When she was 13-years old, Salma (full name withheld) from Saudi Arabia was forced to marry a man aged over 60.

The man paid her father a dowry of SR250,000 ($68,000), but Salma says it was like she was actually sold.

Salma, now in her 30s, has no home and is deprived of seeing her six children following her divorce. When she tried to take them, she was thrown in prison for six months.

As if all this was not enough. After she was divorced and her children taken away, her father tried to sell her again – this would-be husband refused to offer more than SR100,000.

But it was her not her father who turned down that offer. Feeling that she had enough, she packed and fled her home.

“I was only 13 when this rich old man came and paid my father SR250,000. I was forced to marry a man who is as old as my grandfather… I was snatched off my fifth class at that age,” said Salma, from the central town of Makkah.

“He took me to his home in Madina and there I found that he already has three wives… I then started to spend my time playing with his children as I was a child and had no idea about marriage life.”

Salma, now in her 30s, said her marriage lasted around 17 years, during which she gave birth to four daughters and two sons.

“During my marriage to this man, I suffered from torture and very bad treatment… I then fled to my family’s house and stayed there with my children for nearly three years, after which I was divorced.”

The Saudi Alikhbariya newspaper said Salma first refused to give back the children to her ex-husband, prompting him to go to court.

“Police arrested me and I was jailed for six months… when I was released, I went back to my family and stayed for a while before another old man came and paid SR100,000 to marry me,” she said.

According to Timo:

A christian group, Christians for Israel, organized three benefit concerts here in Holland with cooperation of the Israeli army band, Tzahal. Anja Meulenbelt, (pic. left with stinky Arafat) a socialist senator of the SP party, called for a counter protest, together with some pro-Palestinian groups, one of them is called Sabeel (meaning “The Way” in Arabic).

We went to the first demo to see what would happen, there was a second concert yesterday in Groningen, but not much spectacular happened there. In Dordrecht, Sabeel showed up for the protest, some time later a group of neo-Nazi’s showed up as well.

In the video you can hear one group chanting : Israel Schande Schande – Bloed aan je handen,  it means : Israel Shame Shame – Blood on your hands . You obviously here two different tones : meaning both groups singing the same chant, when the neo-Nazis sing the leftists even whistle along!

NOTE: The Tundra Tabloids has been invited to many events like this in Helsinki, but since Finland’s Muslim population is no where near the level in other European states, we don’t have any of the freaks protesting against them. KGS

Noisy Demonstration at Kunstmin

RTV Dordrecht: A small group of protesters tonight a noisy demonstration was held at Theatre Kunstmin. The protest was against the action of Tzahal, a dance and music group from Israel. This group consists of conscripts. The protesters believe that the members have to answer before the International Court. The demonstration was called by the Dutch foundation, Friends of Sabeel. In Kunstmin were also some people with Israeli flags in protest against the demonstration. The Israeli Ambassador in the Netherlands in Kunstmin attended the concert.

NOTE: The righteous were present as well.

CAIRO — The bodies of scores of protesters shot dead by security forces loyal to longtime leader Muammar Gaddafi littered the streets of a restive district in the Libyan capital on Tuesday, according to a Libyan opposition activist and a Tripoli resident.

Tripoli’s inhabitants hunkered down in their homes after the killings and warnings by forces loyal to Gaddafi that anyone on the streets would be shot, Mohammed Ali of the Libyan Salvation Front and the local resident said.

FINNISH FOREIGN MINISTY REJECTS ARMING SHIPPING CREWS AGAINST PIRACY

“The countries of European flag-carriers reject arrangements of this sort. The thinking is that the threat of violence to crews would increase if violence is met with violence.”

So what the Finnish Foreign Ministry’s Unit of EU and Treaty Law, Ms. Kaija Suvanto, is trying to say is, Finnish sailors who come into contact with Somali pirates, should prepare themselves to be held captive by these thugs.

The only logical thing to happen from such an obvious failure of a decision, is for the ship owners to reflag themselves with a country that allow s common sense rules of engagement, people need to defend themselves from being held captive by jihadi pirates. KGS

Officials Reject Call for Armed Guards on Finnish Vessels

Finnish officials have rejected calls to place armed guards aboard Finnish cargo ships. Both the Foreign Ministry and police officials have turned down a proposal by the Finnish Shipowners’ Association to use soldiers or armed guards to protect ships in waters off the coast of Somalia. The International Maritime Organisation, the IMO, has urged owners to upgrade security in the face of the growing problem of piracy.

