksen, among other things, said that the mosque is an invitation to battle to death, and backs his assertions with Quranic quotations.

According to Jonas Bjørn Jensen, the pastor also uses the Constitutional clause on freedom of religion to argue against approving the mosques.

FINNISH HUMAN RIGHTS LEAGUE WARNS OF INCREASE OF CHILDREN SENT ABROAD INTO FORCED MARRIAGES

“Girls missing from Finland forced into marriages’

UusiSuomi: The sending abroad of migrant children and young people for forced marriages, may become more frequent in the future, says the Human Rights League Secretary, Kristiina Kouros, of the EDILEX news service.

In the spring of 2010, the League of Human Rights ascertained data in interviews with 60 people, of immigrant children and young people being sent abroad. The study succeeded in identifying some forty children and young people who were, during the 2000’s, were sent abroad.

Interviews indicated that the girls’ marriage arrangements were the most common reason for sending them out of Finland.

Forced marriages can be for parents extreme measures for youths testing their boundaries. Human Rights Association report indicates, for example, a girl from a Central Asian background who had spent almost her whole life in Finland and attended school up until university matriculations. Although the girl had spent a very regimented life, expressing her own will led to her being sent out of the country just prior to the matriculations. Waiting at the destination, apparently, was a marriage by conniving relatives.

Forced marriages may be in a parents’ and child’s relationship, a barter, in which the surrender of the child receives the blessing from their parents for even promises of studying in school. At worst, it’s still a one-sided dictate, which may be masked as a trip abroad.

– In an extreme case, the girl has been sent abroad, where she has her passport taken and a marriage ceremony has been organized by the family, Kouros says.

The border between arranged and forced marriages can be unclear. If the arranging of the groom does not involve an element of coercion, the case  may be legally and socially unproblematic. Kouros points out that a forced marriage is always wrong, even though the list of  possible grooms are queued up.

Technically, a forced marriage is not expressly prohibited by Finnish law, although the law assumes that actions taken against the will of a person are prohibited. The chain may work in an other direction: Coming to Finland to enter into a marriage in order to obtain a residence permit.

Muslims must embrace our British values, David Cameron says

British Muslims must subscribe to mainstream values of freedom and equality, David Cameron will say as he declares that the doctrine of multiculturalism has “failed” and will be abandoned.

Entering the debate on national identity and religious tolerance, the Prime Minister will declare an end to “passive tolerance” of divided communities, and say that members of all faiths must integrate into wider society and accept core values.

To be British is to believe in freedom of speech and religion, democracy and equal rights regardless of race, sex or sexuality, he will say. Proclaiming a doctrine of “muscular liberalism”, he will say that everyone, from ministers to ordinary voters, should actively confront those who hold extremist views.

He will also warn that groups that fail to promote British values will no longer receive public money or be able to engage with the state.

His speech, to an international security conference in Munich, comes after The Daily Telegraph disclosed the extent to which the British intelligence community fears the “unique threat” of terrorist attacks by radicalised British Muslims.

Mr Cameron will promise a new willingness to argue against and “defeat” extremist ideologies that lead some to engage in terrorism.

BREAKING: GAS LINE FROM EGYPT TO ISRAEL SABOTAGED

Natural gas supply to Israel cut off after blast at Egyptian terminal

JERUSALEM — Egypt temporarily suspended its natural gas supply to Israel as a security precaution after an explosion at a terminal in the northern Sinai Peninsula, Israel radio said Saturday.

The Egyptian regional governor told Nile News TV that he suspected “sabotage” at the el-Arish gas terminal but did not elaborate, the Associated Press reported. The blast set off a fire that could be seen for dozens of miles.

Gov. Abdel Wahab Mabrouk said the fire was brought under control by mid-morning, the AP reported. Technicians had to shut off valves controlling the flow of gas from the terminal into pipelines transporting gas to Israel, Syria and Jordan.

Israeli radio said the explosion damaged a pipeline to Jordan, not to Israel, but the supply to Israel was cut off as a temporary precaution.

In recent days, Israelis have worried about the possibility of a cutoff of natural gas shipments from Egypt as a result of the turmoil and political uncertainty there.

“Following the pipeline explosion in [Egypt], the security establishment has taken steps to beef up security at all installations related to the supply of gas to Israel,” Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak’s office said in a statement Saturday.

Israel’s main electricity company said service to homes would not be interrupted.

Egypt sells Israel 60 billion cubic feet a year under a 15-year deal that started in February 2008, according to the AP

‘Two bodyguards killed in assassination attempt on new Egyptian vice president’

Opportunists could be taking advantage of the revolution, which has not yet succeeded in toppling President Hosni Mubarak from power, to push their own unknown agendas.

Fox News quoted sources on the assassination attempt last night.

Mr Gibbs was visibly flustered when asked about the incident at a press conference. ‘Uh… I’m not going to get in to that question,’ he said.

Mr Suleiman was appointed by Mr Mubarak as he tried to stem criticism over his 30-year rule. So far, the move has failed to bring calm to Egypt.

Yet Another EDL Leader Threatened at His Home by Armed Muslim Mob

When we reported on the attempted armed attack on one of the EDL leaders late last week, it was pointed out that Islam hates opposition. And that when Islam meets with opposition the only way it can deal with that opposition is with threats of death, physical intimidation and violence. Many people were cynical enough to believe that it was a ploy by the EDL, close to the demonstration in Luton, to gain support and sympathy for the cause.

Yet, last night fifteen armed men, one of them armed, it’s alleged with a firearm, turned up at the home of the EDL’s chief spokesman, Guramit Singh with the intent of at least to intimidate him and frighten him. Guramit, confronting the men with his Rottweiler showed that neither he nor the EDL will be cowed or intimidated. Armed police soon arrived and Amit as he affectionately known was escorted to the local police station to give a statement. Afterwards he was collected by members of his EDL division and taken to a safe house with police protection. The police are still at his home at the present time.

Egypt’s Coptic Christians fear life without Mubarak

The Copts have protested the harassment directed at them under the Egyptian president’s rule, but worry that things would be far worse if Islamist extremists gained power.

Reporting from Alexandria, Egypt — The morning bells of All Saints Church beckon worshipers a little later these days, and Mass is celebrated more frequently.

The schedule shift for the early service has come in response to the government-imposed overnight curfew. The extra services? Coptic Christians in Egypt’s second-largest city say they have a lot of reasons to pray amid the nation’s ongoing turmoil.

But in a surprise even to them, many Copts say they now find themselves praying for President Hosni Mubarak’s government to last as long as possible.

It’s not that the Copts — who make up about 10% of Egypt’s population of more than 80 million — see the autocratic three-decade president as a great friend. Far from it, they say. As recently as last month, Christian youths in this coastal city protested what they called the government’s failure to root out growing anti-Copt harassment, which culminated in a New Year’s Day bombing that killed 24 worshipers outside All Saints.

Weeks before anti-Mubarak demonstrators in Cairo began their occupation of Tahrir Square, Copt protesters in Alexandria were choking on tear gas as they faced down government police.

But now, many say they’re rethinking their opposition to Mubarak’s government, fearing its collapse might spur an anti-Christian backlash if the Muslim Brotherhood or other Islamist groups gain a foothold.

“He’s the best of the worst,” said Sameh Joseph, a church worker at the Patriarch of the Orthodox Christians Church in Alexandria. “Whoever comes after him might want to destroy us.”