The IMO recently sent a letter to member states and other partners demanding improvements in security arrangements aboard ships at sea. According to the organization, the situation has significantly worsened this year and the warships sent by various countries to patrol the area have not had the impact on piracy that was hoped.

Insurers and private security firms have undertaken to solve the problem themselves. Currently in Britain, steps are underway to establish a private marine corps with its own warship and a force of 150 men. The international security giant G4S is offering owners the services of a special force of British ex-soldiers. According to the company, this special unit has had an average of 40 assignments a month over the past few years.

Finnish security companies are interested in similar operations, at least in theory, even though so far there have not been requests, according to Petri Miettinen of the security services provider Turvatiimi.

“So far none has been received, but when the first request comes in, it will be analysed and an opinion will be sought from the authorities. After that, thought will be given to how it could be carried out in practice,” explains Miettinen.

Dutch senator’s call for ban on sharia law is enthusiastically welcomed by Wilders

Islamophobiawatch: Christian Union Senator Roel Kuiper wants to amend the Dutch constitution to include a ban on Sharia, Islamic law. Senator Kuiper made his statement in an interview with newspaper Trouw.

The Christian Union politician wants to ban Islamic law because it is “not rooted in principles which form part of Dutch culture. Our rights, the way we treat each other, our norms of good and evil have all been molded by Christianity.”

Mr Kuiper argues that Islamic law is still grounded in retaliation, while the laws of a democratic constitutional state are geared toward forgiveness, correction and reconciliation. “Our laws are not based on ‘an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth’. Our legal system applies the law, but knows reconciliation must follow.” Senator Kuiper also wants to regulate the flow of money from Arab countries to Dutch mosques. The Christian Union politician says these measures are necessary “to take the Islam debate in the Netherlands a step forward”.

Freedom Party leader Geert Wilders has enthusiastically welcomed Senator Kuiper’s proposal. “Sharia is based on the Qur’an. So this means an end to head scarves, halal food, the Qur’an etc.”

Woman in burqa goes amok with knife

BT.No: Without warning, the woman would have attacked a motorist and a pedestrian on the Minde in Bergen on Friday. The attack on Fabrikgate was reported to police at 14.01.

– We first received notification that it was a man in a black burqa who threw objects at cars, “says operations manager Ron Lentføhr in the Hordaland police district.

When police arrived, it turned out that the perpetrator was a woman, armed with iron rods and knives.

– She was arrested with a patrol dog and is mentally imbalanced, “said Lentføhr.

The woman in the full burka would have turned loose on a car with an iron rod. She also slashed up another woman with a knife.

The victim suffered cuts in the ear, and was transported to the emergency room in the city center. Burqa-woman being treated in the same place, before she might be put under arrest.

Iranian Warships Having an Outsize Impact

[…] Avigdor Lieberman announced that the Iranian task force is headed to Syria. Assuming this bears out, the Assad regime will get to have the best of both worlds: a brand-new American ambassador — dispatched in January with vows of “engagement” — and a historic visit from the warships of revolutionanary Iran. As Israeli authorities point out, moreover, Iran stated earlier that the naval task force would spend up to a year in the Mediterranean. Its base of operations is likely to be Syria, but triumphal port visits to Beirut are undoubtedly on Tehran’s to-do list.

The ships themselves are hardly impressive: one frigate with old anti-ship missiles and one barely armed replenishment ship. From that perspective, the reactions of global markets might seem excessive. These ships can’t fight a war. But the reactions are actually quite rational. The big shift here is in political perceptions of power. The important facts are that revolutionary, terror-sponsoring Iran — under U.S., EU, and UN sanctions — feels free to conduct this deployment, and Syria feels free to cooperate in it. Egypt’s interim rulers apparently saw no reason to block the Suez transit, in spite of the Egyptians’ very recent concern over Iranian-backed terrorists and insurgents operating on their territory. Saudi Arabia, for its part, considered it prudent to host the Iranian warships last week — in spite of the Saudis’ own conviction that Iran has been aiding rebel groups that threaten Saudi territory.

The cooperation from the Arab nations should not be misread, however. The Arabs have no desire to see Iran in a position of regional hegemony. The threat of that prospect will raise the stakes for the governmental turmoil in the Arab world. The view is likely to gain momentum that Arabs need to organize as much to counter Iran as to address their own domestic issues. That factor — so inimical to the unforced development of political liberalism — was never going to be dismissible; the Iranian warship deployment makes it inevitable.

US AGREES TO REBUKE ISRAEL AT UN AS IRAN SENDS SHIPS THROUGH SUEZ

The Tundra Tabloids has warned about this moment for over three years. Obama lied to US Jews and Christians in his campaign promises about protecting Israel, it was plain as day if one bothered to take a look at all the people he was surrounding himself with as advisors. What the Obama administration is doing, is actually taking serious a Palestinian resolution condemning the settlements in the disputed territories of Judea and Samaria.

What this means is, Obama is considering the lesser of two evils when he should be dismissing either with the wave of the hand. He knows all too well that signing on to the alternative option of “not accepting the legitimacy of the settlements“, will invigorate, and enable Israel’s enemies to ramp up the demonization of the Jewish state on the international level.

But that’s not the only worry Israel has, this disaster of a US presidency, in both foreign and domestic policies, has shown an amateurism not seen since the Carter years and the enemies of both the US and Israel, most noticeably the Iranians, have taken note, and are busy flexing their muscles while the US has been barely able to mutter a response. This disastrous reincarnation of Carter-like amateurism will be the lasting legacy of the Obama (one term) administration.

It’s not a small feat to wrestle the mantle of the worst presidency for failures in both foreign and domestic policies  from the neck of former US president, Jimmy Carter, but that is what Barack Hussein Obama has managed to do, and in a rather convincing way. The TT assumes that the Israelis would agree with its analysis as well. KGS

NOTE: The wording of the document does indeed make it problematic for the Arabs to accept, (not declaring that pre-existing settlements as illegitimate) but from a propaganda perspective, what matters most, is if they do accept it. It’s bound to be a propaganda victory for the opposition, who will most undoubtedly promote it as a US’ rejection of the entire Israeli settlement policy, no matter how many times it’s explained to mean otherwise, the anti-Israel opposition and the media will just run with it.

In sharp reversal, U.S. agrees to rebuke Israel in Security Council

The U.S. informed Arab governments Tuesday that it will support a U.N. Security Council statement reaffirming that the 15-nation body “does not accept the legitimacy of continued Israeli settlement activity,” a move aimed at avoiding the prospect of having to veto a stronger Palestinian resolution calling the settlements illegal.

But the Palestinians rejected the American offer following a meeting late Wednesday of Arab representatives and said it is planning to press for a vote on its resolution on Friday, according to officials familar with the issue. The decision to reject the American offer raised the prospect that the Obama adminstration will cast its first ever veto in the U.N. Security Council.

Still, the U.S. offer signaled a renewed willingness to seek a way out of the current impasse, even if it requires breaking with Israel and joining others in the council in sending a strong message to its key ally to stop its construction of new settlements. The Palestinian delegation, along with Lebanon, the Security Council’s only Arab member state, have asked the council’s president this evening to schedule a meeting for Friday. But it remained unclear whether the Palestinian move today to reject the U.S. offer is simply a negotiating tactic aimed at extracting a better deal from Washington.

Navy on alert as 2 Iranian warships transit Suez Canal

Lieberman: This is a provocation that proves the Iranians’ overconfidence is growing from day to day.

The Israel Navy was tracking two Iranian warships as they were set to make a rare crossing of the Suez Canal early Thursday morning.

The vessels were to cross into the Mediterranean Sea on their way to Syria. Defense officials said Israel would monitor them, although their presence in the sea would not change anything for the navy’s operational deployment.

“It is strange for the Iranian Navy to use the Suez Canal since it really doesn’t have anything to do in the Mediterranean Sea,” one official said.

Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman called the planned transit of the canal by the ships a “provocation that proves that the overconfidence of the Iranians is growing from day to day.”

Speaking at a meeting in Jerusalem of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations, Lieberman lashed out at the international community, which he said was not doing enough to confront Iranian provocations.

He also said he expected the world to “put the Iranians in their place. We are the true allies of the United States in the region, and the only ones that share its values. The international community needs to understand that Israel will not be able to ignore these provocations forever.”

An ambulance rushed the unnamed man to the nearest medical centre in the capital Riyadh before he was flown by helicopter to a specialized hospital for treatment, ‘Sharq’ Arabic language daily said.

“His wife begged him not to marry again but he did not listen to her….she then severed his penis with a big knife,” it said.

“He was taken to hospital in a serious condition because of heavy bleeding,” it added without making clear if the man’s penis was restored.
